This lab is ridiculous. This is by far the hardest thing that I have done at Auburn. I study more for this lab than I do anything else. There is a lot of information you have to know. Lab exams are fill in the blank, and now have free response paragraphs on them. I think they are trying to make us all fail lab and drop our curriculums.
Linda made this lab into something that I dreaded each week. I enjoyed the lecture and made an A on all lecture exams so I had a good understanding of the material, but Linda just made this lab impossible. She is unfair, never accessible, and rude. Worst professor at Auburn in my opinion.
This is the worst class that I have taken at Auburn University so far. The lecture is great, but the lab is something awful. She takes this lab too seriously for little class credit. Busy work is all that you do for homework. It is ridiculous. If I had not done poorly in the lab, I would have had an A in anatomy. Lab is half of your grade...
This was the WORST class I have every taken in my entire life. This lab is my worst grade out of all 7 classes I am taking. I understand it's a biology lab course, but there is way too much information expected for students to learn in such a short amount of time, and the outside time commitments for homework are not acceptable.
I spent more time on this lab than I did for any lecture class this semester. Way too much work for a 1 hour credit. Her instructions are not clear and you don't know the correct status of your grade until final grades have been submitted. so. many. assignments. And she takes off fractions of points even when you answered the question correctly.
A lot of work for a one hour credit. I had to put as much work into this class as my lecture courses. She is inpatient and rude through email, so it's good that the labs are actually run by helpful TAs. Your grade will basically be your 3 practicals, so you can't bomb any of them for a good grade. Do every extra credit opportunity available.
Linda, was really nice when we switched to remote learning. But the anatomy II lab before and anatomy I lab are a LOT of work. I spent more time on lab than any other courses. I felt like it was a 4 hour credit class rather than 1 hour. You have to know so much for practicals and it can be overwhelming. HIGHLY suggest studying weekly.
WAY TOO MUCH WORK FOR A 1 HOUR LAB!!! Linda honestly was so passive aggressive in her emails and really did the most at making this lab way harder than it had to be. It was a terrible experience for me and I am beyond relieved its over. TERRIBLE! Just rediculous how much work this lab was. It shouldnt and doesnt have to be this way. Good luck
The Anatomy II lab is nearly impossible. For a 1 hr credit I spent more time on this lab than any of my other classes. She gives extra credit, but the material is outrageously difficult. I learned nothing because I was so focused on memorizing and moving on to learn the 1000s of terms she gave us. Be prepared to work. Hopefully you get a good TA.
I'm terrible at anatomy so this class was not very easy to me. You have to study and know your stuff. Test are fill in the blank and spelling counts.
This lab was AWFUL. I spent more time on this one hour lab than on the actuall anatomy class. The information was insane and the testing was so stressful. The only thing that saved my grade was the few bonuses that she gave because we were all failing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!
This lab is so hard for no reason. There is so much material to learn it is nearly impossible. The practicals are extremely hard especially online due to COVID. She did give extra credit, but it took me days to complete and it still wasn't enough for me to get my grade where it needed to be. The lecture (BIOL 2500) is 3 credit hours and 10x easier.
Prof. Pastorello was okay for a virtual lab during COVID. However, we never actually had a hands-on lab or any demonstration of one over Zoom. It was strictly trying to learn tissues, muscles, bones, and nerves through pictures on Canvas. Practicals were pretty hard but she does offer lots of extra credit.
Do not take this class if you do not have to. I have never had to do more work for any other class in my entire life, and it is literally only 1 credit hour. She tests you on tons of information at once, and is really just not the best in general. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!
She is rude over email when you ask a question about her unclear announcements. We got to go in lab 1 time and then got tested on something we had only seen once or not seen at all. She did not give us proper material to help prepare and study. I put an extreme amount of effort into this class and have struggles to keep a B.
