Very good professor. If you come to class, do every week's assignment you'll be fine. She also gives extra credit. she like to push her students and tries to cover and explain everything as best she can. Very fair.

Good professor. A lot of work! You will work for your grade The first test is really hard but it has a curve and the other 2 tests are easier, and the final was easier then all three tests given. There is also a final paper which is not too hard but takes up a lot of time. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT IN THE CLASS, it will raise your grade by a letter.

i had prof blanchette for bio 150. she is a great teacher. she is so smart in all aspects. she answers your questions very thoroughly and in depth. she is a very very hard teacher, but its worth it.

She gives alot of work which she believes is useful for the students, she teaches on power point snd has notes available on blackboard.Her quizzes are fair if you study the notes on blackboard. I took this class in the summer and recieved an A-. I dont know what the other students are talking about. If you know your material you pass point blank.

All who said this teacher is hard is lazy. This is college not HS biology! you expect to slack off and still pass. she is great and I hope she stays at CSI to make ya'll wise up. After class she's more than happy to answer any questions. She at class early BEGGING people to probe her brain and ever1 sits, fail the tests and then blame the teacher.

She is NOT an EASY prof & she tells you that on Day 1. She is very STR8 forward with her policies and the course IS rather intense for a 100-lvl but you can still pass. If you focus on the GREEN WORDS IN her PPTs, you'll ace her quizzes. Your biggest worry is the 10-pg Research Paper. Other than that she give plenty of Extra Credit to help ur grade

If you want to become a pro at BIOLOGY then definately take her course. Even though I flunked, I have the ability to be an adjuct myself. I learned a whole lot but I didn't take the class serious bcuz I wasn't a Bio or Nursing Major. If ur 1 of those majors than DEF take Blanchette but if not then DEFINATELY go with Gatullo or sumthin for an easy A

She was a difficult professor but you witll learn everything there is to know about Biology...I think she is fair and interactive. She waits for you to understand the material and will go over it until you do. She gives many opportunities to bring your grade up. But she expects you to do the work, this class is not an easy A.

I learned more about biology from this professor than I've ever learned in my entire life. Although the quizzes and test aren't exactly easy, she's fair, patient, and she knows what she's talking about. If you ask her to explain something she will. Honestly. It's college. Study and you'll be just fine.

She is a good professor when it comes to explaining the notes in Biology...this class is good if its your only class for the semester. She is very hard and everything is powerpoint even the exams.Her Bio 106 class is ok

Yes she is TOUGH, however you will leave this class knowing your stuff. Yes a quiz everyweek, thats to make sure you study. This class is a prereq for nursing, so if you cant pass it then you shouldn't be a nurse! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! Grow up people, not for the lazy or cry babies!!!!

Loved this class! You have to stay on top of your reading and the professor is just amazing at answering your questions ALL the time.She made me understand so much about bio and she made me love it even more! It's tough but it all depends on your willpower and want to learn and succeed.

Hands down, she is THE best professor that I've ever had, and I'm going for a second undergrad degree. So, I've seen a lot of different professors. As long as you study hard, you will do very well. If you fail to study, then you will fail her class. Nothing mysterious about that, and there is NO favoritism. You actually have to work/study though

Prof. Blanchette will make you work for your grade so dont even think about that easy A, her quizzes are quite easy if u study the slides, you must read the textbook and prepare for the department final which is hard and try not to be absent and you'll do fine, got a B+

Prof. Blanchette was one of the most informative biology professors that I have taken. She is tough, but gives a lot of extra credit and curves all quizzes and exams. If you are confused she is more than happy to help and answers your questions explicitly. Not an easy A, but if you want to learn biology, you should definitely take her!

This professor is excellent! As long as you read the textbook, as assigned, and study it, then you can be sure to get a good grade. If you are lazy and don't read, then you will not do well. Fair! Also, she makes the material more interesting by the way she explains things in class.

She is an excellent professor I would say and she knows her material. Also, she has amazing stories in which we can connect to the stories. If you are doing Nursing, take her because she used to work at the hospital with the nurses and she knows her information. . She does have weekly quizzes but if you study, then you should do excellent.

