Awesome teacher! uses unique examples to explain calc and makes sure that everyone understands.
Mrs. Hutchison is probably the best math teacher i have had in my life, she really cares and she will work to make you understand. A+
No Comments
Mrs. Hutchison is amazing! SHe is a very straightforward grader and really REALLY cares about her students. She goes above and beyond her duties as a math teacher and genuinely wants her students to do well. Her class is the only A+ so far for me!
Cares for her students, but really not the best teacher for Calc. II. She insists upon covering a section a day (regardless of the amount of info), and gives less than solid examples- Easy quizzes and tests, but you'll end up learning a bit on your own.
So sweet and helpful..
Stay away. She acts so friendly but she is mean. She is never available for help.
She uses class time to discuss her personal values. I shouldn't have to pay to listento that when I needed help with math.
Not fit to teach MATH 175... its just not her specialty, plus the material even at times seems over her head. Super nice though, always willing to help, but you'll never finish one of her 175 tests during 1 class period.
She is a very visual person, so she brings visual examples to class and does her best to help you 'see' it all. If you put the effort in, she'll really go out of her way to help you out however she can. The tests and quizzes are easy, awesome class.
Sweet woman and caring individual, but has her favorites. She's very good at some concepts, but needs some work on others.
Mrs. Hutchison is a nice lady and very helpful outside of class. Her tests can be hard and sometimes tricky. The tests were the only thing I did not like about the class.
Easy advanced math requirement CPLE fulfillment, if you're interested.
life lessons are great.
She keeps class light and fun! But it is tough.
Likes to preach. If you go for help be prepared to really get preached to. She has her favorites in class so try not to tick her off - it could affect you grade.
I had Mrs. H at Belmont several years ago. She made more of an impact on my life than any other teacher. She is not an easy professor, but she is very good if you are willing to do your part as well. She gives great advice, too!
She can be tricky, but overall a great lady that tries to make math fun with her own little twist.
Class is very tough, but hutchison is a pretty nice teacher. Make sure you dont get a crappy TA though...
pick favorites real bad. pretty unclear on several key math concepts.
it was really fun taking class with her just one warning she shares her test with pamela pigg and if pamela did the test prepare to flunk big time
she was a great teacher. she made calculus enjoyable and understandable. as boring as calculus was she made it better and if you do the homework and study it isnt that hard at all plenty of people got a's but if you dotn do anythign then youll fail
She's a good teacher and likes to put little bits of life advice into her lectures. The quizzes/homeworks aren't too terribly hard, but don't be fooled because the tests are really really difficult and their hardness can catch you off guard. STUDY/DO YOUR HOMEWORK/GET A TUTOR IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE!!
Mrs. Hutchison KNOWS what she's doing, she just doesn't always convey it very well. She's really motherly and southern...like if you make a bad grade on something she feels the need to console you. Quizzes are fine, tests can be long and surprisingly hard. I felt well prepared for the final.
If you're looking for an easy Calc, this is it. But be warned, dealing with this southern sweetheart is still hell at 9:00 on a hung over Friday.
I had to take this class even though I placed out of it and I still ended up with a C. She's a very personal teacher who I disliked personally which affected my grade. Suck up if you must. Doesn't give enough time on the quizzes and tests at all.
Very clear teacher- she relates real-life experiences to math. If you had a calculus class in high school, this class is going to be easier. Just do the homework and you'll be completely set; the TAs kinda suck , though.
She relates stuff to real life and she is very sweet. She tries to work with students at whatever level.Plus, she's pretty encouraging!
She is really nice and knows what she is talking about. Sometimes she goes off on a tangent to give you life lessons that seem to tie into the math you may be talking about. She does pick favorites in her classes though.
Basically Ms. Hutchison rocked my world. Hint, if you've taken Calculus before, say in High School, speak up when A) she asks questions or B) when she makes mistakes in her math. It will really endear you to her. There will be some really silly kids in this class, but they mean well, and if you help them out, she will like you even more.
Ms. Hutchison is very nice, very organized, and very helpful. Her quizzes are not bad; her tests are just like the practice problems, but they can be surprisingly long.
Avoid this woman at all costs! She's obsessed with number crunching and messy arithmetic, not understanding concepts/material. Her tests are INSANELY LONG. It's impossible to finish tests without frantically rushing, and you have no time to check your arithmetic. Her "partial credit" is stingy, and she counts off heavily on the smallest mistakes.
