Very helpful, offers the most opportunities for extra credit, offers makeup for assignmensts missed, very easy to talk to, understanding, Mott needs more professors like her.
She expects you to put forth your best effort, and she will do all she can to help you to succeed. She is no pushover...If you don't do the work, you deserve to fail. She is kind, nice, and understanding, but tells it like it is. I like her very much.
She is a great teacher, very understanding and helpful. She expects you to read and do your best at all times.
Gives great opportunities for extra credit. Very understanding if you keep in contact with her. She is willing to work with you if you work with her. Always has some interesting comments.
Great teacher. I've actually had her for a few courses now and have never had any problems with her teaching style or choice of coursework.
she wasd alright but i hated the discution board
very patient, very helpful, very accessible, very interested in students' succeeding
Great instructor. Will go over the material a million times to make sure that you understand. She is very patient and really wants us to learn.

She will help at anytime and is very understandable.

She is a great professor and a very nice person. I really enjoy her classes.
This is the 5th or 6th class I've had with Massoud, all distance learning. She is a nice lady and is pretty fair and understanding. Be prepaired for a slight increase in workload in her classes compared to others at Mott.
She was a very nice teacher. She was very understanding and helped you to try and think for yourself.
I had her for some difficult classes, like Systems Admin and design. She makes it interesting and does her best to make sure everyone understands whats going on.
She seems like a nice lady, but her class is THE MOST ANNOYING! It's an intro computer class, required for my degree. She doesn't want to lecture, so we're in groups, and doing essay after essay, to "practice" for her big essay tests. This isn't WAC, she just wants to "help" us, practice essay skills! NOTHING like what I signed on, kindergarten!
Great teacher, thanks alot!
I was looking for a computer class to take not an essay class.
o.k. she's nice i'll give her that. but this teacher is very over Overbearing I know three students who have transfered to u of m just for the classes she teaches so they can avoid her.
This class was one of my better classes at Mott; you are able to earn a good grade in her class. My class was an OE class and I thought it was great. Some of the material was unclear, but for the most part the class was good.
She was one of the best teachers that I have had at Mott so far. She is very understanding and very helpful. She loves to see people succeed.
Mrs. Massoud was the best professor I've had thus far in college. She returned phones calls in a very timely manner and was very helpful with all she could be. I would take the class over again just to have her as an instructor again!!
Mrs. Massoud is very witty and knowldegeable. she loves to talk.
Linda is a wonderful person who goes out of her way to accommodate, help, and (most importantly) educate her students. We were encouraged to attend class, yet could do our assignments at home. She was a blessing and I would recommend anyone (especially the computer illiterate) to take her class. Linda, thanks for a memorable experience.
Had a great time in her class, she was very helpful in her teaching.
Expectations and course were unclear, and professor was Very rude when you ask questions.
pretty straight foreward, good teacher.
I took many classes with her ranging from the basic cis class and 154 (OE), to c++ and the systems development one. All in all a good teacher.
If you are a dedicated student you won't find a more dedicated instructor. She'll do everything possible to help you succeed! Thank for a great fall 2007.
Very helpfull class.I learned alot and the set up of the work was a great thought out process. We incorporated a science project into learning Microsoft Office and I found it fun and informative.I would reccomend her to those students who are like me and are in college to actually learn. She gives time to tun in work and easy to get in contact with.
Very fun!
Very enthusiastic. I took an easy comp. class so it was hard to follow along. If you don't know much about comp. DEFF take her because she goes through everything STEP by STEP with you. If you know alot about comp. you can def. take her. Just go ahead of her and then you can skip a few classes when they are working on the stuff you've done already
Her instructions are very hard to follow, but she responds to her e-maols from students with lightning speed. Don't get behind, because she is ruthless about that, even in the Dis. Learning, when you are supposed to be able to do it in your own time, she doesn't give you the full week at midterms, wednesday is the cut off, so do her homework 1st!
Very nice person. Class was rather easy, though I wasn't interested in learning Vista at all. I highly recommend this professor.
Ms. Massoud is a very very nice lady. I am in her Vista class and I already know Vista but had to take it. She is very helpful and there is no reason you should not get an A or B with her. She gives you every opportunity to earn a good grade. I wish there were more people in the world like her. She restored my faith in human beings.
She was very nice. Was very willing to answer questions.
