Great lab instructor. Uses class time well- covers the material & is available if help is needed. (Lab review sessions are wonderful)

She is very nice and when it comes to taking a lab test she will explain what she is looking for in an answer but not give you the answer exactly. She made the period fun.

Very nice person. She helps you out where you need the help and doesn't leave people behind. She'll answer questions again even if they've been asked already.

Mrs. luna is the best teacher that i have ever had. She made class and lab fun and we still learned everything that we needed to know. I have never learned so much in one class as i have in her class. She is probably the smartest person that i have ever known. i really enjoyed her class.

she is such a cool teacher, she has to pick up after all the other crappy bio teachers....i get more out of her tutoring than the actual class from other professors.....and she is very nice!!!!

easiest teacher you can take, but i'd take her for lab not lecture. she annoyed me because she constantly made big mistakes in lectures and contradicted herself. on tests there's tons of mistakes, so contest q's! she's very nice, but i'd never take her again for a lecture, too aggravating. easy A

Her labs are completely fun. She makes it interesting and fun while you still learn. I loved her lab class it was so cool and I was always excited to go to lab. She is more than willing to help you in any problem that you are having and she is really cool and always nice. Take her lab.

Prof. Luna does make lab fun. She knows her stuff. She is willing to tutor, but is very busy. Only critisism, she takes too long to grade and return completed labs. Nice lab test reviews online.

Great teacher, extremely helpful, but her tests are killer. ADVICE: Do as many extra credit and homework as you can. Not only will it prepares you for the test, but adds on points towards your ending scores.

Ms. Luna is one of the best instructors in the building. She breaks the content down so that it is easy to understand. Don't get me wrong, the class is a lot of work but her class is more doable than the other biology classes

I understand that Bio Lab can be quite difficult. I saw none of that. It was fairly easy for me to get my A, and she was extremely helpful.

She was pleasant and thoroughly understood the material she was presenting. Used a lot of acronyms and analogies which made it easier to remeber loads of material. Highly recommended.

She is a sweet heart. She is a friend, and cares for you. She teaches and want to be sure you understand and you can ask her thousand time, she respect you. She has a lots of activities that make subject interesting and easy to understand. Her tests are fair, and depends how much effort you put. Read book, take notes. she gives helpful handhouts.

She was my Lab instructor and not lecture for general bio with lab. She is so nice and will help out anyone. She goes over all the questions in the labs and has a lab study guide on uco website. She was helpful and enjoys teaching.

Very kind & helpful. Will go out of her way to make sure you do well (even giving hints before/during tests). Pretty lenient on lab grading as well. Don't be afraid to ask for help. She's taught enough to know how to deal with pretty much any Genetics/Gen Bio question you can throw at her. Also had her for Gen. Bio lab and was equally cool there.

She is so nice and helpful. She is fun and makes sure that everyone understands the material. She is very creative in her lectures and keeps you busy. Just don't forget to bring your lab book EVERYDAY. She is REALLY one of the nicest professors I have had.

Had Ms. Luna for Heredity and Evo. as well as Genetics Lab. She is honestly one of the nicest and most helpful professors in the Biology Dept. Her Genetics Lab is really laid back and she actually encourages questions if you don't understand! Take her for Genetics Lab if you can.

Ms. Luna is just so wonderful! I can't imagine having a better lab teacher. I actually looked forward to going to her class. Everything was clear, and she helped so much. I would recommend taking her! You are allowed 3 absences, however, you will WANT to go to lab.

Super awesome professor. Willing to come in before and after class to help with any material that wasn't clear or simply missed. Her tests aren't extremely well made, and sometimes lead to confusion but she will allow you to debate answers and usually gives you credit if you can make a good case for your answer. Awesome for both lecture and lab!

Best prof at UCO! Very helpful, and nice. Tests were a little difficult, esp fill in the blank. A lot of EASY 10 point assignments. She even takes any and all work up til final day. Attendence not required. TAKE HER! You wont be sorry.

She gets it! She is very good at explaining things to those of us that are not majors. You earn your grade but she takes effort into account as well.

Prof. Luna is an excellent instructor, however, her tests in lab are not easy. I agree with the other students that she wants you to learn and is very helpful. I recommend that anybody who takes her lab should also take her for lecture class. Otherwise, you will be like me and lost most of the time. I regret that I didn't take her for lecture.

I had her for biology and the class is definitely not a blow off class and you need to attend, but overall she was really helpful and understanding. She gave plenty of opportunities for bonus and would take late work, however her tests are not easy. She is usually pretty easy to listen to and entertaining. I didn't even use the text book once.

Took her for my BIO lab and I absolutely loved having her. She was very helpful if you were confused and she made sure you understood the lab. Take her for your lab!

I took both lab and lecture from Luna. Lab was easy- she gives you the exact answers, the labs are fun, and she knows her stuff! Take lab from Luna, you won't regret it! She even gives a study guide for the two lab exams.

