boring lecturer; exams are easy
relies mostly on text, lectures boring, and sometimes unclear with examples.
Very friendly and relaxed teacher. Tests cover the book almost exclusively.
anyone knows her tests are mc based or any eassy?
booring...2 term papers!
very boring lectures..... exams are hard.....
She is nice, but can't teach. Don't worry too much about exam scores coz she scales the exam scores.
Her lecture are boring & she can't articulate what she wants to say very well, but her exams are pretty straight fwd. It is very frustrating when you try to listen to her speak. Otherwise, the course is not too demanding.
Doesn't know the material well, teaches solely from text. Test questions are straight out of study guide. All Multiple choice. Easy A, but if you're looking to *learn* go elsewhere.
Very boring prof, she honestly makes you want a nap. Basically reads the study guide (which you have) every class, tests are straight forward mc. Hard and randon marker (for papers). Stay clear.
Boring..... No difference going to class or reading the text book~
not one class was i able to stay awake the only good thing was that i met a hot azn girl in the class and thats the only good part soooooooo borrrring
Dreadfully boring. She supplies you with her notes, then puts them on the overhead and reads them.(That's the extent of her lectures). Tests are easy, just do the studyguide cuz 1/2 the questions are word for word from the book.
boring lectures...2 mc midterms, but very hard...1 term paper...1 final...she's a hard marker~~ everything is 25% each~~ i dropped the course just today!!
I attended every lecture in cold winter early mornings .. jog down every words on the overhead.. end up less than 50% in the exam, coz' those questions comes from elsewhere!
her lectures are so boring, she read the notes word for word, didn't learn much, could have read notes by myself, don't need to go to class, hard tests, hard marker, very unclear
horrible....zzzzzzzzzzz thats all that can be said, so boring, she reads her note package word for word, hey linda guess what we're all in college and can read by now, why don't you teach us something
She is a nice person, no doubt. Bad teacher, no doubt. All i can say is that if u take her class, don't even bother with her notes, stucy the text. Nothing came out of her notes for the mid term it was all text!
She is a nice teacher but kinda boring. Just study the text and u'll be able to handle her mid-terms. Exams are all in mc, and not too difficult. Don't study her notes, it's kinda useless.
She is helpful instructer. Very funny and interesting. I enjoyed her class.
very helpful - if this math dunce can pass (and I did with lots of room) anyone can - its a boring topic but she'll get u throgh
Dry subject, but not difficult. Exams gets progressively harder but are all MC and short. Final exam is NOT cumulative. 2 easy homework assignments that are equal to a full MT. Text is important to review for tests. Notes are provided as a booklet(to buy)
she just recites from her notes on the overhead. shes a nice teacher. pretty easy. two midterms all multiple choice and a term paper and a final. all worth 25%. her tests are pretty straight forward.
HORRIBLE!! Seems nice enough, but her class is boring, and she makes you do group presentations, which she doesn't grade fairly at all!!! (not necessary to attend her classes to do well at least!)
a very nice prof. Her final is easier than the mid-term. ilikedher True, she makes u do a group presentation, but it sure beats writing another exam. U must keep on top of things, because a lot of info is covered, and esp. if u're in a condensed class.
BORING!she reads notes all the time, plus we've already purchased her notes in the bookstore. her class makes me sleepy most of the time. dont take her class if you do want to study psychology!
Linda was a very nice, very fair and very understanding teacher. Her exams are all m/c and are straight out of the text book. If you do the reading, you will do fine on her exams. A group presentation is mandatory, the only downfall to this course.
Very personble, but tends to bable and go on unrelated tangents... can't give an example without confusing the entire room... BUT a very straitforward class - read the text and you can't go wrong. No group presentation anymore, but a group essay.
Great teacher! I've really enjoyed having Linda. Very down to earth and funny. The class is never boring because she always has many different activities planned and has many examples to support her teaching. Could not have asked for a better instructor!
no comment.but give a fact:24/46 ppl failed for the midterm.highest is only B. u think about it.
The 24/46 ppl failing the 1st midterm is true. Even if u do all the practice problems & the SG Q's, it wouldn't really help with the midterms. They r all application probs from the theories we've learned, so it's hard to understand. However, really great to talk to,& paper extentsions is possible!

