Professor Jarrell is really nice but you must have a strong algebra background to excel.
Yes, her voice is odd, but if you have test anxiety, her practice tests will take most of the pain away. Ms. Jarrell is always available in the lab for tutoring and may give you more time and info than you bargained for. I will pay to take her again.

She was a boring but incredibly easy!! Just study her practice tests and you will ace everything. She is always in the math lab if you are stuck. Her voice was annoying but if you get over it and focus on the class its a peice of cake!!

WARNING!Do not take Mrs. Jarell! Over the summer more then 10 kids in the class had to go back and get there grades changed b/c she is a complete idiot and messed up on all of our grades! For a math teacher you would think she would be able to add but she can't even do that!! My advice stay away b/c she says its her way or the highway!

I love Mrs. Jarrell. SHE is awesome. So nice, great professor. Very helpful, and understanding. Show up for class, do your homework. The practice tests, are pretty much just like the tests she gives. study practice tests and you'll do just fine. Might put you to sleep with her voice though, but she really does ROCK YAAAAAYAAA

took her for precalculus easy A, but for trig was not so easy. She still gives parctice test that are much like her actual test. Her tone of voice is boring, so if you do not like boring teachers dont take her. she is overall fair, but dont let anyone in your class piss her off because she takes it out on the whole class. i would take her for pre
took her before. Her grading was strange this time. counted things wrong when the book said otherwise. got a B, so did everyone I know. Don't make her mad, don't be late, don't talk and you'll be fine. practice tests, don't solely rely on them. similar to tests, but she marked answers wrong that were exactly the same on the practice test. ????
Very helpful and makes a hard subject a little easier. Actually alot easier. But don't abuse this, just make sure you learn it and not take advantage of her very good intentions, otherwise a)you WON'T learn, and b)this will backfire on you when she grades - she knows who you are and SHE is the Great White waiting to eat you alive....

This teacher is okay. She is not hard and she gives you ample opportunities to study for tests. The only thing about her is her annoying voice and she likes to rubb in the fact that someone had to take this course 3 times and YOU NEED TO PASS THIS CLASS!!
she was difficult. was told to take her by a friend. give practice test which is basically real test just different numbers. kinda helpful but she goes over material too quick, and rubs it in that someone had to take the class 3 times and how stupid they are over & over & over again!
she had easy practice test and her test were ok. but you should study at the end the log rythms. she has annoying voice and she repeats about how you can fail and take it three times. if you want to understand math don't take her if you want a quick grade take her.

Her voice is awful. I didn't pay attention to any of the notes, but the pract test are EXACTLY like the real test, except diff numbers in the problems, so memorize them and you'll pass with an A or B. There is homework but she doesnt almost all of it with u in class. I do recommend.
This was one of the worst college experiences I have had yet. She has a very dull, boring voice and an even more boring southern accent. She is the stereotypical 'boring' teacher in the teen movies. It is very hard to follow what she is saying simply because of the way she speaks and carries herself. Also, TONS of homework.

I found her lectures hard to endure. She stands in front of class and repeats her powerpoint presentation exactly. Her voice and accent are hard to overlook for the clarity of what she's saying. Every bit of homework counts!
MRS JARRELL IS A GOOD TEACHER. SHE TEACHS STRAIGHT FROM HER POWER POINT BUT HER VOICE IS ANNOYING. EVEN IF YOU IGNORE HER LECTURES AND STUDY THE NOTES AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK YOU SHOULD STILL PASS THE CLASS. HER TEST ARE EXACTLY LIKE THE PRACTICE TEST SO DO THE PRACTICE TEST AND YOU SHOULD DO FINE ON THE TEST.
Great teacher. She will often be in the math lab and is willing to work with students. If students find themselves in a pickle, they should talk to her and explain the trouble. She is very lenient and will work with them to help them get back on track. Just like any math course, in order to do well, one needs to attend class and do the work.
Great Woman, you can bearly understand her IN CLASS, but she's ALWAYS at the lab and is willing to help you through your work. My sugestion, get a few friends in your class and go to the lab before or after class and study. Best way to pass. She's really easy and gives a review before each test, you just have to study.

