She is great and makes the material more exciting than it is. However, there is a lot of info to learn and you have to work your ass off. I'm really glad I took her though.

She is very strange, but a great teacher. So what if you have to read the book? It is very interesting and she has a gazillion stories that make the class really cool and fun. She is very intelligent and generous with grades.

This class is definately NOT easy, and although she may be a bit disorganized at times, if there is a question on a test that wasn't covered, she will throw it out. LOTS OF WORK...tons of notes, hard tests, but a very relevant and worthwhile class to take

Read, pay attention & MEMORIZE. It was the best class of students and best professor I've ever had, but the class was grueling for a Fall A course. Don't expect this to be easy - expect to work HARD for your well earned grade. I loved it.

If you go to SFCC, you are seriously missing out if you dont take a Linda Tyson class. While not the easiest class in the world, her passion and charisma easily make up for this, and turn this class into one of the 2 classes that I actualy looked foward to going to.... The other class was tought by her as well.

Great professor. The tests are incredibly hard! However, if you do the reading notes you'll pass. DO THE READING NOTES! As a business major I hated every moment of the class.... but she'll help you pass.

She knows her stuff but has a hard time explaining it correctly, because I don't know anyone who would have done well without all of those reading notes.. which made me want to kill myself, by the way. All that crap I wrote and I'm probably still going to get a bad grade in the class.

Loved both of her classes and I am planning on taking another 2 classes with her. If you do the notes you get extra credit on your tests. Lots of extra credit projects don't hurt either. If you actually read the book and take the notes this teacher is an easy A in any of her courses.

She was really funny. Tells a lot of stories but usually they're relative. The biggest piece of advice is DO THE READING NOTES!! Take notes until your hand falls off...it will help your grade tremendously. I got 20 points added on to one of my tests.

I enjoyed this class. Just listen to what she has to say. She'll make up fun ways to remember things and she's really entertaining. You need to show up for every class and she requires a lot of notes on the book. She'll tell how to take them, what she wants, and you can get a lot of extra credit points from them! I wish I had done the extra credit.

Learned lots of interesting things in the class. LOTS of reading, which is quized on and counts as extra pts on tests (15-25 pts per test) Reading notes took me 2.5 hours to do per ch. and usually 2 or 3 chs. per week. EVERYTHING is tested. You can only miss 2 classes, but u can be late. Hard core teacher! Lots of HW time needed!

energy and ecology is a very interesting class when taught by Tyson. Towards the end of the term, make sure you read a land remembered... even if you think you remember all of it. Great teacher, down to earth and personable. very lenient and sometimes hard headed. I enjoyed this class. Glad to be in it.

She is an awesome professor! Not only does she make class interesting with all of her personal experiences as a biologist, but her stories actually relate to the topic and she explains topics really well. Her class isn't easy, but she is extremely fair. I took biology 2 years ago and her teaching still has a lasting effect on me.

Fascinating class, knowledgeable teacher, but be prepared to invest a great deal of time in this class, not only on field trips, but on a great deal of non-class time as well. Not a class for those who have trouble with memorization. She will work with you if you have difficulty, but she warns you from the first class that it moves very quickly.

Linda Tyson is so cool. I loved her human behavior class, I felt like I really, really learned a lot and I actually cared about what I was studying. She is extremely knowledgable about what she teaches and very smart. I plan to take another class with her, just because she's such a great teacher. yes, it was a lot of work, but it was not unbearable

Prof. Tyson is a-mazing. I took her environmental science class twice a week and she made the class take quizes every class, but they are just extra credit on the exams. So, they will help you a lot. If you take notes (you have toi take notes on one or two chapter between classes) you will get a A or B.

She is very interesting and very concerned about her students. She just require communication. Yes, it is alot of writing but it's extra credit and it can bring your test grades up about 2 letter grades if you do it. You will learn alot. She's not bad...i've taken 2 of her classes and it's fine.

I'ma Engineering major who took this class for a science cred. I found her lectures very interesting and useful. She wants notes for E.C. but that takes ~4hrs a chapter. I don't have time for that so I just read them before the test and still got an A. She is more concerned about you actually learning than a test grade, which is a good thing.

Professor Tyson is HARD, but she is excellent! You have to show up to every class, go on the field trips, and study outside of class to get a good grade. For someone who isn't a science major being able to get that biology credit in 6 weeks out of such a fun class was excellent. I would take another class with her in a heartbeat!