This lab includes an INSANE amount of information. Get ready to study. We had the choice of taking the practicals in person or online which was nice. However, I would never take this lab again. The practicals were insanely challenging. I would study for two weeks and still fail . The only thing that saved my grade was the bonus. I was so thankful.
To only be a 1 credit hour course with the amount of studying you have to do is unrealistic. If I didn't have a good GTA my grade would not have been an A. Tons of extra credit which is great. But the amount of information you have to know for the practicals is insane. She's the only lab coordinator pretty much for A&P so you just gotta STUDY!
Hardest class Ive ever taken taken! and hard to no reason. This was a lab class and much harder than the lecture class. Impossible tests and quizzes. gives bonus assignments that take hours to do and barely helps your grade. sweet woman but awful class. Ive never cried so hard and been so stressed over a class in my life. I got a B, but barely.
Honestly, for an anatomy lab, it's what you should expect to have to do. Tests were crazy hard unless you really studied for them. She dealt with a lot of students so it was understandable that she took a little while to respond to emails. Overall though, if she is your only option for a lab professor you'll be fine as long as you study.
Studying online and then taking an in person practical really threw me off as some aren't as clearly labelled. Be sure to study more than a few days, there's a LOT to learn at once. Take every opportunity for extra credit. The lab material is sometimes ahead of the class which was confusing. Not super accessible but she does have lots of students.
Not only was her class impossible due to it mostly being online, she is beyond rude and disrespectful to students. When I asked her for help she told me that my grade was my fault and clearly I just didn't do what she said instead of working with me about my confusion in her class she told me "Good luck even passing." Horrible prof-worse person.
Truly made AP1 and 2 labs living hell. Very limited resources given for study, and pictures never match the practicals. Also has an attitude about low grades, when they entirely reflect her. TAs saved my grade with zoom reviews and ways to study and are the only reason I passed.
Get ready to study way more than you should for a one hour course & make a bad grade because she tests on stuff that she doesn't tell you about, but expects you to know. I make good grades because I work hard, but in this class it doesn't matter how hard you work. She also walks in the lab barefoot with her dog that chews on the preserved organs !
For starters, her DOG which she brings to class ATE my brain dissection. He jumped on the table and just NOMMED on half of it. She is an "animal behavioralist" and cannot even teach her own dog the simple command "stay." Secondly, she walks around class BAREFOOT! Talk about "lab safety." She badmouths students in the hallway for asking questions.
Linda is most definitely the worst kind of person. I unfortunately have had to have her as lab coordinator for 3 years and I have NEVER seen her before. She doesnt care if you pass or fail and she doesnt care if you email her about a problem, your response will be you shouldve done better TERRIBLE professor. ONLY way to pass is thru LAs.
I feel very sorry for you if you have to take A&P labs because Linda is the only lab coordinator. Linda is god awful and she made lab a living hell. Ive never studied so hard for a class before only for it to be worth 1 credit. This lab made me feel like I was drowning in information. If you want to pass I recommend studying AT LEAST 8hrs everyday
IF YOU CAN TAKE THIS ANYWHERE BESIDES AUBURN DO IT! Linda is mean, unprofessional and your only option. Least respected prof by ALL her students because she is unreasonable. The LA's are the only reason people survive. I heard her in the hallway laughing about a failing avg (56%). AVOID . INSANE amount of information and harder than lecture. WORST!
The amount of work and time required for this lab, being that it is a 1 HOUR credit is ridiculous. It takes up just as much time as the 3 hour credit anatomy class and compared to other labs that I have taken such as organic chem 1 and 2, it is way harder.
If you have to take anatomy lab at Auburn and she is still the only lab coordinator- Just transfer or take the class somewhere else. She makes fun of students, mocks emails she receives, screams at GTAs, walks around barefoot in lab videos and is not only a terrible teacher but downright mean. Truly do not know how Auburn hasn't fired her yet.
