Ok, so this is the BEST teacher I have ever had! so the reading is a bit much-ok a lot, but as long as you do the study guides and really try your best (show her that you are!) you should be fine. She is very simpathetic to her students and if you stay after class & talk with her on how you feel about the material, you should make a B- or higher!

If i did not understand anything she would state slearly what was needed. Gives enough time for assignments to be turned in, and even more time for late assignment.

Prof. Rosenkranz is awesome! Currently taking her for a DE class for literature. Even if the class is online, she communicates very well and fast with students and is very clear. She's a bit nit-picky, but I would take her again if needed. Strongly recommend!

Overwhelming work load. The syllabus alone is 20 pages. Up to about 50 pages of reading material a week and a multiple page paper due each week. I took eight classes this semester and I worked harder in this class for a B than I did in some classes for an A. She responds to emails very quickly but can be a picky grader. You make the call.

This class and this teacher were one of two of my favorites this past semester. 1301 was bad, walked out with a B so I wasn't looking forward to 1302 although it's one of my best subjects. Mrs. Rosenkranz is one of the best teachers someone can have. She clearly states what she wants and all you have to do is put in effort and an A can be earned.

She's nice and a fair grader. Im not sure what these reviews r talking about, she wasn't hard to me. If u actually take the time to read the stories and not BS through it, she will always give u atleast a B. She knows when ppl BS thats probably why they get low grades!

She is one of the best!!!! very helpful and understanding. If you fail her class it's because you are not attending, easy quiz grades and EASY essay grades, she will basically walk you through the essays so you CANNOT get a bad final grade.. take and and you will make an A.

Professor Rosenkranz is AWESOME...Other than English, I had her for world literature. The readings where long and boring, but she expect you to do the work. A paper is due each week, but it was worth it. I double highly recommend everyone to take her..she is great!

I was nervous about taking her online class based on previous reviews BUT it was not as hard as I expected. Just do the weekly readings and the work. She was very good in responding to any of my emails. Basically, don't take the class if you're going to be lazy. Do the work and keep up with the assingments, you should be fine.

Great teacher! I admit that I like english and writing, but I found several of the readings boring (western lit). Nevertheless, she was very helpful. Only required 1 essay a week on a prompt I chose, about 1-2 pages (easy!!). Also had a very detailed analysis to help with the paper. I would definitely take her class online again! I took her online class. Professor Rosenkranz was very helpful throughout the semester. She would respond to my emails promptly, which made it less stressful on me. As long as you do what she requires, this class will go by smoothly. The material is not difficult, all she asks is you put forth some effort!

Im glad i took Ms. Rosenkranz' classa. She helped a lot and always answered emails fast. She's very fair, and she expects students to do the work. But her assignment handouts are especially good. She's totally cool! I'm going to sign up for her lit class.

I had her as a hybrid class that was only 8 wks long that was in class and computer. She is good at helping and clarity but for English it should really have been an 16 wks class.

I took the 8 week hybrid class, it was probably more difficult due to the time crunch, however, she attempted to make it as easy on us as she could. am going to be clear as a Crystal right now. Am in her class right now as i write this she is a really hard teacher for a 8 week class she grades really hard you need to have what she ask for in your paper or else you get an 50. She is clear on her instructions if you email she will answer fast but if u want to make an A or a B+ do not take care.

I took the 8 week class and it was not easy. If you procrastinate on a daily basis, this class is not for you. This class may be hard but considering that I work about 30 hours every week and still made a B, its not impossible to pass. Remember to give yourself about 3 days or more to work on an essay. The teacher is great and very helpful.

Linda Rosenkranz is excellent! And she's the best teacher i've ever had in college. This semester I was in her hybrid class. She does expect you to read and keep up with the assignments. But she helps and she’s good about staying after class or emailing you. She's fast with emails, she’s sincere and she's a very good teacher.

She is very difficult and a hard grader. I had never in my college life made a 50 or 40 on an essay grade. there is a reading activity every week that requires a lot, I mean a lot of reading and writing. She calls them short response. I would find my self writing 2 to 3 pages every week. If you love to read and write this is your class.

I took this class online with 2 other classes and working full time and got an A. You have weekly reader response everyweek (300-350 words) and maybe 3 essay exams. she is staight forward and the work is not insane. follow directions on each assignment and dont put work off and listen to her comments when she grades your essay. you will be fine.

Very nice. Took her ENGL 2333 online during the summer and it was very easy. Only about 600 words per week to write and no textbook. She is very nice with her responses. Good Professor.

