Best prof. I've ever had. Organized, fast grader, helpful, lots of office hours, sense of humor. Quizzes are all extra credit. Tests are easier than quizzes. Great class to take, especially for comp. science majors who need to get a lot of math. She rocks

Very interesting teacher who loves what she teaches and helps as much as she can with everything. Tests are pretty to the point and cover only what was done in class...easy class, kind of immature in her teaching style but thats her personality and it fits her. An awesome prof, take for math...

have not been in a class room for over 25 years. she made it possible for me to feel I had accomplished something and that I had learned an aweful lot by the end of the semester. I highly recommend her. Do your work and the good grade is yours!

Awesome teacher! She's very enthusiastic & beyond helpful. She gives quizzes weekly for extra credit. She prepares you for every test with review sheets.

shes the best!!! she made the class a blast. to fully understand the material i suggust doing the hw, although she doesnt check, its for your own good, it really helps. you do board work the day before the test (review) be there for it!! ill take her again any day of the week!!!!!!!!

VERY energetic, actually made me want to pay attention, and i HATE math. she's very clear in explaining things, very helpful, she never checks the homework but i recommend doing it for your own practice. also, quizzes for extra credit once a week and if everyone passes, she buys the class donuts. def take this class!

I had to withdraw from College Algebra the semester before, then I took this class...dreading it. Thanks to Prof Henderson I passed with an A...something that I was amazed at! She makes math seem easy, & if you need help she's very accessible. I definitely recommend this class/professor to anyone who has trouble in math! Gives xtra credit as well!

I thought Professor Henderson was great. She is down to earth, kind, sweet and caring. I would definitely take another class with her.

I took finite math with her, it was the only A I've had in math, and a requirement that I needed to fill. She made the class fun, and made math not so bad. Every once in a while though she kind of freaks out when students dont try, but other than that, its great, I say take the class (esp. if you are shaky in mathematics).

I don't think I've ever seen anyone so excited about math as her. Very helpful and excellent teacher!

Henderson was a great teacher. I don't even like math, and i'm horrible at it, but she made the class at least do-able. She was a really nice lady. She even called me once when I was out the day before a test to make sure I knew about it. Definately take her for stat.

Great Professor. We had about 4 tests and every week we had a quiz, but the quiz was extra credit on your final grade!! Do your homework it really does help!

Easily one of the happiest individuals I have ever met. Her attitude and consistently overflowing joy make her class something to look forward to, even if you hate Math. She treats the class for what it is, a simple liberal arts course for non-math majors who need math credits. She is honest, intelligent, sweet, nurturing, fair and top notch!

Professor Henderson's class was definitely one to look forward to. There is homework after every class but I didn't mind because she taught every topic so well. The tests are fair and there is also one extra credit 3 to 5-question quiz once a week. She doesn't mind if you're late as long as you don't disrupt the class as you take your seat.

Awesome Math teacher. extremely easy to understand, even if you hate math. All the quizzes are extra credit, its impossible to fail the class unless you don't show up. Doesn't move to fast, keeps pace with everyone. Checks homework.

Prof Henderson is extremely nice and has a good sense of humor. She clearly explains how to do all of the work. The material may not be easy, but she teaches it well. I learned a lot in her class. Lots of homework! Be prepared. If you pay attention you and do your homework, you should do well.

*easy A if you do every homework problem. (homework problems are sometimes on the test). There is an extra credit quiz every week which helps you prepare for future tests (if you get all the extra credit points you get about an extra 8% on your final grade). She sometimes confuses herself on the board which wastes time. Review basic algebra skills!

I enjoyed her class. She tried to make sure we understood concepts b4 moving on to the next topic. I think she cares for her students and does want them to succeed. I'm typically not a strong math student but the class is set up in a way where mature (studying, caring, eager) students should not have a problem getting an A.

There is a comment below that is true, Prof. Henderson does nit-pick and will take off points for some very minor mistakes such as not writing a solution in the area she requests. BUT she offers extra credit each week and the minor points don't necessary have a huge impact on your grade.

Henderson is a wonderful teacher!!! Definitly take her you won't regret it. She gives lots of extra credit and explains each chapter in detail. Math is not easy but she really helps. Great personality too!!

Ms.Henderson is the best teacher I've had in college. She wants all of her students to succeed and as long as you put the work in and do you homework, study, and ask her ques when you start to get stuck on material, you will do well in the class. She teaches the hardest material and makes it very understandable. Wonderful teacher, great person too.

hands down my best professor at occ. as a math education major i really appreciated her and her teachings! ask her about donuts bc they go along with the extra credit quizzes each week. defintiely helped me achieve my A that I wanted in her class. she made you work, but only for your own benefit, highly recommend!