Amazing professor if you do the homework. Her tests are long, but she's a fair grader, and she only makes them that long, because it guarantees that the only people who will do well on them are the ones who put forth the effort outside of class. Great lecturer. Gives you printed notes for almost every lesson.
She's nice and organized, but she has no mercy. Her tests are way too long. Practice like crazy, cause what measures your grade in this class is not how well you understand the material but how fast you can do it.
nice person, but her long tests will most likely take off a letter grade from your deserved grade.
DO the homework...the tests are just like the homework. She teaches in a very easy manner.
Hutchison is very nice, & she always relates math to life. She teaches in a very easy & understandable manner. The downfall is that her tests are NOT as easy and understandable. The best thing to do is do ALL homework, consult with TAs, & attend review sessions because the tests are ALWAYS MUCH HARDER than the lecture problems and quizzes.
wonderful teacher! she explains everything clearly and precisely. won't move on to another concept until she's convinced that everyone understands. haven't done the homework since the first week. just make sure to take notes!
Department Standardized tests arent easy, although she tries to make the dry subject of calculus more interesting.
In class she taught extremely fast and rarely stopped to explain what she was doing. Her tests were even worse, I have no idea how I passed this class.
I had failed Calculus twice! The first time I had a professor who didnt speak English. The 2nd time I had Pigg, who makes the subject difficult for no reason. Hutchinson was the best! She wouldn't move on to a new concept until she thought that everyone understood. She was nice, easy to understand, and a great teacher.
Extremely nice, southern lady. Very knowledgable and goes out of her way to help. The class was horrible, but she made it as bearable as possible.
Prof. Hutchinson made math bearable for someone who's been terrified of it for most of her life. She actually made math interesting again and understandable. Only problem, quizzes were NO indicator of how hard tests were. Test inevitably cover THE hardest and most complicated homework problems so if you don't have those down you're in trouble.
Correlation: when I went to class, my grade went up. When I didn't go to class, my grade went down. Shocking! But it is so true. Tests are long, hard. But if you go to class, you will learn what you need for the tests.
One of the best 150a professors. Nice, helpful outside of class, and she really knows what she's talking about. I'd highly recommend.
Prof. Hutchison is an incredible teacher, one of the best I had freshman year. If you must take calc. make sure you take it with her!!! Her class average is consistently better than the departmental average and it's no definately not better students, she's just that good of a teacher.
Great teacher, easy A if you're looking to get a math credit (Peabody students...) and you've had any calculus before. Attendance is mandatory but if you sleep through it (morning class..), you can still go to the later class and make up for it, just make sure she knows you're there. Kind of boring lectures though-I recommend crosswords or sudoku.
very easy to understand. makes class fun and understands that some ppl hate math. cares about students and will help you do well if you come to class and office hours. not hard at all if you've had some high school calc.
Hutch is a real joy in the classroom. She's funny, engaging, and very dependable.. a great teacher overall. She tells you exactly what you need to know for the test/weekly quizzes. The personal anecdotes don't hurt, although they can be distracting. The weekly TA sections are somewhat useless as the TAs often don't seem to have a clue. But, if you
PROFESSOR HUTCHISON IS A GOD SENT TEACHER . . . SHE IS A TRUE BLEESING!!! SHE'S A SOUTHERN MIDDLE AGED WOMAN WHO ALWAYS HAS A JOKE FOR THE DAY!!!! SHE IS SO HELPFUL OUTSIDE OF CLASS AND SHE HAS AWESOME TAS!!! HER TEST ARE LONG BUT IF U DO THE HOMEWORK AND ASK FOR HELP WHEN U NEED IT U'LL DO FINE!!! ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY!!! I LOVE HER! I GOT AN A!
She is the best math teacher I have ever had...she has the mentality that ANYONE can do calculus. Take her class and she will explain stuff in a way that makes total sense. She gives handouts every day of class and takes AMAZING notes on the board!!!!!! She is also so sweet and very patient!
This class will kill you. It is ridiculously difficult, but as far as calculus teachers here at Vandy, she is the best (maybe second only to Pigg). Obviously, avoid this class at all costs. But, if you must take it, she is a good professor to have.
