Excelent teacher
Very helpful and nice person
She's well prepared & organized. She knows all of the information! Tough Marker

She's fair!

Awesome. She can answer any question you have!
Readings. She gives exam questions a week before.
The best teacher i've ever had!!!! so helpful, will always be there for u. She is just awsome!!! If all teachers were like that college would be so easy!!
the nice and sweetest person someone can meet!! she's always avaliable for help and to answer questions!! highly recommended!!!
Not very happy with my mark; i deserve a better one. Nevertheless, she is a great instructor and i totally recomend her to anyone.
Linda is one of the most inspiring teachers I have met. She is demanding but fair and kind and easy to listen to.
She's a great teacher!! I've had two classes with her, both were awesome.
great teacher
I have since gone on to get a major in history at university. She inspired my interest in the subject.
good teacher- extremely helpful, knows her material, readings are long and boring, fridays are group discussions-overall good, but not as easy as grossman
Great Prof. Very passionate about history. Very nice as well.
Really nice & helpful! Has a good sense of humour. A really nice prof, which is rare! I recommend her highly though if she teaches other areas. Even u get to bring in a note card for her midterm! And an extension for an essay if u need it! Crazy stuff!
Linda is so sweet. She lectures the whole class, and often brings a very subtle, yet funny sense of humour. Mid terms and finals are easy b/c she gives you the exam question a week before the exam! Fair marker also.
Makes Canadian History more fun than it should be. Easy marker, except I got crappy on my essay and i felt i deserved better, but everything else i felt i deserved worse. If you are taking Canadian History take Hale.
linda is awsome! she has very suttle jokes and always has a small smile. i love her jar cup for her tea! going to class is like going to talk to your grandma in a way. she can get sidetracked. tells questions on exam before it, and use cheat sheet for it.
one word..EASY!! take her!!
She's a nice teacher, but I don't think she likes my writing style so I ended up with a C average in her class. Basically, in order to pass you have to keep up with the readings she assigns and always try to do the Q's. All essays assignments.
Linda is awesome! She is nice, clear, easy marker, cares about her class and loves what she does - what more can you ask for??!! She is great and always willing to help with a smile on her face. Take good notes and listen, you can easily get a goo
LOVE HER!! She is just sooo amazing; very understanding and willing to take time to talk to you. One of the best profs at Langara
she's a great prof
linda remains one of the more memorable instructors i had in all my post-secondary life...very fair, and she made things very interesting...inspired me about education
Ms. Hale's great!!!! I've taken 3 courses of her's...she's the best prof i've ever met! always care about students n' always help us out with everything...take her course! she's the best!
very nice and kind lady. She teaches social history and does not focus on names, places and dates. Very interesting class. 2 exams and 2 papers (film analysis+document analysis). Very fair marker.
very very smart women... provided the right direction and support i would need later at UBC. she's a librarian with a wealth of information.
Awesome prof, wonderful lady. I really LOVED her class. She makes canadian history fun and interesting.Take her class, GO to classes, participate and you'll end up with an A+!!
Easy class. I'd definately give her two thumbs up although the texts were a bit boring.

shes nice shes the best teacher take her
Great Prof, Nothing else to say
"The Best"
Linda is such a good teacher, it's REALLY hard not to like her. She is very educated and really knows how to pass her knowledge down to the students, so it's pretty hard not to get a good grade. She's easy 2 talk 2, and very understanding. LOVED HER!! Highly recomended to anyone - she's GREAT!!!!!!!
Realy helpful, wants her students to do well, but when shes presenting her material in class its all over the place and hard to fallow and she tends to mumble at times, which sucks becacuse you can't even make out what shes saying.
Easy marker. She's very clear with the course. However, she talks very fast, so it's hard to take notes.
shes the best!! easy class if you kno what you are doing! one essay...gives you a month to do it. i got an A on it which is the first A i got on ANY essay, and i'm not even good at essays! i will take all her classes IF she will teach the classes that i need!! (i'm going into history)
Extremely nice prof! She cares about you and will offer any help you need. Easy marker as well so it's not hard to get an A if you attend her class regularly and just try your best, she gives marks for ur effort. Hard to take notes during class coz very few overheads and she talks w/o pauses.