She is definitely the best professor you can take for pre-calc at OCC. She gives a quiz every week that will only count as extra credit, and the questions on the quizzes and homeworks are used for her tests. Awesome professor.

Her extra credit quizzes were helpful in maintaining our grade and for study guides. She illustrated the concepts very clearly. I really enjoyed her class. Even early in the morning her class was pleasant and I got an A, so I was pretty happy. Do your homework and you will be fine.

After taking her courses i never bothered to post my experiences here before. She is very good but she does have limited time before and after class. Lectures are informative but as college students its the student's job to take information and apply it. She shows both if you pay attention. For those who do not get math, i ask, why take pre-calc?

Prof Henderson is amazing!!! If you don't take her you are missing out. She loves teaching, patient, answers any questions and gives you every tool to succeed. I took her for 191 and 192 and ended both classes with A's

I recommend taking her class if you have not taken a math class in a long timehave not been in school for a long time. She'll assign a LOT of work, but its always a lot harder than the tests she gives. Therefore, it is hard to fail testsquizzes. Even if you miss classes you'll have to do online quizzes, which makes it hard to fall behind.

she's great. I really like her methods, and she really wants you to succeed and do well. So many of my classmates complained about her, but if you put in the time, you'll be fine. It's annoying how she checks homework every class like we're 5, but Im passing with flying colors, and math was never my thing

Very funny professor. She has sarcasm. She is a tough grader though and not as easy. If you want an easy A she is not the professor you want. If math is required in your major and you want to learn take her.

She's awesome. 2nd sem w her. Took pre-calc & calc in HS & took pre-calc w another prof in the past & withdrew... I never understood pre-calc & trig until I took her class. If you're looking for easy, it's not going to be, but if you're looking to actually learn the material then take her. Gives EC quizzes, Hw not graded. Wish I could write more.

I take her at 8am, and you better be there on time or you're going to hear it from her about being on time. She gives HW almost every class; never did one. Gives out short extra credit quizzes. Tests are not that bad, she gives reviews and posts the solutions online. I got a B, but i could have gotten a B+ but i did zero homework and extra credit.

She definitely is there for you if you really had a care for math and your grade. Her office hours are lenient but she can deal with hours after that. She is great. She was there for me, but I wasn't there for the grade . I give her at 9/10

Precalc class is tough if you havent taken it in hs, but Henderson does everything to help you understand the subject. HW is not graded but checked once in awhile--effort counts. 4 tests. WebAssign is optional but gives extra credit on tests and my grade jumped to an A once I started doing them. Cumulative test opt to replace lowest test grade.

Professor Henderson is an excellent math teacher. I had her for precalc I, and, no, I did not take it in high school. She explained the material very well, but as she keeps saying, math is not a spectator sport, and she gives a lot of homework. Most students found that if they did all the homework plus the online extra work they did well.

There's hw and a review for the tests. Do them and you'll get an A no doubt. She offers short extra credit quizzes that can be pretty easy. Hw is not graded but the tests may have similar or even the same problems so it's good to look at. Overall a great and slightly crazy professor.

Professor Henderson is a bit intimidating at first but she has a good heart under the tough-act. She's very caring and willing to work with her students to help them. I would definitely recommend her as long as your willing to put in the work at home to match what she does in class. Overall, I would absolutely take her again for any math class.

I 100% recommend her. She coo-coo in the head when she wants to be, but she is super helpful outside that classroom. She is far more better than any other professor out there for math. I took her for Math 191 and passed. Her extra credit is online, and she gives out helpful tips to help us figure out the answers. She is a B+ to a A

Professor Henderson was amazing. If you're any good at math and actually care about your grade, she really is there to help you! I took her for an 8 am and actually loved her class, she gives a TON of extra credit so you can't use any excuses! homework is optional, however it really helps you understand what you're learning in class

Loved her teaching style. She explains concepts so that they're easy to comprehend and prepares you very well for the exams. Offers much extra credit and definitely buy the book because that's where hw comes from. She's the reason why I switched to be a math major. Can't say enough great things about her as a professor. I adore Mrs. Henderson. She is great. I'm terrible at math but she really breaks it down for you until you understand it. If there's another math class that she's going to be teacher, I will be taking her! She's energetic, and always comes to class with a smile on her face and ready to teach. She gives me hope that I can and will do better.

At first prof Henderson does come off as very intimidating. And I did struggle at first. But then I decided to put the effort into the class. What I liked about her was that she did not baby students. If you did the homework you passed simple as that. Homework was long but as long as you did some of it that was fine. She gives so much extra credit