I had her for both 150A and 150B, and she was the best teacher in the math department- her sections always do the best on departmental exams. As long as you study your notes and do ALL the homework and know how to do all the problems, the quizzes are easy and the exams are at least do-able. If you have to take math, take her or Pigg at all costs.
She is seems like the typical southern woman. Her tests were easy and attendance is encouraged but not required as long as you are smart.
I hate math, but she made it a totally bearable class to serve my AXLE requirement. She explains concepts concisely and clearly, and smiles throughout the entire class. If you do the homework, go to class, and keep up on more difficult concepts then math 140 can be a painless, manageable class and easy A.
Very Helpful, knowledgeable, and keeps math (a painfully boring subject) lively. Highly recommend if you hate math.
Professor Hutchinson is ADORABLE! I would definitely recommend this class if you don't like math but need an AXLE requirement, especially if you took calc in high school. If you go to class and do the homework, the tests are easy. She always has funny stories too, which makes it easier to get through. Great class.
She is seriously the best math teacher I have ever had. I thought I was going to get at most a B, B- in this class, but I ended up with an A somehow and i truly think it was because of her. She explains everything, is so helpful in office hours, is so sweet, and our class always did the best out of the department. I seriously recommend her!
Hutchison is definitely the best and nicest 150A professor. She is very tough and expects you to work hard to earn your grade. Her quizzes are very hard, however, but they prepare you for the exams. If you take Hutchinson and do the work, you will do well or at least decently. Make sure you pay attention to the problems in class and do the HW!
Ms Hutchison is awesome. Before I took her class, I have been hating math all my life. I believe that this is the last math class i would ever have in my life. And she makes me fall in LOVE with math. That's how good she is! She's a really nice southern lady who expects a lot from her students but also truly cares about students. PLEASE TAKE HERS!
Her lectures are incredibly boring. She is also very distanced from her students; everything is done through TA's. My high school calc teacher was better than she was, although Hutchison treated us like we were kindergarteners. The class moves at a ridiculously slow pace but the tests/quizzes are harder than expected. She tries to trick you!
If you took AP Calc in high school, you will breeze through this class. She gave us one hard test the entire year and even that was reasonable. Even though you will learn a lot through the TA, it is still easy to approach her. k
Such a sweet lady. You can miss two classes, do test corrections to bring up your exam average, and I think she let us drop a quiz or two if I remember correctly. Her office hours aren't amazing, but the TA's are available pretty much every afternoon. If you do the homework the tests and quizzes are very reasonable. She'll tell u what to expect
She is a nice person, but her tests are very tricky. They are long and heavy in arithmetic and algebraic messes where you can easily lose points. This class will not help your GPA.
great teacher! if you have any problems you can just let her know and she'll be more than willing to help you. she actually wants her students to succeed. Highly recommend her!
Apparently Linda is one of the better math 155B teachers. She's really nice, but is a tough grader. Get one negative sign wrong and you get the entire problem wrong. Though she is helpful in office hours.
Ms. Hutchison was warm, helpful, and very, very clear--and more than willing to help at office hours! Her quizzes, though hard, really show you what to brush up on for the exam, which is written by the department because 150B is a standardized course. She is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. Period. I give her my highest recommendation.
First of all, amazing teacher. Makes everything incredibly clear and easy to understand. Tests are very reasonable. Do the homework and you'll do great. As a person, she is so helpful and kind. I would 100% recommend her and say you should alter your schedule just to be in her class.
Easier than AP Calc in high school. No calculator used or needed.
Easy if you've taken AP Calc, no calculators allowed so all problems are simple. Quizzes are simple and tests are basically all the quizzes put together. Study a little and do great.
This class is not difficult. If you got a 4 or 5 on AP Calc in high school, this class is a joke. Professor isn't very helpful if you're struggling though.
Maybe in the past she cared more about teaching. Now all her lectures consist of copying problems that she rapidly solves on the board. It's clear their isn't any thought going into the lesson because she often makes simple mistakes as a result of her remembering the problems incorrectly for last semester. She rarely gives any context to the math.
Hutchison is the sweetest lady. She makes calculus bearable. Got a 3 on AP calc in high school and breezed through this class by studying the night before for tests and getting good quiz grades each week. the TAs were very helpful and nice-- she wants you to do well! take her!!!
