Wow.....all I can say is that. Class is great, and I HATE DOING WORK and IM LAZY AS ****...But acutally wanted to go to this class. Material is wicked interesting and she shows Simpson clips and is one of the nicest teachers I've ever met. Take this class even if your major has Nothing to do with Psych, U wont regret it

This teacher is amazing! There was interesting material, and she made the boring stuff better. She has plenty of video clips to keep your attention, and none of the work was over bearing at all. Her reviews were helpful and the tests were easy. I got an A and it was easy to do.

such a good class. she shows simpsons clips and lots of other movie clips. she is very very clear. the class was very easy, i hardly studied for any test and got an A. lectures were interesting, not too many bad things i can say about the class.

Awesome class. Amazing professor. Very interesting and she's got a wonderful personality. One of the best psych classes I have ever taken. Totally recommend for a C core class.

I like the professor she is really nice, but i wish the class was smaller. More would come from it. I felt the tests were difficult because it was worded differently than the text on some matters, there are 6 hw assigns and you can drop one so that helps with your grade too. She is a funny engaging lady, and i would reccommend it.

Isbell is a wonderful teacher that truly wants her students to excel. She has homework which can suck but it helps your grade and she drops the lowest one. Her exams are fair, as long as you take the time and study. She provides a binder (you can buy) that has an outline fo notes which really help. She has cool class activities and videos.

Prof. Isbell is AMAZING! She's the best Psych prof. I've taken thus far. There's 6 HW sheets to do but she drops the lowest HW grade. Exams are 40 MC and involves both lecture notes/videos and textbook related questions. It's hard NOT to come to class because it's that interesting.

AWESOME PROFESSOR! Crystal clear explanations. Multiple choice exams. Can buy supplemental class notes (very helpful & highly recommended!) Gives good examples, lots of helpful video clips, fun activities. Gives you study guides for the exam which cover everything. Never have to do readings except for parts that she tells you will be on exam.

Really good teacher. Lectures really make the material easy to understand. The course packets she have make note taking a lot easier and more efficient. Definitely recommend taking this class

This class is great. The subject is very interesting and Prof Isbell explains things clearly and uses good examples. Definitely go to class. It makes the material easier to understand. The exams are very fair, especially if you study the course packet and take good notes.

Social Psych is an awesome class! I bought and used the International copy of the McGraw Hill textbook, Social Psychology by Stephen L. Franzoi (the 5th edition). She's so laidback and funny and interactive! Great class! Very easy. Very helpful professor and TAs. Lectures only, no discussions. Take this class!

TAKE THIS CLASS! She's funny, gives out extra credit, gives you candy, etc. Her lectures are never really boring and she has a lot of activities to make you really understand the material. Awesome teacher!

She's such a sweet heart and gives a lot of real life examples on the different topics, so it's interesting. Must study hard for the exams, but she gives a lot of opportunities for in class activities.

Professor Isbell is a great teacher who always keep her lectures interesting. Between activities, videos, lecturing and real world examples you are really able to grasp the material. Concepts are not particularly difficult but as she says social psych is not commonsense. She mentioned she is teaching 360 again next fall. Wait and take it with her.

Very good professor, easy, minimal use of the book, she is very funny and likes to show a lot of videos. One of my favorite classes last semester.

Uses real life examples (that are usually funny) and gets you to do in-class activities that are fun and easy. The tests are easy because she teaches the material really well - you will find you have retained a lot of the information and so you cut down your studying time immensely. Take Psych 360 with her!

Really Good Prof. Required to buy Course Packet w/ activities and skeleton notes. Has you do in-class activities sometimes and A LOT of her 45 multiple-choice question tests talk about studies discussed in class. 3 non-cumulative tests and 1 optional final if you do badly on one of the 3 tests. Take this class with her!

Great professor, interest is solely in benefiting her students. Four test, optional final, minimal textbook use.

Linda is so sweet and makes lecture so interesting! She uses various interactive methods to help us understand the info better. You still have to study and attend class to do well. But they're not as bad if you pay attention.

LOVE ISBELL. You have to take the class with her. Easy and interesting class with videos and she's a funny woman. Tests are straightforward; easy if you go to class and briefly look over your class notes before. No need for textbook.

Really good, very easy class. Gives in-class activities for credit and tests you on concepts spoken of only in class. Need to read textbook too. If you go to class, read textbook, and study a bit, the class is SO easy. 4 exams, optional final, 4% extra credit available.

Such a good class! Textbook usage is minimal, but definitely get her Notes Booklet, its super helpful. The class is so entertaining, and very interesting!

Prof. Isbell is the most organized professor I've ever had! She uses power point slides which are outlined in her notes booklet and activities designed to allow the students to experience the concepts she is teaching. It is a fabulous idea which makes remembering each concept for the exam very easy.

