Her course was always fun and entertaining. She relates all the theories to her children and schizo dog :) I would definitely recommend her if you're looking to fulfill your core reqs

One of the best Psych profs. She is very entertaining and uses a lot of personal examples to relate material. Definitely worth taking any class she teaches!

Nice teacher but can get off the subject. Her tests are semi-difficult, but she curves. I got a B in the class. I would consider taking her again for an upper-level course b/c I know 101 is a LOT of info to try to learn.

Very easy class. Just get the workbook and do the practice tests in there.

I reccommend Dr. Heath for 1.) those people who learn best by listening to stories and 2.) those people who want to stay away from dry, impersonal professors. I believe anyone could easily and fairly be successful in her class.

Fun class! Very nice teacher. Easy to understand. Easy multiple choice tests. Engaging/interesting class lectures. READ your book and STUDY ahead. Anyone can get an A if they do that.

A kewl prof. Very caring and concerned about students. Has great shoes and my mom should take fashion hints from her.

Dr. Heath cracks me up! Her lectures and examples are great. She's so down to earth and interesting to listen to, and tests are not bad at all. Plus she's incredibly hot for an older woman.

Her lectures didn't put me to sleep! She is a cute lady who cares about her students and loves teaching psychology, although her tests were relatively hard..make sure you read and understand the book and you will do fine.

It's too bad shes not teaching 101 anymore. She's a lot of fun and really easy. If she offers a bonus project, DO IT!! If you fail this class, then I seriously don't know what you're doing in college.

Best professor all semester, absolutely love Dr. Heath. If you need to take PSYC101, TAKE HER. You will be glad you did. For that matter ANY CLASS she teaches. Take good notes, do some reading, guaranteed A. She is an awesome teacher and she will make you want to switch majors if you're not PSYCH.

She’s awesome!! She goes off on tangents sometimes but always gets through the lecture. I had her once a week so it was a lot of material but if you pay attention and read the book you can ace it. Great person, and Great teacher!!

She is very nice and somewhat essay! There is lots of extra credit offered and curves a little on each test! Some of her test questions are tricky so make sure you take good notes and skim the text book! I would highly recommend her!

This was a mixed undergrad/grad class seminar. Excellent coverage oif material. Very thought provoking. I worked hard and got an A. Lots of reading that WILL be discussed, so be prepared. The papers were long but interesting.

linda heath is a very good teacher. tells ppl to be quiet alot which is just irritating. tests are easy if you study a few hours.

Dr. Heath is one of the best psychology teachers at this school. You're lucky if you manage to get a class with her. Her tests are fairly easy, and lots of extra credit is available. She makes psychology interesting and fun and she is really funny. Your feelings towards a psychology major will be reinforced by her! She's just that amazing! TAKE HER

By far the best prof I've had so far. Her choice of textbook was excellent, and her lectures were really interesting. I was kind of neutral about taking this class but it turned out to be fascinating. The tests were all multiple-choice and pretty easy and she gave lots of opportunities for extra credit. I'd highly recommend her!

easy class. she is cool and her lectures are straight forward (unlike most professor's lectures). she can keep your interest and the tests are pretty easy.

Overall, a good professor. Tests are somewhat challenging, but its not too difficult to get a B. If you are a business major and need to fulfill a science requirement, I would recommend Linda. PLus she is hot for a 50 year old.

this class was so easy and it was a lot of fun too. take it if possible. this professor is awesome, and her wardrobe is amusing.

She is very fair in her grading. Two tests, two short papers, and journal. Read, read, read! It is a class that meets once a week so what do you expect. Topics are super interesting, take her. Again, to do well you have to actually read or else you will do poorly.

Dr. Heath is good at teaching and, although people slept in leture from time to time, she is entertaining. Lecture more vital to tests than book, in my opinion. She outlines what will be on the test better than the study guide does, in my opinion.

Very nice teacher! Always helpful, replies to e-mails and answers questions. Material taugh is easy to understand. Scantron tests...study up notes from class and powerpoint and you should do fine! Extra Credit Opportunities. Entertaining during class and always gives many examples. Knows her stuff well!

She is pretty cool. Approachable about anything and tries hard to keep intro level psych interesting, but it just isn't. Read the book, study her powerpoints and you'll be good.

Great class. The information can be a little boring because it is so basic but be sure to go to class EVERYDAY (b/c she talks about material that she puts on the test, so you'd miss out if u didn't). Read all the chapters and you'll do fine. Easy A/B. She's helpful and she really loves what she's teaching. Very clear and she integratesher material

TAKE HER!! She's so helpful and so interesting. The class was great because she gives so many examples to help you better understand the material. I found her jokes to be quite funny on the contray to what anyone else has said. Just read the book, take down notes and you should be fine.

