She expects a certain level of work from her students, but she works very hard to make sure that all students understand the material and learn something from it.
This woman rocks! She is kind, interesting and knows her stuff. I have often thought about taking another English class from her, even though I don't need it. I would advise anyone looking to improve their writing skills to take her class. Love ya Mrs. Daigle!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this class. The reading assignments have given me the opportunity to discover how much I like short stories. Thanks for a great semester.
VERY interesting class, sweetest teacher ever. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. You will not regret taking this class. I took it online and got an A. You have a week after assignments are due to turn them in with no penalty.Daigle is amazing, and she really has a way of making this class fun! Thanks for a great semester.I may also take another class with her:)
good class
I appriciated that she was resonable in grading. She gives instruction without slashing your grade. Often she allows you to revise and resubmit which proves she is dedicated to teaching the technique and not condemming GPA's.
Women in Literature. Very sweet teacher. Lets you do revisions on your papers. Requires lots of reading/writing but that's literature for you. I highly recommend her if you want an excellent and fair teacher. I was away most of the summer traveling and got an "A" for the semester. You also get an extra week to turn papers in. Take her!
Women in Literature-Internet. Excellent, fair, helpful instructor. There is a steady requirement of work-reading, writing (incl. research paper), and class participation. However, she allows essay revisions. The class is very straightforward-best grades for on-time quality work. Stay on course and follow directions for "A". Recommend to take dur

she is very difficult, her grading is very hard
I don't know what the last person is talking about, trust me I'm some what of a slacker but I enjoyed this class. There is alot of writing but if you actually read the literature which is 9 times out of 10 interesting it's a peice of cake. She grades super easy, I'm not a good writer and I never got less than a B. You can even rewrite essays.
This is one teacher that I enjoyed. All you have to do is read the assignments and write essays. I agree with the last person, I never got below a B - you just have to do your work.
What? This lady is not what yall make her out to be. All though I made an A in her class, I found her to be vague, very biased (let her own personal views interfere in the writings), and occasionally unhelpful. Also, a lot of people dropped the class, but I think it was bcos they were lazy. I do recommend this class, but not wholeheartedly.
I liked this class alot I took it online and I don't write papers very well but I came out with a B. It is alot of reading but if you just write about what you really think the story means to you, you will do fine!
i like this teacher soo much. she is awesome and very helpful. i took this class online- this summer- there was a lot of reading, but nothing bad at all (longest one was 8 pages). if you want a great teach who is very helpful then take this teacher, you will do great!
I took Composition 2 and Ame. Lit. since Civil War with this instructor. Please be assured that she is not biased at all. In fact, she is one of the most open-minded instructors I've had. More importantly, she is extremely supportive of her students. I'm new here in America; and I think that without her support, I could have not made it through the
I took her women's literature class. I found her to be vague and demanding all at once. The syllabus didn't include the assignments and due dates. You can't set aside time to complete assignments. Another issue is rewrites. If an assignment did not meet her critera, that is not outlined in the syllabus, she would sent it back. DON'T TAKE HER!!!
I loved Mrs. Daigle's class. As long as you do your assignments you will pass her class. I think she is fair, she even gives you the opportunity to make up your work and will help you if you fall behind. TAKE HER!!!
Ms. Daigle is such a great professor. I took her Women's Literature class last semester and enjoyed it so much I decided to take American Lit. Since the Civil War this semester. I would definitely recommend her - extremely helpful and nice. She also gives a grace period and will help you rewrite in order to improve your grade.
I took online class. It seems that if you want to make a B in this class you don't have to work hard at all, but since I wanted A I had to work really hard all summer long! Take Ms. Diagle if you are ok with B
Awesome instructor, extremely interesting class. I highly recommend this instructor for anything she teaches.
I would recommend this teacher for anything she teaches I will be taking my next two with her. If you do your work you will pass.
Intro to Fiction/Online: Great class to take online and great teacher. A lot of writing involved. Reading responses, just write what you think and the papers you are allowed one revision. Easy A and interesting stories.
Relatively Easy Teacher. she is nice helpful. if Like Literature you will love this class a lot of reading. too much POETRY for me i had to get outside help to understand material. Don't get behind or you will never catch up.
Extremely helpful teacher who genuinely cares about the student. It is A LOT of reading and A LOT of writing, but in the end, you've learned A LOT. Got an A. Excellent teacher.
This woman is amazing! Not only does she know her stuff, but she wants to help you gain a better understanding of what you are learning! There is alot of writing required-all freestyle, except the major papers (2-3 per sem). The reading selections are awesome for both men and women & she is very gracious when it comes to turning in late work!
Took Intro to Fic online. Very understanding and works with students to ensure understanding and passing course. I would highly recommend this instructor.