You really have to be self directed to do well in FL Flora & Fauna. The teacher is incredibly helpful with the class material but there are highly involved independent projects so beware if time management isn't your thing. Also prepare to do a lot of walking, work hard, learn hard, play hard.

i LOVE prof. tyson! she is absolutely AMAZING:) she def puts you to work though. if you don't want to put any effort into your class then i would not recommend taking this one. my favorite part about her class is that we actually read the book. her tests are challenging, but not if you study..there's a LOT of homework but she makes it well worth it

I took biology with Dr. Tyson while joint enrolled. I found her class challenging, but wonderfully interesting and appreciated her intense passion for what she was teaching. I was actually googling her today so I could thank her for teaching me, "Mendel the monk grew peas with a purpose."

i took her 6 week course, and yes, i took a lot of notes from the book, and did my time watching videos, but i also got a good grade. she is very thoughtful and teaches with a purpose.

This was a really great class!! Be prepared to take notes and commit a LOT of info to memory. You'll learn so much in a short time- sometimes it seems overwhelming but stick with it. The field trips are a blast! Flashcards are critical. The books are inexpensive and you WILL use them (READ Priceless Florida). Don't forget your click-click notebook!

Awesome teacher, a lot of reading but definitely a fun class.

This is a pretty fun class and she teaches if fairly well. The WHOLE class is based on the course book, The Third Chimpanzee, so there is a lot of reading involved. Lots of reading quizzes but they count as extra credit on exams. I learned a few interesting things from her and she is really enthusiastic about the class. B careful, she gets moody!

This is a great class! It does rely heavily on the book simply because you take reading notes on most of the chapters. The reading notes are extra credit on your tests and really help you learn the information. Prof. Tyson makes the class interesting and the lectures are NOT boring. If you work hard you'll get the grade you want.

Listen folks im not an A student in science by any means. I will say though if you WORK really hard (mostly writing notes) you can achieve a Bin this class, I did. This class you can not sleep through like most at Santa Fe and you actually learn something. WOW imagine that.

Challenging course that where grades are strictly determined by attentiveness to detail. Notes, textbook reading, and lecture discussion create the test material. Extra-credit allows students to boost class average if willing to dedicate themselves to the tasks and homework assigned.

Very very kooky, but it works well in the class. Boring, dry material is easy to forget. I still need to shake the habit of thinking "Plant Kingdom!" whenever I show my middle finger. She requests a ton of reading notes. I somehow managed a B+ without them, but I highly recommend putting in the work to get the bonus points.

I took Dr. Tyson's course 'The Biology of Human Values'. It was incredible. YOU HAVE TO READ. YOU HAVE TO TAKE NOTES. EVERYTHING is on the exams. But she is an incredible teacher, and I guarantee that you will remember everything you learn in her course. She is such a wealth of knowledge, you would be missing out if you didn't take her course.

Reading the book and taking *GOOD* notes are critical. You will learn (and remember) some really great info but you're in for a bit of work. Professor is awesome, and she really knows her stuff. The book can be a little dry but her lectures will stick in your brain forever. If you're lucky, she may sing. Remember: "Culture is a learned behavior".

This is my second time taking one of Pro.Tyson's class and I'm still satisfied. Love her way of teacher. You have to take REALLY good notes, and be attentive in class. No room for slacking. She is a bottomless pit of information. She doesn't go by a strict schedule and sometimes you may feel uncertain about due dates.

This is not an easy class. She assigns reading notes for extra credit, if you want to pass you will do them. If you're lazy, don't take the class. I thoroughly enjoyed her class, her stories and very interesting!

It is an intersting class but a lot of work at home and at school. mandatory attendance you wont do well if you miss lecture notes or do the reading notes and no study guide for any of the tests so studying is challenging you MUST be organized

By God, the coolest teacher thus far! I actually retained a lot of the information and will hope to re-encounter her again in perhaps another class or on cloud 9. Her lectures for a Spring A class might not be the grandest, but overall, a very intellectual and nice teacher that anyone would be lucky to have as a grandmother. She rocks period.

Absolutely amazing teacher. I received an incomplete due to my boyfriend passing during the class. But I cannot wait to take it again. She's a great person and teacher. A lot to learn in a short time but well worth it. I can't say enough positive stuff about this woman.