I try to give every professor the benefit of the doubt, BUT linda is literally the worst. She is incredibly rude and super unwilling to help, if she even reads your email. Class should be a 3 hour credit class with the amount of work this woman assigns. Gives extra credit that takes hours to finish and barely helps your grade. AVOID at all costs
The only nice thing Dr. Pastorello offers is extra credit, although she only has to offer extra credit because her practicals and quizzes are so difficult. I have never heard of students spending more time studying for a 1 credit lab than a 3 credit lecture class until I had Dr. Pastorello. She is incredibly unprofessional. DO NOT TAKE.
Worst lab ever
I had prof Pastorello for my asynchronous A&P 1 lab. I was worried I wouldn't get the full experience but she made the online version just as in-depth as the in-person one. I really appreciated how much effort she put into the online content. if you stay up to date on the material you'll be fine, just don't slack, she expects a lot from you.
Linda is extremely hard. Considering that this class is already hard normally, she makes it 100 times worse. If you have to take this class for your degree, TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. Even though this is a one hour class, I felt like it took up more time than my 3 hour lectures. This class honestly made me want to drop out of Auburn. DO NOT TAKE!
class is extremely difficult. linda is absolutely the worst. i have never been more stressed over anything in my life. all of her students are pre-health majors, so you know we aren't expecting anything to be easy at this point, BUT this is ridiculous. i've had her for two semesters now and i cannot wait to never have to deal with this lady.
Very displeased with the organization of her class. It was all over the place and poorly executed. Linda is not understanding nor does she care about the students. She gives bonus but only because if she didnt everyone would fail. I studied more for lab than class. The only thing I learned from this class is what extreme test anxiety feels like.
Worst professor by far. Completely unprofessional and Auburn University should be ashamed to have her running the Anatomy labs.
Anatomy lab 1 and 2 online honestly are not that bad. The lady gives a ton of bonus points and if you study youll get a B/A. The final in lab 2 is super easy anyway. Also there isnt any other choice here for it so dont let these kids who did not work hard enough scare you off. Just put in the effort.
Not Helpful Rude Unsympathetic Lots of study materials, but hard tests
This class is extremely hard. The amount of studying she expects you to do for this 1 hour credit class is a little over the top. Yes, this isn't supposed to be an easy class, but she makes it harder than it should be. Be prepared to fail like every test because they are ridiculously hard. She does offer extra credit which is nice.
This class is definitely a lot of work. If you study a little as you go, then it is really not bad. If you wait, it is extremely overwhelming. There is a lot of assignments, quizzes, virtual labs, etc. that help boost your grade, and she gives SO much bonus.
Her lab practicals have been the lowest grades Ive ever made even though I studied the most for them. She does give a lot of extra credit so it isnt impossible to do well in the class, but you will be very stressed all semester. Unprofessional attitude in emails and in person. Shes the only anatomy lab coordinator at Auburn so take at a CC
This is a very hard class. You will need a lot of time devoted to this class to do well. Her practicals are extremely difficult and graded very harshly. Has an attitude problem when responding to questions or emails. Shes very unorganized and its hard to know what is due and when. She does give a good bit of bonus. Thats the only positive.
She was my only option for lab. Dr. Pastorello is terrible, spelling counts and the models we have tests on are falling apart yet we are still tested on them. There is so much to memorize so study a little every night and that will help so much. DO ALL THE EXTRA CREDIT.
This class is insane. For one credit you are studying so hard for a practical that is graded so harshly and given no feedback. When you do get feedback from Linda it is snarky and rude. She could care less how her students were doing. She talks badly about students to the GTAs in the hallways. She very unprofessional and doesnt wear shoes in lab.
