This is an easy A!
great intructor , knows what she talking about the class, passtionate about the course and very helpful.
She is exciting and cool. She is really passionate about her subject.
I have to say I took this class a few years ago and I still remember everything she taught. She is a GREAT teacher. Her work isn't hard at all. Take this teacher!
i don't know about during the semester but during the summer there are NO TEST'S the only work you have to do is write a journal
Very interesting class! book is not required, just alot of writing and group work. Grading is very fair so just do the work.
(Summer class) Good teacher, I would consider taking her for another class.
An awesome professor, I recommend anyone interested in taking Sociology to take her class.
Knowlegable! Effective!
While she has a very colorful personality and is very informative on social issues She doesn't actually teach sociology. If you are a political person looking for a book less easy A this is the class for you.
Easy class. Doesn't have any specifics in her syllabus. Teaches all over the place. No exams, just papers were required. You'll watch a lot of videos. Very liberal teacher who takes every opportunity to tell you.
This is an easy class if you show up and turn your papers in on time. You may not agree with everything that she says but if you show up and listen it's an easy A.
Very intersting. Keeps things going. Never misses a beat. If you want a good Sociology teacher...look no further.
Good teaching skills. Easy to understand and communicate with.
extremely helpful, very attentive fun class
I highly recommend her. She really makes you think.
EXCELLENT!!!!

EASY A!! Makes u wanna come back to class, no final, and like 3-4 easy short papers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Easy class. No lectures but lots of videos. There aren't any tests, but there are other things that have to be turned in. As long as you do the work, you'll get and A.
Show up and be willing to do the work, the class is interesting.
great class, opens your eyes to real life situations.
Keeps class interesting, expectations are realistic, thought provoking
She is VEEEEERY Feminist! To the extreme. If she is not talkin about women, she is talkin about men and how they treat women. No test! But alot of busy work. I would highly recommend this class to WOMEN ONLY! I think she got her sociology class confused with her women studies class. Only teaches on things that directly affect her!
I would recommend this professor to anyone. Daily journals are required. Very short film critiques and a presentation are also required. A word to the shy..You may pair up with a partner for the presentation. Great professor. Has a real passion for teaching. I would recommend taking the class in the summer term. Goes by quickly.
Fair expectations for summer class. The student projects were fun and allowed for individual interests. The projects are related to current events. No text, but other resources and a book report are due. I had Soc 101 last year and learned a lot. She shares personal information that aids in understanding. Great Professor.
Professor Foreman is a very helpful teacher. She gives a lot of resource information to help students. There were no tests, so there was only a class journal to complete. Lots of videos pertaining to race, gender, and class. It is a very interesting class, and I learned a lot. Linda Foreman is a great teacher.
I took the summer class. She has realistic expectations! Very experienced and knowledgable. Very caring and helpful. Makes the class interesting. Definitely not boring. A lot of videos and world events viewed and discussed. I was kinda sad when class ended. Her class opens your mind. She makes you think. Makes you a better person. Take her class!
I loved her class! I even signed up a friend for her class this fall semester because I found her class extremely interesting and insightful!
i had her bakc in 03 as a 17 freshmen. she does seem to have issues with men and religion which sque her teaching views, but other than those two she actually is a fine teacher. i enjoyed her class and she really helped me even knowing i was completely different then her on my points of view. she is a nice person as well. take her.
i didnt learn much from this class, but it was definitely an easy 'a'. our only homework was to print out proof that we went on certain websites and then a group project at the end. I dreaded going towards the end of the semester because it was pointless, but what the heck i got an a.
I recommend everyone this class. I currently have an A. There are no exams, just papers that you have to write and turn in. Also, we had to keep a journal of daily tasks she assigned. In addition, there is final project and you have to present it infront of the class. That is probably the most difficult assigment of the semester. Take her.
This was my favorite class because Ms. Foreman is very articulate and presents intersting topics in class. It is also a very easy A. I highly recommend her. There were 2 easy short papers to turn in. And a presentation of sociology topic that you chose. There was a final exam but as long as you turned it and showed up on that day it was an A.
Foreman was amazing! First my brother took her then my sister then me! She was extremely helpful & non-judgemental I LOVED her she was really helpful & outgoing if I could I would take her again! I think she teaches women studies 113 so I'll prob take her for that. I 110% recommend her if you need to get your sociology credit or an elective
we just started this class and i already love it. she really makes you think. she gives her opinions and loves to hear everyone elses. She shows a lot of small video clips and talks about them. Im sure the rest of the semester is only going to get better.
She was very good at keeping the interest level up. Her method of teaching is interactive and extremely fun. I would definitely recommend her!
She is very passionate about sociology. It was exciting to attend class. She was never bias or defamatory when discussing the issues. She did discuss her personal experiences but she also stated sociological facts and studies. The material discussed exposed me to societal structure and vocabulary which I believe has enhanced my world view.