Linda is a SUPER nice person and a pretty easy prof. She gives q's before exams ahead of time, so going to her class can be painfully BORING!!
Classes are based on the readings and one project. Hard to keep up with reading for every class with a full schedule. First part of class she gives a lecture. hard to write everything down cause she talks so fast. Project is time consuming and costly. Easy going and friendly. Wealth of knowledge.
She is a great lecturer. Her exams are laid out in advance. Go to class(Duh) and do the readings (duh) and the rest is easy.
Extremely nice prof! She cares about her students deeply and offer any help you need. She is a true teacher who cares about your learning and well being. You can get an A if you try your best and show her your effort. she doesn't compare you with others.I recommend her strongly.Thank you Linda.

Great teacher. Will help you when you need it. she likes it when you participate in class. Her lectures are interesting and she is the sweetest lady.
Linda is the most wonderful, knowledgebl, loving teacher at Langara. She is very educated and know how to teach her students. She's the best mentor. I LOVED HER every and each class she tought!! I highly recomend her to anyone - she's The GREATEST!!!!!!!
She is the most wonderful instructer at Langara. She undersand the students. She is very helpful and kind to her students like a mother she take care of you. She is a very good listener and kind at heart. Take all her courses and you'll enjoy what she is teaching you. I took 4 courses with her and I learned a lot. she is the best.
Linda Hale is a great professor. she goes out of her way to get to know you and she truly cares. i have enjoyed her class a lot and i appreciated her knowledge of the course. i would recommend her over and over again.
Great prof! As long as you put in a decent amount of effort, your bound do get AT LEAST a B or B+! Articulat, fair marker, and very helpful. LOVES students to participate in class discussions... so come prepared!
A total sweetheart. :)
She's very nice. A little too much writing for my taste, but hey, you do actually learn something that way. Oh, I suspect the last two people to comment are in my class. Who are you? hehe
A really nice person. Pay attention in class, she's got a lot to offer - has years of teaching and writing books behind her.
What a wonderful person and amazing prof. She has so much knowledge to share and makes it intersting doing so. Also very understanding, I had a difficult time personally in my last semester and she was so understanding and helpful. She REALLY cares !!!! it is quite refreshing
Awesome teacher. Very knowledgable and very interesting. Very helpful as well. I really liked her.
Her family studies program is awesome, she is an amazing teacher and yes its true she is very kind and sweet. She goes out of her way to help you, i graduate this year with family studies and i would highly recommend taking it! :) Linda you rock!
Linda is the best teacher and mentor! She is easy marker, cares about her class and what she teach - She is the most wonderful person ans as a mature student she always helped me with a smile on her face. Just take her course and listen, you'll learn a lot and can easily get a good grade. Thanks Linda for all your help. PC
Linda Rules!!!!
very nice and understanding professor...lots of little reading assignments sometimes hard to keep up with
i love linda! she's such a great prof. the nicest lady ever, good lectures, interesting course, she prepares you and i love her!
Linda is a great teacher! I enjoyed her discussions and i have nothing but utmost respect for her.
I absolutely love Linda. She is such a nice person and an absolutely great teacher. Her teaching is clear, well prepared, and very informative. A lot of interesting stuff to pick up. She really knows her stuff. Her midterm and final is pretty reasonable. If you study beforehand you would definitely think it's easy. She is very recommended. Take her
Linda Hale is one of my favorite profs. she's very understanding and really cares about all her students. lots of reading but her exams are easy if you attend class.
I really enjoyed Linda's class. She is very knowledgable, fair, friendly, and firm. I like her style. I found her lectures very interesting and informing. She cares about her students and that is plain to see. I like the fact that she mixes up group discussions with her lectures - it makes for a very interesting course - highly engaging.
linda is awesome! she knows her stuff and she is a fair marker. she's also friendly and easy to approach if you have questions/comments about the course!
I've been at Langara for two years. She is one of the best prof i have ever taken. She is sincere, caring, genuine and passionate.1.) She cares about her students 2.)Attendance, take notes and do reading then you can garantee to do well. MS HALE I LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!!