She caused me so much stress I had to get back on my seizure medication after being off of it for two years. She couldn't care less about you as a student or a human being. She wants you to struggle and every question was met with aggression. Her dog even ate the brain from dissection in class. Don' take this class if you care about your well being
Linda.. jeez. The review material for the tests was ALWAYS different, which makes her lab classes VERY difficult because no anatomy models look the same. Tests and quizzes are almost all fill in the blank and you must know EVERY function and every part of every piece of the body. Lots of issues lie w/ the class itself tho. -5/10
The class is based on points, not an overall percentage. There are SO MANY opportunities for bonus points. So, if you're bad at tests then DO THE BONUS projects. It's important to go over stuff for this lab a little bit at a time. I found it impossible to do it all in one or two days. Not hard, just takes some time to learn and memorize everything.
She's the only person over lab, so I'm not gonna talk about her since you don't really have a choice. I highly suggest breaking up the material and planning what to study each day. It may seem tiring (because there's a lot of material) but it helped me so much in the long run. There's also TONS of bonus, so take advantage of that!
Linda regularly walked into lab without shoes on and stuck her bare, ungloved hand into the animals we were dissecting. She's rude and practicals are graded harshly and without the option for partial credit. GTAs told me nearly everyone bombed our first practical. Overall she's just unprofessional and not a nice person so good luck.
You don't have a choice in taking her, but you'll wish you did. She offered around 40 bonus points throughout the semester just to make everyone stop failing. You're going to have to treat this class as a 3 credit hour class, not 1. Just work hard and you'll be fine, you have a quiz every lab week so do good on those to help your grade.
She is a terrible lab coordinator but provides enough extra credit to raise your grade by one or two letter grades. Her practicals were so hard and you have to put in a lot of work to get an A in this class. Good luck if you have her. She is very petty too.
If you're reading this because you're about to take A&P 1 Lab, be prepared for a TON of information each lab, almost weekly quizzes, and extremely detailed and difficult practicals. You'll be in lab for the full 2 hours just looking at your computer screen or studying models. Sign up for a lab time when you will be energized and ready to cram.
I heard the horror stories of taking this class, so I opted to take the online lab version. It seems like it's been easier online, I like that I have time to review all the materials in my own time. Still a lot of weekly assignments and quizzes and the practical's are extremely detailed and difficult. I would recommend taking A&P lab online though.
I think people are a little bit dramatic honestly. The practicals were easy to get a good grade on if you studied and studied correctly. It is a ton of material but the professor cannot do anything about that its just anatomy. I recommend doing all of the bonus so that you can to help your grade. Just a lot of time required for this course sadly.
I think most of these reviews are very overexaggerated. This lab was not bad at all if you just study and know the information. You get a ton of extra credit in class, and there are a lot of opportunities to earn other extra credit. Tests are easy as long as you study. Linda also responded when I needed help, and was very helpful. TAKE IN PERSON.
She is the most unorganized, clueless person I have ever met! Hard to contact and doesnt give you any information. Barely talks to TAs and so they cant help either!!! Only took her class again because it was my only option!
Reading these reviews scared me going into this semester but this lab is very doable as long as you put in the effort and study the material. The GTAs help you out a lot with study tips and extra credit. The material is interesting and not something to stress over. I ended with over a 100, just do the extra credit, study and you'll do great!
This should definitely be a 3 hour credit class because you do a lot of studying outside of class. Linda is very unorganized and overall just really weird and shady about things. That being said, there's usually great TA's that instruct the class and will SAVE your grade. No other option for the lab but just be prepared for A LOT.
This is not an exaggeration. I took the online lab course and it was hell. You spend so much outside time studying and there are weekly quizzes. Tests are awful because the pictures are so bad. Think I would have done better in person. GTA was awesome, and theres a lot of bonus opportunities (do all of them!) but one of the worst classes
This class is HARD. It requires a lot of studying. The only redeeming factor was the tons of extra credit. You HAVE to take the class in person or you wont pass. Study daily. Lab practicals are difficult and cover a lot of material. Class should be worth 3 hrs instead of 1 with the amount of work. Linda is ok, but not very accessible.