I took this class to gain some insight on the subject. And, wow!...was I blown away. The instructor was hella easy to relate to while maintaining high stds of professionalism. This subject opened my mind cuz it exposed me to some very real topics that I used to be oblivious to. Professor is a great role model & content can be applied to real life.
I feel that she did avery great job on teaching sociology. She wasn't a very boring instructor which a very good thing. Lots of very important info. Good thing I had her as my instructor cuz if I didn't I wouldn't of been enthused to do the work. Thank you very much. Jay
Interesting and very enjoyable -
Many students' say the class was/is "useless" because it is a lot of information throughout history that you may already know...but I still enjoy the class (easy A.) Foreman is knowledgable, fun and keeps your attention. All you are required of is a daily journal (80% of your grade) and a presentation (20%). Too easy! I highly recommend her...
I took this class over summer, but wish I had taken it in fall so it would have lasted longer. I really enjoyed the subject matter and Linda is great!
GREAT professor. I took her womens study class 8 week course and Socioloy course in the summer 4 weeks. I was very impressed with the diversity of knowledge that she has. She's very exciting, never a boring moment in this class. No test, no final. Vote for Linda Foreman for president!
Easy class, great teacher, class isn't boring - take her.
linda doesnt just pop in movies and then you leave. you actually learn a lot!!!great teacher. shows she really cares. =]
It seems easy but wheb you really consider the information it can be emotionally triggering. Terminology, book reviews, final presentations are all required. Professor Foreman uses films to make the point and we had to review these too. I took the class in the 8 week session and it was over so quickly and I learned alot.
I truly enjoyed her class & definitely recommended. I took this class in the summer to satisfy Humanities, but I was amazed how much I've learned because of the variety of topics and discussions shared in class. She is very knowledgeable and she knows how to make the class exciting and fun. Everyone shld take this class. Thanks Ms Foreman
I took her for summer. Excellent teacher, class was very fun and interesting. The last power point project was very fun and easy. Learned alot in her class, recommend taking her for summer term!.
Awesome, absolutely awesome! I actually met someone while working who was a former student of hers and he told me how she inspired him. She is funny, witty and helpful. I going to take her again for another class and I would recommend you take her immediately before her classes fill up.
I LOVED this class. Linda is super funny. She prefers we call her Linda. Very easy class we had no homework or assignments until our final project. She makes the class fun as well as making you think. Lets you use your cell phone and understands if you have a personal problem. Great teacher reccomend to anyone.
Definitely an easy class to pass with little to no homework at all. BUT she still gives you GREAT insight on what ever you're learning about. Very helpful and understanding of everything, you just gotta keep your ears opened at all times or you might miss her say an assignment that's due. It's not very often, but it does happen. Great teacher!
I took her for Sociology and Womens Studies and they're identical. She's really easy. There were like 2 or 3 homework assignments the whole semester and they weren't very hard. There aren't any tests. You just have to keep your journal up to speed and do well on the final group project at the end.
Interesting material. Assignments can be confusing. If you are confused about anything, ask! Journal is 75% of grade.
Linda has been by far the best female professor ever! She really makes it easy to understand the concept of sociology, also her teaching method is so interesting. If you want to really listen and believe what she says than everything falls to place. I did my final on what I love and I was able to evolve freely and have a great learning experience
This is an extremely easy class. Linda is a great professor and she really gets you thinking about a lot of things going on in society. I got a B+ in this class, but it was my fault. She is very helpful and approachable. Highly recommended!
SHE IS KINDA BORING, IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A CLASS WHERE ALL YOU DO IS WATCH VIDEOS THIS IS THE CLASS FOR YOU, SHE HAS VERY FEW PROJECTS BUT IF YOU DONT DO GOOD ON THEM EXPECT A C, YOU HAVE TO TAKE NOTES ON EVERYTHING REALLY EVERYTHING SHE SHOWS!! WOULDNT TAKE HER AGAIN
Linda is the best professor I have ever had, I would reccommend her class to everyone. I never liked getting up and doing presentations, but she made me feel comfortable and she did an amazing job at teaching! She is the best!!
She is the best. Very helpful, smart, funny. You can talk to Linda about anything, school or not school related. She will help in any way she can. Take her. Easy A. Her teaching style is different, but very effective. While she does not give quizes or funals, she still makes you learn.
really great teacher. If you want an easy A, TAKE THIS CLASS. she does NOT teach off of powerepoints like other teachers. NO QUIZZES! NO TESTS! barely any homework. she just grades on how well you work with others. and interacting with them. i mean, it IS sociology! mostly group projects, but hey easy A, fun class!!!
I really enjoyed her class she is a very interesting person. Had 4 projects they were easy they are all group projects shes a very easy and fun professor
Okay this is my teacher here , yeah I am biased, but the assignments are only as hard as you want them to be , I chose hard myself, you will get more respect from her if you choose to,also it is your education. old socio books from ebay are used 10c is cheap! I go to visit her several times a week even after sem ended. Take her you'll love it!
