A great instructor. Mrs. Tarrago is very eager to help with you with your classes, career, and personal life. She is a very great role model for those who need someone to look up to.

she's very clear about what she expects you to know. she's not difficult to talk to when you need to ask questions during and outside of class. she's excellent at explain stuff from the book to real life scenarios.

Tarrago's a great teacher. She keeps the class interesting with her great public speaking skills, and her interesting anecdotes. She is very helpful, if you ever need something, she's there in a flash. She's not the easiest teacher, but you'll definitly learn in her class.

Mrs. Tarrago is THE instructor for all your accounting classes. You actually LEARN something useful for your future and it isn't boring. Although, she is a very busy lady...she will ALWAYS make time for you if you have questions.

She is great! I suck at math but I got A's in all of my tests. She gives many examples and tries to make the subject fun. Many homework assignments and quizzes and a crazy project, but I totally recommend her!

Tarrago is the way to go. She is one of the best teachers i have EVER had. Very approachable and will help you out whenever you need it. Some HW assignments and pop quizzes, but the real killer is "the project". She lets you work in groups, so it makes a big project pretty easy. An A+ teacher all the way.

Very helpful during office hours, study her lecture notes, it is exactly what the test is on.

I took her for ACG 2021, ACG 2071, and now IDS 2110. I think she's an awesome teacher (or else I wouldn't have taken her 3 times). You can tell she really enjoys teaching and wants us to learn.

Good teacher. Took her for both financial and managerial accounting. Very helpful and willing to answer questions. Tests are pretty much verbadum from the lecture notes....make sure you study them. Quizzes definetely help out the grade, so make sur eyou do well on them...overall a pretty good teacher.

Tarrago is great! She's always there when you need help. If you go to class and do the homework you'll get an A.

Mrs. Tarrago is a very good teacher. You cando bad on the tests and still pass her class....doesn't mean you can fail all of them though. Make sure you are in class for the quizzes and homework...brings up your grade. Do the extra credit. Always willing to help if needed. Goes out of her way to help the students. Definetely recommend!!

I took FINANCIAL and MANAGERIAL accounting.She is totally helpful always in her office.The project is a little hard for Financial, but I got through it just fine. Absolutely take her she knows her stuff. I got A's in both classes she is fantastic.

I took Prof Tarrago's class because of all of the compliments from this website. I was not disappointed. Great class, easy to understand, and Prof Tarrago knows her stuff. Tests were based off of lectures and lecture notes. For business majors, the best accounting professor at HCC. Take this class and you won't be disappointed.

great teacher! i had to drop the class at USF and got an A at HCC. Didnt use the book at all..everything you need to know is in her lecture notes. TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT! tests are straight from her lecture notes. I wish i could have taken her for managerial also.

She is an awesome teacher! I took her over the summer and i thought it was going to be really hard but i got an A! definatly take her if you have the chance. everything is straight from her lecture notes. I am def. taking her for managerial next semester!

She is a great teacher and I enjoyed taking her class. Although she is not the easiest teacher out there, you will learn a lot with her. It is very helpful that she was lecture notes; it saves tons of time and makes following along much easier. Just show up, do your work, and you should have no problem getting an A.

very good, very fair professor. i would not describe her class as easy but she does a great job explaining the material and is always available to help. i would take her for any class she teaches. she really cares and gives every opportunity wanted for extra credit.

AWSOME teacher! She has a great teaching style and always keeps you involved and doing group work to prepare you for quizzes and tests. I recommend her 8weeks back to back courses. Going to class is very beneficial. If you go to class you should have no problem getting an a or b.

She is the best,she is not boring at all. Financial Accounting is a hard class; however, her teaching methods are incredible. She even made us play bingo one day, and we saw the same questions on the test. Tests are not easy, and they are long, but the exercises are the same ones we have worked on in class.TAKE HER 7 WEEK CLASS. LOTS OF XTRA CREDIT

She is a professor you will thank yourself for taking. She is passionate, knows what she is talking about and makes herself readily available to help you. She makes class interesting for every type of learner, where you can work with other students and amply what you have learned to real world applications. Just follow the notes guide and show up.

Great teacher, very helpful. I took the 7 week financial accounting class and learned a ton. You definately need to go to class everyday because there is always a quiz and class project. There is a lot of HW but it doesnt affect your final grade too much. I would reccomend taking her class.

GREAT teacher, loves accounting, and is funny and has great energy. TONS of HW, but I took the 8 week course, but it's not that bad.

