Way at the top of my list of fine teachers. She is enthusiastic, interesting, and genuinely cares about her students(she learned all 60 names in about 2 weeks). Gotta work hard for an A, but well worth the effort.

I dont know what to say about her, I think she is so weird. One day she loves u, the other day she is like hell.

a very good teacher. we never use the book, but she does lecture all the time and you must take notes so you can pass the tests. she even lets you know what short essay questions will be on every test. her homework is very, very easy.

I had her for BIO 150 and it was a very interesting class b/c mrs. brandt shows her enthuisiasm for the subject. She teaches you to understand, not memorize..test questions are from the PCQ's and essays are given beforehand. Just study the PCQ's and you'll be fine. I Got an A in the class :).

I love Ms. Brandt sooo much. I got my bacholer's degree in biology because of her. I just started my Master's degree also in biology and i wish that she teaches my biology in my entire life. I will go back to my country but i will never forget her.

She is the best bio teacher you will every find. Very enthusiastic and wonderfull. She is like a big mom. I love her very much and miss her a lot. Definitelly take her. IF you study a little you will get A

Mrs. Bramdt is a very great biology teacher. She really makes biology interesting. She tries to help the students gain extra points, and she is very fair with her grading.

Prof. Brandt is the greatest teacher and person I have ever met. Her dedication to not only teaching Biology, but making sure you understand it is totally amazing. She inspires me to continue with my pursuit of the Biological Sciences and I feel that when I attend the University of Michigan-Dearborn, I will be the most prepared student there.

I don't know i liked mrs. Brandt at the begining but she has been absent like 3 times i did not like that. I felt that she is moody I don't know why but she is good u can get A in her class if u study her notes .

she is moody but she is a very good professor, many things she mentions in her lectures you incounter in upper level cources. I am doing so good in upper biology classes at UofM-D and its all because Mrs. Brandt has talked about them before. She is a perfect professor for the perfect students, so be serious about her class.

I think Ms. Brandt is a great teacher, and not moody at all. She is funny and is very down to earth. She provide you with tons of notes and is a cool lady.

I LOVER HERRR!!!! She was by far the best teacher i have ever had. I received an A in her class, and i learned so much. She was so down to Earth and broke everything down so we all understood. If you have to take Bio. take it with her!!!

She's the best! As long as you respect her and the class she respects you. She's fair and upfront about what will be on the tests. No trick questions essay questions are even given a few days before the tests.

GREAT instructor. She is crystal clear. She gives great examples! If you use her pre class questions as a study guide you will do extremely well in the course and you will retain most of the information! I strongly recommend her!!!!

great teacher. make biology interesting. she gives outlines that have all of the information you need for the tests on them. you really dont even use the book

She is the wonderful teacher, she loves the subject and she can teach it well, take her if you really want to learn bio but you do have to work at it but she will help you and she cares about her students and makes sure everyone understands it trust me bio can be boring and I still loved it

Great Teacher but not an easy A. She teaches you what you need to know for future reference. To get an A in the class you got to read the book and do the study guide questions. She takes questions from the study guide and puts it on the study guide. Don't be late to class because she really hates it when students are late. i would take her again

We all know bio is hard as hell but if you have to take it take it with her, shes strict and don't play games but she give you so many examples its impossible not to understand what you are doing, if you like being late dont take her she dont play that late stuff,she will embarrass you in front of the classlol but she is American so she speaks clea

I have to disagree with the ratings below. This is college, your here to work. Yes shes a little difficult, but honestly..not reallyyy. She does a great job presenting the material...and yes she doesnt like you coming in late, but why should you? Its rude. Act like an adult, be respectful, work hard, and youll do just fine. Take her.

Linda Brandt is a (tough as nails,accept no excuses,be your best self) professional. If you dont have the drive to learn and appreciate biology and conduct yourself in a professional manner, she wont have time for you. Consider yourself "in the way". If you are ready, she will show you the world. She keeps good office hours and is dedicated.