Linda at first comes across as a great, interesting teacher. However, her midterms and final is hard..mostly application questions and they're hard. Even studying the book and her notes will ensure a pass. She's a nice teacher but she is anything but easy.
teaches from her notes, but too much stuff in the text r not covered. Materials from both the notes and texts r tested - you REALLY hav to read the text for exam. I spent lots of time READING, got A- in all exams except paper. All exams are MCs though.
Ms. Scratchley tries to make this class interesting with humour, but the problem is dat she uses too much SCIENTIFIC language. I found myself caught in a sea of vocabulary. So, I attempted to catch up with the course by skimming the text but all the author does is TALKING IN CIRCLES! Hard Exams.
She's awsome and has sense of humor. I like her teaching style that she lectures little but offers examples a lot, which helps you understand the difficult terms. Exams are all MC. Just go through the study guide. But, yeah, she uses too much technical terms.
easy dont even have to go to class her exams are all multiple choice just read the text
Her teaching methods are different, she likes her classes to be very interactive, so be ready to volunteer and get infront of the class.
The ratings I give her are based on the categories. Overall, she is the most boring prof. Her notes are in a booklet which can be bought so going to class is simply her going over them. She goes over lengthy examples which are useless because all the exams are M/C, and involove simple calculations.
She's very helpful and understanding. Classes were quite thorough, but yes straight from the textbook. Just study lots, make notes on the videos and if you're confused, ask her for help. Great Prof for a tough class like psychology where you have to memorize the textbook.
shes a really nice person, but the class is kinda boring and not that helpful for the hard stuff :( the exams are hard! Good Luck if you take the class!
Linda is a wonderful woman! Her tests are short MC. The questions are tricky, and it's hard to get an A even if you have a math backgroung. The course is theory based, not relying much on calculations. If you need this class - take it with Linda! She also teaches it at UBC, so she will prepare you well!
She's a very very lovely person. Very very helpful and understanding.Exams can be difficult if you do not listen to her.The course is not my favorite but she maeks it comprehensible and interesting.
An EXTREMELY nice prof. If you need help, she'll gladly help you. If you're terrible at math, take this course with her because she tries to make things as easy as possibly with math. Her tests are alright, but as the semester ends, they require application of what you learned rather than basic questions so study the concepts well. I recommend her!
I hate math and this a dry, tough class, but Linda is so kind and understanding, she makes it tolerable. She really makes herself available to her students and tries to teach in a way that actually reaches everyone - she'll actually try to adapt her teaching methods for you! She is a rare and special teacher. Don't take her for granted!
Linda's lectures are boring at times, but her examples are useful in helping you understand the material. And she's so nice and helpful! I liked her.
Very imfomative and interesting classes.
good teacher, funny and friendly. tries to make the class interesting, although her tests are not easy, you really need to study and pay attention. learned a lot from her, enjoyed the class.
Prof Scratchley is kind and has good intentions, but i felt she was wasting my time. Instead of attending class, i could have been studying. she didn't help clarification of the material in the lectures at all. she was very helpful one on one though. Overall i didn't feel like she made psych fun for most of us.
this lady has like a billion degrees!!! and yet shes not intimidating @ all... its great about her... shes sooo sweet and funny in her own cute little way i love how shes always gladly willing to answer your questions and help you out!!! great!
Her classes are a giant waste of time. Might as well be taking the course by correspondonce as everything is out of the textbook. I'm very disappointed.
Linda is a great prof! She is very generous with her time. She is willing to clarify the difficult topics with you - take advantage of her office hours! She lets you write notes in your appendix for exams. I find this VERY helpful! She also teaches this course at UBC so she knows what it takes. She is one of my favorite (and best) profs at Langara!
When it comes to her classes, if nobody says a word, yes, they would be dreadfully dull and merely a reading of the overhead projector. However, if the class actually participates and asks questions and adds information, Dr.Scratchley will shine. Wonderful teacher, wonderful person. Exams were harder than I guessed, so be sure to study.
i had her psych1115 class. it seems that she doesn't teach much and i got confused by her and stopped attending her class. it looks like her class doesnt really help unless u study hard in home with ur textbook. not recommended
Her class is torture!! It's a complete waste of time. Her exams are pretty easy if you study from the textbook and watch the videos. So it's possible to skip all her classes and do well.
Took her accelerated Summer Course. THe key is to read the textbook but make connections. In other words, comparisons between two disorders and reading between the lines and not the trying to memorize every fact. I ended up well above class average doing so! Oh and go see her if you have questions about your exam - get to know her style. Good prof.