Easy class, nice lady, and mostly everything that is said about her class is true. But she is so scatterbrained and disorganized that it makes me want to scream, the lectures are practically the same conversation every other week, and she talks to you as if you just came out from the womb. She also does a notebook check. Felt like middle school.
Great prof! She placed students in groups based off quality of the 1st essay so slackers dont get put in groups w/overachievers. notify a group member if u will be late/absent or serve consequence. Love how she did that cuz its the same in the real world! Learned a lot from the videos. Lectures are interesting & easy to grasp. Best of all no tests.
Was pretty cool, just did like 3-4 powerpoints, no tests, get to meet new people as you will be in groups all the time. Was fun, but her lectures did talk about the same things and kind of got boring. But overall, she was a great professor, she is ALWAYS there when you need her!
Her class is easy as long as you do what you are told. You will have to keep a binder with EVERYTHING you do in class, projects, handouts, notes..Her directions are never clear..you just have to talk to her on your own to know what she wants from projects. Even though her class was easy and leaned a FEW things, i would'nt take her again -___-
Best college professor yet! Incorporates real-life practices into curriculum, lectures on relevant issues, really knows her field. I've taken her for 3 courses and highly recommend her.
Awesome teacher. Uses the concepts in everyday life. Really funny. Nice lady and very helpful.
The class was fun and the subject matter was taught in an involved method. The projects helped me learn the material more in depth and let me hang out with my class mates while working on them. The professor goes out of her way to ensure that the material is understood by everyone and accepts input from everyone.
GREAT TEACHER! Very easy, a lot of group assignments, projects, presentations. Lectures are interesting. She is very helpful, understanding, and extremelu friendly :) TAKE HER CLASS! YOu wont regret it! you'll have fun!
She is the BEST! Really cares about her students and wants to help them in anyway she can with the outside world. She does very interesting lectures about society. Class is very easy amd simple, we just do a few group powerpoints along with the presentation.
uses everyday life examples easy teacher just a lot of assignments.
Foreman is a great teacher, i like her teaching style. She made learning fun! If you take her id wait to purchase a book as she doesnt require the expensive one. Id defintely take her again in the future.
Wonderful, nice helpful teacher and EASY! Just show up to the very easy work and you get an A!
Professor Foreman is a very good socilogy teacher. I love how she shows interesting video at the beginning of class and talks about the "everyday" society. Just make sure you do all your assignments and it'll be an easy A. Also, about 3 group projects/presentation and 1 final exam!
Great professor. When I was unclear about things, I simply asked for her help. She explains everything. All you need to do is come to class, take notes, do the group projects, keep your binder organized. EASY A! fun class, awesome professor :)!
she is awesome and very helpful ! :)
There is a lot of group work and you better know Powerpoint for presentations. There are several presentations and research involved. Some students had difficult with her structure when following the syllabus. She's passionate about helping and teaching her students understand the subject.
Everyone had different textbooks that you didn't need to pay for. An amazing class that makes you actually want to learn what it is that professor foreman is teaching. Highly recommend her.
The thing i hated the most was group projects cuz you had to depend on other people for you grade and she gives a lot of assignments but she has a nice personality and she can be moody sometimes!!!!!!!!
The most spectacular professor I have ever taken. Truly a remarkable and brilliant woman, who is passionate about her subject. She makes learning about sociology interesting, and encourages students to continue learning beyond the classroom. Wonderful class! She's a gem at the College of Southern Nevada. TAKE HER CLASS!
She is helpful. LOTS of group work
Mostly group work which is annoying to me because people aren't reliable. She gives you many chances on your assignments. This class isn't hard at all. She doesn't believe in tests either. She can be kinda rude sometimes though
Shes a really good teacher. I enjoyed taking her sociology class. She does alot of group projects which she believes helps us learn better. She is very fair about assignments and goes out of her way to explain something if you do not understand it. I would highly recommend her.
great teacher but a lot of group projects. She likes to go on long tangents sometimes so it might get a little boring, most of the work is easy, a moderate amount of homework, and a take home final. You will need a book! Although I didn't use mine very often. FREE FOOD EVERYDAY ((: Always be prepared, (notebook+pen out) youll get extra credit
She is a great teaming, applying the topics we learn to life today. I learned so much about issues around me that I look on how to volunteer outside of the class requirements.
She is an amazing person. She teaches a lot & is passionate about her work. Totally group oriented. But hey it's a sociology class... she's super sweet & this class was a breeze.
Professor Linda Foreman is a Great instructor. You really get the grade you deserve. / you get what you put in. Class is not difficult at all, however she is not great on explaining assigments. you really have to keep up on angel because she won't let you know ahead of time that they are due, she'll just expect them. other than that , take it!