If you've passed AB Calc, it'll be easy. If you haven't taken calc before, it's probably gonna be rough (she goes pretty fast). As a teacher, she's pretty clear, and knows the material well. Don't expect a lot of excitement, except from her occasional pointless (but entertaining) anecdotes. Hutchison is a sweet lady, and seemed approachable.
She is the sweetest lady ever and is very helpful. Class is really easy.
She just faces the board the entire class and rapidly solves problem, saying numbers out loud instead of steps of the problem. She is sweet, and tells cute stories, but her class is just not bearable. She also makes quizzes easy (but worth a tiny fraction of your grade) and tests impossibly hard. Would recommend pass/fail if possible.
I love her! She is so helpful, but she also doesn't take herself too seriously. The quizzes are hard, so be sure to study for them. However, they really help you prepare for the tests. Go to her office hours, she is so helpful. Work hard, and once you get used to the tests/quizzes you'll be fine.
I LOVE Professor Hutchison! She is very clear and can break down even the most difficult concepts. She is very helpful and will do anything to help her students. She is very available and is extremely friendly. If you have to take calculus, TAKE HER!!!
She is AMAZING! She breaks down everything in a way anyone can understand it. She's really funny and friendly too. Be sure to study for the quizzes and tests though. Overall a great professor.
Literally the vaguest lecturer in relation to her quizzes and tests. Think you understand Calculus? Think again, with completely inconsistent tests, you'll be plunged into a dizzying spiral of studying, failing, only interrupted by fits of tears and anguish. Much weeping and gnashing of teeth is required to pass this class.......... with a C.
She's a great professor. Very kind and tries to keep calculus entertaining. However, the class is still really tough, particularly if you've never taken calculus before. Lots of consistent studying required.
Tells cute stories that have little or nothing to do with the lecture. Students familiar with calculus will enjoy this class very much. Students who need to learn calculus will find the lectures and coursework disorganized and the tests punishing. Being Linda's student feels like being in high school or elementary school to me.
This class is not very difficult if you have taken Calculus before. She is a good teacher who goes through problems step by step. Do the homework and you can do fairly well on quizzes, which are difficult. The quizzes prepare you well for the tests. She is an excellent, fair teacher. Going to discussion is extra credit!
I got a 5 on the AP Calc AB test and I still got a B+ in the class. I understood all the material perfectly, but the tests are long and it's hard to finish within the time allowed. Also, no calculators are allowed so you have to do some difficult math in your head or by hand, which makes it even harder. She's really nice, but the class was meh.
I got a 5 on AP Calc AB and understood everything perfectly but still got a B+ in the class. The tests are long and it's hard to finish on time, especially when you have to do stuff like take the square root of 700 something without a calculator. If you've never taken calculus before, I would definitely find the class difficult.
She's Amazing at helping you pass and gives a good amount of extra credit
Prof. Hutchison is a kind woman with a good knowledge of what she teaches. She is tremendously friendly and helpful at office hours -- she wants to help you succeed. However, weekly quizzes and tests are very difficult Overall, grading is pretty stingy. If all you're looking for's a Calc. credit, take 140, hands down.
Not a difficult class, and Hutchison is great. Sweet southern lady who has cute grandchildren that may stop by. Lectures can be quite entertaining sometimes, and the math is not very hard.
Had Prof Hutchison for two semester and she is my favorite professor at Vandy. Extremely Personable and always helpful at office hours. If you have not had Cal before, her class will be tough. No calculators and the algebra gets long and difficult. Do all of the homework and BE READY FOR WEEKLY QUIZZES. Work hard and an A is definitely possible.
LOVE LINDA! Great lady with a very personable attitude. Loved her southern stories that somehow relate to math. Sometimes unclear with the problems worked in class-- those problems are often very different from homework. Moves pretty fast also. But as a person, she's brilliant, and there for help if you need it! TAKE IT WITH LINDA!
Linda is the worst because she's so nice and a great professor but way too difficult. I'm pretty good at math (got a 5 on AP Calc AB), and took this class as review and still only got an B-. She is incredibly harsh with her grading so despite the fact that I understood all of the concepts perfectly, I still failed tests.
Nice Lady. But it's a brutal class. I had to study a lot for a B. She will give you some grade boosters in the end though. Math in general is brutal at Vandy. A B from her is completely respectable.