Mrs.Massoud was great! She explains everything slowly, clearly, and she follows the book exactly! It's nice to buy a book and open it more than once during the semester. Before this class I was fluent with the internet and typing a basic paper. It was fun to learn a little bit about everything:excel, power point,&file management. anyone could take t
I have been avoiding computers for years and my goal was to stop being intimidated by them. She succeded in making me feel more comfortable in using a computer. Very good teacher to have teaching this class.
Extremely nice teacher. Very organized. Easy to understand syllabus. Great feedback. Gives you every opportunity to pass class and control your grade. Always let you know where you stand in class. Great teacher!
Very helpful instructor! Tests and assignments were explained in detail. TAKE THIS INSTRUCTOR-YOU WON'T REGRET:)
Thank you Mrs. Massoud for making me feel more confident in using the computer. I did not have much education before in these programs for my job, but now I feel like I can tackle anything the boss gives me!!!Thanks yo so MUCH!!!
I loved this class, and the teacher was very helpful. She was very understanding when I had to miss class as long as I emailed her and told her I wasn't going to be there. By far my favorite class.
She is very nice, and very easy to approach.
LOVED THIS CLASS! Mrs. Massoud gave me the confidence I needed to be able to help myself as well as others. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this class!
This teacher is very helpful and always there when needed. clarifies anything that you ask, and is very fair on grading. constantly reminds you of deadlines which is FANTASTIC! you get the grade you try for. the hardest thing about the course is that it is a weekly thing unless you go ahead of schedule (which isnt hard at all.)
She was very kind, approachable, and helpful! :)
Mrs. Massoud has passion when teaching. She is a teacher passionate about programming, can you believe it? She is always helpful and very clear. If I could have only one teacher for every class I would choose Mrs. Massoud.
I have never had a teacher who cared so much about your education and not in a over demanding mean way shes kind compasionate, she really cares, she makes little you tube videos to help you get thru everything, she wrks on hmwrk n the class and will do anything to help you! this teach is more than a 10
She defin. does not know C++ or any type of programming at all. Spend time on flow chart and not codding. She can't debug any code we write. You must follow her samples bcz she can't read code. Worst intro instructor for programming. Avoid her is you can, you won't learn anything.
Quick response to email response.84
Massoud a great teacher not a programmer. That said knows the material & makes every effort provide you with resources to succeed. You'll have to learn on your own some but as adults we need take responsibility for your grade all the bad bad rating for her I can tell you where from students who want their hand held and to be spoon fed information.
I Love Her !
Linda works very hard and is a great teacher if she know the material, general computer courses very weak programmer at best. She got confused in advanced C++ on a regular basis. Hopefully Mott will hire a programmer for that class. She means well but how can anyone learn from someone who doesn't have a mastery of the subject themselves.
I would also add: Would take Action, Clear Grading Criteria, Hilarious, Participation Matters, Get Ready to Read
I thoroughly enjoyed this class. I was already familiar with Microsoft Office but, not proficient when I began. I would definitely recommend this class and Professor Massoud! Even though this was an online class for me she was very helpful and excellent at responding to emails (and checking up on me when I'd forgotten to check in that week).
Great professor, very helpful but also very dependent on blackboard. Uses same shell for online as she does in class. Always helpful and answers questions when you have them.
Greatness in teaching is just as rare as greatness in medicine, dance, law, or any other profession. Mrs. Linda Massoud has knowledge of discipline and classroom management techniques; and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people. Great attitude towards others.
Although I learned allot , there was too much work and it ws extremely time consuming. Sometimes confusing . She is a very nice lady.
She was a wonderful teacher, just some assignments were confusing and very time consuming to get done on time, overall she is a good teacher.
Mrs. Massoud was a great professor! Quick response to all emails and very friendly. She grades very fairly and always willing to help. Highly recommend!
Honestly I only took this course because I needed one more credit for the semester. I am so happy that I took this course with Ms. Massoud I love how she prepared our work and presented it to the class. She was funny and very helpful. You could tell that she took time out to prepare her work for her students and that this is more than a job to her.
There are a ton of great how-to videos, and Mrs. Massoud is very helpful. She grades assignments in a very timely fashion, and gives feed back on the assignments. I wouldn't hesitate to take another one of her classes.