She rambles on about everything, can't understand her. Too many group projects, doesn't explain our work so everyone ends up confused. Gets off topic, expects us to do so many outside of school things, read a book in less than a week. Only take her course if all other professors don't seem appealing.
Sweet person, but if you want to learn about Sociology in the traditional way... this is not the course for you. She tends to talk a lot about what is on her mind. Not much reading in the text. Group work is high. Also, she doesn't always clarify for assignments. It was a confusing course, but I think I passed because I showed up.
She was so kind. Lots of group projects.
A lot of group work, chapter presentation, debate, socratic dialogue. There are no tests however there is a final paper. You must participate in class! She tends to put you on the spot when you don't make any comment. She also gets mad when you don't agree with her. Overall it was an ok class.
Passionate and smart. Knows what she's talking about. She provides more resources to help us students than any other professor I've had
Prof. Foreman is an okay teacher. This semester, I have not really understood what we have gone through because all she puts on to teach are youtube videos. And when we aren't watching videos, she tends to talk about workshops or other things OUTSIDE of the subject. She goes off topic easily. Don't choose this professor.
Great teacher, you could really tell she likes to teach. Her laugh is pretty funny, and she's pretty funny herself. Just make sure you do the assignments. You're gonna need a textbook for key concepts. Only thing that sucked was the volunteering hours thing. Main thing, do all assignments and you'll pass.
Wonderful teacher! So understanding, and willing to help. Best teachers I have had hands down. I totally recommend this class , just make sure to do your assignments.
She's Very Very Sweet ! I Love Her !
Easy interesting class, a decent amount of easy work, she is terrible at explaining stuff, you have to keep a journal, and do multiple projects, also 10 hours of community service that included in one of the projects. Very friendly nice lady, gives free food in her classes, its enjoyable!
Professor Linda Foreman is an amazing person. She has such a kind heart, but her class was very confusing at times. She would let you decide on how the h.w was done. She never clarified on how h.w. Her mood of the day depended on what she read here. But over all great person, not so good teacher.
One of the most caring teachers I've ever had. She has a heart of gold and a brain filled to the max with knowledge however.. her class didn't offer me the information I felt was needed for sociology 101.
Professor Foreman is a caring and passionate instructor! She does a great job presenting the material in an informative and objective manner. This class is not only for "women" but to any student who is eager to learn about gender, race, and class. As one of the only males in the summer class,I did not feel despised by my classmates or the professor
She's amazing. She loves what she does. Only catch is you have to do some volunteer work, it's part of your grade. Other than that, the class is pretty interesting.
It was always kind of unclear of what she wanted, but she grades fairly easy
Linda is a great person, and extremely kind soul. If you are truly interested in sociology however, I would recommend not taking her class solely because her class is very unstructured and you don't learn much about sociology as a whole. You will have to try to fail to get a bad grade, but overall it is a great class, just not much learning.
sweetest lady ever. she truly cares about others. i would not take this class if you not like group work. she's a bit confusing but she's always willing to help you. she takes a different approach of teaching. she like's videos and volunteering a lot. this class is great i totally recommend it . DO NOT BUY THE BOOK.
i didn't learn much, it was a confusing class
What you need to know for the final is unclear. assignments are a bit confusing. about 3 group projects. Need 15 hrs of community service. The most time consuming class ever!! She wants a lot of things done for just one assignment. Didn't learn much about SOC only statistics... No need for an expensive book any SOC book will do :)
Ms. foreman is a great teacher. She is really passionate about what she does.
Linda is the best you wont regret knowing her as a person or a professor
Nontraditional teaching structure. Busy work (making resumes, community service hours, mandatory library workshop) and group projects. Homework assignments were unclear. Frustrating, because assignments aren't clear.
Want a professor that truly cares? Take her. An easy class? Take this class. Fun group projects? Take it! Amazing class, amazing teacher, and worth every second. Professor Foreman is one of a kind and she truly cares about her students not to mention but she is the founder of S.H.I.N.E. a program that helps students with computers and free food!!:)
Her class was not what I was expecting. I was expecting it to be the same when my friend took this class over summer two summers ago. He did different assignments then I did. He didn't have to do hard assignments like I did. The lectures were so boring and the assignments were confusing and hard. I'm so happy this class is over.
She was a very nice teacher but her assignments were confusing and hard. Took her summer 4 week class. No tests, but there is a final exam. I recommend you take Sociology in the summer semester if you don't have time to do community service. This teacher is funny.
I loved this teacher! She was great and really does care about her students. We did have group projects but nothing you can't handle. Ask questions and she will answer. When she says to check canvas make sure you do. Gives extra credit, no use for book really
The sweetest professor I have ever had. Expect group projects and doing community service. Her lectures always leave me wondering what I can do to make an impact on the world.
She is nice and an easy grader. However the first assignment is meant to label you and your personality. She is super feminist and she felt that I (as a black woman) should know that I am part of the most suppressed group in society. It was the type of class that you had to shut up and don't speak your opinions in order to get an "A".