Linda is an awesome prof! Stats can be daunting but she makes sure that everyone understands the material. You are allowed your appendix 4 tests so you don't have to memorize the formulas & tests are all multiple choice(although increasingly tricky so make sure to study)The textbook is also fantastic so you can do well on the exams. 2% bonus as well
Very creative teacher. Linda Scratchley is essential to good knowledge transmission! Always in a good mood, she shines!
Linda is so awesome. Her exams are hard, but if you study you will do well. She has a great personality, is quirky, her class is fun and really informative. I don't care what she's teaching next semster, I'm taking it!!!!!
Linda is awesome. Living proof that psychologists don't have to be boring :) Unfortunately she's not at Langara next term, or I would be taking more of her classes. Her exams are not easy, but she's gladly give As to the deserving. Also kinda cute... :)
I really enjoyed her class. She kept things interesting by doing a lot of quick class activities. She was fun and very approachable. I would definitely take a class with her again.
If you attend her lectures and study the text hard, you will do fine. Linda kept the class awake in the morning by bringing her lively attitude to her students every class.
Linda is by far the best prof I have ever had! She truly cares about her students and is very easy to talk to. The exams are fair - all MC (not cumulative), if u attend class you?ll do fine.
linda is absolutely wonderful. she approaches psych subjects, and student's questions/discussions with great enthusiasm and passion everyday! she also has fun class excersizes (like systematic relaxing, role-playing, and various other fun class activities) regularly, and types all the class notes for you. all u have to do is read the TEXT & enjoy
Linda, is a nice person, but a horrible instructor.I had her for Applied Psychology and she was the worst, she didn't take attendance, the class walked all over her. The book is your teacher, I wouldn't take her class!
Useless, didn't even do the paper and still passed with decent grade
Energetic but exams are hard. Think she's also a Prof at UBC, maybe that's why. You really need to study the text, notes are not enough for her course.I got a B tho :)
Waste of time & money. Exams don't reflect teaching. You come to class, learn a few things & it doesn't appear on the test (multiple choice). She tells you to read the text book but doesn't teach what needs to be learned. Hard grader too. I'm an A+ student and got a C+ DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE!! Take psyc w/somebody else. WORST PROF EVER!
4 noncumulative mc exams worth 25% each. Although she is annoying recommend her class to ppl who can teach themselves from text - attendance not mandatory! offers 2 opportunities for bonus marks. Pretty easy course if you put in a little effort. text is photocopied so you save money! U can bring your appendices into exams and write notes in them.
Study the textbook and her notes, come to class, start on the paper early, and get an A+. I'm just a C+ student who works hard. Despite what a poster below me posted about her notes not being on the test, I would say 15-20% of the questions are from her notes, and 5% just from being in class.
She is great. I had her a couple years ago and she is sooo nice. Her clothes are a little funny, but I think she enjoys it. Very down to earth.
Classes can be a little boring as they only consist of slides with lecture. She is a good prof though, very nice, funny and knows what she is talking about. She answers questions clearly and is very approachable.
Linda is a great teacher. She's so happy all of the time and she goes over he notes quite well and when you don't understand something, she will go through it to make sure you do. Very helpful during her office hours and she has put all of her notes in a langara booklet so you don't have to write them out.
I think that Linda is a fantastic instructor. She is easy to approach and always pleasant. She speaks quickly in class but provides helpful illustrations of material and does all she can to help students succeed.
OH DEAR LORD, shes sooo nice, but such a hard marker!!!! try avoiding her if you can! really hard exams!!
she's a very nice instructor. fun.. she has lots of nice class activities..and really helpful. initially, i dint like the mcq format of exams she gave, but i guess if u study hard, u get a good grade.. i would like the mcq's answers to be less confusing and maybe less questions overall. but all in all, she's a really nice instructor.take her class!
She's a really nice lady and everything, but I found her to be very confusing. I don't really understand statistics in the first place and she was of little to no help with that. I'm sure she'd be great for an intro psych class, but I don't recommend her for statistics. The MC layout for a stats exam still seems really weird to me.
Unclear teacher, very very fluffy did not really use legitimate studies or numbers. Overall did not make class's worth going to, just read the textbook/studies and you will do fine on the tests
Great teachher, she isnt easy but she makes classes interesting. always has awesome class activities, but sometimes it leads to sitting there for two hours listening to something you already understand when there is so much textbook content that you need to learn still.
she tried her best to teach statistics and make sure we understand the concepts. 3 midterms, 1 final, and 2 bonus assignments. if you struggled through the course, i really think it's the materials, not Linda. overall easygoing and reasonable instructor.