Its College BIO,You have to study hard! She is very helpful.Gives quizzes every week and 4 exams + departmental final. Also ten page research paper, you have to take it serious though cos it like 20% of ur grade.

Very Interesting! Explains things easily and effectively. If you pay attention in class, read the chapter, and study, the quizzes and tests should be passable. Beware though, take-home tests are very hard to understand and harshly graded. There is also the issue of timing, so make sure you're following the syllabus even if the class isn't there yet

(BIO 106) Hard, but fair. There is a 10 page research paper due at the end of the semester. There is a quiz every week. She drops the two lowest scores and the lowest for the tests. Gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. Has old fashioned rules like taking off your hat when in class.

This professor is only tough if you are not willing to study. She knows her material well and if you actually comprehend what is being taught you will get an A. If you are lazy do not take her class. If you aren't you will love her! Very characteristic professor and loves the subject.

She is a stiff grader, but she does know her stuff. If you are not a nursing or science major don't take her it won't be easy. She does give extra credit assignments throughout the semester.

Even though the textbook isn't used in class, she tests on what is in the textbook as well as what is in the lectures and the powerpoints. She makes you print out all of the slides, so be prepared to waste paper. If you ask for help, you'll get it, and she does offer some extra credit. Overall, I would take her again if I had to.

Professor Blanchette is a very good teacher and sweet lady who is there for her students. If you are struggling let her know from early on and she will try her best to work with you. Do the extra credit options, as well as the paper. Those will definitely help your grade. Stay focus; study hard and don't give up.

This professor forces you to study. Her quizzes are hard, but it will prepare you for the future. She is happy to help and passionate about the subject. Take her if you want to learn things, don't take her if you are not ready to study.

Here's the thing about Blanchette; she is a very knowledgable professor. Altho she was by far the hardest professor I had, I learned ALOT! She's very understanding. STUDY, SHOW UP, STAY OFF YOUR PHONE. I think she's the only prof. that still gives 10pg research paper though, so think about it. If you want an easy class, this isn't for you.

Blanchette's class was the hardest class I ever took. She's a very tough grader to the point where you want to cry, but if you really try hard in the class trust me it pays off! Do good on the research paper and on the final and it will balance the bad grades out. Do ALL THE EXTRA CREDIT SHE GIVES. It helps and it's added on to your final grade!

Professor Blanchette is by far one of the hardest professors i have ever had. She is a great professor but you will have to study that textbook for hours if you want to earn a good grade. The hardest professor I ever took, I never studied so hard for a class in my life and basically used the BB slides to teach myself most of it. The lectures are informative but if you want to pass without studying good luck. She also makes you do a 10 rsch paper. I don't regret taking her because she helped me grow as a person by passing the class.

Although she's a VERY tough professor, she is honestly one of the best. Yes the quizzes and exams are hard, but you have to study for them and if you're struggling and speak to her about it she will definitely find a way to help you. She has a very strong character but is very understanding and caring. MINUS THE RESEARCH PAPER DUE AT THE END.

Truthfully I thought she was a great professor and she truly taught me so much. She may give a lot of work but she is a very sweet woman. Quizzes are far from difficult as long as you review the chapter a little before. I'll give you that the test are difficult & the 10 page paper is annoying. You just have to work hard but in the end it's worth it

If you are the person who came here to get knowledge, she will help you. She is an amazing lecturer. Her examples are so vivid and helpful. Quizzes are easy. All you have to do 1)read the book and 2)listen to her lectures. I was scared of her rating on this website and wanted to drop and I'm glad I did not)))) Highly recommended.

Professor Linda blanchette makes it easy, she ia giving you a passing grade already but you just have to build it by teaching yourself and in general she makes it easy for those who have kids and work as well because her exams are online and she gives about 3-5 days to complete which i think its fare. Professor Blanchette is a kind and funny woman. The great thing about her class is that the test and quizzes are online. She posts them on the weekends and gives you more than enough time. Reads off powerpoint but explains herself if asked. Gives multiple extra credit. 5 page final paper on a hypothesis you would like to test.