Awsome teacher. Wants u 2 pass & understand material. She gives chances 2 make better grade on ur essays. Tells u pretty much what she wants in the essays. Lots of work something is do every week but it is easy. Keep up with assignments. Do NOT FALL behind more work 4 u. Answers questions immediaytly. I got an A and I am horrible @ Litrature.
Mrs. Daigle is a wonderful instrutor. She is stright forward about the assignment. The only thing about her. She will keep returning essay back for revision. She is very particular about her essays. Best thing to do is don't get behind on her assignment. Overall I made a b in her class. She very easy going with late assignment. But she cool.
A teacher everyone should definitely take. I slacked of, but I got a B. She is very patient with her students. But don't slack of that much. Go to class and pass papers (she gives them back anyways for revision).
she is great professor. Very helpful. She gives students many chances to rewrite the essays until having a good grade. high recommended.
I love Mrs . dailge! She's awesome, she cares about what she does and she's so passionate. Shes very helpful she gives you lots of chances. Shes always there for anything you need too. She's witty, funny and you're a fool if you pass her up.
You type A lot, but all in all take her class its an easy A
Mrs. Daigle is a fantastic teacher. She is very witty and helpful. I always had my papers turned in on time and even after she returned the paper to be graded and I had corrected it, she still lets other students turn in the papers late. She is a great teacher, I wish I had to take another English class for my core! Skip Schweitzer and take Daigle!
She is easy and i got a D and was shocked I really think she didnt like me. Because I attended class and turned in all my work
The professor is a wonderful lady who really knows her stuff. I learned alot and made an A easily. You just have to be willing to rewrite your papers over and over. It was a fun class, good discussion.
If you want to improve your writing, she is definitely helpful. Knows what she's doing and loves it. I'm taking her again for ENGL 1302! to get a good grade, all you have to do is try and show that you want to get better
I took this class online this summer and Ms. Daigle is an AWESOME teacher. This literature class requires a lot of reading and writing and if you want to pass I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this teacher.
I TOOK HER ONLINE THIS SUMMER, SHE COMMUNICATES VERY WELL WITH YOU, AND GIVES YOU CHANCES TO REDO YOUR PAPER FOR A BETTER GRADE, LOTS,AND LOTS,AND LOTS OF READING, I COULD HAVE MADE A "B", BUT GOT BOMB OUT TAKING 3 CLASSES AND ALL THAT READING,IF U TAKE HER MAKE SURE YOU DO EXACTLY WHAT SHE'S ASKING FOR AND YOU CAN'T GO WRONG.
Good. I'm an English major so I didn't find it way out there. A lot of reading but it is an literature class and that is kind the point. I thought for a Sophomore English class the papers were really easy and she graded pretty leniently. I enjoyed most of the material she selected and had some choice selections of my own which was nice.
Professor Daigle put my fears to rest the first week of class. This class requires a lot of reading but the stories are short and very interesting and intertaining. If you're afraid of writing papers but have a literature class to fulfill, I highly recommend Professor Daigle. She is clear about her assignments and returns papers for revisions.GREAT
I took an online class, and she is very helpful. We were assigned to read 3-4 short fiction stories and write an analysis, very easy it was due every Monday. I got a B, you have to complete every assignment if you want a good grade. I would recommend her summer online class.
I took Ms. Daigle online this summer and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing to fill a Literature credit. Not only was the class well organized, with all expectations of the student given up front, but it was very interesting. Ms. Daigle is also very prompt in her response if you have any questions.....Great Prof!!
I took Professor Daigle's class this summer to complete a Humanities requirement. I am not one that is interested in literature, but she not only made the class enjoyable but settled my fears of getting a good grade in the class. Be prepared to read every few days and write papers every week. Overall, do the work, be on time and you will get a g
prof is very one dimensional, only gives a good grade if your interpretation is exactly the same as hers! Apparently there are not two ways to skin a cat! The essay that I happened to agree with her on I got a 95, another one I simply had a different way of looking at a particular topic and got a 75.
I took her online this past semester and I got an A. It was a ton of reading and interpreting on paper what you thought about it. There was a lot of poetry and short stories. We read the book Jane Eyre, which is really long but it was such a good book!!
online chats, responses to short essays, 4 essays(due at end semester), 2 inclass essays,.. so as long as you keep up n r slightly independent youll def. get a B (AT LEAST) she is nice as long as your not slacking off..shes not strict but dont try to take advantage of that much itll effect how helpful she is..i got an A n I liked the way she taught
Took Ms. Daigle's class online, and it was alot of reading. Interpretation of readings in your own words. I enjoyed this class. Walked out with an A! She is very helpful when you ask for help. If you need the help, ASK FOR IT! She will help you.
be prepared to do lots of reading and writing of papers, but if you do the work assigned, you'll get a good grade. she is very prompt in responding and very helpful.
