By far, one of the best teachers I've ever had. Very helpful and always willing to give you extra points. The class definitely helps those who wants to excel in writing.

dr. cullum is by far my favorite professor here so far. even though it was an honors course, it was not difficult and not too much work. wrote 4 short papers and a long research paper, but had a month to do it and she helps you through all the steps. the sweetest woman you will ever meet!

she is the nicest person. very understanding and kind and laid back. she is intelligent, but i was in her honors section, and basically we did nothing the whole semester. i don't remember actually learning anything. all we did were some small essays and a big research paper. she accepted revisions for all the small essays to heighten grade.no tests

She is absolutely amazing! My favorite professor this semester. This class is great even if writing isn't your thing. She always lets you revise your papers for a better grade. She is caring and understanding to ALL of her students. I def. suggest taking Honors Comp instead of reg. comp.

Dr Cullum is an amazing prof and person- She's willing to do anything to help you succeed. She allows you to revise every paper for a better grade. She collects all homework she assigns. No worries though, it's only a completion grade, and is only 20% of your final grade! NO TESTS; only essays, a midterm and final. TAKE DR CULLUM IF YOU CAN! :)

She allow you to make-up work and turn in work again for a higher grade. I love her as a professor. The thing was she got ill near the end of the year. But she is coming back to KU

She is soo sweet, and tells you that she is willing to work with anyone, and that if you try there is no way you can fail! My class had three essays two of which you could edit to get a better grade. other wise the class is mostly participation, and attendance. Final is a small in class essay, no tests!

Dr. Cullum is a fantastic professor. She grades semi-hard, but gives you ample opportunity to revise and resubmit, with the higher grade as the one in the book. She has a research paper due at the end but lets you chose your topic and builds you up to it, so writing's a breeze. Always available for a talk, a great, helpful, funny professor!

this class was a breeze to me because writing papers is easy.. but she does grade fairly to all so if your paper has a lot of errors be ready to get at least a C-. her papers are barely college level topics to write about so it's not that hard to write one well. i know if you need help with certain things she will try to help you. she's nice too.

This woman is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. Helps you with anything and lets you revise papers for a better grade. If you meet her half way she will be more than willing to help. I loved listening to her stories from other colleges she taught at. You start every class with a journal entry and she will give you the topic. Very fun.

She is the nicest, most understanding professor's you will meet. When you hand in an essay, she will correct it and let you redo it for a higher grade. It's truly impossible to get a bad grade in her class.

Extremely understanding and very helpful. Throughout high school it was rare that I every got higher than a C on a paper, but in her class, you'll never get anything lower than a C. I ended up with an A+ in her class. The paper topics are actually a lot of fun and enjoyable and she lets you revise a paper after she gives it back for a higher grade.

Dr. Cullum has been my favorite professor at KU so far. There's only 4 papers and she grades them beyond fairly. She also lets you revise each one to receive a higher grade. She is extremely knowledgeable, she is extremely kind, and she uses both of those things to make every single class something to look forward to, no matter what your major is. She also founded the K-town Writing Center and for good reason, she's very smart about everything she talks about, she's very understanding if you're having issues, and most importantly she makes sure to give you as much feedback as she can to make your work better. Dr. Cullum is one of my all-time favorite professors. She's incredibly helpful and gives great feedback on your essays. She even lets you rewrite them to get a better grade. The prompts were easy to write for and she made the atmosphere of class enjoyable. I would definitely take another one of her classes.

Dr. Cullum is an amazing human being. I had her for Eng 23 and 145 and absolutely loved her! Although the books for Fairy Tales seem mandatory, you can find all of the stories online. Class consists of a 6 page research paper, midterm, and final. Although the class seems easy, you do need to do all the readings to maintain an A. HIGHLY recommend!!