2/3rds of the exams are based out of the text so if you can't teach yourself, i suggest a different prof. Her exams are easy so long as you did the required reading. She is really nice, but sometimes spends too much time on unimportant aspects of the text and leaves the hard, confusing parts up to us with no help.
Linda is awesome, very enthusiastic. Like the other psych prof I had, she makes you read every page of the text and tests on that + what she spoke about in lecture + details of activities you performed. It makes for a lot of work for a prereq but if you put the time in an A+ is very achievable with Linda. She's very nice too, which always helps.
This is an interesting course with a lot of group discussions and somewhat irrelevant group work. However - it is an easy class to do well! Group projects are easy (just be as radical as possible), and exams are easy. Simply reading the material once the night before gets B+ or A's on the exams. She's very nice and outgoing, I enjoyed her class.
A wonderful professor, one of my favourites. She's really nice and her tests are easy if you read the notes and textbook at least once. She takes a lot of the questions off the practice test online. Classes were usually interesting and I really enjoyed them.
Very good, very enthusiastic prof. Her class was never a bore and the information in class was relevant and interesting. Her tests expect that you keep up with the textbook readings and do the practice exams, simple.
Linda is a very pleasant down to earth lady. She genuinely tries her best to help you as much as she can. You can take formulas into the exams and write whatever you want on them, but even then the exams are brutal. Also gives you no time limit with exams and has tutoring sessions. Incredibly difficult class if you're not a math person.
Linda is one of the best professors I have had the pleasure learning from. Never at my time at UPENN or Langara College have I ever had a prof allow students to stay as long as they need after exams to complete them or been as willing to meet with students until they understand the material. I highly recommend her class.
I have mixed feelings towards Linda. Her lectures were very dull ( read off the big paragraphs on the slide), yet, she stuck closely to the text-which makes it easy to review. Work hard and do lots of practice and you'll be okay. Btw, I disagree with the average score of the course, it's definitely not a A-, half of my class failed the final, fyi)
Linda is a dynamic teacher that frequently tries to appeal to her students in a variety of ways. She'll put on skits (she's actually a decent actress!), do different class exercises like live acting and group thought experiments. If you need help she's the kind of prof that will take the time to meet with you whenever she can. A great prof.
Well, if you want to destroy your gpa, go for it. Lectures are boring and material is dry. All multiple choice tests and one essay. Goodluck.
4 Midterms (25% each). That's it. It's Data Analysis so it's really you teaching yourself. Do the questions in the book but MAKE SURE you understand the THEORY part which is at least 75% of MC questions on midterms. Her slides cover ALL THE THEORY you will need to know. Follow along, Linda is SUPER approachable, so go get help ASAP! gluck!
Linda doesn't come to class well-prepared. Very often, she has minute-long pauses during lectures to come up with something. Her lecture materials are dull and dry. It's easy to get a decent grade (B+/A-) by reading your text thoroughly, but you must attend to classes if you want an excellent grade as 1/4 of exam questions check your attendance.
For a stat's class, LInda entertains the class with her humour. Do do ALL the practice questions if you want to do well. The course is based off of the 4 exams. The MC part of the exam has lots of theory so you do need to reread the text multiple times. Linda is helpful if you need help, but you have learn the material yourself. Hard work pays off
Linda is a great prof! Stats is tricky but she makes it doable. I'm so glad I took the class with her. She is super clear with what is going to be on exams and really wants her students to succeed. I would highly recommend taking a class with her (especially stats).
Linda is a great prof and knows the material very well and is very clear in explaining the statistic logic and formulas. She illustrates equations step-by-step so I recommend going to class and copying what she writes on the board, as this will help you on exams. I personally didn't go to many of her classes but when I did I did not regret it!
I barely passed this course. I worked hard at this course, but I am not a "stats person" there is no reason whatsoever to suggest that this teacher is in any way responsible for my (near) failing. If you are willing to do the work you will pass. This is not an easy course. Show up ready to work or go take another curriculum
She is a great teacher. I found her interesting and insightful. She is very intelligent and knows a lot about her field - especially social psychology. She is helpful if you require it, and available outside of class for office hours or questions about exam grade. I think she is fair and gives great feedback.
