This is the worst proessor I've had. Her lesson plans are not clear. She does not seem to know the subject, sice every time someone asked her a question, she could not answer it.

After all my years at swc I have to say Prof. Rocha is the worst teacher i have had (including high school). She isn't helpful at all, gives way too much homework, and her quiz's arent even on the material we went over. Get bailey as a prof, hes great!!

I have to agree with most of the other students comment. She has a hard time clarifying anything and depends on students to teach. She regurgitates what you already read but doesn't clarify anything. She's an embarrassment to the Psychology department.

This class was very uninteresting, she tries too hard but rambles on about the subject and talks way too fast to keep up with the notes I would not recommend her to anyone even though I got a B she fails to give tests and quizzes on the time shes supposed to give them causing in my experience to have to cram for other tests in other courses!

If you want an easy A disregard her lectures they will only confuse you. Memorize the definitions in the book and the grade is yours. L. Rocha comes too class unprepared and seems to lose herself throughout her own "teaching". First semester taking this teacher. Completely disorganized, about 2 weeks off the calendar in the sylabus. Quizes are easy but every class which is annoying. You can breeze through this class easy memorizing vocab but you wont learn anything. For some reason she speaks in spanish mid sentence making her even worse. Contradicts herself all day.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! She teaches the course as if she reads the assigned reading before class and then tries to summarize it during lectures. She always as to refer to the textbook to find answers to the questions that students ask her. Honestly, I don't understand HOW she became a professor; just by her teaching, she is totally underqualified.

DO NOT TAKE PROF. ROCHA! I cannot make it anymore clear. The only reason she is teaching is not because she knows the topics the best, but because she has seniority. Other teachers think she's no good. Take it from my experience, I had her the semester before for 211 and didn't want to take her this semester, but had no choice. HORRIBLE!

OMG! She confuses you in Physiological Psychology, she does not teach you. Then she wonders why there are only 10 students left in the class, who happen to all have "C's or D's", EXPECT for that one "A" student, which is the girl that has a Biology major and also has NO other classes...

unfortunetly this teacher doesn't have a structure top her teaching that is connected and makes sense. Her lectures are different than what she says and half the time she is looking at the book for the answer ( really? i can do that ). i knew before hand the class was not easy so i depended on this teacher to be helpful . unfortunetly, the only way you can pass is if you read the book only! her notes don't connect with what her lectures say and also half the time what is in the notes are not in the quizzes or exams so they are basically useless.

Professor was disorganized and constantly changed the syllabus.So many assignments and home works were due every week for the whole semester. she then decides to slow down the work load the last week of the semester. it was too much to do with so little time. it was basically based on memorization to pass her exams. i didn't feel i learned enough.

One of the worst teachers at SWC. She was constantly asking the students what something meant because she had no idea, at the beginning of class said tests would be worth 40 points then at the end of the semester told us that it was actually out of 45 points. Constantly denying things that the whole class would verify she said.

If you take her class beware you have to come to class everyday, if you miss more then 3 days she will drop you. If you take her class be prepared for inconsistent information and broken promises. Holy crap. She's a nice lady and all but she has no place standing in front of the classroom and teaching people. She almost never knows the answer to common questions about physiology or psychology. Looks easy stuff up during class. If you've taken 1 bio class you probably know more than she does. Tests were so hard, she taught so poorly.

In her psychology 101 class, she's not even teaching psychology! She's teaching statistics. If I even was trying to take a stat class, I DEFINITELY wouldn't even choose her. Too late to drop the class now, unfortunately.

Tests fill in the blank quizzes. And sometimes find a question that had to be off the internet not associated with the book or mindtap. DO NOT describe anything in your own words, in order to be correct it needs to be her interpretations verbatim. She takes points like its dollars, and even if youre in the ballpark, its 100% wrong.

This teacher told us that we required the textbook, yet everything she teaches is different and confuses you. she gives you an outline, a textbook, her lectures, and power points, all of which are giving you different answers to the questions you have to study, sometimes she would give us the WRONG ANSWERS then complain when we gave those answers.

I liked that her class & quizzes were predictable. But I stressed out the night/week before just trying to keep up with taking very detailed notes on EACH section of EACH chapter as this was probably the only way to ensure an A. Interesting stuff to learn but difficult to keep up with. Prof was nice but VERY unorganized. It's more self-learning.

She is absolutely unorganized and is very unclear on what she wants/expects especially when it comes to her semester research paper project. Prepare to feel like you're in grad school because that's basically the amount of work she expects you to put into this class. 10/10 do not recommend whatsoever. Save yourself the aggravation.

A very nice person, although not a great professor. Much of her lectures were confusing, and let us solve problems amongst ourselves, leaving us even more confused when we would ask her for help, she would often say the complete opposite of the lecture. I have been at SWC for two years and I can say professor Rocha does not care about students success. Although she is a nice lady she doesnt provide enough resources to be successful in psychology. After retaking the class with another teacher I can say Rocha is winging her lectures. Started semester with max class finished under 9 and didnt pass.

Poor grading, completely disorganized, we had to correct her half the time, sometimes it felt like she didnt know what she was talking about, or that shed read a brief summary about physiology rather than having pre-collected, in-depth knowledge. does not grade correctly. Low grade due to her grading, I noticed that because I go to tutoring and she still says I am wrong.

Rating her at a 1 is too generous. Students have to teach her sometimes. She shouldn't be teaching this class if she doesn't understand it. Everyone else is correct in calling her a nice person, but she cannot teach a stats class. One time I took a quiz and a question wasn't even finished - it was impossible to answer. Look elsewhere.

Professor Rocha doesn't take students feelings into consideration. When students are having external issues (i.e: family problems, lack of resource, etc.) she doesn't try and make accommodations, and instead doesn't let the student make up work, and will give the student an F. work for the class is also confusing in terms of structure.

Very disorganized. This class is hard and she made it harder. It's very difficult to understand her. She expects us to read her mind or see things with her eyes. In some quizzes she made mistakes. Please don't take her class.