So far this is the first and the only online class that I actually learn the material. You have from 300-600 words respond to write weekly. Doesn't need to be fancy, just as long as you complete your assignment and turn it in on time, you'll have an A. Have to read a science-fiction novel for one essay but I got away by watching the movie adaption.

I took the online course and found Prof. Rosenkranz to not only be very receptive but also always willing to help. She's very clear with instructions and returns emails promptly. She will deduct points for errors which she's previously pointed out but if you listen to her feedback and do your reading and write your essays, it's an easy A.

Do not take this class if your looking for an easy A. She is a tough grader and if your not very good at writing I would not recommend this professor for you. 10 reader responses, 4 essays its too much work. I got a B, just follow all of her instructions then mostly likely you'll pass. If you love writing then this is the class for you

She responds quickly to emails, gives helpful feedback and provides clear instructions. In the DE class, no textbook is used- only 2 novels and handouts she posts. Your grade is based on an intro essay, 3 argumentative essays, 1 research essay, 10 "reader's responses" and 20 "peer responses"- Easy A if you put in the time and do all of the work.

She is hands down the best professor at HCC in her department. If you really want to learn language and literature, take none other than her. If you want an easy A without putting in the required effort, you are knocking the wrong door. Life isn't easy and neither is she, but if you put in the efforts, she will turn you into someone extraordinary.

I have thoroughly enjoyed taking 1302 with Professor Rosenkranz. Her directions and assignments are clear and easy to understand. I liked that you didn't have to purchase an overpriced textbook. However, if you don't like reading novels, this class probably isn't for you. If you take the time to do the assignments, you can easily make an A.

I took this online during the 2nd start period. You will NEED to write. She is very clear, fair, responsive, and helpful. Assigns a reader response each week -350 words. 3 essays 3.5-4 pages long. No exams, no hw, just simple writing assignments. No textbook as she provides all materials online. She is wonderful

I am very taken aback by these negative reviews. Linda Rosenkranz gives very clear guidelines as to how to write a college-level paper. If you are confused, I suggest you email hershe is very accessible, and responds fast. If English is not your strong suite, I suggest you take this course in person, as opposed to online.

I took Professor Rosenkranz online and absolutely loved her. Her instructions are very clear and she grades accordingly. The reading assignments are very good. If you make use of the feedback she gives you, you will have no problem passing with an A. I would definitely take her again if I needed another English class that she teaches.

I took her hybrid class, she is very sweet and caring of her students. If I had a question she would email me back quickly. Very easy class if you do your work and don't procrastinate. I would've got an A in the class if I put more effort into my research paper. I would highly recommend her.

Professor Rosenkranz is an amazing World Lit teacher. She is accessible outside of class and always had time to respond to student emails, even amidst tough times in her own personal life. She is also very caring and accommodating in terms of special circumstances and personal life issues. Great lectures (very funny and relatable) and lots of EC!

Prof. Rosenkranz is great. Everyone that gives her bad ratings is only complaining because they did not put the work in. She gives clear feedback and grades fairly. I missed a deadline and she was very understanding. She expects a lot from her students, and if you take her class, be prepared to read a lot and spend time editing your papers.

Prof. Rosenkranz does not hold back on giving extended literary assignments. But she gives plenty of time as any english class would require. She posts plenty of helpful examples and tips to help with the big essays. Also responds as quick as possible. Ask questions and she will help! Always gives constructive feedback!

Professor Rosenkranz was amazing. She ended class after 30 minutes, while also providing clear instruction. Her instruction is also found online, which is helpful too. I know other students struggled in the class, but that was because they didn't do the actual work! It was work, but it pays off, and she is more than willing to help!

Took this professor in Fall 2022. Her PowerPoint slides were pretty elaborate, in return, she expects a lot from the students. Her requirements were very strict, so it's recommended to double-check the essays to make sure they contain virtually no error. Also, reach out to her if you need help. She answers pretty quickly and thoroughly!

Professor Rosenkranz gave detailed instructions and expected you to follow them closely. If you did this, you were golden. She was very helpful and imforamative, but you have to follow her guidelines for communication through Canvas. I would take her class again due to her instruction style, accessibility, and extra credit opportunities.

Look elsewhere if you just want an easy A. I've learned SO much! Our group chat has people making D's and dropping, but I got an A. You MUST pay attention to details in the assignments and the reading, and you MUST use the tutors (it's required).

Essay writing is not my favorite but I can say the instructions for each assignment were extremely detailed. She knows exactly what she is looking for when grading and using the tutors she requires was another learning experience. Overall, the class strengthened my essay-writing. It was stressful at the time though.