I took Mrs Brandt 2 years ago and I was just browsing on this website for my current teacher and just thought I'de drop in and see what other students are saying about her ,simply because she was and still is the best teacher I have ever had in my 3 years of college so far! I took her in BIO 150 and BIO 152 and absolutly loved her classes!

this teacher is the best teacher you will ever take.this class is an easy A.all u have to do is just participate a little & be in lab on time & in every lab,especially in spring semesters,& you have an A.she puts up practice exams before every exam & the same exact questions come in the real exam, she just adds a couple questions!!!!

show up.be prepared(not rlly just act like u r),be nice,act interested,ask a lot of questions,participate, and ur ok!she DOES NOT get mad if some one walks in late!!!i dont know where ppl get this from.take her in spring semesters,u get practice exams that are copies of the real test,and no lab exams!!totally awesome teacher and very nice and kind.

BEST TEACHER EVER!! She's the reason why I LOVE BIO now. The best/most fun class I EVER took. Extremely clear lectures and amazing presentation. Gives examples of everything to make sure students understand. By far the best teaching I've seen in my college career. Labs are the BEST!!!I looked forward to attending this class every day!! She's probably the funniest bio teacher there is, especially during the evolution unit. She's very helpful and is available most of the time after class for questions. Study the book, and take notes from it, do questions from the Student Study Guide, and you're guaranteed an A!

Dr. Brandt is a pretty knowledgeable teacher and isn't ashamed to tell you when she doesn't know something. She can be very nice,but also very moody. Though never recieved anay, she handed out a number of snarky remarks to students. Not sure if i'd take her again, not all material is gone over in lecture.

the only people who would have any reason to complain about this class are the ones who are too lazy to do the practice exam. the only way to fail this class is by just sitting on your rear end and staring in space(i would still expect a B). labs are extremely fun, and time flys by in her class.

She's pretty nice and enthusiastic about her class. What I like about her is that when she tells you something is on the test, its ON the test, she doesn't fool around she gives you a practice exam and study questions for every unit. Make sure you do those!! They are ur key to passing this class! Just make sure u don't leave studying a last minute!

Mrs. Brandt is great. She is straight forward and doesn't try to trick you on tests.She gives practice exams, but she will make sure you learn the material. She's only rude to students who are full of BS, come late, and text in class. It's college, so be professional. She recommended me for the Honors Program. She's only mean when you don't try.

Professor was extremely helpful and willing to explain things during office hours. She has long office hours and wide availability. Expert on materials covered.

Great bio teacher for intro courses. She made it fun and interesting. Tests are cake (they're easy for the whole department). Read the book, do the practice questions in class and from the Student Study Guide, and you're golden. Good luck, guys.

I love her! High energy and explains everything so it makes sense. Her classes were really fun. She tells you what will be on the test over & over - LISTEN!!! Never saw her once be moody. One of my favorite teachers ever.

Hands down, the best bio professor in the world. I wish every Biology professor was like her. She is THE BEST. Be prepared to LEARN in her class. You actually feel like going to class, seriously. when this teacher was in 1st grade and was asked what do u want to be when u grow and miz brandt said a teacher....she got it right on the dot. She was born to teach. Take her. All her test is her letures she gives u practice exams that are preatty much the exam itself so u cant lose. really u cant. She is the awesome.

Amazing teacher, enthusiastic personality, and very easy as well. The exams were almost the same as the study guides. The lab quizzes a little annoying though. But, this beats taking this class anywhere else. Its a bang for your buck!

Yes u need to read b4 lecture & lab it is college afterall. Yes her exams r extremely difficult again its college. If u didnt do well in her class did u: 1.read the text & powerpoints 2.go over the mastering biology exercises 3.go to class if not whose fault is it that u didnt do well? i did all of the above & got an A. grow up & stop crying!geesh

Mrs. Brandt is enthusiastic and does everything she can to help students succeed. I learned not only biology but how to study, how to think critically, and how science works. She is a real professional college professor. Overall, she has been the most demanding college instructor I have experienced. An A-! instructor that has earned my respect.

I had Prof. Brandt for BIO 131 in Winter 2012. She is amazing! Her lab test are straight forward. They were pretty easy.She gives a study guide for all lab tests. The lecture tests are difficult, but if you take good lecture notes and do the Mastering Biology online (not mandatory, but helps a lot) you will do very well!!!!

