She is a great human being. The class is a little boring b/c its only lectures, but you learn a lot. There isnt nightly h/w, once a month you have to write a 500 word paper at home, she has you look up a topic online and write about what you learned, its so easy. I DO recommend. its an easy B class. GET STUDY GUIDE BOOK that is not required.

Interesting class, you learn a lot. It can get boring at times. Tests are medium. There are 500 word writing assignments which are annoying to write, but she gives pretty good grades on. She is a fun and crazy lady. Overall, its a pretty good class.

Her papers were very annoying but they wernt too hard. Smart and who knows her stuff but slightly boring. Class got better at the end because the subject became more practical (ie:signs of child abuse) She is pretty helpful. Will help you out with your grade if you put forth the effort. Excellent instructor and very interesting person. Get the Study Guide! If you show up, do the assignments and read the chapters, you will do good in the class. It was great to go to class, learn and even laugh sometimes. If you don't take Lotz's class, you're crazy.

I took this class online and this teacher def gets an A+ for COMMUNICATION and HELPFULNESS. Very CLEAR on what is expected so READ the material and participate and you will do well w/o a doubt. I took marriage and family online with her and it was great. She is such a nice teacher and very helpful. Make sure you have the study guide for the tests! The only negative thing I can say about her is that some of the test questions are found in different chapters then assigned, so if you can't find an answer, look elsewhere in the book.

Dr. Lotz is a great teacher. She's funny, genuine, nice, and willing to answer questions. One small thing that caught me off-guard is that sometimes she will test you with a couple questions from a section of the textbook that you weren't told to study yet, so it's a good idea to read ahead for yourself. The study guide helped a lot.

I took this class online for a summer flex term and thought it was very well-organized and structured. Lots of reading was required, and grades were based on the writing assignments and exams; plenty of work, but also many opportunities to raise your grade. She was also very quick with answering questions.

Enjoyed Dr. Lotz! She is a vey fair teacher, and very timely in getting assignments back. I learned alot in the class, and wish I had taken it earlier in life. Tests are hard, but fair!

I dont recommend taking this class online. Although it's easy, the lectures are what makes this class fun and interesting. If you take it online, you dont get that. I took Dr. Lotz's class online and she was great! Easy essays only 500 words and she grades fairly easy too.

Dr. Lotz is fair and is willing to work with you if any problems come up in your life. She will allow you to take an exam over if you missed, said you do not like the grade. She is hard grader on spelling and sentence structure. Good discussions, she allows you to have your oppinion about your life experiences. She knows people and life problems.

Dr. Lotz is great! I absolutely loved her class and she made it really entertaining/interesting during her lectures. You ABSOLUTELY want to take her class in person because her lectures are seriously the best part. She did reviews with us before tests in the library and was very helpful. Definitely a great teacher to have.

She wrote the syllabus using old editions of the text- I think. There are things on the test that are covered in other chapters. Overall, great teacher but difficult online. She offers students the ability to go to in class reviews though. READ what she says and write coherent papers and it will be a great class.

Dr Lotz is a great teacher; she's very clear and thorough. She has a private practice and often is able to use examples from it in her lectures. There are a lot of writing assignments, but the topics are all interesting and help your grade a lot (she drops two). The tests really aren't as hard as some say if you read the book and review your notes.

I took this course online and thought it was great. The only DOWNSIDE is that her test do not typically match material, but she CURVES! She is very fair. Very open teacher.

I don't know what grade I will get in this class, but overall I guess she's an okay teacher. However, if you're looking for an easy elective class, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Great online class! Not too difficult or overly time-consuming. Assignments are pretty easy and the tests are a breeze if you actually attend the online reviews. Tests and assignments are directly related to the readings and her lecture notes. Only 9 or 10 of the 60 students showed for the reviews, so I'm sure they aren't as pleased with the class

This wasn't an easy online class, but I learned a lot. Keep up with your reading and know how to write a good paper in MLA format(5 due). It's hard to improve since you won't get papers back. Tests were very demanding and there was material on them that was not covered in lecture notes or test reviews, so try to take thorough notes while reading.

If you do the work and study what she tells you, then the class is easy. There are 4 or 5 short papers (500 words) that are easy to do and get full credit for. I got an A in the class by taking notes and doing the papers. She is funny too.

Linda was a freaking amazing teacer. Learned quite a bit, and her art skills are phenomenal.

Really nice professor. Loves what she's teaches, fair fair grader! Curve on every test. Participate, hand your work in (flexible on deadlines) and it's nearly impossible to get below a B. Give's "EC" at the end of semester according to your participation in class.