She is a very good professor. As long you do your work on time an easy A. She gives enough handout's for practice and all her essays are take home. She gives time to work on her essays. The final topic will not be told before the exam but it will based on essays practiced in the class before.I strongly reccomend her.she teaches at central camous
This class was ok. Be ready to do tons of reading and writing come up with your own thoughts or you will be penalized. It's a lot of work but if you do it and put some effort in it then you will at least make a B. Ask questions she likes feedback.
Online class - Amer. Literature since Civil War. Entire semester is about analyzing or relating writing styles with the time periods. She gives u a list of 15-20 authors to choose form and a min. of 4 dif. authors per assign. LOTS of reading & writing, Great Teacher.
Took class online. She is very quick to respond and gives good (but all negative) feedback on papers. Nine weekly reading assignments plus a research, midterm, and final paper. Must do work weekly. Difficult to get an A in this class...should be an easy B. Probably put in 75+ hours reading and writing papers.
eassy class. always helpful. some of the writings were ok.. lots of reading but still i think she a great teacher
Like the other reviews, tons of reading but which Eng class doesn't have tons of reading. She is very helpful, responds to emails quickly even on weekends. Weekly assignments but she gives a grace period. Online class and easy grader. Most of the responses are your personal interaction with the reading so it was pretty easy.
Wonderful wonderful teacher. Lots of reading and responding to what you read. Took her online and she was so helpful and always willing to work with you and help you do well. Be sure to actually read Jane Eyre. It's a long book but it is a wonderful book and it will ensure you do well on the essay. Loved this class so much! Professor Daigle <3
Profesoor Daigle is a great instructor! I took her ten week DE course, tons of reading and analyzing but well worth it. She responds to messages quicker than most professors I've had previously. I traveled most of the summer and still managed to have an interest on the assignments. If anyone needs an English credit take one of her classes.
i'm a international student and having hard time with my grammars on all papers I wrote, but if you put effort on doing work, Mrs. Linda will pass you. I turn late on few papers and she still passing me for putting an effort. it does have a lot of journal entry in this class, but it's easy to do. Best teacher I have so far.
gREAT TEACHER, I TOOK HER FOR ENG 1301, 1302 AND 2342. VERY CLEAR, VERY HELPFUL, AS LONG AS U COME TO CLASS, DO ALL YOUR WORK YOU WILL PASS THE CLASS, SHE IS VERY FAIR. IF U DONT BUY THE BOOK COOL JUST BE PREPARED TO BE IN THE LIBRARY ALOT BCUZ U WILL NEED TO MAKE ALOT OF COPIES
SHE WAS AWESOME. a great class, and it was easy. I have always been pretty decent in English, so this class was a walk in the park. She is very helpful and awesome. take her.
Professor Daigle class isnt hard. Just dont expect to get a A. She said its not easy to make a A in her class so that means no matter how hard you try or how long the paper is, you wont get a A.
A lot of reading but that is to be expected. After all this is Literature. She does allow grace time for turning in the assignment; all but the final which is reasonable considering the work load and amount of essays and midterm projects. If you do all of her assignments and show sincere interest you will do well.
This class is a LOT of work! From 3 to 7 weekly readings (short stories/poems) and discussions; 1 midterm, 1 final, 1 research project. Grades fairly. Class is very well organized, instructions are clear. Replies promptly to emails. I recommend her but you?ll have to put effort in her class.
A lot of work, a lot of readings every week. Make sure you have time in order to take this class. She is helpful but rude & sarcastic most of the time. She says you can ask her questions but then acts like your stupid fo asking. She responds to emails quickly. Reading responses every week which is 5-6 stories, 1 midterm, 1 research paper & 1 final
i took the class during the summer. she was nice to me she even gave me some extra time as i had a family emergency during the semester so she is very helpfull and ties to work with you i would take her again if i could. she also used very interesting stories so i was fun to take online. i got over a humanities credit
This is an awesome professor! I have taken her for both 1301 & 1302. She is very helpful with writing assignments & if you are stuck on your papers, she will give you the advise that you need in order to succeed. There is a lot of work but she will accept your late paper & you will learn in her class if you have the desire to do so. I got2 A's!
She is not nice with international students. She doesn't like them at all. I felt bad in her class. I worked hard but she gave a C.
I absolutely LOVE this professor! She is really interested in her students doing well in her class. She responds to emails, offers to meet with you and encouraged me to do better when I was failing. Thank God! Never had a professor like her. She made my online class experience a great one and I have been taking online classes for over a year now.
Easy A class as long as you do the work. A lot of writing but they are very short essays and discussions. Very light reading. She accepts late work and is pretty helpful. Class sessions feel like a waste of time, usually talk about things you would talk about in High School..Not very stimulating. Learned very little.