I really liked her. She's very nice and clear. There are no writing assignments, 3 tests, 1 final, reading, and you have to do 8 experiments which really aren't that bad. She isn't boring and the material is interesting. I recommend her!

Heath is awesome! she explains everything so well. she offers a half a point extra credit during every class, which really helps! there are 4 noncumlmative exams with 60 questions. i suggest buying the study guide, b/c those questions are very similar to the test keeps class interesting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This is such an easy class. You can get an A just by reading the chapters the night before. All the exams are noncumulative and they're just 60 MC. There's even some extra credit. She's a nice person and her lectures are really easy to understand. There's not much to this class. I'd recommend this professor everytime.

Very clear teacher. She is a social psychologist herself so she teaches from experience. She has a lot of teaching experience, she's very flexible, there's extra credit. She's great at lectures. Overall, a high quality professor at loyola.

For everyone who is NOT a genius or a psyc major do not take this class, I do not know what everyone else is talking about with her being so easy. I did all of the assigned reading and studied for every exam 5 days in advance and still got a B, same deal with some of my friends. Good prof but if you want easy take someone who gives a study guide

I absolutely loved this class! She teaches the material by discussing studies on the topic and personal examples. She tells a lot of funny stories about her time in grad school and children. I had never taken a psych class before, and I had no trouble understanding her references to psych concepts.

she made class very interesting, and you get extra credit for going to class. I got an A but i had to work hard, i.e. read the book, do the study guide, study in advance

class is very easy, just read the book, memorize the bold terms and you can get an easy B just off that. she is the nicest teacher i've had all year even though she sometimes gets a little annoying talking about her kids all class. but i still highly recommend her.

Dr. Heath is a very nice lady who really enjoys her subject. Tests are kinda hard because she doesn't write the questions but she curves. Gives lots of bonus points. Easy A if you read and study.

I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!! She is so amazing at teaching this subject. She's funny, a bit spacey at times, but very fair. You take 4 exams--not cumulative--and she curves them. I've never taken a psychology course before, and ended up with an A. The experiment pool is also fun; make sure you schedule your experiments in advance--they fill up fast.

Dr. Heath is an awesome professor!! Her lectures were always fascinating (despite being 3 hrs long -- summer class); we watched some really interesting movies as well. Had a choice of three books to read, all very easy to get into. Midterm, Final, and a seven-page journal (on any topic relating to sex & gender)... Read + Go to Class + Study = A!!!!

Linda is a Meryl Streep look-a-like and I love it. Doesn't connect with students, but is a pleasure to listen to during class. Is extremely knowledgeable in Psychology and has good stories. She gets very tangential in her lectures sometimes, which can put you to sleep, but some of the stories she tells are pretty interesting. Not a hard class.

Take her if you can. Easy class.

Easy. If you go to class to get the extra credit clicker points, skim the book before the quizzes, and pay decent attention, you'll get a good grade. She's good at teaching but tends to run off track a lot

A lot of people are saying its an easy class... yeah not so much. Many people do good in this class, but the exams are difficult. I felt really prepared for our last exam and ended up getting a D! The concepts and theories are all so similar in psychology it is easy to get confused during exams. Study Study Study. The exam is 70% reading material

dr. heath is an amazing professor. her tests are very hard and challenging, but if you prepare for them, you will be fine. the majority of you you grade depends on the 3 exams and final, no essays which can be both good and bad. she relates many real life experiences and examples to the topis discussed, which helps you remember and understand.

Despite some of these ratings, this class is super hard for me. I feel like I know the material but I keep getting C's and D's on the exams. No matter how hard I study, it just doesn't pay off. I do like her teaching style though. Lots of examples and her lectures are actually interesting... I guess I'm just a poor test taker...

Dr. Heath is a great teacher! She tells interesting anecdotes, tries to make students laugh and smile, and gives extra credit points via i-Clicker. Memorize the power-points completely! If you do so and complete the workbook that goes along with the text (recommended), you will certainly do well. Inspires interest in psychology!

Dr. Heath is amazing! Her lectures are great and discussion based. PSYC of Peace is fun adn recommended to all PSYC and PAX majors or minors. Two papers, read one novel and the final!

She's SO much fun. The Psych of Peace class is very easy going. Lots of movies, interesting lectures, fun "true story" book (your choice) to read. Overall, very easy and very enjoyable class. Two papers, an optional final. Easy grader and tells great stories. You will laugh! She's a very, very nice lady. Highly recommend her.

