Really good, makes you think
Dr. Handleman is very passionate about teaching. She wants you to learn and walk away with a broader point of view. She gives great feedback and a chance to fix mistakes on earlier papers. If you like learning than take her class.
She is very helpful, I have not finished the class yet, but sofar I like it. She is a very nice person.
She's a little weird. But she's definitely a great teacher. Very enthusiastic in class. Recommend to anyone who wants to have fun in class.
Good teacher, a little too strict on homework. She means it when she says class participation and homework counts. You can lose too many points if you miss homework. I feel it is a little too unfair, but a fun class!
Took her in summer school. Almost impossible to keep up with homework. Very opioniated. As long as you write exactly what "she" believes the interpretation to be of the philosopher. Just parrott what she tells you in class - copy it exactly.
I received a good grade from her, worked my butt off to get it. However, she "failed" several people in our class that worked very hard, attended all sessions and handed in all homework. I feel this was very unfair and mean spirited. 2 were E
She is sooo easy & funny. Only 1 term paper & you got the whole semeter to write. NO midterm but a quiz that is open book. On the final, you can bring in up to 1 million note cards to use. Gotta do 1 presentation, but got the whole semester to prep.
she's a very nice teacher, just talk to her if you have any questions regarding your paper n she'll help you a lot. she grades mostly on how much you participate in class, your final essay, n your tests (2), in which are open notes.
She is such a great teacher. Shes very eclectic and she loves any sort of feedback from you. I took a night class from 7-10 but i was never bored or tired, she makes the class really fun and interesting. I would reccomend her to anyone who's new to philo.
Not bad, but does not grade fairly.
At first, this class seemed really hard to me but it gets every interesting later on. This teacher will go to her fullest to help you. However, if you do not like writing, you won't like this class.
SHE WAS AN AWESOME TEACHER WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT HER STUDENTS. SHE GIVES YOU PLENTY OF TIME TO ACCOMPLISH ASSIGNMENTS AND THE MIDTERM & FINAL ARE OPEN NOTE. MAKE SURE TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS IF YOU WANT AN A
If your not the kind to understand philo. then this is a hard class. Basically the hmk. is reading and summurizing the reading. Every class period you have to have a ques. to ask her. if you dont she freaks out. If your late you have to bring cookies.
•Alpha• There's an excessive amount of hw, which unfortunately has a large effect on your grade. She's very picky about what you write too; hella picky. You will be in a relationship with your book, so make time. Final will be on every philosopher.
There's a lot of homework in this class. (logic & argumentaion) The class was very straightforaward. easy to understand. As long as you do your hw.. you can get a good grade.
As long as you wirte exactly what she wants you will be ok. Just write down what she ways in class and make that your argument and you will do ok. I do not think she grades fair - eventhough I got a B.
Had a family emergency that caused me to arrive late. She was soooo mad that I didn't have candy 4 the whole class because according 2 her that is your penalty 4 being late. HELLO! EMERGENCY! The last thing I thought of was snacks 4 my classmates!
There's a lot of writing in this class. The readings are short but VERY confusing. If you participate in class a lot and write your essays on basically what she tells you in class, you'll do fine. Tests (2) are open note. I found the class interesting!
I am an A student but philosophy was just too difficult so I dropped it. The second time around I took Handleman and she is an incredible teacher! She engages the class, clearly presents the arguments and facilitates understanding. Expect lots of reading!
She is very sweet, but her grading and standards are very demanding.
Took over summer.big mistake.HARD AS HELL & doesn't explain.Constant writing & she grades HARD!!Even exceptional writers are in danger of a C grade at the maximum in this class.Asks u to call her at home or school but not much help.
This professor is pretty good, but her grading is rather difficult and makes it hard to get an "A". If you want an easy "A", forget about it. Is a bit cranky and depending on the philosopher acts "like that philosopher, her Nietzs

Very hard lots of homework!!!!!!!!!!!! Great teacher though. Good luck.
Was very hard. She singled me out as a bad kid and everything I did was wrong. If I was 5 minz late she would complain but ppl who came in 5 minz later then me she would smile and be cheeful to. Do not take this psycho teacher!
I hated this class. She forces students to study in "pods" like elementary kids--watch out if you're smart--you'll end up doing all the work for your "pod" The research paper is a JOKE. It was a colossal waste of time I got nothing from
I hated every minute of this class. 1 min your late you have to bring sancks the next class meeting. She never made philosophy easy to understand and definitely never made it fun. Kind of assumed you already knew it. Don't take her or you'll regret it!!!!