I do not recommend taking this hard cource online with this instructor. All of my grades are A except this course, its hard!!!!! lots of work to do...
I really enjoyed this class. Professor Daigle was always very helpful and responded to emails quickly. She provided excellent feedback on weekly exercises and the major papers that comprised the workload of the course. I fell ill during the course, and she worked with me, which meant a lot. I'd highly recommend her as a professor.
I love Ms.Daigle, she is a very lenient teacher and I highly recommend you take her classes. I work 2 jobs, 6 days a week and the only reason I could've done better was if I took more time to do homework but she was very quick to respond to emails and even allowed me to revise my papers for a better grade. She's so sweet and again take her classes!
Dr. Linda is the best.. she is very easy, taking care of her students. I highly recommend her
Professor Daigle is a really great professor. Every week there was a reading response due and unfortunately for me, it was just a lot of work. She is pretty lenient though. Assignments can be turned in late but not too late and of course, i think it's 10 points every day or week or something like that
Ms. Daigle is a good professor. My only problem with her course was the long instructions she would give on each assignment. In many occasions I was lost and confused. She's very helpful and a fair grader. If you like reading in excess take this course, be ready to understand literature from England poets/writers and to write 1,000+ each week.
Professor Linda Daigle is one of the best professors HCC has she is helpful and clear on the assignments, gives extra time to finish essays and gives you good feedback, I recommend 100%
Instructions for major assignments are not presented clearly. Her course objectives are not followed in relation to the syllabus; class did have turbulence in the beginning. Students in class seem to have trouble with the grading system. Would not take again.
I'm a straight A student and this class caused my GPA to drop 3 points!!!!! I do not recommend this class! It will hurt your grade even if you try! Her instructions are too long, unnecessary, and very confusing. I feel bad because I was truly looking forward in taking this online course just to realize it was a waste of my money and time..
I would not recommend taking her class. The class consists of 4 weekly readings and 3 papers. The responses are long and require extensive reading. Her comments are usually useless and only pertain to citations. She responds to emails quickly but doesn't answer the question you ask. Tough Grader. Instructions for assignments are not clear.
I took this class in the summer 8 week session. The class is straight forward there is a reading due every week which is not hard at all, research paper, and final paper. In total there is around 10-12 assignments total. She gives you extra time if you need it, shes a great professor. I would recommend taking her.
Daigle's class is fairly easy if you keep up with your readings and are sure to do all of your assignments by the time they are due. I enjoyed having her feedback on all of my discussion board posts b/c it really helps to see where you're at in class and if you're on the right track. Definitely recommend, even if you aren't an english major!
She is the best English professor ever! Easy class,as long you do all discussions and you do well in your essays you are going to get an easy A.
I an thankful to have had Mrs. Daigle as my professor. She was very helpful and very accessible and caring, three very important things to have in a professor. I put in the work but I made an A. Class was also interesting and sometimes fun :)
THE poems are interesting. She gives too much work per week. If she was my only class, I would have loved it. I averaged about 6 hours a week with reading and homework to still make a C. She wants you to incorporate your own person experiences in the homework and will tell you the interpretation is incorrect.
She is a good professor if you ask her to gave extra time she will. the total was 10 -12 reading response, 1 research paper , midterm essay assignment. Everything was online.
Professor Daigle is wonderful, she is very caring and she is fun. She will help you with the essays and gives you feedback on what to write. She will give you pointers on your essays, and they will be a few group projects.
Professor Daigle is a very tough and specific grader. Do not use outside sources whats so ever on poem analysis. She wants your opinion and YOUR opinion only. She will give you a zero if you dont. However she does let your redo it sometimes and also gives an extension for points off. However instructions are way too lengthy like 4 pages of it.
Pros: Nice, detailed instructions, very understanding of personal life, gives extra time on ALL assignments except the final for full credit, quick grading & response to questions. Cons: Tough grader, does not use rubric for grading, If you're a good writer you can make an A but you'll have to work for it. Not an easy A but you'll learn a lot!
Professor Daigle is a good professor but be prepared for criticism and lots of reading responses. She's a tough grader so make sure to understand the content she gives out. If you do your work on time and turn it in on time you will pass the class.
Professor Daigle is very sweet, she give tons of feedbacks. Most of the work is discussions with like a few papers not too lengthy or hard. She is also very responsive and reply to emails very quickly. Super helpful and would give u the best opportunity to earn a good grade in her class. Definitely recommend!
Professor Daigle is very sweet, she actually read what your write in your discussions. There's 11 discussion posts, about 4 essay with 1 as autobiographical. Lots of reading but overall the class is very doable and she's understanding. I would totally recommend her.
Professor Daigle's class has mixed reviews. While some find her feedback helpful, others struggle with her strict grading and unclear instructions. The workload can be challenging, but using study tools like Unstuck study alongside the textbook can be beneficial.