Great teacher. Lectures are informative, fun and lively. She has a great personality while giving lectures and right before exams. Offers extra credit (iClicker), which really add up, as well as 2 Jeopardy games worth max of 5pts. each. Reading is semi-required because exams are fairly challenging but if you read and come to class, you'll be fine.

Very interesting class!! I enjoyed every minute. She is very knowledgeable about psyc and law. She gets sidetracked occasionally and tells hilarious stories. Midterm, Final, and Journal (6 pages single spaced written throughout the semester). Exams are not hard if you just go to class and pay attention.

Professor Heath is awesome. She tells so many great stories that make the information relatable. Her lectures are often unintentionally hilarious, although we covered a lot of material--I actually did learn a lot. The tests aren't hard, just fill out the study guides. She's great, definitely take her.

Relaxed and easy going, got an A. Everything everyone else said is true. Pretty much only 2 assignments all semester. BUT no guidelines on assignments so you don't know what it takes for an A, B, etc. The class was only out of ~100 points so be careful! Work hard on the 2 assignments and final because if you mess one up, you won't get an A.

Great class & even better prof! Go to class, pay attention to the great stories, fill out the study guides & do the weekly reflection journals and you will get a good grade. More importantly you will learn SO much!! Can't wait to take Dr.Heath again!!!

Please take her! She's so awesome, super funny and very informed about psyc and law. She keeps you engaged in the 75 minute class period, never a dull moment. Not too hard but you will learn a ton, the best kind of class.

Attendance worth 10%, so kind of mandatory. She was not all that knowledgeable about the law aspect of this class, but it was a fun class, and she was very interesting. The class was never boring. Heath is a great professor, she uses real world examples in her lectures to make it more understandable and is always willing to explain things after class if you didn't understand in the lecture. Might get bored if not interested in CJS. Went to class and took good notes, barely looked at study guide and spent minimal time studying and got an A.

She's a riot. Funniest woman ever. Her lectures are interesting and she knows exactly what she's talking about. The reading isn't too bad, but if you skip lecture you're missing a lot. The tests are half reading half lecture. The videos are crazy interesting. And they take a field trip to a Chicago courtroomjail. Overall cool class.

Psych & Law isn't an easy course, but Dr. Heath makes it fun with hear easy-to-understand PowerPoints and real-world experiences, lectures, and funny statements. She offers a field trip to the courthouse and the jail, which is also a plus. Lots of reading, but the majority of test items are from class. You can get an A if you study. Take her!

Dr. Heath is a great professor. She gives exams that is relevant to what is taught and gives real world examples. She makes statements that will make you laugh and that helps you remember it for the exam. I would take a course again from her.

Great professor, three exams all multiple choice (gives study guides for the exams) she is so funny and very easy, as long as you do the assignments you get 100% on them. She has a lot of background in the law, she has very good stories!! Take her you will not regret it!!!!!

Quirky and loves her work. One of the funniest ladies I've ever met She assigns a novel which takes up a good amount of the semester. MUST READ IT. Tests are easy if you read the study guide and power points. Incredibly interesting lectures. Very helpful at office hours.

Dr. Heath is one of the best on campus. She's funny and has great stories relating to the course. Her lectures are all on Sakai, so it makes it easy to follow during class, but also nice if you can't attend class, you know what you're missing.

For PAX there are several books for the class including one that you read for a book discussion type project. Dr. Heath is super nice and really funny, goes on quite a few tangents but her class is easy. You watch a lot of videos and have some reflection journals, but besides that there were two papers and a final with no other exams.

She definitely wants you to do well in her class and gives you every opportunity to get a good grade. She goes off on tangents a lot, but they were usually interesting/ relevant. 10/10

Go to class and you will pass and most likely get an A. Just make sure you answer the essay question completely (don't overthink) and you should be fine. Readings are assigned but she goes over most of the big topics so it is not necessary.

Make sure you take lots of notes because most of the things that are on the tests are thing she's said off the powerpoint. With that said, Dr. Heath is great, funny, and has a lot of interesting stories to tell which she connects back to the lecture. An A is most definitely possible if you show up to class and work. Didn't use the textbook at all.

Nice lady but her powerpoints can be confusing if you don't pay attention and take detailed notes. She has study guides for the exams but they're not that helpful. You're better off just studying the powerpoints and your notes. Asks a handful of questions on exams about things she has never talked about. Textbook not needed. Exams are curved.