She was bias against my friends and claimed I let them copy my work! I got an "A" in her class because all I did was write what she wanted to hear and ask the questions she wanted to hear. I didn't learn anything! Easy "A" if you just
One Word - Psychotic!!
Nothing easy about the class or her methods.Took it over summer & had a paper due daily. If you don't do a B or A on papers, cannot pass the class.I got an A, but had to work my butt off for it whereas usually it comes easy in every class.Very hard class.
Great teacher but her class can be difficult if you don't read the material. She's willing to give you a better grade if you redo the work. She makes you work in groups but I find that helpful. You start workin on your final the first week(Research paper)
Watch out for ger. If you get on her bad side it is over. She has given students that deserved an C grade and gave them an F instead. She does not warn you if you are doing bad in the class. Her grading is very subjective. Watch out!

Much better teacher than the reviews from these slacker asses suggest... you all got to think, people! Peace
NO! Those other people r absolutely right!! Work w/ the people around u as a group but you're not suppose 2 have similar answers!?!? Then u might as well work by yourself. Bring snacks 4 the whole class!?!? Sorry I dont work to feed YOU la
She is quite a cool professor. Fun with a good sense of humour. She will also spend time helping you out if you ask for it. Do the readings and write the response papers and you will do very well. She hates laziness for sure!
very difficult material presented by a teacher who is all about leaving the thinking up to you. i bugged her to death for help and got an A. she loves that. if you have ?'s, ask them, see her with drafts and rewrites. she's cool about helping you alon
This lady is the most psychotic teacher I've ever had. She only wants her students to think the way she does and will punish you if you do not agree. Hated this class!! TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER.
She's a great teacher!! you can redo homework or essays to get a better grade!! The onlee thing hard about this class is that you have to think and she gives you a lot of time to slack off. Only thing that will prevent you from getting an A is Laziness.
The only thing that will prevent you from getting an A is HER!
well, sorry to say but the class is REALLY boring. If you're into politics then maybe you'll like the class. Not hard, just tedious. The book work is really dumb but pretty easy, you can do them in class while she is going over it. Waste of time, easy class if you are a good bser.Tries to be nice
pretty nice person. one 8-10 page paper due at end of semester. other than that not much other hard work.
This teacher is hard to understand. The readings are even harder. For thoes considering this teacher, the readings are in older English and takes time to get through them and understand the philosopher. This class involves some very tedious work. She is the most stessfull of all my teachers.
The reading are cool, but she is a little crazy, she helps you out with the reading if you don't understand, the only problem for me is asking her for help, i just never had time too, but if you have a lot of questions ask her she does love it, and will give you a good grade for it 2
This class is an easy A as long as you work on your project all along. Don't put it off or your screwed! Tests are open note. Prof is very nice and energetic teacher. Only an idiot could fail this class.
This professor goes out of her way to help students in understanding the material. She really cares about he students and about teaching philosophy. Class is fascinating but not easy - make sure you have completed English 1 A and B. Being a good writer is essential in this course. She is fun too!
You are NOT and idiot if u fail this class. This professor is simply mediocre & thats all there is to it. I received an A, but will be honest enough to tell u that I learned NOTHING. Bring snacks to class!?!? WTF! I signed up 4 a phil class not recess. Redundant and horrible.
She just sux! seems as though we have no say w/ our own thoughts. Very Narrow minded. Makes you ask questions, when you don't even understand what you are asking. the work is tedious n stupid. She assigns free write, then critizes it and puts it down by saying "No, your ideas are dumb and wrong"
WOW!!! This teacher is unbelivable. All the negative feedbacks are 200% true. She forces you to ask ques. when you don't even know what the heck your learning. Oh and come late to class!! Watch out-you have to bring snacks for the whole class.I don't work my a-- off to feed others!!
she makes you ask questions on homework assignments even if you don't have any. she is often vague, still won't hesitate to let you know you're not "thinking philosophically" enough. all in all, her class is vague and tedious. an interesting subject has never been so boring.
Just don't take her! She doesn't teach and just expects you to read the chapters and understand everything. Homework sucks and Reaseach Paper sucks even more. SHE's TOO CONFUSING!!