Extremely organized and thorough with the material. 3 exams and an optional final. Also gives in class assignments which are interesting and worth some easy points. The exams are mostly from the packet of notes you get for the class along with the lecture material. A very detailed review sheet.. definitely do these! Recommend her!!

I absolutely love Professor Isbell! I was actually sad whenever something came up and I had to miss her class. She's such a friendly, funny and interesting person to listen to. Her lectures are never boring. This was by far my favorite class this semester and I would definitely recommend taking a class with her!

Linda is a great professor! She really cares about her students and is always willing to answer questions. She does her best to make the class interesting and likes to interact/provide real world exams. The exams are easy. I strongly recommend her class.

Professor Isbell was in a word, fantastic. Each class used clips, examples, and solid explanations to make the material clear. Always working with students to better the course, offers great review sessions through the TA staff. Definitely try to take this course with her over anyone else!

Isbell is fantastic. I took the class with her and the TA'ed the same class with another professor and I can say that BY FAR Isbell's class was a much better experience. She is enthusiastic and class is so interesting. Tests are straightforward and review sessions helpful. I highly recommend taking her class.

GREAT professor. She makes the lectures worth going to at 9:30am and the class time flys by. Exams are straightforward if you do her review sheets but definitely require some studying in order to get an A. She uses great class examples to help you conceptualize the material. Highly recommend taking it with her!

She is extremely organized and used a packet that guides you through the lectures. Review sheets are extremely helpful and make the exam straightforward. You will need to study but it is manageable. Highly recommended.

Loved this class! Very interactive even though its in a lecture. The activities are fun to do and discuss. Easy to follow along with her teaching style if you buy the notes to fill in. The exams are tricky because they are multiple choice and a lot of the answers are similar to each other.

Professor Isbell is the one. 360 is one of my most favourite classes! Her lectures are clear, she uses funny clips as examples. In-class activities are really fun (and she has a great sense of humour too!) Exams can be tricky but not hard, do some study and follow the review sheet and you'll be fine. Definitely recommended.

Professor Isbell gives the class the notes to work out of for lectures and is specific on what textbook pages she wants. This class was an easy A. The final is optional as long as you do well on the first 3 exams.

This is what I think all professors and classes should be like. Lectures were interesting and there was a course packet that followed them directly (sucks you have to pay for it but it really does help). No papers or projects just short feedback assignments and pretty average exams. Definitely take this class.

One of the most interesting classes at Umass. She made going to class worthwhile and everything you learn is relatable. Exams require some studying but if you put in the effort it is easy to get an A.

She's an amazing professor and makes the class so much fun. Awesome video clips/examples. Lots of opportunities for SONA extra credit to boost your grade. Tests are easy if you study (optional final). There's a course packet that you use for in class assignments so attendance is mandatory but so worth it. Definitely recommend.

She's an amazing professor! You need to go to class, but it's worth it. Prof Isbell is incredibly sweet and knowledgable. Definitely take this class with her if you can.

Professor Isbell is easily one of my favorite professors I have ever had. She has a true passion for social psychology and always incorporates activities from our class to thoroughly explain the topics we are covering. Not a lot of homework, but you should go to lecture.

This class was truly amazing and Professor Isbell is one of the coolest professors I have ever had. There is an optional final that replaces your lowest test grade so that's really helpful. I learned a lot and I would recommend this class to anyone.

AMAZING class, Professor Isbell is wonderful! Despite it being a large lecture she learns students' names and makes you feel included. Activities are fun and interesting and the class doesn't just revolve around the powerpoint. Easy and predictable, but does involve a fair amount of studying. Overall great class!

Prof Isbell is AMAZING. Her lectures are entertaining and interactive - I actually looked forward to them. She explains material really well and is always transparent about what's on her exams. You definitely need to go to class though, because she doesn't post her slides. If you go to class and do the question packets, the exams should be easy.

Professor Isbell is a great lecturer, and social psychology is so interesting and applicable to everyday life! This course was more difficult than I expected it to be, but it is still relatively easy and definitely fair. Very interactive class, as there are lots of in class activities and "experiments" that she uses to teach the concepts

Prof Isbell is both inspiring and motivating. Attendance is required, but she will keep you entertained. I truly felt like she cared about me.

She gave great lectures and had a very straight forward way of explaining things. Great elective to take if your looking for an easy A but you also want to actually learn something.

Material was very easy to understand, definitely helps to talk through the concepts with a friend! Lectures were really interesting & she always tries to involve the class with activities. Didn't really need the (online) textbook except when reviewing for exams. 3 exams & an optional final- easy if you go to review sessions & do the review sheets<3

Grades a lot heavier than other professors. Will take off points for small things. Definitely have to answer the question and more to get an A on the assignments.