None of her lesson plans seemed to be educational. If anything all she does is shove her opinion down your throat. I have no clue what we were learning as I got nothing out of her class. She also has a problem with personal space. When she lectures she gets into the face of whatever poor soul is near her. Would not recommend her class at all!
Her class was great! Every lecture was something different, but interesting. This professor is so kind and helpful. There's group projects, but they aren't too bad. I did learn from them. Her class is easy as well. I would take her class again.
Prof. Foreman is AMAZING! She likes to include videos that go along w/ her lectures to have a better understanding. Two group projects & a final at the end of the semester. She does require 15hrs. of community service. Don't be afraid to ask for help or to explain something over again. Overall it's an easy class & great teacher! Take her if you can
I thought prof Foreman was amazing. I loved her class and was excited to go. She made me think about the world completely different and to think about the issues we all face and how we would make the world a better place. The class isn't hard so if you fail please drop out of school.
This professor is amazing. Expect alot of group projects and be prepared to participate in the community the final is based on service, I am so happy to have choosen this prof. But dont buy or rent a book she will give directions and suggestions on the book used which meant alot because she allowed us to use a less expensive book which helped
You are required to do 15 hours of community service. Assignments are not hard, but if you do not understand them you can always ask and she will explain what you have to do. She tells you what book you can buy the first day of class so wait until then! I would definitely take this class again, since she really cares about her students.
Clearly opinionated but you just have to ignore the fact that she's kind of that sweet kooky teacher. Assignments didn't seem relate to the class but at least were simple. This class is big on group projects which was hard for me being an introvert and the person I paired up with was flaky/lazy. But Ms. Foreman is very knowledgable and passionate.
Group projects and individual projects aren't bad. She is an extremely caring and helpful person and made me care about the world even more . She provides snacks (just put some money in the donation can) and works very hard to make students comfortable. She gives some free time some days for students to work on other classes' assignments.
She was lecture heavy and none of it really had to do with what was in my textbook or what was on our tests. Lots of pointless group projects. She's a passionate teacher and you know she cares, but if I had to take Soc 102, I'd be in trouble.
This class is an easy "A" but if you're looking for a class thats worth your money I would not recommend this teacher. She has half the classes as "Field Days" which basically means class is canceled, and the other half she lectures on random things that have nothing to do w/ quizzes or tests. You're basically on your own to complete assignments.
She's definitely one of my favorite professors so far. She gives very interesting lectures, but she doesn't talk much about the book in class so it's your responsibility to read it for the tests at home. All of her tests have been online.
She definitely cares about her students. Assignments were not easy but not hard either. 6 assignments total with several quizzes online. With the syllabus, you are able to work ahead. My only pet-peeve was that she was too lenient. She extended due dates because half the class was slacking. Come on people, YOU'RE IN COLLEGE!
This was such an easy class and you barely had to do any work. The teacher is very nice and sweet.
Professor Foreman was a good online professor. She always answered my emails when I had questions. This class bored me to death though. I took the online 8 week course. It is probably more interesting in person, but Sociology was just a requirement for me, it's not something that interests me. Easy class, do the work, you'll get an A.
You will not be disappointed, professor foreman is a good teacher and cares about her students. tests and homework assignments are easy, we did have to do volunteer work but it was a piece of cake. She is always their to help if you need it and is easily approachable.
I took her online SOC101 class and loved it! It's pretty easy stuff. She responds to your emails with so much help. She very willing to help you with any questions you have. Although it was an online class and I didnt really get a chance to really meet her, I loved her! Awesome teacher.
Amazing! 4 wk summer course. Answered all my questions and was super helpful. Easy A. Anytime I had a problem she was cooperative and understanding which I really appreciated. Cares a lot! Videos she provided were engaging & enlightening. Assignments easy & informative. 1 quiz, discussion, and assignment every week. Textbook is online and free!
I did the 8wk online course. If you read the chapters you can easily pass the quizzes. There are discussion posts and a word document assignments on topics she provides. The topics are good and easy to write about. She is VERY quick to respond to messages at anytime. I highly recommend her online class.
The textbook is useful and full of information, I suggest cracking it open. I liked a lot of things in it, and this class and instructor overall. The work was doable, she responded quickly, and was pleasant and understanding. I would love to take her again. I did the 8-week online course.
Online SOC101 8-week course, reasonable workload. Textbook reading is needed. Very interesting assignments if you are excited about sociology. This class changed my mind about what to study, found a new love! Easy if you do assignments
She was very sweet and caring, but somethings she said were awkward. It was an easy class. Definitely not stressful! I had her in person my first semester in college and I do not regret it.
Easy class if you put in the time. As long as you follow the assignment descriptions and the rubric, you'll get full credit on everything. The book is a free .pdf. you will have to at least skim read it. Quizzes are easy and right out of the book. I was pushed to learn something in this course, which I enjoy. Also quick feedback on assignments.