This was the worst professor i have ever had! She is not helpful and insists on questioning everything that exists. I absolutely hated her, if you can avoid taking her for this course, do so accordingly. She had everything riding on your final, so that it would make or break you. Just don't take her
Whoever said that she's anti-Christian is lying. There's tons of obsessed Christians in our class and she treats them with the same respect as anyone else. Philosophy requires you to question everything...even religion: GET OVER IT! The bible says that God is a "He"...that's all she was pointing out
She is a very weired professor. I do not like her teaching style. She makes her students feel as thought they are in highschool. Reason being, everyone has to have a name plate, you can't get up to use the restroom without permission, you can't leave if you have an emergency without running it by her.You are not independent in her class.
she is a nut. simply put. dont take her.
She's great, will never get bore in her class, she's very funny and teaches with lots of enthusiasm. She's very easy at the beginning of the semester but becareful at the end, there is more than 10 pages project due and she grades hard, I had an A, got A's and B's on all my tests, but got a C on the project and end up with a B in the class =(
She is a bit confussing, but very nice. If you find the time or oppurtunity to meet with her you should do alright.
No need to say anything. Every negative rating before this is TRUE!
I love her class, she obviously questions everything because its philosphy thats what the course is about. If you want to know about life or intrested in things of life and exisiting take her class. she isnt boring and she will help you in anything she can.
Read assignments, think it over a bit, write an 1-2 page essay with some THOUGHTS put into it, and take it to class for intelligent discussions. That's the breakdown of the class. The key is to THINK; that makes everything so much easier and enjoyable. She's very helpful as long as you ASK for help!
Very confusing to the max. She's nice but teaching style is an acquired taste.
She is a kook! Can't controll the classroom and her lectures are all over the place. I didn't learn a thing.
This woman is very nice and gives chances. She, on the other hand, is very hard to understand on what she wants. You must call her out individually and THEN you'll know. It seems she's better at one on one explaining opposed to the whole class. Her class is -_-)ZzzZzz BORING to the MAX even though she is enthusiastic about her subject.
extremely helpful but actually makes you think.
she's extemely nice and gives chances, but very unclear on what she wants you to do. You have to ask for alot of help. Of course you'll do well if you pay close attention, but half the time you might find yourself sleeping
Homeowrk is never clear! she is enthusistic, but confusing. Kinda weird. There arent exact answers in Philo, so it is whatever she thinks is right, her class is very disorganized, and you never really have a sense of what is going on, or what you should be learning. Wouldn't reccomend her, too disorganized, no real structure
Dr. Handelman is not for everyone, but she is very committed to her students. She's got some funny and unnecessary rules about cookies (you'll find out) but for the most part, she's really committed to having you learn and think critically about ideas and philosophy. Her philospher citizen seminars are amazing, and she created them.
She is nice and will give you lots of chances to fix your papers. The material is not always easy but it is very interesting if you understand it. basically, if your an idiot dont take her class because you have to think! i respect her highly because she rewards hard work and not laziness. make an effort, ask her about your work, and youll be fine
Great teacher
critical thinking is a must. confusing at times. she's helpful, but still confusing. really nice, fair grader. if you want an easy a, dont take her.
I loved Dr. Linda. Homework wasn't exactly easy or hard, but you have to show that you are thinking and at least attempting to come to a resolution. She wants to help as much as possible and creates a comfortable classroom where you feel free to express ideas. I loved this class!
Prof. Handelman was a great teacher who got me really interested in philosophy. Homework isn't hard as long as you read the material. I am definitely taking her again.
She is the best philosophy teacher ever. She makes you think hard and work hard but she's there to help you improve your grade and your knowledge. Would love to take her for another course too. Awesome teacher who has the gift of teaching.
She is a great teacher and is willing to help when you need it! Would take her class again! A lot of class discussion, but it helps you understand the material more.
Not outstanding, but a solid class and Handelman is great. There is a fair amount of work, but it is very interesting. She is very helpful and will work with you as much as you need, just ask. You can tell she cares about the subject and the students. If I have one criticism it is that she is too dogmatic in her interpretation of the philosophers.
Don't take her unless you have no choice.
She was ok, just being a regular professor.
She thinks she's funny--but she's not and it get's real annoying!! There's a research paper that's turned in at the end of the semester--but you work on it throughout the entire semester and you present it to the class--interesting to hear other's papers--give her $5 and she'll make a copy of the text book-pretty much it and some minor text book wk
Do your work (which isnt hard) just say something once a day in class (no matter how dumb it may be) and you'll get a B.