She is dynamic & thorough. She loves BIO & wants you to love it too. All the info was overwhelming to me. This is a difficult class. The tests covered ALOT of material. Do the Mastering Bio, study pre-exam, & pre-essays, you will do better than I did. Brandt is very good professor--you dont find her kind much in a community college.

She definitely knows how to teach, a technique some professors lack! She's so sweet! Her exams are straight forward. I never expected to love biology early on in the course. She will take the time to answer your questions even if it takes extra time away from the lecture.I got an A, did my work, studied for exams (not obsessively) & thats it! :)

Mrs. Brandt is so A-MAY-ZING!!!!! She's a wonderful teacher and she really engages the clss. She's a very stricT Sweetheart - if that makes sense. The study guides make the exams an easy A if you do them thoroughly. You have to study - duh - this class is not an "easy A" class. You have to study! The labs are fun too.

Great professor!loves biology and tries her best to make you love it too, before i took her i had no idea what biology was but she made it so clear for me,she also makes you want to study,just study her power points attend lecture/lab do some mastering biology and you should be fine,over all shes a great professor and cares for her students future

she is a very clear and good teacher overall but she will make you hate her class .. very mean, rude, and have no respect .. she is very annoying .. but still she knows how to teach .. so i would recommend her only if you can ignore her moody attitude each day !

She is an amazing instructor!! I wish that all the instructors were like her!! She really knows how to make the material stick with you! She's very strict, but if you're going there ONLY to learn and pass, then her strictness is a good thing! The first few classes I was terrified of her. She's very strict and will not tolerate being late to her class. Very picky about little things (like writing your section number on EVERYTHING), and will take points off. As semester went on she stayed strict but as long as you were participating, you were on her good side. Study the lectures!!!

Took this class online and it was a breeze. She seemed so nice and the feedback she gave me was always great. I personally live the class online and she was def worth taking if you need a bio credit.

I had her for BIO 131 Lab section. She is amazing, and helpful. Two things I found odd about her. One is there is a quiz every week semester long. Second is if you are late 2 minutes, better not to come. You wont get any credit even if she allows you in. I missed 1 quiz because I was 3 min late. Don't say a word, she will look at you weirdly!!

VERY EASY A IF YOU STUDY. I STUDIED THE DAY BEFORE ALL THE TESTS AND MANAGED TO GET AN A. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!! ONLY BAD THING IS SHE TALKS DURING ALL THE EXAMS.

Mrs. Brandt is a very sweet and does an exceptional job teaching in the classroom. She is very passionate about biology as proven by her mom jokes. SHe really wants her students to succeed and learn the content and is definitely there when you need help. Attendance is not mandatory by she give spontaneous in-class assignments for extra points

The group work is in lab so don't sit by anyone you don't/won't like (you'll regret it). She's AMAZING! She cares about your grade, but you have to put in the work. She's really nice, and loves her students. The students that show her respect and participate, are the types of students she loves. She doesn't grade harsh, she's very sweet.I LOVE HER!

I enjoyed her online class, I was able to pick up on a lot of information. Things were actually exciting to me. She made everything clear for me. If I had a question she was quick to reply and answer. Take this class and you'll enjoy it.

Best Professor for Bio 150. She explains everything clearly. Sometimes she gives out study guides which end up having the same questions that are on the test. Gives out extra credit. She is passive aggressive but if you follow directions you're fine. Lab is easy with her. The info on the test comes from her lectures SO take notes & memorize them

Mrs. Brandt is the best, her lab class was fun; however prepare yourself for a quiz every week. Lecture wasn't bad but make sure to read your notes, there are about eight chapters in one exam; therefor, study a minimum of three days before the exam, btw her class is normally full with smart kids.

Amazing instructor! I have recommended her to many other students and will continue to do so. She really knows what she's talking about and she really wants to see you pass. She mixes up the lab quizzes from MC to SA just to make sure you're understanding what's going on. She makes sure that EVERYONE understands and no one is lost. Best in bio!!!!!