Biology lecture was way different from lab! You must attend class everyday and take good notes in order to understand the concepts. Luna does give plenty of chances for bonus points throughout the semester though, and earning an A is do-able. Be sure to study hard though.

EXCELLENT Professor. I would very highly recommend you take her classes whenever possible. She is passionate about what she teaches and gives you a reason to want to learn it. She teaches the student, not the subject. Do NOT buy book. MUST go to class! She gives a lot of extra credit and thorough study guides for the tests.

She is an amazing teacher! Even if you don't go to class every time. She always Emails the assignments and study guides. She is the nicest teacher I have dealt with so far. She even helped me in my other classes. HIGHLY recommended.

Love Ms. Luna. She gives a ridiculous amount of extra credit, the only thing saving my grade! The test are really hard and long. She's entertaining but bio just doesn't interest me so the course instruction is boring, but I didn't mind going to class every day. I would recommend her.

Professor Luna is extremely helpful and nice! Her tests are really long and hard but she gives a ton of extra credit and there are little assignments here and there to help your grade. Biology isn't interesting to me at all and she makes it interesting enough for me to be in class every single time. I would recommend her!

I hated science when I signed up for this class. For the first time EVER i wanted to learn this stuff. She is an amazing professor who will go out of her way to help you if you really show the interest. She gives plenty of extra credit so there is no excuse for doing poorly. You need to show up to class since she tests from the lecture notes.

Professor Luna does whatever she can to help her students learn the material if you put in the effort. She gives plenty of opportunities to get points to boost your grade. Thanks to her, I no longer hate Biology. Take good notes in class. Most of her tests come from those. Attendance is required if you want to do really well.

The class is not as hard as most labs. If you are an honest student, she will be there for you. Chances to make up labs: that's commitment. Very lenient and makes biology easy to understand. Tests are challenging but not too hard, study an hour. If you have your notes and REREAD labs, you are golden. She makes note taking easy. She is a great lady.

Ms. Luna is awesome. I hated biology before this class, I think I ended the class with over 100%. Do not miss class as her tests are based on her lectures not on the book. Do all the extra credit as they are easy and help your grade a lot. I highly recommend her! And she is a genius, she can relate biology to any subject to make it interesting!

Mrs. Luna is so passionate about what she teaches which make her 2 hour lectures a little easier to listen and pay attention too. She is such and sweet and funny lady who gives lots of extra credit opportunities only a few test but they are pretty hard but as long as you attend class and take good notes and STUDY them you will do great. take her!

She's such a good teacher! TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY. She really wants everyone to pass, and she's verrrrry helpful .Even during a test she helps! so don't be afraid!Once made a 69 on a test and the extra credit on that test bumped me up to a 85! IF YOU NEED HELP ASK. She sometimes checks role. Only if a lot of students are out though.

Luna is AMAZING. I hate science but it's hard to when she's teaching it. She will go out of her way to help you- she wants you to do well. Luna is a great example of what any college professor should be. She gives great reviews before an exam, her instructions are clear, and she helps you if you come to her. She really cares about her students and I would suggest her to anyone needing a biology credit.

She's amazing. She knows about almost all topics and she gives us very useful information. If you go to her office, she will help you a lot. Tons of extra credit, seems to waste time but they give you more knowledge. Give study guide before exam and final only help your grade (doesn't ruin it).

Took the gen Bio class over the summer. Did not take the lecture. Professor Luna is a good teacher, genuinely cares about her students. Does not mind repeating herself to make sure you understand. Would take again in a heartbeat, very pleased.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class and Ms. Luna made everything easy and fun. This was a required lab course for me. he subject matter is interesting. The book was inexpensive and the labs are easy. Pay attention during the lecture and you'll do fine. Also, there are study guides for the midterm and final. Extra credit options available as well!

PLEASE take her for any of your biology classes. She is one of the best professors I have ever taken in my entire college career. she cares about her students, offers plenty of extra credit, and tells stories that are relevant to what we are learning. She is funny as well. If you have the option to take her class, do it!!!

You have so many opportunities to get a good grade with all the extra credit she gives out and little assignments every so often to help boost your average! TAKE HER CLASS!!

Linda Luna is an amazing professor. I took her for lab only but wish I had her for lecture as well. She make labs interesting and fun, lots of good information for your test, you should attend class just to hear her. Her test were a bit hard because they were long but just study for them and she gives a review with everything you need to pass .

Luna was awesome and I actually loved going to class. I took her for bio lab and she made everything more clear and easier to learn. Every class you do a worksheet and she does it along with us and some with your table, there are 2 exams and all the lab sheets are your study guide. She helps you understand and will even partly help during an exam.

Shes one of the sweetest professors I had. She cares about each of her students. As long as you show up for the labs, youll pass. She makes it easy to pass the class, but also to understand the curriculum. I learned more about biology through her lab than I did my lecture.