Great teacher..course is primarily based on research of certain block in vancouver, essay and presentation based on collected research. Final exam based on artciles from weekly discussions...overall u can tell she really cares about her students..
Linda is not receptive to differing opinions. She does not want you to express your opinions or interpretations on the subjects she merely wants you to find creative and new ways to express her opinion. There were numerous times she spouted blatantly false propaganda to the class. I got an A by selling out and giving her what she wanted, drivel.
Take Her course rite now rite here period!! LINDA RULES!!
The course I took only had Linda for the first month of class but since her leaving I have become uninterested. She was such a good teacher and she made the curriculum so enjoyable. I miss her!
Linda cares for her students, but she gives grades based on whether you agree with her. I was disappointed with the course, because in total we received 6 weeks instruction, and the rest of the time we had presenters and presentations. I have 9 pages of notes defining 'family'. Don't take this course if it's an elective! More trouble than its worth
Linda is such a sweet teacher. Her lectures are one hour long followed by a small group discussion of a reading and then class discussion. A fair marker. One thing is it's sometimes hard to follow her lectures because she goes through them at a quick pace and you sometimes forget what you were writing to write the next point. Overall awesome!
Extremely nice and very fair does believe in "wrong" answers just focuses on opinios. Marks amazingly nicely, her lectures are a little boring at times but if you pay attention its not bad. very nice and thoughtful
Linda is an amazing professor, she loves to teach and is very helpful , Don't leave Langara without taking Linda !!!
Linda Hale is one of the best teachers in Langara. She is very considerate about her students and understanding about the extent of work in other courses. She extended the deadline for her essay because many students had another essay due within the same time period. I will be definitely taking another course with Linda Hale.
I have taken many courses with Linda, and I would have to agree that she is one of the smartest historians around and also very considerate of her students.
Very knowledgable professor. She walks students through writing a paper very well and prepares them for future classes too. She lectures alot and fast but she wants her students to understand trends and topics as opposed to detail. Very kind and understanding. I highly recommend Linda.
Ms. Hale is super sweet and you can tell she wants everyone to do well if possible. Notes are very dense and presented ONLY in class - no online powerpoints. Weekly or biweekly seminar on textbook readings. Large body of knowledge on Canadian history, brings up interesting little-known topics. Good first year history class.
I've taken 3 courses with Linda because I love her so much. Great teacher, extremely knowledgeable, SO KIND, you can tell she really cares for her students and wants them to succeed. I just can't say enough about her -- wonderful instructor and human being.
Linda is a walking encyclopedia. She is brilliant, helpful, she honestly wants you to do well. I will definitely take classes with her again.
Linda is a wonderful prof. She is very knowlegable, and knows her stuff and really cares about what she is teaching about. Very informative and really learned a lot. Her lectures can be boring, I wished she used more visuals then just talking, only pitfall I find with her.
Linda is very passionate about Canadian affairs and is extremely knowledgeable about the material she teaches. She's a great instructor and cares a lot about her students. If you do all of the readings, take good notes in class, engage with the material covered, you will do fine. She is a fair marker. Don't slack off and do all the question sheets!
Linda truly cares about her students, and uses this course to teach foundations and how to do well in future courses. She wants her students to understand the material, but also think critically about it and form an opinion. Lectures are long without a powerpoint, but mostly outside the textbook. She is full of knowledge.
She is nice and helpful but a really tough marker. Make sure you know how to write a proper essay.
Lectures a set-up as if they were a story, memorization of dates and names are not necessary. She is on time, if you're late to class she understands things happen. Shouldn't miss class too much because midterm and exam is lecture and text book based.
Not sure if people on this website is a prank or not, but this was literally hardest marking class I've ever had the misfortune to be apart of. This was an introduction History course, and the short or long questions on exams, are SO specific that it's mark down to decimals. Essays require 8 sources, presented 11 and was apparently not enough.
Linda was focused and intense. A great story teller. She was patient and fair.
Linda's class was engaging and challenging. She brought the material to life through captivating lectures. Attending class and using the textbook were key, along with tools like Unstuck ai, to succeed.