The lab for A&P 2 only gets harder. The online videos and materials Dr. Pastorello posts are helpful, but there is just too much information to cover. There is a clear divide between Linda and her GTAs, she will enter our classroom at random times and march around asking why we look miserable. It's unprofessional and awkward.
This professor is THE WORST. Her grading style is so picky and it is impossible to pass her practical exams. She expects you to know absolutely everything in no time and gives no lee way. DO NOT RECOMMENDED.
I have only taken A&P 1 Lab so far. TA's do the majority of the work. However, Linda can come in and be very distracting. Do good on the first practical as it is worth the most points and you will be set. You have to study a bunch! This course should be worth more than a hour. Use quizlets other people have made to study.
Linda has a lot of bad reviews, so I went into this class very scared. I am here to tell you all that it is not nearly as bad as all the reviews say. I did not see much of Linda personally throughout this class, but she did hire some of the best TA's I've ever had. This class had A TON of extra credit and it is not hard to get an A.
I saw Linda one time the whole semester and she was very nice. She has great GTAs. This class is a LOT of memorization, but it's anatomy and should be expected. Quizlets and flashcards are your friend. Practicals weigh less as they go, so do good on the first one. Lots of extra credit too and easy to make an A if you put in the effort.
Another year of not seeing Linda herself at all. Thank God for the amazing GTA's for this lab. This class will be a lot of work outside of class and there are lots of assignments and practicals you may not do well on, but there's tons of extra credit for a nice cushion, so don't stress. Also, try not to miss lab because the makeup process is awful.
i have mixed feelings about Linda. On one hand I ended with an A and a good understanding of Anatomy. on the other hand she's rude, gvies a ton of assignments, and just strait up a bad prof. Pray you get a good TA.
Anatomy lab definitely requires work. However, Linda gives a ridiculous amount of bonus to the point where you might not even have to take the final practical. Just study and put in the work and you will EASILY end with an A. Shes quirky but gives helpful ways to memorize the material and is super nice in person.
Anatomy lab is a ton of work and memorization, but she gives so many extra credit points that you don't need to stress. I didn't even have to take the last practical because I had so many. She gives a ton of online resources and her GTAs are great.
Only saw her once all semester. Her GTA's ran the lab. My group had to teach ourselves 90% of the content. There were 3 practicals which weren't too bad. She did give out lots of bonus points. She gave bonus points for giving blood, but didn't accept my proof of donation so it was pretty useless to go donate.
Study the lab print outs, easy A.
Linda has provided everything you need to know for the practicals. I just watch her videos and have done really well in her class and my grade is over 100% right now. Although you don't see much of her during the semester, she hires the BEST TA's and this class has set me up for success. Looking forward to having Linda again for BIOL 2511.
Linda is not a good lab instructor. Rude, adamantly unwilling to help students who reach out with concerns, defensive, and loves to make assumptions without showing any empathy regarding student's situations.Sure she offers bonus assignments but if you physically cannot participate in one, she offers no accessible alternative, ruined the experience
Dr. Pastorello assigned a lot of work for this lab but if you paid attention and studied for the quizzes you would do fine.
I rarely saw Linda Pastorello all semester but she did a good job providing her students with material needed to prepare for labs & practicals. lots of time and studying to do well in this course but there are several bonus opportunities. I only did one bonus and did good on my practicals so i only needed a 14 on the last practical to keep my A.
she wasnt really present during my labs but I did very well thanks to my GTA SB. SB was very willing to help if you put in the effort and showed her you cared about this class. She came very prepared and was ready to help her students making sure we followed LP printouts and instructions. practicals were easy if you studied. i enjoyed this class.
I do not have much to say about Mrs. Linda because she did not show up during the semester. The TAs run the class, so if you do not get good TAs it may be a rough semester. I was not a big fan of how the labs were set up and many of them felt like busy work.
Linda is okay. She is extremely rude over email so be careful with that. The practicals aren't terrible, if you study a good bit. All labs are group work and pretty easy. However, Linda is not nice at all.