AWFUL!!! LEO THE LION GRRRR, I kicked myself out of her class, she looks like Dan Akroid when he plays the judge in valkenvania in the move nothing but trouble. CRAZY, LOOONEY...she said that she is leo the lion and must be in total control at all times....she needs a pill.

Ms. Jarrell is a very sweet lady. She is very positve and smart. She is always in the lab and wanting to help. She always has a smile on her face.
Excellent instructor! She knows her stuff. Math is not one of my strong points but I got an A in her class, thanks to her style of teaching. I would take another one of her math classes in a heart-beat. I learned a lot. She even goes through the homework with you in class. A must take instructor!!
This professor has a very funny (sometimes annoying) sounding voice. Don't be put off by the voice, the format is easy for a good grade. The one neg.= she does not teach well in class, she uses powerpoint slides for everything and prints all of them for you. Too many tests, including ****. final but you can use formula sheets on all. I got an eazy A
This lady is a Horrible teacher! She's incredably smart, she knows what she's doing, and she loves to help. You just have to be willing to Ask for it. She's always in the lab. If you don't go to the lab, you may not pass.

If you struggle at all at Math, dont take her class. Math is my hardest subject and I regret every day that i signed up for her class. Just remember, IF YOU STRUGGLE AT ALL DONT TAKE HER CLASS. SHE IS HORRIBLE.
It takes much effort to fail Mrs. Jarrell's class. It's too obvious that she wants her students to to well. Mind you, like Frank Sinatra she wants it done "her way." If you meet that pre-requisite an "A" is inevitable.
one word for teacher Awesome i came from professor's browns prep course and did excellent the key in anything you do is to study! who ever left those bad comments about ms. Jarelle didn't study but put in the time and it's almost impossible to fail i will reccommednd ms. Jarralle to anyone.
You do most homework in class and the practice tests are just like the tests, which are very easy. The only catch is that she is hard to follow and understand. SI sessions are a must. If you have time to go to the lab, take this class.
This Teacher flips through powerpoints and does not really give any instruction on the material. Her teaching tools are quizes that she hands out and wants you to take home but gives you the answers for them before you leave class. They do not aid in the learning process. This teacher was really disapointment to me. If you choose her, good luck.
I enjoyed her teaching, very unique lady. Do not be late, she doesn't like that, but im horrible at math and i passed with an A , bc i took her notes and studied and went to the math lab and she helped me. she's a funny lady.
Great teacher. Sit up front, she's hard to hear otherwise. Answer her when she asks questions, don't talk if she doesn't. Don't leave in the middle of class, show up on time, etc. All homework and quizzes are done in class, she works all the problems out on the board. The practice tests are almost identical to the tests. easy if you pay attention.

She raved for 30 min about the way she was a "Leo" and would catch all the cheaters in the class. She would pass out Quizzes and give the answer solution, so she would actually promote the cheating. She is crazy, she does not care about the students or teaching the material. She would sit at her desk and read the material instead of working it out.
Very good professor. She's somewhat helpful but prefer you go to the math lab instead of helping you in class after she already went over a question. She didn't use the book, and gets annoyed if you are late. Overall, she's a good professor, easy A.
If you are looking for an easy grade, she's simple. Gives you practice tests which are pretty much on the real test. Doesn't like to answer questions, sit up front if you want to hear her. If you ask a question she answers with a nod or shake of her head or she just rattles it off on the board with no verbal backup.
Don't listen to the idiots that say she bad obiviously she failed and the ones talking about cheating maybe they cheated she is awesome, it doesn't get any better than that she gives practice test, does homework in class you hve to be really stupid to fail, she's awesome this is my fifth math course with her trust me i know good quality.
Easy class, difficult professor. Practice tests and quizzes make the actual tests easy; however, don't expect to have your questions answered. If you need the class, try to find another professor. If not, take her in a pinch.