This is the best class I have taken in college. Every class is a field trip and I found that this is absolutely the best way to learn. Professor Tyson is incredibly knowledgable and her enthusiasm is contagious. The class is very challenging, but worth every moment of time that you'll put in. Professor Tyson is very available to her students.

Interesting class about the many native plant and animal species of Florida and their impact on us and our impact on them. The professor is very knowledgeable and is passionate about the subject, which makes for an exciting hands on lecture, as most classes are spent out in the field in first hand observance of flora and fauna.

This is college. Work is required... get over it! She does ask a lot from you but in 6 weeks you're done. Loved how she handled the class. Spent very little in classroom and most time hands on. Absolutely by far the best class. If you need a revamp from typical boring classes this is what you need. I plan on taking another class with her. GREAT

Professor Tyson is by far the most remarkable teacher I have ever come across. You WILL learn in this class! She requires A LOT of reading notes/reading but it isn't anything that you shouldn't already be doing for yourself. Everything she teaches on is for YOUR benefit. I hope to take a class of hers again. Be prepared to be amazed!

Tyson is very knowledgeable but theres A LOT of work for an entry level class. Reading notes have to be 8+ plus pages done HER way or you will NOT receive credit for all the work done. Movie notes are also required at 5+ plus pages. Test aren't too hard but her formate is complicated. If you miss class you can't turn in any notes for that day!!

Do not take this class unless you have nothing else to do. Its demanding you basically teach yourself, there is no study guides. She is weird and if you miss class you only hurt yourself and grade. This is an intro class but she makes it harder and I took in Fall B. You have to write entirely too much. We had a full class and ended with 14.

Very good instructor, especially for new students as there are lessons in critical thinking throughout the course. Her lessons are well planned and she is very approachable and available.

Just know what you're getting into.....she errs on the side of over-eccentric throughout the semester and is concerned with her class, not what you have going on outside of that. If you're not prepared for a lot of outside-class work, don't take her. She's relentless.

Be prepared to write and come to class.. the work is not hard, just annoying... If you do reading notes and NPR you can pass a test even if you fail.. as long as she sees you do the notes for the most part she likes you... the more you participate the better!!!

I Really recommend this teacher. She presents this class in a way that makes us aware the the environment and places around us. She also teaches you the essentials as far as taking notes and improving work ethic. The teacher is a really nice lady and is willing to help people. If you haven't taken this class yet expect to learn meaningful things.

Excellent teacher. You will need to spend hours each week reading and studying. It's a time consuming course but worth it. If you would rather complain about doing the class work instead of doing the work I would not recommend this course. Either you do the homework or you will not pass. Although I did not receive an A from this professor, she is a great professor to have and you can expect to receive the grade for the work you put in. This class is a lot of work, I mean a lot! But you do learn a bunch, and she cares about your interests.

I took EVS 1001 for a 6 week hybrid course and it was very fast pace. Same amount of work covered in the 16 week class. Not an easy A. Notes and videos were very time consuming. Wouldn't recommend if you have to work a lot. I learned a ton from this course and found it very interesting.

YOU GET OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN. IF YOU DON'T PUT IN THE EFFORT TO LEARN THE SUBJECT, THEN YOU WON'T BE SUCCESSFUL. THE FIELDTRIPS ARE FUN, BUT EVERYTHING SHE SAYS COULD BE ON THE TEST. DON'T EXPECT AN EASY 'A', OR EVEN AN EASY 'B'. YOU CAN WORK FULL TIME WITH A FULL SCHEDULE AND STILL PASS, BUT EXPECT MANY HOURS A WEEK WRITING NOTES AND STUDYING.

Expected to get a C, tests killed me, quizzes were rough. But it was fun, I learned alot, and shes a fair and helpful teacher. Quirky though she may be. The field trips were great, and I'll be attending them again for sure, if I can. But that goes to show how fair she is, you dont have to ace everything, to get an A, Would recommend to anyone.

Best science teacher available. She used to teach at UF, but came back to SFC because she hated not knowing her student's names or interacting with them. Prepare to WORK in this class. Linda has an excellent teaching style and she will give you the tools needed to succeed in future classes. I highly recommend you take her for any course she teaches.