Easiest class I've ever taken. Professor Foreman always emailed me back within minutes with detailed answers to my questions. She actually wants to see her students succeed so as long as you do the work on time, put in the effort, and ask questions if you're confused. Plus, the textbook is free online! No reason to NOT take this class.
I took the accelerated class and I got a 99%. This class was very overwhelming at the beginning but once I saw how she graded, I was okay. Do the work and follow the provided rubric, and you'll get an A. 6 discussions. 4 assignments. 5 quizzes.
Professor Linda made class enjoyable. She was thorough, gave good feedback, on time with inputting grades, & everything that she wanted for assignments was made clear. She was extremely understanding when my computer failed me & I was a late on my assignment. She let me turn it in when fixed & didn't take off any points. I'd take her class again!
The instructions on how papers are graded/ what she is looking for isnt always clear. So after using many educated guesses in the direction of my papers/discussions thinking Id get a D or C Id get an A. If you participate and meet the minimum requirements youll pass with an A (I took the 8 week course)
I was overwhelmed at first by the way the modules and assignments were layed out, lots of info! But take it step by step and the class is informative and easy to follow along. Online course, group discussions are apart of your papers. She is very understanding and helpful. I would take her again!
Professor Foreman was a great instructor! I took Soc 101 over a 4 week summer class. It was a lot of work, but only because of the shortened class time. She was respond to emails and gave great feed back on assignments. I would absolutely take her classes again!
I took her 4wk summer course. It was very fast paced but as long as you pay attention to deadlines you'll be fine. Six discussions, four assignments, and four quizzes. Great professor who was very sweet and gave good and fast feedback. Fair grader, I would 100% take her again!!
Possibly worst experience of my college career. Unclear instructions, it's like putting together a puzzle that doesn't have all the pieces. I wasted my money and my mental strength was compromised. Lack of care on instructors part. 10/10 would not recommend.
i take SOC 101 be ready to write a lot but she does not read many assignments. She responds 24/7 is a very good teacher
Very good teacher. She provides enjoyable videos and other information to understand the topics. Has open modules that you can work ahead of and PROVIDES A FREE ONLINE BOOK. I took an 8 week course online and the amount of reading was average, not too heavy. Would take another one of courses again.
Great professor. Assignments were clear and she also provides a rubric so you know exactly what she's looking for when she's grading. Do the discussion participation as well as the assignments and you'll do fine!
linda is a great teacher ! I took her online 8 week soc class. EASIEST class ever I recommend everyone take her class. easy A
Very easy online class. Easy going. Graded very lightly.
I really loved Professor Linda. She is very nice and understanding. Her class is easy to pass if youre taking Soc101. I took her class this spring semester. Her grading criteria is very clear and she gives amazing feedback on each assignment. Read your textbook, and participate in ALL discussions and you will pass!
I took Professor Linda over the 4 week summer break. Due to the 3 credit class, there seemed to be much reading (free book), watching videos, and assignments. It wasn't bad at all. She will respond quickly to questions and she is a fair grader because the rubric is displayed. You will have to provide notes and the videos were interesting.
Professor Linda's class is not hard at all. It was a 4 week class for 3 credits so it seemed like a lot of work. Stay up on the discussions, do the 4 assignments, take 4 quizzes, and take notes on the interesting videos and you'll definitely get an A or B. The book is online and she gives you the link. I enjoyed that you can work ahead. Love it
She's very kind and very understanding. :)
Professor Linda is very caring. I know I have made few mistakes with the citing APA my works but she never deducted points. She gave me perfect scores on everything. When she see you work hard and put time and effort, especially with taking the notes for each road maps, she will give you 100% for your grade and will compliment your hard work.
Took 3 month online course. Because it was 3 months it was so much work. Work was easy just VERY time consuming. She creates what she calls "Module Road Maps" which are videos that helps to understand readings and assignments. At least 4 chapters/2 assignments per week. DO NOT leave for last minute you will regret it! Everything turned in SUN
I really liked this professor and how much she has helped me learn in this course. The assignments were easy to understand and straightforward on what she wanted. One of the best professors I have had and I hope I get the chance to have her again.
I did the 8 wk & enjoyed the assignments, they were interesting & it made you have more of an open mind. We had discussions & had assignments & quizzes. All were very doable and simple, it wasnt too much work where you could not get it done. She provides a book pdf online & its free. As long as you try and put effort in the work she grades easy.
I took her 8-week course from late March to mid-May, and she is by far my favorite teacher. There's only 15 assignments throughout her course, and you can get an A easily just by submitting good work and being on time. Also, she's very empathetic and caring. She checked up on how we're handling COVID-19. No professor is as kind as her.
Took her class in the Summer for four weeks! There is a lot of work as excepted in four weeks! Make sure you follow what she is asking and make sure you keep a word doc of each module you are doing. Weekly discussions, respond to two people, assignment each week, four tests all together. Follow what she has put and you will pass the class no prob!
