She is a GREAT professor! It's an honors class, so she will make you work for it. But, if you do your work on time and keep up you should get an A. She does require a lot of reading. She really does care about her students. Love going to her class.

I am writing this as a current student at UC Berkeley who is majoring in English. Professor Palumbo not only nurtured my writing skills, but she also provided a space for creativity. I believe this actually cultivated my interest to look for answers that engage with text and allowed me to see the beauty in the world around me through literature.

Dr. Palumbo is one of the best professors at Cerritos. She made me fall in love with literature. She genuinely cares for her students and often offers help and advice. She makes the material easier to understand and interesting. If you can, TAKE ONE OF HER CLASSES, I am taking more of her classes next semester.

Class is work-intensive at the beginning but gets easier. Assigned readings are very interesting and class discussions on the readings are helpful. Do the work, pay attention during lectures, and an A will be easy to achieve. Dr. Palumbo is truly an asset to Cerritos College and I hope every student gets the opportunity to take one of her classes.

Dr. Palumbo is, sincerely, an exceptional professor. She is moving and always helpful. Comprehension of reading is necessary to pass but, she does go into detail in class. Midterms and finals are lengthy. Lenient grader but, you must demonstrate a certain amount of material comprehension. Poetry was never my cup of tea but, this class was awesome.