Linda herself is terrible, but you shouldn't have to deal with her. GTAs make or break the class, mine were amazing. Arguably way too much information and studying required for a 1 credit hour class, but it's very easy to make an A or a B. Linda offers a LOT of extra credit. Make sure to do well on the first practical, it's the easiest.
I felt Linda was much more tolerant this in A&P 2, but it doesn't change much about my feelings towards this lab. I feel she gives a lot of work and expects a lot of studying for what is a one credit hour course. However, you will be very comfortable at the end of the semester if you take advantage of the numerous extra credit she offers.
I took her for a&p 1 and 2. No one could pay me enough money to take anatomy 2 lab again. There's only two practicals and weekly quizzes. The practicals are all free response and she is very specific. The average on the first practical was a 50. I only got an A because I did every extra credit opportunity and said a lot of prayers. Study every week
I did not see Linda very often, which is common for a lab director. She hires amazing TAs that will make the lab enjoyable to come to! Do well on the first practical, it's the easiest. Some of the lab work seemed like busy work, but if you think you have a good handle on it, you can get checked off and leave. Look forward to BIOL 2511
This lab was very fun and the practicals were easy if you studied hard enough. She came into one of our labs and talked to us and wished me luck on my future exams and went through the models with my group. She is a very kind person and wants everyone to succeed that comes through her lab.
how is this woman still a "teacher"?! so many people fail her class. she is the reason I have to drop out. I have taken her lab 4 times but cannot pass it due to her decision to count off for spelling errors, even after she was told about my accommodations for dyslexia. TA's don't know whats going on and actively talk about how they hate her to POS
She gives extra credit quite a bit but it isn't worth spending 5 hours on a powerpoint your only getting 2 points for. this is way to much work for a 1 credit hour lab. She herself is a horrible person so you have to teach yourself 90% of the material. lab is nothing but busy work that offers no help. you couldn't pay me to deal with this lab again
She makes it very interactive with the dissections in lab and with the syndaver for the first half of the lab. After getting through the first half the last half was sped through. During the last lab we did not get to cover everything and we had a quiz on the stuff we did not get to cover and the practical was mainly the things we did not cover.
The TAs and Linda seldom respond to emails; my TA never did the whole semester. There is a lack of instruction. She does offer a bonus; however, it will go toward the weekly quizzes because everyone fails them. There are five questions on average, and you will get no more than 1 or 2 correct. The practicals are extremely hard. Study daily!
Please please please whatever you do, participate in all of the activities. Everything in the lab will be tested and there are hardly any word banks. So much information to memorize that I can hardly remember what we did in the beginning. Dr. Pastorello doesn't stay in the lab, it's the TAs so you rely on how good your TAs are.
Terrible lab coordinator, DO NOT TAKE HER.
She genuinely gives such an ABSURD amount of pre/post lab work that never ended up teaching me anything. It is possible to do well in the class and the labs themselves are fine. But the amount of work is insanity for no reason
HORRIBLE! This lab class should be a 3 credit hour class for all the work done before, during, and after. I wouldn't ever take her again but unfortunately she is the only one to choose. There is extra credit. Practicals are write in and you have to spell the words correctly or you don't get it right. Good Luck!
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT take this class if you can avoid it. Like literally by all means. Take it at Southern Union over the summer or SOMETHING. You will either fail or barely pass this class.
She is the worst professor I have had during my time here. She is extremely hard to get in contact with. I emailed her in August a never recieved a responce. The workload for this class is so much for a 1 hr credit course. The practical exams are VERY hard. In class quizzes are horrible. Averages were 2/11 or 3/8 typically. AVOID HER!! Don't do it!
If you study a few hours a week you'll do fine. I bombed all the quizzes, but did pretty well on the practicals. She gives out so much extra credit it is unbelievable, if you give this class a moderate amount of care an attention it's an easy A. This could vary depending on GTAs though.