Professor Foreman was a great professor, she answered back an e-mails I had sent to her. She gets back to you with your grade, I took the summer course and I will admit it was fast paced but, it was very quick and she was glad to help if her students needed any help. Definitely recommend taking her class!
I took the 4 week online summer course. The only tedious thing I found about this class was the note taking on the videos. There were 4 modules but the course basically consists of 6 Discussions, 5 Quizzes, 4 assignments/tasks, and notes. Simple class if you stay on track and put in the effort! The textbook is free online, didnt really use it.
Took her this summer for a 4 week class and I definitely recommend her! You do have to watch lots of videos and take notes but the assignments are easy. No midterm or final exam. If you are looking for a teacher do not hesitate to take her. Easy A!
Professor Linda could be confusing at times, but she was truly one of the sweetest teachers I have had. Her assignments seem hard, but once you complete them you realize it was much easier than it seems. Not much feedback was provided. I honestly recommend taking her over any other teacher for an 8-week course (and maybe even 4).
Absolutely love Professor Linda! Such an amazing and caring professor. Leaves very good feedback on assignments and the assignments she assigned are very creative and actually enjoyable to do. Definitely recommend her for anybody planning on taking Sociology 101.
I had to take this class online due to COVID, which made the experience a little more confusing because I'm sure this is new to the Professor as well. However, Professor Linda answered every single email/question I had (which was A LOT), helped me in every way she could possible, and made it work. Textbook is free in the syllabus!
Easy work, easy grader, nice person, but an insane volume of work for an 8-week SOC 101 online class. Gives vague instructions and you have to watch A LOT of videos. Like, a lot. You'll have 20-30 videos per "road map" module, some are 3-minute movie trailers, others are 1.5 hour lectures and you have to submit notes on all of them.
Prof. Foreman was amazing. The roadmaps can be a bit lengthy and the videos may seem overwhelming. HOWEVER, if you pay attention she tells you which videos need notes and which ones do not. She was very sweet and I highly recommend taking her. If you take the accelerated course, just remember you are doing double the work in a shorter time.
Mrs. Forman is the greatest teacher ever, she is super sweet and a very good grades, the grade I got was my fault. I turned work in late and still got full credit. She is a teacher that wants you to pass and she understands how hard it is right now due to COVID, because I am a in class learner and the online was hard for me. She is wonderful
I took the 8-week course, so it was a lot packed into a shorter time. Class is asynchronous. Split into four sections, each section covers a few chapters of the textbook and comes with hours of YouTube videos, assignments and quizzes at the end. I wish the professor had been more interactive since you basically learn just from the book & YouTube.
I took professor Foreman for a four week class this spring among my other classes. I was taking a total of 17 credits worth of classes and most of them were science and math. You can pass this class easily you just need good time management. You don't need to read the book use the find button instead and do the road maps.
Easy class but A LOT OF VIDEOS to watch. 4 module with about 2 discussion (long) for each discussion. 21 quizzes for each chapter (can search online). Gave you full credits as long as you submit the work. She is caring and pretty kind I think. Fast respondant.
Her class is really easy if you just do the work. She wants you to pass. If you need help just ask. The only thing is sometimes her assingments could be a little confusing but just ask her and she will guide you through them. I would 10/10 recommend her. I took her 8 week class.
Great professor. Very understanding when it comes to late work. Just get it done dont make excuses.
Took the 8 week class online. Easy class with an easy A. Couple quizzes, couple discussions and then 4 main assignments. Only downfall is sometimes her assignments are worded a little weirdly but easy to figure out or ask her and she will explain.
Shes very kind and caring. 10 point quizzes each week (VERY EASY), 6 discussions (VERY EASY), 4 main assignments (EASY). the discussions help break up the work for the last final assignment. No tests or final. Book is free, she gives you the link in the modules. Just take her 8 week course or 4 week maybe. I took the 8 week, a great class.
Overall she was a great professor. The only downside was that some of her assignments were worded weirdly so it made the assignments a little confusing to understand. There was not a lot of work for a 8 week class. There were a couple of quizzes as well as mini projects that were easily completed.
She is amazing. I took her for SOC. It's a little work, but it's all worth it; it isn't that hard.
There are 6 discussions, 4 assignments, and 21 quizzes that were not hard at all. All the discussions and assignments lead to the final assignment. The textbook is free. Assignments are not locked, so you can go at your own pace as long as you meet the due dates. Grades slowly, but emails back quickly and give good feedback. Would take 100% again.
Prof. Foreman's class great option SOC101 is easy to work simple instructions book that is free it's a PDF. Just turn in the work and get a graded pass of A. Do the discussions pick a subject in today's society turn in a simple slide show and get an A.
Now this is my girl right here! She was so incredibly understanding to my needs. Answered every single email within minutes, she never ever made me feel like I was bothering her.A very easy grader as long as you do the work the way she asks you'll probably get 100%. Provides a lot of resources. Lots of notes but hit the key points. Easy tests!
