Very good teaching skills

Dr. Holman is a credit to Kingsborough she makes her subject both interesting and exciting. A provactive approach to teaching that would keep you awake and coming back for more. She doesn't just teach she draws out your hidden potential. :)

great teacher. even though i took her last year, she still asks me how im doing and how im doin in my classes.

Even tho she may be a bit too politically correct and wholesome at times,she is still an excellent english teacher and a credit to an otherwise mediocre 2 year school

I did all her work and she gave me B`s on everything, even though i had worked so hard. She gave me a B even though i did all her work, read the book, and aced her quizes. She makes you write every day in class, summaries and paragraphs about your class work. If she doesnt like you your not getting an A. So start sucking up!!!

An amazing professor. I wish that all of my profs had been like her. She's one in a million. She was always knowledgeable, respectful, and kind. I agree that she grades fair. Moreover, she all time told us if we did not like a final grade, we could rewrite an essay, and she would give us new one. So, this is just your fault, that you got B, dude

Treats every student with courtesy and respect. she's a really friendly professor who doesn't want to see any of her students fail. she definitely knows how to teach her class and will do her best to help the students in anyway she can. She is a very kind pearson, and very respectful to students. It is not an easy class, and you have to work hard, in order to get an A. But, if you do your homework and participate in class, then you will be fine. However, the attendance is very improtant: if u miss more than 4 classes, then she will advise you to drop a class, or u will get a WU.

She is an excellent professor.Very understanding and Interesting.This prof. is down to earth and understand her students.The class was overall easy.Attendance is necessary.She blends her classwork with current events and stuff.She is never rude and takes all questions.

Don't listen to previous comments made about, Prof. Holman. She is probably one of the best professors in KBCC. Yes, she's a hard grader but she only does it to push you to make better work. She's actually INCREDIBLY sweet & helpful to everyone! I would defiantly recommend taking her class!!!

i luv her in general, but she is really hard when grading essay especially punctuation!thats only cuz she want us to be good at writing. the immortal life of Henrietta lacks was given 4 free so we just hand to buy the Easywriter by Andrea lunsford. i think im a good writer but my final grade was an A-...no exams,3 essays back 2 back. shes nice.

Professor Holman, is not easy cookie she gives a lot of writing and reading assignments. She does a lot from the textbook so if you take her class buy the book. Don't miss too many of her classes or you will get a wu. She is nice woman and she not r***** like people are saying she is. She will make u a better writer.

She is a very hard grader. Doesn't explain exactly what she wants on her papers. She criticizes everything you write including your opinion. Her lessons are extremely boring and the book she makes you read is terrible. DO NOT take her or if you get her drop the class. She won't help you at all.

Prof. Holman is a great instructor for freshmen English 1. She gives amazing feedback on writing assignments, she makes topics so interesting and engaging and encourages the use of out-of class materials! I wish she was teaching English 24! As a writer in her class I grew!

Lovely individual, I love professor Holman. She's really nice, caring and she grades fairly. You get what you deserve. Love her passion for emglish and making sure her students actually learn. Despite what others say, she's a great english professor. Love her smile.

This has to me the best English Professor ever. She not an easy grade but you differently love this class. Class discussions were the best and you learn so much, she is flexible and willing to work with you in and out of class. She is an amazing woman and even teachers you to think a way you never have thought.

Great professor. I would take her class again. Good book - The Smartest Kids in the World, and How They Got That Way. 3 papers. Noticed a big difference in my personal development using her feedback and lectures. Very kind, and will go out of her way to help you if you need.

Linda Holman is my best professor. she is demanding but encouraging. I learned a lot from her. Because of her now I am able to write good papers. I am an expert with MLA standards because of her.

Professor Linda Holman, I took her English 93. She's very kind and sweet . She care about her students. When I passed my CATW i will take her English 12/24 .

Professor Holman is very kind, you will need the text book and will need to read it. She will give a couple surprise quizzes on the chapters to make sure your reading. 2 essays and 1 research paper. I got an A- and she recommended me for english honors. I definitely seen improvement in my writing skills throughout the semester. Take her!

Great professor! She makes you write a lot of essays but thats because she really cares and wants you to practice to be able to pass the CATW. She is very kind and respectful. She really loves what she does and really cares about her students. She may give assignments but just do them and shell help you pass. TAKE THE CLASS WITH HER!!!!

I love love love professor holman I took her class back in spring 2015. She is an amazing professor with a sweet spirit and she is very caring. She's a tough grader you will have to work very hard in this class if you want to pass. She gives excellent feedback. i really enjoyed this class.

I LOVE HER! Holman gives such great feedback on essays, she comes off with a little sarcasm. But she just wants you to improve on your essays throughout the sem. She's really not a tough grader though. Just show that you want to pass the class and you will. I'D SO TAKE HER CLASS AGAIN THOUGH!

I had no idea what an essay was before. After taking her 92 class I became 1 of the top 3 or 4 good students in the class. She's very motivating and caring. In the end of the class I felt that I accomplished a lot. This is why I sing "started from the bottom now we here" by drake.

She truly has an Amazing personality, uses Blackboard, is caring and gives helpful feedback, I took her in Fall 2018 for English 12, and still wanna take her again!!! One of the bests in kbcc. Without her, I would never develop my English so much.

I learned a lot with her, she is amazing professor, she cares about her students, always answer your emails. For me is one of the best professors in KBCC, I wish I can take car for my ENG12 but I need to take the class in summer otherwise I def will take her as my ENG12 professor.

Wonderful professor, who cares about her students. She tries to teach everyone things that she knows by herself. Very interesting material and lectures. Needs to read a book! Some quizzes pops up. But not hard, once you're read you are good to go.!

Linda Holman is one of the best professors in Kingsborough. Shes patient and caring, she really wants you to learn and she will help you with whatever you need. She is kind and nice I highly recommend her.

In 1985, I was on 67 days of terminal leave from the Marine Corps, as I sat in her class for the first time. Dr. Holman was about age 24. I was a 9th grade dropout with a GED. She was stunning. I was in love. She walked in one day with an engagement ring on her finger and broke my heart. I retired from teaching from the DOE last year. Thanks Doc!

Don't be afraid to take professor Holman because she cares about her students. Keep in mind English-12 is a portfolio class. Therefore, other professors will read your papers at the end of the semester, and you will have plenty of time to revise your papers and make them ready to pass. Three papers total (25% for each) + Discussion board 25%

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT DON'T Trust the review under me; it's a completely false statement about professor Holman. She gives you feedback to improve your paper. The online class was amazing, and she did everything to make us feel comfortable. 10/10 would take her if I had a chance.

Don't hesitate!!! Prof. Holman is absolutely wonderful!!! I drop out of school for six years, she is the one who gives me the courage to keep going... The weekly assignment is fun to do, the discussion board is thought-provoking!!!

I think prof Holman is great !! The weekly assignments were clear. However, she does not grade throughout the course but she does grade and comment on the research papers. The comments were always clear and encouraging and I think thats what pushed my writing to get better and better. Highly recommend if you want to learn how to write.

She is a very nice professor and cares a lot about her students. Although the class is long you learn a lot. She pushes you to get the work done and does not call you out when you fail to complete your work. She is always open to communicating with you if you have any concerns or problems.

Professor Holman runs a tough but rewarding class. The workload is heavy, but her feedback helps you improve. I found unstuckstudy and the provided textbook invaluable for study prep. Overall, a challenging yet enriching experience.