Please do not listen to the people saying she is bad. Professor Jarrell is by far the best professor I have ever had. I am an A honor student. Her class is not bad and her test is identical to the practice test I wish other professors were like her. LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Professor Jarrell is the best professor at pga. She is a math genious. She may be hard to understand but she is a sweet lady. I love this lady and I will be taking survey of calcu with her next trimester.
Horrible Professor. Spent the whole semester complaining about her in-laws & making fun of prior students and the "stupid questions they ask". If you ask a question about a problem, she talks to you like you're a child. If she made a mistake on a problem, she didn't fix it, just said "you get the idea" and would move on. I don't recommend her!!
This professor does a good job teaching. She always have a full class,she recommends math lab for better understanding. You can get a A in this class if you pay attention and do your assignments.
She sits in her chair and screeches about how to do the hw. Only I wouldnt consider it how to because she just workes the problem out. Dont ask a question or she makes you sound dumb. If you are good at math take her cuz she gives out practice tests and you wont need her help anyway. if you arnt good at math good luck, and dont take jarrel!
If you fail her class your extremly lazy. Best math teacher ever! Gives quizes for a grade but she does them with you on the board, homework is considered ex credit and she gives practice tests that are just like the test!Make a good grade and you can choose to skip the final! Her combination is great, not only is it easy but you actually learn.
Not only is she a great teacher but if you don't get it and need additional help she is available in the math lab! She likes to see you try and show up for class. If your going to be lazy don't expect much from her, but try, and she will be there for you 100%. She also has a wonderful student instructor for most of her classes if you like reviews
If you can teach yourself, and don't mind wasting your time, this class is an easy A. Shes is very clear on what you need to know, and the tests are very easy. but she doesn't know how to teach, she drones on and on... its physically painful to listen to... at this point i just sleep though the class and teach myself the work afterwords.
Definitely one of the best math teachers I have taken, she likes to complain about previous classes and is funny but makes the test easy by letting you bring a formula sheet for the exam. I would definitely recommend her if you want to pass math, just makes sure to come to class and do the work and you will do well!
She is not a great teacher to me but she is very helpful as far as doing all the quizzes, practice tests in class and the exams are very similar to the practice tests.If you do do all homeworks and quizzes you will get 80 EASY pts So if you study the quizzes you will get an easy A or B for the class.And you can choose to do the final or not..
She wants to mean well I think, but she's been very harsh towards her students this summer. It's a very quick 6 week summer class and for the students falling behind she has no tolerance, which is unfortunate because she tries to embarass them in class. SHe is a good professor though, her methods are great and very helpful. She knows her stuff.

I wouldn't recommend her to my friends. I admit she's a smart woman, she just lacks the ability to teach well. She read off the book most of the time and would stand in front of her work when she did examples on the board as if she were teaching herself. She's also condescending when it came to answering questions. Thank the stars for the math lab.
Do not take her if you can help it. She is absolelutely horrible. She spends a lot of time make wack jokes & telling stories than actually teaching you something. SHE IS AN EXCELLENT TEACH. I HAD HER FOR STATIS LAST SEMESTER AND SHE HELPED US ON SOME TEST AND THE QUIZES ARE DUE AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER AND HOMEWORK IS OPTIONAL

Her class is definitely not going to be easy if you don't enjoy math or understand it. She moves very fast and expects that you remember everything from high school. She's a nice lady outside of the classroom but inside, she expects you to be on the same level as her, a college professor. Don't take her if math isn't your strong subject.

Good teacher and very easy as long as you go to each class and go to the math lab. This is my second time taking statistics and after having Scott Carter, I would highly recommend her for statistics. Remember, no teacher can teach the avg person this class without you putting in your part and studying the text book, going to the math lab, or both.
this professor is horrible! so unclear and confusing while teaching. i had to teach myself and go to the math lab without doing that you will fail. she's rude at times and if asked a question she doesn't always reply. only good thing is she gives a study review for each test and its extra credit! the study review will be identical to the test.

if you can study by yourself do it. It's an easy class if you have time to spend at the math lab. Her test are almost the same than the practice test. If you can't go to the math tutors you shouldn't take her. every practice test is +5 extra credit.
Ms. Jarrell is ok at best but I would not take her again. She is a tough grader and has hard tests. She expects you to be on her level. She writes all over the board and is very unclear with how she teaches and will very easily confuse you. She will get mad if you ask her a question that she thinks is too easy.
