She is an amazing professor, she really wants her students to do well and will help you whenever you need her. Very intelligent and one of the best professors at whitewater.

Professor Amann has an incredible gift to inspire her students to actually enjoy accounting. I've heard horror stories about the class, but she constantly keeps it real- with some of the best stories relating to accounting you could ever hear. Also, this is her first year teaching here and her students score higher than everyother professor.

Excellent teacher. Class is more like a stand-up comedy, and you still learn a lot. Makes accounting as fun as it can be. Prepares you well for the exams. Gives lots of extra credit opportunities. I would strongly recommend this professor to any accounting student.

She has to be one of my favorite teachers at Whitewater. She makes the material far easier to understand. She cracks little jokes daily. Plus she does review sessions for the tests. Attendance is a must for this class though. Mondays you read the chapter & go over it. Then Wednesdays go over & turn in the homework

Was a little concerned about taking Accounting, as I had been told how hard it was. Professor Amann is FANTASTIC! Can not say enough nice things about her. Made it interesting (for a very dull topic) and made it relevant. If you need/enjoy accounting you definitely want to take her.

Keeps interest of students. takes class fun Uses great Examples. I failed twice then took her and LOVED the class. All you need to do is come to class and do the homework. She bases it on points so every point you earn helps. homework is not graded just check for completion and does not have to complete if working on it for to long. Awesome teacher

I have been lucky enough to have Linda for 244, 249, as well as ITBE 280 and she is the best professor I have encountered on campus so far! I had a little difficulties with her when I tried to communicate via phone and email. But I know she's really nice and very quirky. She makes class very interesting and easy to learn. You don't have to attend class but it makes the homework and quizzes much easier. I've also heard great reviews of her accounting class from friends as well.

Linda was the best accounting teacher I have had. Accounting is a dull topic, but she knows it. She is strange, but she keeps you on your toes. She has a forgiving grading scale. If you have to take accounting 244, take it with Mrs. Amann.

Linda is great! She definitely helps you understand Excel and Access if you show up to class. The lecture itself is interesting, but you need to go to understand the material.The SAM assignments aren't too bad. There is a final exam, but it's not bad.

Linda is a great professor. She's sort of weird but she hilarious, she'll always keep you entertained. Couple easy quizzes, homework due every week but as long as you do it you get full points. She's super nice. Exams i thought were super hard and it sucks that they're on Fridays. But take her!

She helps a lot with learning excel and access. She's weird but funny. She moves very fast and i often lost my place and wasn't able to do the work in class. There's an assignment due every week and also a quiz, the quizzes are super easy. Linda is super nice and wants everyone to succeed.

Greatest Prof. I have ever had hands down. I am taking Linda twice next semester because I loved her that much. Explains things thoroughly and always wants students to do their best. She is funny because she likes to joke around like a kid would and keeps you entertained. Cannot say enough about how awesome she is.

I took Linda for 244 last year, and again for ITBE280 this year. I can't say enough about how awesome she is. She always fully explains everything and ensures that all the students know what they need to. Great professor - if you get a chance, take her!!

Linda is hilarious and is good at making uninteresting things seem interesting. She explained things clearly and made sure we knew what would be on the exam as well as each weekly assignment. Attendance is not mandatory, but you need to go to be able to do the weekly assignments, or else learn how to teach yourself from the book.

I LOVED AMANN. She has a quarky sense of humor and has a different way of looking at things that just kicks. She makes class fun and really knows her stuff and does what she can to help you succeed.

She is very personable and doesn't tall above you like a lot of professors! Don't let that fool you! Her tests are all strict and by the book so make sure you know all your terms! Also, she has been know as someone that slaps chapter 14 (cheating and dismissed from UW system) against students if they are caught cheating. Other than that shes great

I loved having Linda. Her lectures are so involved in the course work and she makes sure you understand where she's coming from. She fully understands that accounting can suck and you are being forced to take her class. With that being said, she's 120% there for you and wants to help you get an A in her class. Just do the homework and have fun!

Professor Amann is a great professor! She cares about her students success. You print all of her powerpoint lectures before class because she doesn't want students to be taking notes rather than actually learning. She puts accounting into very understandable terms and always has great analogies. I would definitely take her again!

Linda is fantastic. She is more than willing to help with concepts, and makes sure that people understand the material. She'll never shame you for not knowing an answer and genuinely wants to make sure you get it. Homework can take a while but it sticks with you, and the exams aren't as bad as people pretend, you just have to study.