She is very dedicated and she's there if you need help. It's a stats class, so there's no miracle here, you've got to study. But she know's math is not the easiest thing to everyone so she tries to make it accessible. I'm glad I had her as an instructor.
Took PSYCH 1215 with Linda and dispite working incredibly hard on the group project we recieved an average grade on the paper. Turns out she uses UBC graders and doesn't even look at your work. Also didn't communivate properly with Disability Services for my exam and I was given 60 minutes to answer 106 questions. Avoid her if posible.
I only took stats because I needed it for my major, hence the rating for level of difficulty, but Linda herself is great. She is very accessible and helpful if you need. I strongly encourage going to her office hours if you don't understand something as she will take the time with you until you do get it. Strongly recommend!
Linda might be the best prof I've had so far at Langara. I thinks she realizes that stats is tough for a lot of arts majors, so she does everything she can to help us understand and succeed. I was legitimately scared of this course before taking it but she made it accessible and actually enjoyable. She's also a great lecturer, so class is fun.
She is the best and most helpful prof I've ever had. Always willing to help and is full of positive encouragement. Super respectful and if you go to her office hours she will help you with anything. I joined this course one week before the midterm due to some mixups and I still got A+. She was so helpful with the paper assignment.100% recommend
Linda is one of the best professors that I have had. She is funny and engaging. She does a great job at explaining various concepts. Textbook reading is an absolute must. Attending class is also key to success as Linda puts lecture material on the midterm. Go to class, review your lecture notes, and read the textbook chapters thoroughly.
3 midterms and 1 final; each worth 25% and covers a few chapters. Linda is a great professor, makes stats incredibly easy (I hadnt taken a math class in 10 years). Attendance is not mandatory but HIGHLY recommended as she not only teaches you the steps to complicated formulas but allows time for you to practice in class. Read the textbook!!!
a very tough grader . miss class you wont pass. doesn't helps much outside the class. a tough course like stat and a prof like her, you got to work really hard and that too all by yourself. it was a compulsory course and she was the only prof who teaches it. otherwise i would not have taken her. never gonna take another course with her.
Attendance isn't mandatory but there are a lot of things she talked about in class that were on the test. We were only graded by 3 tests (2 midterms and the final) and one paper that was quite difficult. She was nice and funny but sometimes it was hard to understand concepts since she doesn't go over stuff from the textbook during class.
fun, teaching style is really affectionate as she synchronizes her teachings with a bundle of her past experiences and create an environment of Tasks in the lecture hall by making teams of students.I could analyze, she believes the best method to attain higher marks eventually is to, attend her each and every lecture slide read all book topics daily
Great teacher/tough class! Linda was always willing to spend time answering our questions both inside and outside of class. She's lighthearted but keeps the class moving at a quick pace. If something confuses you be sure to ask during lecture; she's always happy to clarify. She has this class fine tuned and knows how to teach it perfectly.
Professor Scratchley is a great teacher, very approachable and has a light-hearted, fun personality. Tests are mainly multiple choice. Be careful who you choose to be in a group with for the paper; I wish that I had done it on my own. Must show up to classes. There are several videos shown in the course that are testable material.
She's a kind, understanding, and cheerful professor. Grouped students up for activities in the lecture hall during discussions. However, I find that having a textbook is really helpful because I noticed that in a chapter she was teaching, she had included another topic from a chapter that wasn't supposed to be taught in psyc 1215.. be careful guys
Linda is very passionate and enthusiastic about social psychology in particular, which results in engaging and interactive lectures. She includes in-class activities to break it up so its not all listening to her talk. I went to her office hours and she went out of her way to help me research my future courses and even ubc requirements. Very kind.
Linda has a fun quirky personality and she's not afraid to be expressive! Her exams are multiple choice and rather lengthy! 80-100 MC questions. Definitely read the book as well and do practice questions from the d2l/brightspace psychology resources.
Has 3 midterms and 1 final (all worth 25%). It's pretty obvious that she does not prep for her lectures but her knowledge with data analysis makes up for it. Make sure to do her practice questions because it will be identical to what's on the midterm(s). Overall she's a nice person and she lets you write your exams even after lecture time ends.
Linda is honestly a great professor! She helps you understand the material by her notes and slides but you have to read the text to really understand what is going on in class, clearly. There is an online practice guide for the exams which is multiple choice, not that tricky. Great booster for those who actually take initiative to learn and study.