Dr. Handelman was tough, but your hard work and extra effort won't go for nil. I liked her. Don't get it wrong she is tough.
This lady is very quirky. She grades hard as hell. At the beginning of the class, she said there are no wrong answers, but trust me, there are. She knows what she is talking about so don't pretend you can bs your way through this one. She is very hard, but is VERY willing to help you along. You'll learn to think in this class.
I found the class fairly easy. I felt that we spent too much time discussing the philosophical concepts, but I enjoyed the class overall. She provides a clear, fool-proof format for the response papers and she is available to anyone that needs help. Getting an A is not very difficult, as long as you attend class regularly and do all the work.
The midterm and final are not difficult, open notes. Attendance and class participation are very important to getting a good grade. The rgument project is very difficult. She didn't make clear what she expected in the project. Recommend you have her review your work as you go along during office hours to make sure you are doing what she wants.
UNLESS YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED IN PHILOSOPHY, DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She expects alot and even if you follow her guidelines your work still isn't what she wants/expects. I would not recommend her to anyone. The work is not hard, her grading criteria is! Biggest mistake taking her class for the GE requirements cause it just set me back!!!
i agree with the below rating she is very clear in what she wants but her grading is very difficult. the class consisted of one paper a week then all the papers are revised and handed in as a portfolio as well as a group project and a final. i was one of the top students and got a C. Most people drop. She is interesting in class discussions.
Do not take her if you're lazy. WORK HARD ON YOUR PORTFOLIOS <--very important. I didn't miss a class. got an a in class participation and an a in hw and the individual project and didn't pass because of of my portfolio. TAKE NOTES IN YOUR BOOK so you can use it during the final as well.
My GPA died because of her class. Unless you're planning to transfer with high grades don't take her class. I participated in class, did all the readings and got a C - I know barely anyone got an A or a B in her class. BE CAREFUL!!!
i didn't miss a class, turned everything in, got an a on the individual presentation, a in participation and got an F because of the portfolio. Her grading scale is unfair and if you want your gpa to drop don't take her class.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! it will kill your GPA. you think you are doing so good cause she makes it seem like you are getting everything...but in the end unless you are a genius at this kind of stuff you will not pass because of the writing shes makes you do. i got full points on everything else but because of the writing i failed.
Always write down your notes on your readings as you will able to use them on your final and ask questions. Make sure to rewrite your essays as they are 35% of your grade.. You can always ask her for her feedback, and take advantage of this, seriously!!! if you don't, you will regret it and will fail the class. Good luck!!
Don't take her class for any reason.
I deserve whatever grade I will get in her class. She makes it VERY clear in the first day of class what she wanted. She stresses that the class isn't easy, and that portfolios are worth 35% of your grade. Honestly, she's a GREAT teacher, the class just takes a lot of effort. She kept me awake after spending 12 hours at school! Super entertaining!
Handelman's a great professor, she's waaay better than these rating but you NEED decent writing skills to pass this class. If your willing to work hard this class is easy breezy. Pay attention, write notes, and take advantage of her office hours. oh yeah, BEWARE THE PORTFOLIO! The material pretty interesting. You'll have fun if your open minded. :]
Handleman's philosophy class is highly recommended. I looked forward to walking in her class every thursday. Her class is all about class discussion, written responses to the readings, and the PORTFOLIO (rewrites of the responses). She highlights the main points of each reading needed to write your rewrites, and takes time to answer any questions.
Those that have at least an average IQ you will definitely pass the class. I read and did the writings one day before it was due and thanks to her portfolio which are rewrites of the assignments, I was able to claim my A. The final is pretty much a reiteration of all the readings throughout the semester which she will explain to you in detail
Overall the class was pretty good. Sometimes she can get frustrating because she wants you to learn her opinion on the reading more than to formulate your own. The discussions were always really good though..and its true if you just do the work in the way she cleary states you will pass the class fine. I got a B overall.
I would not recommend this professor. I am an excellent writer and was very dissapointed by my grade. Just regurgitate on paper what she wants to hear and you will be fine. Don't form your own opinion of what the philosopher was trying to say.
Originally, I was an English major but have switched & I just took her final today for intro. to philo., easy. BUT, I had an A for participation, A for presentation, & B for final & still failed because of rewrites. I don't recommend her, this is not intro. to philo. it is philosophy of Professor Handelman. Very opinionted & hers is ALWAYS "right".