I took the 8 week course for ACG2021 with her. Since its a short course be prepared to do A LOT of homework. She makes the class fun and there's lots of extra credits and group projects. She does exam review with clickers. The mid term and final is based on her lecture notes so really study those. I'm taking Managerial 8 wk next. Great teacher

Tarrago kept it real. She basically hands out A's for hw, quizzes, class projects. Stay on top of those and start studying the lecture notes hard a couple weeks before the exams. Dont miss class either.

Excellent teacher

fast paced and easy to comprehend. she is too hung up on helping people. if you don't ask for help, she takes offense. but if you walk up during the test and ask her help, she will show you how to do the problem. every assignment is a group project. if you are a strong student and refuse to carry the slackers/morons she will dock your grade.

She is very knowledgeable in her subject. Her teaching style is very fast paced but she is extremely helpful. If you don't understand something, ASK, otherwise you will fall back very quickly, making it more difficult to understand later. Lots of homework but also lots of extra credit opportunities. I wish all instructors were like Ms Tarrago.

Tarrago is a great teacher :) she is well organizes and her hw and quizes that she gives are very easy, exam problems looks just alike as in your lecture notes. No point of having a book we never used it.

Had her for Finanical and Managerial Accounting. Very good teacher. Class is not easy and there is a lot of homework and projects. She explains things very clearly and cares about everyone doing well. For a class as difficult as this one, you won't find a better teacher. A lot of extra credit offered.

The class is very fast paste, there is a lot of homework and pre quizes. It is very time consuming but the teacher is excellent and will help you as much as you let her. She gives you many chances to bring your grade up and makes the class as interesting as she can. She is amazing and I will take her again for managerial accounting.

The class is fast paced only 8 weeks, but for the limited class meetings I feel I learned a ton. You have prequizes due online before each class, HW, and in class group quizes and individual. All are very beneficial and when you pay attention theres no way to not make a good grade one of the good teachers at HCC I am taking her again for managerial

Professor Tarrago is the best IDS Professor at HCC. She connect her students to real life service. I would recommend Mrs. Tarrago to anyone that is taken the exist course

She is excellent. She loves the material and knows it very well. She helps a lot and take care of you. You'll have to do quizzes, pre-quizzes, homework, and projects but is very interesting. Only 8 weeks and you are done.

Best accounting teacher!! I took her 8 week class on campus. You need to go to class and put in effort but if you do that you can get an A. There are no surprises on her tests, she tells you exactly what you need to know and what you need to study. I will be taking her 8 week course for managerial accounting

Met her once in my life on an optional orientation before an all online class - crystal clear guidelines, made this boring stuff amazingly interesting and it was actually a pleasure (first time in my life) doing homework. Was an easy A for me. No problems with anything whatsoever. Take her, she's great!

Expectations were clearly stated in the syllabus and emailed questions were answered promptly. There was a delay in grading the first project and I still don't know what I got but lots of Extra Credit Opportunities to boost up grades. Online quizzes and homework due weekly helped keep procrastinators (like me) focused.

I took her 7 week online Financial Accounting class during the summer, it was pretty straightforward. Although I do attend UF, so this was much easier than that I received an A, the final is online and if you don't understand anything just google it. Lots of extra credit.

I took Prof. Tarrago for both Accounting classes and I absolutely loved her! Her lectures are very clear and the workbook that she made for the class helps immensely. She even helped me out with a personal financial issue I had, she's very helpful and nice and I wish she was at USF so I would be able to take her again!

Great teacher and very smart, one of the smartest I have had. For basic financial accounting, no way I would take her again. VERY HARD CLASS. The class project for semester (cybertext) very difficult. You have 2 tests that are 60% Class average 60% or lower! Thats absurd. usually 1 or two LOW A's, with half the class with F's both tests.

Tarrago was amazing ! I took her 8 week financial and managerial accounting class although I was hesitant to do so. Im glad I did I knocked out both classes and got above a C in both. Be on top of your work and youll do fine !

If you're going to choose Tarrago, I recommend in-person. I took her online only, and I am just lucky she outlined everything in the syllabus properly. I have a strong feeling she would be more beneficial in person! Big project at the end but follow her deadline suggestions and you'll be finished a month before it's due.

Professor Tarrago is an amazing teacher. If you are going into the Accounting / Business field do yourself a favor and take her courses. She is so knowledgeable and relates the information to real-life situations. I am so happy that I took her, she really is such an asset to HCC.