Show up to class and you will pass. She is an expert with Excel and Access and will make you feel comfortable even if you've never used them before. She remembers names and is funny, plus she gives out test answers for people who show up! The textbook was $160 dollars though, but she's trying to change that because it's ridiculous.

She is the best professor I have ever had thus far in my college career. She's really funny and strange, but she knows how to make any subject interesting. If she notices that the class is starting to lose interest, she'll tell a story of something wacky that she's done in her life. I haven't had a class with her in over a year and we still talk

Great professor. I've taken her for three classes now and have enjoyed all of them. She brings things down to an understandable level and gives great (and funny) examples to keep the lecture from being dry. Does assign homework, but based on a "try" factor and if you at least try and hand it in it's easy points to boost your grade.

Homework and a quiz follow each week, however, they don't take up much time. If you know Excel and Access you'll do fine and she follows the book by the word.

Linda is hands down the best professor I have ever had. Everything you need to know, she has in her powerpoint, and she will go over it until you understand it. The homework seems tedious but it really helps. Although the exams are standardized, she adequately prepares you, and makes sure the class has gone over anything that could be on the exam.

Linda makes the Excel/Access part of this class so easy! You have a quiz and a homework assignment almost every week but as long as you show up to class and pay attention you can get 100% every time. We only had 2 tests and they are pretty easy if you look over the book and prepare. Take her!!

honestly, the best professor for this class. went through all of the homework before you had the assignment so it was a lot easier to do. always cracked jokes and kept you entertained and interested. Linda teaches the excel/access part of the course. She ultimately made going to class very fun and I learned more about excel and access (which I have never had experience in) along the way. She makes class enjoyable and she does teach a pretty dry subject effectively. Funny too. Tests are not bad at all.

Linda was great! I went into Accounting 244 worried that I wouldn't be able to pass the class, and ended with an A. She was so helpful and gave as much review time as everyone needed. Loved her and would recommend her to anyone. If she taught Accounting 249 I would have taken her again.

Linda is amazing, both as a teacher and as a person, I look forward to her classes. If taking accounting, make sure to read the book in advance! I haven't taken accounting before yet I understood it well, and if I didn't get a chapter I noticed outlining/taking notes helped me understand it way better. Accounting 244 was the first Accounting classes that I had taken. With Linda, there's homework every week, but your points are based off if you tried or not. The exams are the same for everyone. Linda makes it really easy.

Excel is tough but Linda tries her best to make it easier for everyone. While she does fly through it she gives you the chance to ask questions or you can try and learn it on the homework assignments. Tough class but you can survive

She is funny professor that will go over excel all class. She does take attendance during class, so I'd go if I were you. There is a very clear grading criteria and there may be extra credit, but usually only if your class is dumb. Graded on: 7 Quizzes, 7 SAM Projects, 2 Exams.

Linda is a great Professor! She keeps the class nice and lively and is very knowledgeable about excel. Even if you struggle with the excel parts, there is plenty of resources online that can help you out. You also get 3 attempts for each homework assignment (and it tells you what you did wrong). The tests are not bad either.

I loved Linda! She's so funny and wants everyone to do well. She is a good teacher. She keeps the class interesting. Beware of going on your phone/not paying attention, she goes pretty quick. SHOW UP TO CLASS- if you do not go, you'll regret it. Textbook recommended. The only reason why I got a C is because I kept on forgetting to do the projects on time. Also, do homework, she doesn't reopen if late.

Linda is a professor that really enjoys what she does for a living, I enjoyed her lectures and found them to be helpful when preparing for exams. She has a lot of lab days for students that have Mac computers (or those that need help) so, completing required excel modules are doable without your own computer if you take advantage of that.

Professor Amann is a HOOT! She loves what she does and keeps it interesting. She expects you to follow along because she cares about your grade. Her joint class with Basu is structured perfectly and makes it really hard to fail. Would take her again if I could.

I took her for web design. She is a great teacher and is always willing to help. One class period a week is usually a lab day where you can work on assignments and ask questions. She is one the best professors I've had.