She does not include any marks for quizzes or any projects , its straigtforward 25% for 3 exams and 1 Research PAPER
Marks are given from 2 midterms, 1 term paper, & a final exam - all worth 25% Linda provides practice tests that are very similar to the actual exam so if you do well on them you will do well on the exam. She provides multiple opportunities to receive extra credit, so it's easy to bump up your grade. If you put in the effort it's an easy Ap
Honestly she was one of the worst teachers I've ever had at langara. I always would always go to her office hours, yet she was not willing to help me she would always make me feel stupid. I have really bad anxiety, so whenever I asked her for help she always made me feel stupid. She was always under prepared for her lectures and she pauses a lot..
Great teacher and is super passionate. You have to attend her classes to get some of the questions on the exams. Beware of group paper project- I partnered with someone and got a low grade. They're marked very critically. She is very reasonable when talking to her about issues. Goes deeper than the curriculum required for PSYCH 1215. Funny also!
her classes are boring, 80 percent students either use phone or FB on thier laptops, the reason is very clear because her communication skills are not good. the grading scheme is very simple 50% form 2 mid terms, 25% for final, 25% for group project. just read book you will easily get good grade.
Linda is a good teacher and she would always make extra time for zoom or to answer emails. But she is a very touch grader, specially in the group projects. Pay attention to her explanations and ideas, unfortunately a few times I wanted to ask about my ideas in the projects and she would leave me still with questions unanswered.
If you can avoid her class at all costs, she is a tough marker and is extremely rude and impatient. She would make others feel stupid for not understanding something. She expects you to know things off the bat (we are not teachers) honestly she needs to be replaced or have more teachers teaching this course because the options suck...
Linda is an awesome prof. Anyone who gives her a low rating are probably the students who expect to be handed a good grade. As long as you complete your assignments on time (easy) and ask questions, you will get at least an A-. It's also possible to earn extra bonus marks for this course.
Dont take this class, youre basically teaching yourself the entire time. No zoom classes, if you read the syllabus there are missing due dates for some assignments so you would unintentionally miss deadlines, group projects are highly graded which sucks bc its all online. Her instructions on discussions arent detailed so miss marks. She sucks.
Very laid back, all tests including final were multiple choice. Very easy grader on group projects as well. Could not recommend her more.
youre just reading the textbook and a mc midterm every two weeks, she doesn't do much teaching. i thought most of her rubrics were detailed but felt like the criteria could've been more specific for the projects. still an easy A though. I'd only take her class again because its easy. psych lab quizzes help!
classes started on 10/01 due to omicron, instead of 6th. all other profs were sending emails to students saying we're starting on 10th, this prof decided to have "the zoom class" on the 6th/SHORT notice/ and assignment. missed the 1st class, no time to submit any work. dropped her class, will take the psyc w/ better prof who will follow the rules.
Her classes are extremely boring and attending to this awful lectures will make the same difference as you only read the textbook and do the homework. I dont know if its a medical thing but she always sttuters when she is explaining the topics. Whenever you have a written assignment she will always take marks off for nothing.AVOID HER.
Linda truly is exceptional. lectures were an absolute delight. Her genuine care for her students was evident in every session. She offered regular office hours and maintained open communication to address any concerns we had. I am grateful for her assistance, her teaching played a pivotal role in helping me secure an outstanding grade in her course
Great prof, caring and helpful during office hours. What I loved about Linda Scratchley is that she meticulously covered everything in class that would be on the test. This means there is nothing on the test that she hasn't explained. If you write a draft of your paper in advance of the due date, she'll take a look at it and guide you. So generous!
Great prof. Cares about what she does and it shows. If you pay attention and follow her instruction you will do well
She's a really nice person. However, her first 2 exams were misleading and were difficult to understand. Her teaching methods are also a little confusing especially when it came to group assignments or other assignments that are worth a good portion of the course mark which caused me to lose a lot of marks. I would say she's passable at best.
Lectures were not very interesting and occupied an unnecessarily long 3 hour time slot, she had a decent sense of humour at least. There is content exclusively covered in lectures on the exams, so you will have to sit through them if you want the best grade. The grading criteria she gave for written assignments was a terrible point of reference.
If you read the book and I mean really read the book, you'll get a really good mark. The assignments are graded very harshly and remember, she doesn't grade it herself, so it's worth knowing that if you wanna go over your assignment, you might get a better grade (happened to me). Overall, good tests and ok assignments