She is really helpful and really takes time to help students. If you read the books it is really easy to pass. Even if you miss a few assignments unless you fail every test there is no way you could fail. She really does care to make sure everyone understands what is being taught and she is very approachable for help.

She is an excellent proposer with a very good sense of humor. In the beginning it will seem a bit hard but then you will grasp everything that is going on very quickly. The subject is actually very easy and you can teach your class. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE NOTES SHE GIVES BECAUSE EVERYTHING ON HER TESTS COME FROM THE NOTES!!! Read the notes easy A.

Mrs. Brandt is a wonderful teacher and really knows her stuff! Although lectures are not mandatory you will benefit greatly from attending. She also gives you all the materials needed to pass this class, as long as you study and do Pre-Lab & Lecture assignments.

Mrs. Brandt is the best professor ever. She teaches very well and types the notes for us. She tells you that you don't need to study the book just her notes and she isn't lying. Tests are 100% from the notes.

Love her! Great teacher, great lectures(interesting too), and caring! I would only study the notes and power points for her class. Although, I do recommend the book to go an extra mile! One tip: follow the directions. If not, she will have a brief lecture about why it's important to follow them. I recommend her! 5 star.

Highly recommended. I took her class online and initially struggled with submissions. She invited me to her office, walked me though the steps, and maintained contact moving forward. I expressed interest in earning a perfect grade and she took the initiative to coach me through the process of earn the best grade possible.

I took her class in the winter 2017 semester I believe. Very good teacher. She is passionate about what she teaches . Her lecture and lab exams are clear with no surprises. If you study the outlines and PowerPoints for lecture, and the lab manual for lab you are set. Just make sure you follow he directions because she will go crazy if you don't lol

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Ms. Brandt is an absolute gem. If you listen and follow directions you're golden. She's very good at having you visualize the material. She goes over the same stuff so it feels repetitive but that's what make the material stick, I promise it works! I would recommend her 10/10! Just listen and follow direction

Show up to lecture and lab. Thats all you need to pass her 4 exams. The final is not commutative. EASY A! I made some mistakes I regret. Her exams are everything she says in lecture and everything on her oulines. RECORD AND TAKE NOTES

Lecture: IMPORTANT IF U WANT TO PASS HER EXAMS she doesn't assign homework at all and I only took one QUIZ in her class EVER. And she gave us her own outlines for her pp. Lab: Just show up and keep up with the EASIEST prelab assignments. quiz every week BUT VERY EASY. she gives answers a week prior. predictable! She will HELP you if ur struggling!

Brandt is an awesome and amazing professor. Definitely not a blow off class, study the online PowerPoints, outlines, attend class, and you'll be completely fine. She has clear lectures but her PowerPoints are mostly pictures. Also doesn't make lab hard at all. She even gives practice exams that will prepare you good for the final. Take her!!!!

I took her class online, its simple just study her powerpoint and read textbook once (book is online don't buy it). She's nice just do your work, you have four exams which are all multiple choice. Get help if needed, show her you care about the course and you'll be fine.

She was SO nice. I'm not a big Biology fan but I found the course really interesting and her lectures were actually relatively fun and easy to understand. It was a decent amount of reading, but I knew what I was getting myself into. Assignments weren't too difficult and she gave a lot of good feedback. Loved reading her responses to my assignments!

Mrs. Brandt is very caring as well as organized. All assignments are clearly spelled out with specific deadlines. Her tests are more than fair. Be sure to do the required reading and homework assignments and you will be fine. Mrs. Brandt gives excellent feedback on assigned work. Great teacher!

I got a better grade in this class with this prof than I did in bio 131 with a different prof. This prof seems so nice and her class was very easy. I enjoyed the class because the coursework was not overwhelming at all. I would take again if I could. She was amazing!!

Professor Brandt is one of the best biology professors out there. Interesting lectures, and the exams are straight from the outline and lecture material. No surprises in this class and there are many resources for help provided by the instructor. Your grade is based off weekly quizzes, 4 exams, and a final project. I recommend taking this class!