OMG! This is the best class I have taken @ SFC!! Dr. Lotz was very entertaining and made the class enjoyable. She also offered to help you one on one if you needed it. I enjoyed this class tremendously and got so much out of it. It is so applicable to daily life. It helped me in my own family and marriage. The assignments were very fair and the test required you to study but were fair to me. I would recommend this course to anyone. Wish there was a part II.

Prof Lotz is a very sweet old lady that is willing to put in the extra time to help. Everything she discusses in class and what she tells you to look on the study guide is on the test. You write five easy little papers. Lectures could be boring at times, but overall it was a fun class. Helping her with the use of electronics is recommended.

Dr. Lotz is an awesome teacher. She has a passion for this subject..Her online class is awesome and easy to follow. She has the month set up with your work. You do it and do your study guide, and the live test reviews you will do fine. I had some health issues this semester and she gave me another chance to take an exam i missed.

You will need the book if you want an A. It is very expensive, other than that it was pretty easy. The teacher is very sweet. I got a 97 in my other class with no book. 80 something in this. Basically if you buy the book/study guide and read/do them you should get an A. I didn't want to spend $150 for looseleaf and a study guide so I got a B.:(

You NEED the textbook for class. I took this online and had the international edition (same book for $100 cheaper). The study guide isn't much help since it's usually incorrect. Do your best and communicate with her. I tried my best and only ended with a solid B+. She actually rounded my grade up to an A. She wants you to succeed. GREAT teacher!!

I took this class online so I didn't have much contact with her. However, no complaints! I always understood exactly what she wanted and she would email a response to me prompt...and there was like 100+ students in just my class alone!!!!!!! Plus she's actually a doctor so I felt like I was learning from one of the best, if not the best!

I took Mar & Fam w/ Lotz online. Very easy class; 5 essays worth 40 pts each, 5 exams worth 100 pts each, and a couple discussion posts to complete. She graded papers very lightly; I was not confident in mine and always got at least a B+. Study for the exams and you're good to go! I definitely recommend taking this class.

She was very helpful. Whenever you have a question she answers promptly. If you have a problem with a grade you receive on the essay she will reread it and maybe even give you a chance to rewrite it.Sometimes she gives test questions on the live chat. I took the online class. Any time I e-mailed questions about an assignment, she was quick to respond with clarification. You must read the material & study her lecture notes. There;s a lot of reading; however, if you keep up w/the work, it's not bad. I did pretty well on my exams and read all of the assigned chapters. I am confident that I will receive an A/B in her class. Per the class average on exams, other classmates didn't do so well because they waited until the last week of school to finish the coursework.

Professor Lotz is an AMAZING professor! Took her class online! Textbook is mandatory along with Pearson code. She lets you take each post test 3x, but the exams only once. Shes fast with responses. Dr. Lotz is an amazingly fun, interesting professor. Our on-line assignments were very helpful, but the deadlines for these assignments were extremely lenient. I felt these assignments should have been due the night before our exam, especially because this material was vitally important for the exams. The text was awesome; I very highly recommend.

If it wasnt for Dr. Lot I probably would of failed, I had a hard time be able to do the class but she was understanding, and helpful. The work is easy you just have to do it.

This was my first time dealing with mysoclab and I found it difficult until the end of the semester. I enjoyed emailing my professor because she was always helpful and her response was always fast. I never felt like I couldn't reach her and I am thankful to her for that.

This course was a little difficult on some of the videos and maps you are required to take. Other than that the class is overall easy going.

This class is really easy not because of the work, but because of how mrs. lotz sets it up. Post tests and exams are what counts for your grade, the rest is meant to help you study. I took her online section and the class was very to the point and well laid out. We knew that what was expected of us were 5 non cumalative exams and 10 chapter tests. As long as you read the book you will do fine. As a teacher she was very easy to get ahold of through email and even met with me at school,understanding, and would recommend her =]

Very good professor. More helpful than most. I had misread an assignment due date and I logged on to do it a day late but it had closed. I emailed her and she allowed me to turn it in a day late with a warning not the make the same mistake twice. Very reasonable person.

Great with communication through email. I always got a fast response when I had a question. This class has no guesswork. You have to read the text, or you won't pass the exams. It's a lot of reading. My Social Lab can be confusing to work with, but Dr. Lotz is a helpful professor. Just ask if you need assistance.

I found prof Lotz class to be very enjoyable and informative. She responds to emails in a very timely manner. Shes quick to answer any questions and help in any way she can. I highly recomend her.