Urging students to take the class online. dont waste your time and the book is free if you download the amazon textbook as a free trial and remove the DRM (saved ya 200$ congrats)
she is helpful and quick to respond to emails. She truly cares. That being said sometimes the assignments are confusing. She lays out what she wants clearly but getting there is a task. She does have step by step videos showing but it's time consuming to watch. It'll give you a good grade though! BEWARE OF ACCESS. You have to come to campus to do.
Being that I was a layman in the technology field Professor Massoud was a "GOD send" when it came to guiding me through the needed information and how to administer my comprehension abilities to become more abreast of computer usage in general. I would definitely take another class taught by her if necessary.
She is a very good teacher. She is willing to help students, also she asks students to help others.
If you take the class online be prepared to not understand what is going on!
Mrs. Massoud, unlike the other computer instructors, turns her computer class into writing class. You are expected to write multiple, researched and sourced, 3-5 page papers, with full bibliographies, footnotes, etc. If you get enough paper writing in ENGL, and PSYC, etc., then don't take Mrs. Massoud for your computer class!
She shouldn't be teaching this class. There is very little hands-on computer work, so not a lot is learned about computers. Instead, you'll spend your time on her pet projects, which include writing about your life goals and community service efforts, and learning how to find books in the library. Ridiculous, waste of time, joke of an instructor.
I took this class online while working full time. It's not a lot of hard concepts, but there is so much to do for it that it is unnecessary. I'm taking this class just for credit to transfer, so if you're looking to save money buying the book isn't necessary if you just care about passing to receive credit at a different institution.
Linda helped me out with a grading jam that would have prevented me from graduating. The class was also well organized and included YouTube videos which she narrated to show students how to complete the various tasks. Great professor.
Mrs. Massoud is a very nice teacher, definitely has a passion for teaching. However during the entire semester I felt like I was in a high school English class all over again. I also felt like she treated us like we were in elementary school. I learned very little information pertaining to the subject that this class was suppose to teach.
I love being in your class. I hope before I finish my degree I have you again.
I was somewhat confused, but I still managed to pass with a 4.0. I felt she is the type of teacher that gives you an assignment and the instructions are all over the place. She constantly change due dates and pointimes scale. I really don't feel confident that I learned anything in that class.
Wonderful teacher who really loves to teach! I had an online class and it was super easy as long as you do the work, there is always chances for extra credit and she spells out exactly what she wants for each assignment, there is no way anyone should not be able to get a 4.0 in her class. Hoping to have her again before a graduate
If you want to learn anything about the subject that she is supposed to teach then tough! She has no concept of the subjects at hand and tries to teach you everything but what you are paying to be taught. This class might as well be an OE class because you are left to learn all the work on your own. If you want to learn life skills then take her.
Professor's background is in business and law, she is not qualified to be teaching IT courses. You really don't learn anything by going to class as most of the classwork involves just flipping through the book to see who can find the section on a certain subject first. Course is a waste of time and money and I would never take this professor again
She is a very nice lady. She does tend to over explain things and that makes the course kind of confusing because there is so much information packed into each lesson she is teaching. That is really my only complaint. She gives plenty of extra credit you just need to make sure you are reading your instructions for everything very thoroughly.
Tries too hard to be cool/funny. Made even the simplest assignments confusing and turning in any assignment is a complicated process. Feel that the course should have been easier than she made it, will not take a class with her again.
Linda Lee was probably the best professor I have ever had. She is very clear on expectations, grades, and made a ton of videos, which has helped me along the way. All the assignments were super easy. The only thing I did not like is the way she set up the course online (as I took it out of the classroom). It just seemed unorganized.
Has no idea about what she is doing half the time, is unclear and very confusing.
Doesn't know much about the course she is teaching. Makes questionable racial comments. Makes everything much more confusing than it should be. Clearly unprepared to teach this course.
She is very confusing in most areas. Assignment instructions, grading criteria, and even class announcements. Is available for help, but comes across extremely condescending in responses. Sends WAY to many non relevant emails, clogging up your inbox. Would not take her again, way to confusing and did not come across nicely.
Unclear assignment instructions. I didn't like the semester-long "group" project that consisted of multiple essays and a PowerPoint. Easy enough to approach, but she can come off as condescending. In one of her intro videos, she said something like, "You're not in high school anymore." It's a community college - plenty of older students here.