I took the 8 week class. This class was easy, not overwhelming at all, and I got good grades on the assignments. Read a chapter a week. The readings were interesting and the test questions were from the readings. There was not any confusing questions. Everything is straight forward and it is a positive learning environment.
Definitely was an interesting class to take! She was very caring and her class lectures were awesome! She made others interact with one another and I met some awesome people! I took her 8-week course and there were easy chapter quizzes, 6 discussions, and 4 major assignments. Her assignments are worded differently but she responds to her email fast
Absolutely amazing professor, she listens and cares about your growth and goals. TAKE HER
I took this class online for 8 weeks and it was sooo easy!! Just stay on top of your home works and quizzes then you'll get an A!
Professor Foreman was an absent teacher. The last two assignments were due and she gave no information on what was expected and when several students asked in the FAQs that she needed to clarify, or even other students, there was no response. So frustrating for an 8 week course that was told to drive across town to ask questions.
I took the SOC101 8-week course online. I thought it would be okay given all of the good reviews here, but it was insane! The quizzes were fine, but the directions for assignments were vague at best. She doesn't give any constructive feedback, nor does she answer the FAQs board in a timely manner (if at all!). I didn't learn anything in this class.
It was a lot of work and the assignments were very confusing at times. The only reason I gave her a "Great" rating was because you can tell she is very passionate about sociology and the work she has done. She can get off topic during lectures, but overall she is a very interesting person. Just stay on top of your work!
Professor Foreman is a great teacher! Some of the work may be a bit challenging at times if you haven't completely grasped the concept, but she's a fair grader and if she sees that you put a lot of thought into your work there's no way you can fail! The textbook is also free online!
I took her eight-week course and it was okay. Weekly discussion posts and 5-10 chapter assignments. You then have 100 point module assignments which is the most time consuming part. Instructions are really unclear sometimes. Class was interesting for the most part but it did seem like an English class near the last week.
Easy class, okay professor. Chapter quizzes were easy but u only get 1 attempt. No midterm/final & extra cred. Her assignments are poorly worded & consist of random things, which was annoying but they were easily graded. Emails fast but doesn't answer all of ur questions. She also disabled the grades, u won't know ur grade until it's put on mycsn.
Professor Linda is a kind and caring person. Her assignments are a little confusing with her words but email her or meet her in person she definitely will be able to help you out. As long as you do everything on time it will be EASY A. Great professor so far!!
I took her in Fall 2022, but her assignments were worded weirdly however I still got an A on them not really knowing what she was saying, and her in-person classes are fun and interesting. Pick her if you want an easy A.
I took the 4 week course, so there was a lot of work to do. However, this class was easy to pass if you do your work. The book is free which is a plus. Read the book, because she does want you to use words from the book to provide feedback to other students. Quizzes are easy. The papers are easy and if it isn't, she is available to help you.
I took Professor Foreman as an eight week course and although the assignments were hard, they truly better your learning. She was an amazing teacher and made sure to teach her students the best way and gave plenty of resources. 100% would take her again.
Professor Foreman's SOC101 class is straightforward if you put in the work. The assignments can be confusing, but she's willing to help. Using unstuck study and the free textbook makes it an easy A.
As long as you are on time with quizzes and assignments she is a great grader. Her feedback was always very kind as well
This was my first eight week course and it was such an easy A. There is a textbook but it's completely free online; quizzes on every chapter. There are writing assignments but instructions were very clear. As long as you do it on time and follow the rubric you'll pass.
Class was a little confusing on the assignments but she was really open to answering questions. She was also kind enough to give an extension when I was sick. All assignments are easy to understand and easy to complete and the tests are just as easy.
textbook is free. assignments aren't so confusing if you actually read the prompt, and if you are still confused, she's happy to help out with questions. extremely easy class and definitely helped provide a good foundation for academia : )
Professor Foreman was AMAZING. Read the course pathway, like actually read it. A lot of the information needed for the projects are in it. Discussion posts were lengthy but easy. Each project has different parts to it, don't rush through each part every part matters. She's an amazing grader and always gives great feedback. TAKE THE CLASS!!
Make sure you go to class, lots of information for assignments is given during the lecture, and all quizzes are online in Canvas. She is very understanding a lenient when it comes to the format of the assignments. Overall, great class.
Easy A but I did not enjoy going to this class. It was long and boring and a little disorganized. She was very nice and sort of reorganized her class half way through
Really sweet professor, answered my emails quickly. Although there are tons of quizzes, she makes the discussions very intriguing and fun.
This is one of the weirdest classes I've ever taken. Her assignments are so long and the requirements are wild. She is not accessible outside of class I wrote her several times she never wrote me back. There are lots of quizzes 4 assignments 4 discussions. She grades things wrong and fixes them last minute. dont take this and I got an A+ so...