I hated this class. An intro to calc class just shouldn't be this hard, but it's required for HOD majors. Take it because it's the easiest calc class offered, but be prepared to work. I took AP Calc AB senior year and still struggled in this class. Hutchison is super nice in class, but the TA's rarely know anything and she's a tough grader.
Dr. Hutchison is very approachable and great at explaining material, but the structure of the class can make it difficult to bring your grade up if it's low from a test grade. She will expect a lot of effort but will work with you to get where you want to be.
Dr. Hutchison is a sweet lady and a great professor but the class is harshly graded (especially for the easiest math class at Vandy). It brought my GPA down, but there were lots of the sophomores in the class that took it pass/fail and were fine. I studied really hard and went to TA office hours at least twice a week to study and still pulled a B.
Good teacher for this level of math. Understands that most kids won't be pursing math further so she teaches at an appreciated down to earth level. If you took AP Calc in HS this is an easy A, if not you need to work a little more for it but definitely doable
Prof Hutchison is the sweetest Southern woman. It's hard to be upset at her when you get that tough test grade back, and I can promise everyone will. This is an incredibly hard course for an intro Calc course for students not pursing math further. Recommend taking Pass/Fail as a sophomore if you just need one math credit.
I'm not sure how any student could struggle with this course unless they have 0 interest in math. We never got into trigonometric functions and we never even found volume! All in all an easy class with a sweet southern professor who teaches VERY well. Textbook NOT needed, I never did homework, winged every test, including the final, and got a B+.
As someone with prior experience to calculus in high school, I found this course incredibly difficult. The biggest problem I had was with the time requirements for tests/quizzes: 1100 is for non-STEM majors, so I am not sure why she insisted on having us work concisely. Also, calculators are not allowed--making meeting the time requirement harder!
nice professor who is very sweet. class is hard for an intro class but because it is a weedout class not because the teacher is mean or extra hard. not that much work but the tests are hard.
Very sweet professor and tells stories that make it more interesting. She does her best to make math attainable but quizzes and tests are harder than other professors. Not too much work, but tests are a lot harder than homework problems.
You'll do well if you put in the effort. Quizzes are hard only because of time limit (15-20 minutes?). All things on quizzes and tests will be things covered in class (almost the same problems, just different setup), so no surprises. Which means attendance SUPER IMPORTANT! Overall super clear on explaining things and tells funny stories.
Professor Hutchison is actually kind of funny. She tells a lot of side stories in class that makes Calculus a little less boring. This class is known for being the easiest math at Vanderbilt, but I have heard that 1200 is easier in some ways. The tests are very time sensitive and somewhat tough. The final is way harder than any other test.
Prof Hutchison is a pretty good professor. She is very nice and very receptive to questions in class, and if you don't understand a concept she will explain it in a different way with real-world examples until you understand it. The test can be a little hard but doable by all means. You'll also have a quiz every week which range from easy to killer
I took calc before, so I found this class easy. If you haven't taken calc tho, it will be hard because she breezes through each topic. Make sure you study for quizzes because they will be hard. She is a sweet lady and will help you a lot if you go to office hours. She is probably the best 1200 teacher at Vandy
She doesn't care if you've had no previous exposure to calculus and will continue to breeze through all the material. Get ready to put in a lot of hours just to pass, not for a good grade but to just pass. TAs weren't very helpful either. Bad stuff aside she's sometimes funny in lecture.
This class is ridiculously hard. I can studies hours and hours for a test and still fail it. Avoid at all costs.
Worst class I have ever taken. I got a 4 on BC Calc in high school and this is a million times harder. She is very caring and nice, but does not present the material in an easy to follow manner. This class involves lots of work. This is the only C I have ever gotten in college. Prepare to work very very hard but Linda is very nice.
Professor Hutchison is the best. She is very funny and makes a boring subject somewhat interesting. Study hard!!! The quizzes are easy as long as your TA goes over everything right before each one The tests are time sensitive so while studying, make sure you learn the fastest method Go to class she gives small amount of extra credit for attendance
she explains things thoroughly esp if u ask she will make SURE u understand, its not hard at all for non STEM people, just review/do hw when u dont understand a topic
She is so sweet. I can tell she cares about her students so much. Her grading rubric seems to be a little strict, especially for non STEM people. Four unit tests, one final, many quizzes. Her stories also make the lecture less boring. Recommend for HOD core req and pre-med req.