I struggled a lot with Biology in High School but thrived in Professor Luna's class. She's kind, understanding, and brings challenge but also makes things interesting and relevant. Highly recommend.

Ms. Luna is a great professor. She makes this biology lab really easy and interesting. If you are struggling she is welling to help you. She also gives good study guides and as well a practice exam before the actual exam( some of the questions are the same ones that will appear in the exam) I would recommend taking her class!

Luna is a great prof, unfortunately she got sick and was unable to complete the semester. During the time she taught I learned a lot; she told you what you needed to know and why. She is chronological in her presentations, + gave opportunities to double check homework, w/ good practice tests for midterm/final. She cares a lot + will work with you.

She's a great professor! I took her lab once a week and they were a breeze since the walks everyone through it. The tests are pretty challenging because there is no multiple choice. Worst case scenario, your grade will be okay if you do bad on the test because the labs are worth quite a lot of points. Do NOT miss class.

She is a great teacher who really cares about her students & wants them to succeed. I didn't take the lab with this class, but wish I would have because she is such a great teacher. She gives you study guides to go by for the tests, if you study them you should easily make an A or B. I have never been good at science & I have made B's on all tests.

Luna was (and still is) my favorite professor i've ever had. She is an amazing teacher, and although she can get off topic in her lectures they are important to listen to. Attendance isn't mandatory but you will fall behind if you miss. TONS of extra credit opportunities. If you put in the time to study for the exams, you'll get an A. Fun class.

I had Dr. Luna for my General Biology lab and she was wonderful. She understood that my class was not full of students who planned to continue on with Biology and so she taught accordingly. Be prepared she does get frustrated if no one answers her questions and the questions that she asks can be very difficult. Overall though, she was wonderful!

I had the pleasure of taking professor Luna for bio foundations. My class was 8 AM M-TR, but I didn't mind because I truly woke up excited to go to class. Tests aren't hard, material for test comes from her lectures so DO take notes. Attendance isn't mandatory but you truly learn every class period, she shares anecdotes and knowledge beyond bio.

I had a tough first semester and Mrs Luna was so so so supportive. she is a huge advocate for mental health and understands that life gets hard and will work with you to pass the class. she cares about her students. if you dont attend class you will probably get behind. you have to communicate with her and youll be fine.

Professor Luna was very understanding and lenient with attendance. If you communicate with her, she will help you out.

She is very engaging and is easy to talk to if you don't understand something. You also get extra credit if you show up for class some days. However, her class is fully just a lecture, and the exams are very intensive. During the semester, we had 3 exams and maybe 3 or 4 homework assignments, so if you're not a great test taker you will struggle.

Professor Luna is a great person, but she has room to grow to be a great professor. Her refusal to use D2L made keeping up with the class nearly impossible. While I made an A, there was far more stress involved than there should have been. I had 7 classes and this class caused more stress than the others combined.

Professor Luna is a great teacher and she prepares you well for the few tests that she gives. However, she does not use D2L at all and you can never see your overall grade which is a bit annoying when you are trying to prepare for finals. Other than that, her class is pretty easy if you just show up, listen, and follow her study guides.

She emails every assignment and it's hard to keep track of. She also does not post any grades which is frustrating especially right before finals. Also, due to health issues, she does cancel classes a lot.

Ms Luna is a sweet professor and really cares about her students. That being said every assignment is sent to you through email and nothing is posted on d2l. She didn't give us many assignments but she did give some random ones. I personally loved her lectures even if they weren't very biology related. She's a great prof if you want an easy grade.

Dr Luna was an engaging and effective educator, enriching lessons with current science news and a focus on conservation. As an older student, I valued her kindness and willingness to help. I learned so much and hope to work with her again.

Loved her as my general biology professor she is understanding and responds to emails quickly. Tests are long but does not assign insane assignments. The only thing that I wish she would change is that her work is through email instead of D2L. I recommend this class!

Absolutely great professor, very reasonable and very understanding of challenges with concepts. She worked with me on assignments that I had trouble understanding and was overall very caring of her students. I absolutely recommend this teacher for people who have had issues with Biology in the past as her teaching style is very adaptive.

Professor Luna is a great person, but her teaching style could use some improvement. While her lectures are engaging, her refusal to use D2L made staying on top of assignments a challenge. I found unstuckstudy super helpful for preparing for exams alongside the textbook. Overall, a decent class if you're diligent.

Took her in the fall and she is amazing and caring. She doesn't use D2L so it can be challenging to keep track of work but she send a lot of emails. I got a B in her class so it wasn't hard. She offers test corrections and extra credit. Overall really good teacher.

I have never been good at any kind of science, however, I surprisingly loved the way she teaches as well as the class itself. It wasn't easy or hard, you just have to pay attention + do the study guides. I would focus on memorization/flashcards to study. She does cancel a lot, but it is understandable due to her condition. 10/10 would recommend!