Excellent instructor who really cares about what she does. You can tell she takes teaching seriously and that she cares if her students learn. She provides you the opportunity to work ahead on projects and gives extra credit opportunities. If you try you will pass her class.
She isn't that great of a teacher. She refused to help when you asked and would always tell you to get a tutor. You can tell she's passionate and loves what she does but bottom line she just isn't goo at teaching.
I had Mrs. Massoud for computers 153 class! She was very good!! She loves her job and is always willing to help! Very friendly and really cares about her students!! I just love her!! Her personality is the best!! Always made me laugh!!! Thanks Linda for making computer class fun!!! Xoxo!
Okay, where do I start? She is very passionate about teaching and is very knowledgeable about the course that she is teaching. I actually would call my self somewhat computer savvy and I learned a lot. What I didnt like was that she treated the class like it was HS. Couldnt wear hats, somewhat confusing work, and treated you not like an adult.
Too many tasks, assignments and deadlines, instructions confusing and hard to find.
I took COMG with her online and it was probably the easiest class i'll ever take in college. You just have to log on once a week for attendance and she lets you work ahead. Super easy A as long as you do your work(I fell behind and still got a B+). She grades and responds to you very quickly.
Overall, this class was easier, and I liked that I could work at my own pace but a lot of directions were hard to understand.
She is a very understanding individual, who loves her job. The only issue I really had was her teaching style. Requires tons of instructions, some questions on quizzes are unclear or have unnecessary amounts of information added making the questions confusing at times, also has A LOT of work needed to be done in order to pass...
Work is very difficult to understand, she will direct you to a tutor instead of helping with actual assignment. I think she's clueless of what she's teaching too. She will answer her phone and zoom as much as she could but still was no help because she make you feel stupid for not understanding her instructions that's all over the place.
Get ready for 5-6 sets of directions for every assignment. You will get lost in the instructions and never really understand what youre doing til the very end
For this class, I went in with an open mind despite some of the reviews I had seen but... I have truly in all of my college days never done so bad in a class. For some reason the way that she taught made me more confused than when I started the assignment, and I've always been good with computers.
Literally made it almost impossible to turn in assignments. I had a death through the classes and minimal break for that. And at the end of the class i check my grade and it was well below what it was earlier that day and i had all my assignments in.
This class required a lot of assignments and instructions, and gave very confusing directions. She seemed to mark down for many things and required extra projects that didn't necessarily relate to learning computers. Coursework heavy. Even though extra credit, trying to get everything in the way she requires takes a lot of work.
More of a english class and less than a computer class, All it was for computers was small quizzes then massive english papers that she wanted perfect, and if it wasn't perfect then you got a bad grade or she wouldn't even grade it. was very disappointed because a lot of it was nothing to do with computers lol
She is horribly unprofessional. Expect a ton of emails about completely random topics. Her instructions are vague and sometimes you have to dig through three sets of links to get to what you need to know. Lots of busywork that is unrelated to Excel. I learned more about memos than I did Excel in this class. The quizzes are intentionaly misleading.
This professor was terrible. She gives so many assignments that seem to have nothing to do with actually learning about computers. This professor will also flood you with nonsense emails at any point she gets. Pointless class and horrible instructions that make no sense at all. 0/10
I feel bad for being ageist, but she is too old to be in computer science. A lot of 'fluff' instructions designed for the elderly or children is added to make up for the lack of content.
i feel like im in elementary school again
Mrs. Massoud is a great teacher who really cares. There are a lot of emails (which is nicer than many of my other teachers who do not communicate at all) and instructions are pretty simple. To complain about that fails to recognize this class has been designed for all learning levels. My only complaint is too many Memos in an Excel class.
It is abundantly clear that Mrs. Massoud is passionate about what she does. I have never had a more thorough and caring professor than her. She provides instructions for assignments in both written & video formats, & is available for any questions. She provides ample opportunity to earn extra credit and sometimes alternate assignments if needed.
Professor Massoud runs a structured class, but with some confusing instructions. Thankfully, tools like unstuck study made studying and assignment prep a breeze. Overall, a challenging but rewarding experience.
Professors instructions are extremely confusing. When asked about them she didn't answer clearly, only responded with “get a tutor”. Which I had to do to pass this class. 0/10 would recommend. Hardest class I've ever taken due to poor instructions.