Professor Hutchison is the sweetest lady who loves to tell stories about her life. Material is easily understood if you took a previous calc class in high school. Lots of quizzes and tests but the questions asked are very similar to the ones she goes over in class. Overall she made the course bearable and her lessons were helpful.
Dr. Hutchison is super sweet, and I definitely enjoyed having her as a professor. The reason this course was so difficult for me, I think, is that the exams did not really reflect the homework problems, which I would often spend hours on trying to complete. Tests can also be a time crunch.
I really enjoyed this class with Professor Hutchison. Her lectures are clear and filled with fun short stories every now and then. The guided notes are really helpful for reviewing. There are 4 exams and regular quizzes in discussion. This class is definitely very doable (I took honors calculus in high school). Don't be intimidated!
Yes, Professor Hutchison teaches very quickly and Calc is hard, so this class is difficult. But she is very caring and very great when taking the time explaining in office hours. I really enjoyed having her as a professor and would take her again.
Hutchison is your best choice for 1200/1201. She is a real GEM--funny, sweet, and patient! She wants you to do well in her class. And you will if you go to office hours, disc (bonus points!), and do your hw. Frequent quizzes (not pop) are fairly easy and occasionally open book. Tests are not impossible but difficult w little time to complete them.
I had to write a review because I couldn't BELIEVE there were so many positive reviews about Prof H. Yes, she is a good person. Yes, she cares about her students. But that doesn't make her a good prof! She is terrible at teaching and her examples usually go off on meaningless tangents. Take this class with a grad student when possible!!
She teaches calculus in a way that is understandable to everyone. Go to class and study for exams and you will do well.
gives terrible lectures. doesn't respond to emails. doesn't give enough time on tests. the questions on the test are 10x harder than the ones she gives as examples. 100 % of your grade is based of quizzes and tests. after our first test, she said that "we didn't study enough." (even though the class average was a 65%??? shows how bad she teaches)
She's a friendly lady outside of class, but her lectures are a joke. Her writing is impossible to read unless you are literally sitting at the front of class. At times I couldn't even follow what she was showing us because the handwriting was so terrible. Her exams would be alright if there wasn't such a short time limit which makes them hard
Absolutely awful! Quizzes and exams are impossible to finish with the time she gives. In her office hours, she kept questioning my math background. Exam questions are completely different and more difficult from homework and class questions so there is no chance in preparing. Multiple people withdrew from her this semester. Plus she took out MyLab.
As an online student, I couldnt read the board for 75% of the class. She writes in script that is illegible, and writes using chalk so it smears. She makes mistakes every other problem and wont notice until someone corrects her. Class is graded on quizzes and exams only with very little assistance. Youre going to teach the concepts to yourself.
If you don't have a strong background in math (esp. precalc), don't take this class with her. If you think you do, take this course and it won't be bad. The lectures were marginally helpful, but students are expected to pay attention to them as some of the practice problems dealt with in class are on the tests.
Do all practice problems
I hate her class. She is way too hard on her exams and quizzes you need to be a robot in order to do decent on them. She thinks she is being fair but she isn't and honestly avoid her at ALL COSTS. Worst teacher I've had so far. Makes calculus depressing, no wonder everyone dreads taking it as a prereq.
If you have taken Calculus before this class is so EASY. As long as you do all the homework and study for the exam you will get an A. Annnd you get extra credits for attending discussion classes.
God she's a bad professor
Bad teacher stay away run for the hills run forest run
I loved Hutchison as a person. She is very caring and very nice. She also teaches very well and really does care for her students. However, her tests are hard and there is a massive time crunch to try to finish (grade is 75% tests, 25% quizzes). Maybe this is just the whole math department, but there is no reason for 1201 to have such low grades.
Just don't. do not. not. worth. it.
The fact that this class was allowed to be taught is frankly an embarrassment to the institution that is Vanderbilt. From the first lesson, the lectures were unclear and unorganized, the provided material was limited and littered with mistakes. The prof was clearly disinterested and looking to her retirement. If you value your sanity AVOID@ALL COST
Professor Hutchinson is a funny professor and a wonderful person. I would love to have her as my neighborhood friendly grandmother. But not as a professor. Her handwriting is illegible unless you're sitting in the first 3 rows, and she constantly makes mistakes that she often does not correct, which just confuses you further. Avoid her if you can.