If you want to learn anything about ethics, take the class with another professor. Unless she likes you, you will not pass this class. Her grading is terrible. You will be graded on how well you can recite back to her what she "taught" you word for word. Do not take this class with her or any for that matter. Awful professor.
This teacher was awful! I did everything I was asked to do and more, and she still said I was failing. No matter what you do it will never be good enough. Another girl in the class didn't do all the assignments and passed the class because the teacher liked her. Horrible teacher.
This teacher is horrible. She wants you to repeat everything she says and when you do she agrees for about two minutes and then disagrees by making up some bs scenario.
nice professor, but to an extent. I didn't enjoy the class one bit, except for maybe the reading but as for her teaching method it wasn't helpful at all.
She's a really nice lady, but you really need to think in this class. Had to drop because my work schedule changed, but in all honesty i would've probably got a W or failed if i still stayed in that class. Don't take this class if it's for GE's. You'll Regret it for Transfer.
This teacher is horrible!!! The problem with her is that she wants the student to think just like her. If you do not agree with her or see eye to eye good luck passing. Horrible horrible, best word to describe my experience with Linda Handelman.
Do not take this class if you want to keep any decent type of GPA. The professor is extremely opinionated. She will pass or fail you depending on how much she likes you. Also, she is incredibly opinionated. The only way you pass anything is by spitting word for word what she "taught" you. Philosophy of linda handelman.
She's a really nice teacher. I was scared to take her class after reading the reviews but I like her. She's straight forward w/ her lesson plans. Basically to pass her class you must always participate & do the weekly homework assignments. She's always willing to help so see her after class or during office hours. The portfolios are important!
I enjoyed taking Handlemans class. This was my first time taking a philosophy and i enjoyed it.She isnt the easiet grader, but she is willing to bend over backwards to help her students if they ask. Great Honest professor! She is so cute too and has such pretty eyes!
Pretty average teacher. She does grade pretty hard and reads through everything you turn in completely. There is a good amount of homework to do, but no tests or final! Don't let this mislead you though, she is a difficult teacher to learn from and going to her class becomes a chore.
She's a narrow-minded egomaniac. Avoid at all costs. If I had taken this class when I was 18, she would have made think I was stupid. Taking the class at 28, it's clear to me that SHE, in fact, is stupid. Awful.
She doesn't give A's on principle. Of the 30 people in my class, one got an A. It would have been nice to understand that at the beginning of the semester rather than hurt my GPA. What a frustrating class.
SHES A TOUGH COOKIE BUT SHE REALLY GOES OUT OF HER WAY TO BE READILY AVAILABLE TO ANSWER ANY CONCERN OR QUESTION. SHE EXPECTS TO RECEIVE EXACTLY WHAT SHE ASSIGNED AND EVEN IF YOU KNOW THAT WAY ISN'T THE BEST, YOUR BETTER OFF DOING IT EXACTLY AS SHE REQUESTED OTHERWISE EXPECT A BELOW AVERAGE GRADE.
she is a tough teacher and expects you to be a professional writer. She goes on and on about stuff that don't even pertain to the material. DO NOT TAKE CARE IT WILL RUIN YOUR GPA
She is an ok teacher, really makes you think in her class, almost a little too much for people barely starting philosophy. She will help you, she offers lots of help, but you'll have to go out of your way to actually understand a lecture that you might not get. Hard class to get a A in.
If you like thinking, don't take this class. She only allows her interpretation of the philosophers. And she hates challenges. If you are a well read person she will most likely fail you. Specially if you challenge her wrong interpretations of the philosophers.
This teacher is awful. I did everything she asked and I am continuing to get check minuses. She thinks she is always right and says a lot blatantly rude things to people in class. She will probably be the reason why I lose my 3.5. Do not take this class.
i submit one paper to her, she cricle our some of the problems and tell me that i could get check plus if i fix those, and when i fixed all the problems, she told me that i need to rewrite my paper, becuase my paper is not clear. your grade really depend on her mood.
Take her if you want your GPA lowered.
Though this professor may have a specific path she insists you follow, she is a great teacher. More than writing or reading, you will be thinking in this class which provides the most rewarding experience. If you pay close attention and always ask questions, you will better comprehend the ideas presented and do well in the class.