The sweetest lady you will ever meet! Do not miss class or you will be completely lost in the class and will not do well on assignments. You have two exams only and homework but it's not that much. You really learn a lot about Excel. She is very hyper, but also really nice and funny. 2 tests, pretty easy bc she tells you exactly what to study. Homework like once a week, but it is also very easy. Take Linda, you won't regret it

This class had quite a bit of homework, but none of it felt like wasted time, and none of it was that hard, but expect to do quite a bit outside of class. People like to skip class so if you come regularly, Amann will appreciate that and allot extra credit, or other helpful advice. Informative class.

She was really nice and the assignments are generally easy and useful. I learned a lot about Excel, which is cool because it'll be helpful in my future career. With the discussions, I didn't feel she was always clear about what she wanted, and the hardware lectures were sometimes dry and hard to follow. It was an easy A for a 6 week summer class.

Not many teachers are as real as Linda. She made excel not boring. The grade percentages for assignments makes it easy to get an A. Teaches you only what you need to know for projects and exams. Very flexible. What stood out to me the most is how she will but forth the work for the students. She is flexible, has many resources and is professional

She goes over the entire homework in class before you do it. The book gives step by step instructions too. Tons of resources for help. The one annoying thing is she has these "Principles" chapters that she doesn't cover, but they have one small quiz and you just have to read the chapter or look for answers in the text.

Professor Amann has the demeanor of a caring mom. She is very nice and it's fun to listen to her lectures. With COVID going on, class was hybrid in-person and online, or you could choose to be all online. SAM projects could be tough but everything else is easy enough to make up for that difficulty. Very organized. Solid choice for 280.

Professor Amann is a great choice. If you are taking ITSCM, take her. I did not love the course material, but that is my own personal preference. If you do not show up to class, she won't help you over email. So go to class. The tests and quizzes are easy. The SAM Projects will take you a while, do those ahead of time.

Wonderful teacher. Was so good I changed my major to IT. Sam projects are a little annoying, but if you listen in class, you should be fine. Easy to get in contact with. Must take teacher.

Attendance is "mandatory" but I skipped most of the classes and she only docked me a few points for that. She is always willing to be honest when she doesn't know the answer to a question off the top of her head and will find out the right answer for you. This prof was accommodating and the content was easy enough.

She is a caring person and is there to help you succeed. Come to class and you'll pass easily. The homework wasn't too hard and she gives study sets for each exam.

If you have the chance to take ITSCM 280 with Linda Amann, DO IT! She makes it SO EASY to succeed! She sets up the modules on Canvas so that all you have to do is go down the list and do the work. There is NO guessing or wandering! All the links are provided for you! The text book is optional but HIGHLY recommended. Good for future use.

Easy class, just do your homework and you'll be fine. The exams are easy, and they are open book/open notes.

The class was online and was organized better than any I had taken before. She provides you with multiple ways to learn/study the material. I think she basically ruined online learning for me, because I doubt I will have another instructor that performs to the same level. Definitely take her.

Linda is very caring and provides a wealth of readings/videos/practice for you to learn how you want before taking the graded assignments. As an online course, stuff was due every or every other week. It would've been very easy to fall behind because even with my watching the videos at double speed, I still spent 6-8 hours each week on this class.

Great professor! All assignments are through Cengage. The training for the Excel modules help. I recommend using the training labs during the exams, they are basically the same. The class is fast paced so make sure to have plenty of time for the Excel projects. After a project is submitted, you can see what you got wrong and how to fix it.

She gives 3 extra credit assignments. For the Excel projects, she gives you hints on the instructions to guide you through. She emails you back quickly which is very helpful. I took the class during winterim and I highly recommend her! Everything is in Cengage and the exams are taken from the virtual labs - 36 questions.

Linda really knows the contents she is lecturing, making it super enjoyable. She offers many ways to learn to accommodate all students. I took this course during winter and it was a lot of work, but not too bad if you stay on top of it. The prof is very personable, even online. I would 100% recommend Linda to anyone!

Professor gives students plenty of resources to use when doing homework. Homework can get increasingly difficult with SQL. There are 4 participation questions for each weekly PowerPoint. No complaints.

Linda is a solid prof, she is very good at explaining concepts over and over again so that they stick. There is 2 exams and 1 final project. Class is structured so that the first half of the semester is all microsoft access and the second half is coding in SQL. The final project is on excel. Study the presentations and you'll do good in the class.

I loved taking this class with Linda! She reinforces topics over and over in lectures, so when it gets to the exam, you truly understand what you are being tested on. I enjoyed this class, and she made coding in SQL very easy to learn.
