Love Professor Burgess one thing I did not know my grade through the whole semester I'm hoping for an A because I did everything. She is a very down to earth teacher you don't need a textbook which is great. Very nice and helpful with everything. I will be taking her next class.

No worries here with this professor! Completely down to earth and very respectful of you as an individual. This woman is simply amazing. She is the chillest up to date teacher you will ever have. She UNDERSTANDS students and gives the least amount of homework. Her lectures are completely understandable and very eye opening to english for those who are naturally bad at it. I cannot recommend her enough!!!!

Very easy class to take! She gives a good amount of assignments and is very understanding when it comes to not turning an assignment in on time, as long as you don't take advantage of it. She is also very helpful when it comes to questions on assignments. NO TESTS (at least for my class). Definitely recommend this class to everyone! Easy A!

Professor Johnson is very nice you do not need a textbook and this class is basically only about ESSAYS and nothing else although she doesn't require a lot of assignments be careful she can be a tough grader so before submitting an essay check everything specifically your citations and works cited list. Overall she's a great professor!

Prof. Johnson is d best. She is so nice, easy, approachable, always willing 2 help her students & nevr complains wen students take her 4 granted. Classes are easy & interesting. She's very nice and easy going professor. Most of our assignments were several essays, which were fairly easy to get those out of the way, though you just have to be careful not to plagiarize stuff as she can be a bit of a tough grader. At the end, we do those oral presentations, which we can present on anything from careers to literature.

No test. She gives essay everyweek. Those are easy. You can search for the example and do like that. You will be fine. You dont have to show up in class and listen to her lecture. She is very nice. She will give you a chance to resubmit the essay if you pass the due date with no penalty. But she might not a clear grader.

Literally the best English professor at hcc. She's very understanding regardless of whatever background you may come from. If you take her, understand that you will have the best conversations ever, and she also explains the concepts of what goes into a research paper and how to correctly use aspects in your paper

She's super nice and funny. She isn't very organized, and she forgets things very often. However, homework isn't overwhelming, including few papers, online discussions, a quiz, and a presentation. You should finish everything early so you will have time to check the grammar and words usage thoroughly. Asking her in person is the best option.

An amazing professor! Only did two essays for the semester but were not boring at all, one was a Narrative essay and the other was an Analytical essay but they were about topics you wanted to write about. Not very much work at all just have to do discussions about different stories, everyone can receive an EASY A!! Very caring and understanding

PROFESSOR LINDA BURGESS IS ONE OF THE BEST! I took her during the summer and her work is super easy and simple. Easy discussion questions and essays, and you are given 2 chances to retake her quizzes. She also responds to emails quickly if you have any questions. If you want an A, I highly recommend you take her class! you won't regret it!

You will have a lot of fun in this class. All the work is quite interactive and often times can be personal. She responds to questions and emails very fast. Overall, you don't need to keep looking. This class is super easy, fun, and you grow as a writer at the same time. Work consists of mostly essays. Some quizzes but not much.

She truly wants to help better your writing skills and loves to talk during her lectures. To me, this class felt like a relaxing one. TAKE HER!!!!!!!

Haven't taken her yet, but today was the first day of enrollment and her class was almost filled up at 12:20am (opened at 12am). It is now 8am and it has been filled. For reference, all of the other great-rated professors (Decker, Lunday etc) still have a lot of spots open. Super excited to have her as my teacher next semester, and for good reason.

Easy A for a comp class. I took online, several threaded discussions, had to complete over 3 days. 1 research proposal (no actual paper) and one power point presentation. Grades incredibly easy. Participate in her discussions and you will ace this class.

I didn't see the option on here, but I took her for Humanities 1301. She's the single most caring, compassionate, and inspirational professor I have ever had. Super understanding and the assignments are so easy. She won't stress herself out, so therefore you will not be stressed either. Very sweet and lovely to talk to. TAKE HER CLASS!

Class averages/max scores from the major written assignments: 79/98, 85/98, 83/100. She reminds people to get their work done. Instructions are clear. Use Grammarly to fix things before you submit them for grading. The course is doable. You'll have to exert a reasonable amount of effort.

You should take her. If you don't make an A, something is wrong with you. Get Grammarly to ensure you don't lose any points from careless mistakes. You need to read the instructions and the assigned readings she provides. Some students obviously didn't. It doesn't take much effort to do the actual work yourself and earn a good grade.

She is the best professor in HCC! She makes class enjoyable and easy A somehow! Her assignments are not many essays ( except Research Proposal and Sentence Outline). The final exam is a PowerPoint presentation! She also gives her treats/snacks to all students before the semester ends, which is the sweetest professor I ever seen!

I think everyone should take her. She is an amazing professor. I took her for Eng. 1301 and 1302. She is very clear about all assignment. She willing to answer any questions and help with any work. Her class is fairly simple and very easy to follow with not a lot assignment. She is an extremely kind and speaks to her students with respect.

The majority of the assignments are discussion posts, but there are a few quizzes and a research paper. She did not require a final draft for the research paper, though, we only had to create a detailed proposal/outline and a full annotated bibliography. She gives good feedback on assignments and grades well as long as you put in effort.

I loved this teacher. She was so friendly and down to earth. She can be an easy A if you just do all of your work. We had a couple essays and a couple writing assignments, very manageable workload. Our final was a PowerPoint presentation.

Honestly my favorite professor thus far. I would recommend getting her for 1301 and 1302. I took her for my summer class and she made it less stressful than it should've been. She was very helpful and encouraging. She values the students mental health and acknowledges that we have other classes. Lover her, take her !!

We had one potential group or solo PowerPoint project, and she gave us snacks on presentation day. She gives clear feedback of what you did wrong. I never needed an extension, but she is very lenient with due dates.

She will give you final oral speech for final exam so easy get over 90/100. However, final draft or sentence ouline, she gave a little bit of tough, she is so nice. Just following her instruction. Take her right now.

Best professor for ENGL 1302, take her class!!! This is the easiest class ever and the teacher is funny. Not a lot of homework and most work is done in a group in which you get to choose and it is super easy.

Very nice prof. Not exactly online anytime, modules opened as time passed. Several miscellaneous posts, 6 discussions (requiring posting on subsequent days). No actual research paper or essays, just a research proposal and annotated bibliography that were easy. One quiz. Final was a powerpoint presentation that was super easy. Didn't learn much.

Her class is pretty easy, 1 analytical essay, 3 professional writings (resume/cover letter/letter of purpose), and some quizzes and discussions. She VERY RARELY responds to emails or messages though. Take her if you want an easy A! :3