This class was SO much work, but it paid off in the end with me not having to take the third practical due to already having enough points for an A! My TA's were pretty good, but the 6 quizzes were pretty rough for me sometimes. Do the best on practical 1 because it's the easiest and has the most bonus. I did every bonus assignment she offered!
I took Linda for both A&P 1 and 2 labs, and ended with over a 100 both times. These labs are inherently tough classes with fill in the blank practicals and hundreds of terms to memorize, but I think I could've made the same grade in both labs whether I went or not, as I ended up teaching myself the material due to the lack of instruction in lab.
Lab is a lot of memorization but making a quizlet was very helpful. Make sure to practice with the models in the lab as much as possible. She gives lots of homework but its fairly simple and a bad grade on a quiz or notebook check won't kill you because she gives SO MUCH extra credit. On the final she lets you have a cheat sheet.
She is the worst professor I have had during my time here. She is extremely hard to contact. I emailed her in August and never received a response. The workload for this class is so much for a one-hour credit course. The practical exams are VERY hard. The in-class quizzes are horrible. Averages were 2/11 or 3/8 typically. AVOID HER!! Don't do it!
there is a ridiculous amount of work for this lab. I have never seen her once and for several weeks of the semester our TAs never heard from her or got a response
I was terrified for this class because I heard horror stories, but it really wasn't terrible! I ended up with over a 100 in it. Just do all the extra credit you can, go to labs to get the extra points, and redo the mastering assignments if you don't get a 100! I failed pretty much every quiz haha, but the practicals weren't too bad (cheat sheet).
My GTAs were amazing, but she was not. I was sick and had a family emergency, and she was hard to reschedule the lab with, and she expected me to skip other classes for hers. She was rarely reachable and just lacked empathy. The class was organized well and was fun with good peers and GTAs. How is she in charge of grades when we've never met her?
Mrs. Pastorello is kind and considerate. She zoomed with me around 8:00 PM, and did nothing but encourage me. She has a good heart and wants people to succeed. The course is not an easy course, but it's not supposed to be. She gives out loads of material to help, and was super helpful every time I reached out. Take her if you want to learn.
The work load for a ONE CREDIT HOUR CLASS is genuinely laughable. The homework takes hours to do and it isn't even really that helpful it is mostly busy work. The practical's are insane. I get this class is difficult anywhere you go, but making it so time consuming makes it unbearable. If you can, take this course somewhere else for your sanity.
Course is disorganized and confusingly formatted. The Canvas page is difficult to navigate, making it hard to find important information. The amount of busy work involved in this one-hour course is over-demanding, and often does not contribute to learning or retaining information. Pastorello is the only coordinator for anatomy, but it is doable.
Genuinely the most work for any class ive ever taken. Multiple times harder than the lecture for the same course, she expects around 60-100 in-depth fill in the blank questions worth of homework every week. You have to either cheat or self-teach all the content as it is weeks ahead of the lecture. Overall worst class experience ive ever had.
I thought she was very caring, genuinely wanted us to be successful, and would often stop by to help in our labs. She offers so many extra credit opportunities and chances to get points aside from practicals that made it very easy to get an A at the end of the semester. The practicals are a lot of memorization but easy if you study.
This class mostly depends on the TAs but overall she very good at responding to emails!
Don't take if you have a choice.
Just stay on top of all your assignments and you'll be fine in the lab. The lab is very straight forward and all TA's and Linda set expectations straight from day one. People that fine this lab difficult or impossible simply are not staying on top of the information that builds every week.
I did not like Linda very much, but you'll probably be fine. There's a lot of work for a one credit hour class and the quizzes and practicals can be pretty difficult, but she gives so many bonus points and opportunities for extra credit. However, if you have to contact her for personal reasons, expect unnecessary attitude.
This is the epitome of a professor that should never teach. Bright individual, but brutal quizzes and poorly graded practicums. Don't let this class determine your future, you can still have a wonderful career and hate this course.