Not helpful at all. She has her style of teaching, in a very bad way. You think you're smart until she gives you a D and F in most assignments you thought you did well. Take this class if you would like an F.
No textbook. Do not take this class. I dropped because she was terrible. 3 hours and always felt like a waste of time! Not philosophy at all! Its her way or the highway! If you email instead of call she gets mad and takes it out on your grade.
Professor Handelman's class is easy if you're dedicated. She provides lots of her free time to help you out. Make sure to keep reviewing the write ups until she gives you a check plus. She is clear to tell you what your papers need to include. The only problem is that she does not like it when you challenge her ideas.
The hardest class Ive ever taken before in my life! You had to write EXACTLY in the precise wording she wanted!! I've never been more frustrated with a class before! That being said, she's a sweet lady but be prepared to do LOTS of rewrites and possible tears of frustration!
She was very clear and helpful through out the entire course, and she gave countless opportunities to fix whatever issues might crop up in your work for a higher grade. I highly recommend her as a philosophy professor.
I loved professor Handleman. She may be a critical grader, but she gives you ever opportunity to make up for your mistakes. If you hate this class it's because you were not willing to really learn to information, or even read a few pages every day. I loved this class, and I would recommend it to anyone. I had no problem getting a good grade.
Anyone with a desire to gain knowledge and expand their views would enjoy this class. While she may be a "hard grader" she gives you every possible opportunity to make back the points. This is not the class to take for a meaningless easy A. She's a passionate educator. I recommend this Professor 100%
HORRIBLE TEACHER. If you have your own interpenetration on one of the philosophers' readings she shuts you down and tells you that you're wrong just because you don't have the same ideas as her. SHE SHOULD NOT BE TEACHING. Her class is a joke.
THE WORST PROFESSOR EVER. I do not know why she is still teaching. She hates a challenge, you will fail if you express your own opinion or thoughts. Do not waste your time taking her class you will regret it. ATTENDANCE IS CRITICAL.
Very tough class if you take days off. Tough grader as well, but she gives you every opportunity to make up your mistakes. Essentially you can get a 100 percent if you try hard enough. Listen to her corrections and write them down. I dont know why theres alot of hate for this teacher. Just follow her instructions and pay attention you will pass.
Prof Handelman is tough. Lectures are Okay. Not many tests, but several papers. She is hard to understand in regards to what she is expecting. I wouldn't take her again. i thought the class would have been easy i understood almost everything yet i still got a "C" and I was in class all the time participating.
Not the professor you want to take if you want to dip your feet in philosophy. Harsh grading and your opinion DOES NOT MATTER to her. You either accept her way of thinking or fail all her commentaries and quizzes. If you even HOPE to pass, participate and do amazing on your group project and final test.
My heart sings when I think of this wonderful human being. The study of Ethics is invaluable as is and you can tell she lives and breathes the stuff. She's not easy but does everything she can to help you if you seek her out. I felt like I was in a meaningful conversation with a close friend. Deeply resonating life long lessons to be gained here 3
Its her way or the highway! She is a semi tough grader, and she will spit in your face (Hate you) if you try to challenge her. Only a paper due each week, and a comprehensive final. No chance to show you intellect, If in the paper is not what she expected to be, then straight forward an F. Its never understood what she wants. Not Recommended.
Let me first say I am a hard working student that will rarely put down a teacher, but this was a VERY difficult class, and I did my work. This teacher was behind on grading so you did not know how you were doing, expected you to understand philosophers in HER own way, and was not clear on the group project. Offered book, but most stressful class.
A well-meaning lady who tries to open discussion and help her students. However, her understanding of the material is basic at best and she fails to really boost student learning. She grades in a very particular, often harsh way, but fails to give helpful comments or expand her own grading method. I would not recommend this class.
This was probably the worst class I took at Pasadena City College. Like many other students here said I tried my hardest, I even tried to give new perspectives on some ideas philosophers had and she generally argues that her perspective is the only correct one. By the end of the class there were only 12 students, I think that says a lot. Be careful
I worked so hard, I would ask questions. Approached her during class. Corrected my mistakes. Participated during class. Turned in all assignments. Never absent. Fully dedicated. And yet received an F. All is worded by mouth no structure. Her teaching skills are outdated. I wish I never wasted my time in taking her class. See for yourself.
Her style of teaching is old and outdated. Not an enjoyable professor.