Professor Tyson is one of those people who will talk to you about anything you want advice on, and she is incredibly inspirational. Probably one of the HARDEST, yet most rewarding classes I've ever taken. However, Tyson is a great professor; enthusiastic, passionate, and inspiring. Professor Tyson is one of the best! I for one did not like science, but passed the semester with a B. Make sure you do all of the work, listen when she speaks, take notes and you'll be good. even if you fail the tests, the extra credit that goes towards it, boosts the grades! Enjoy!

Overall shes a really nice lady, however the course work load is intense. You will have to read every night and take pages of notes. Expect her to be checking your stuff too. Do not skip or you'll miss everything. Everything she talks about IS on the exam.

She is an amazing professor. She has a lot of knowledge and this class is beautiful if you care about nature and humans origins, but if you don't like to read just don't take this class. She never liked my notes even with 8 and 10 pages long, so I didn't get much extra credit, class is only based in 4 exams there is no other way to gain points.

Professor Tyson is so passionated about her field. If you really want to kniw abiut how to think of environmental problems this class is the one you want to take. However, be aware you are going to do a lot of study and reading.

If I could take Professor Tyson for every bio class I would. Her love of bio is infectious and her lectures are wonderful. You will do a lot of writing outlining some sort of book in her class and she is thorough about checking your work. There is a lot of material so make sure you study. Not an easy class but very educational.

Her class is wonderful and I would suggest taking the full semester for it so you can get all you can out of it. You will be doing a lot of writing outlining the textbook so I wouldn't suggest a condensed course for that reason too. She will check your work so make sure you do it and study for her tests because there is a lot of info.

Tough class, I've ever taken. If you are a hearing (auditory) learner, this is the perfect class for you! If you are visual learner, it's going to be tough because she does NOT do PowerPoint. I advise you to do "reading notes," show up to class and write down what she says. Test was difficult and I hardly pass if it wasn't for reading note. 5 exams

One of my favorite classes thus far! Attendance is 100% essential to passing. Tyson is strict (like no phones in class) but you learn so much you get used to it. Reading notes count towards exams, this helps..A LOT. The book is required but you actually read the entire thing. Show up to class, do reading notes, STUDY and you'll pass.

Very good at conveying what she needs to say. The class is tought fully out of a book and everything is centered around it. Homework is reading and note taking, all chapters have quizzes that are extra credit for the test. All in all a very good teacher who makes the class fun.

Reading Notes. Dear Lord, the reading notes. I filled up an entire 3 subject notebook during Fall A. 20 + hours of videos and she makes you write notes HER way. Class was ran like a high school but she was so knowledgeable about her stuff. It changed how I look at the Environment form here on out. She gives extra credit. Try your hardest A

Awesome class and Professor! Be ready to write a lot of notes, but each chapter of notes completed will earn you extra credit on each exam. (Brought me from C average to A) Definitely a great professor and would recommend to anyone! This was a class I looked forward to go to and listen to her lectures and stories each week

I had prof Tyson for 3 consecutive semesters. I cannot overstate how life-enriching class time with her was. She exudes experience. To succeed in any of her classes you need to put in a LOT of time but it's immensely rewarding. If you really want to learn about the world, you'll be delighted by any of her classes.

Professor Tyson really makes sure that you understand the material. Her lectures are funny, but you MUST take very good notes. For homework, you have to read and outline the textbook in a specific way. If you do not show up to class, you WILL NOT pass the class. She does, however, give loads of extra credit opportunities that are not hard.

You will read and outline the entire textbook, but all of it goes towards extra credit on the tests. I walked into the final exam with a 105% in the class. The lectures are very interesting and funny. She has a different way of teaching that makes the material stick in your head.

Good teacher, smart as well as funny. Be ready to read a lot however if you read and participate its an easy class.

This class requires a ton of memorization. There are notes and projects that take time but there are amazing field trips and fantastic class interaction. Prof. Tyson interacts with each student and makes sure they interact with each other. Florida Flora and Fauna is worth the work. Prof. Tyson gives scientific info as well as fun facts. Enjoyable.

Best class ever. Expect to write up to 70 pages of notes, do a diorama of animals, and plant pressings. Final is LONG. But, I loved the walking lectures and the class was almost always outside on field trips! We went to Cedar Key and saw dolphins, explored many parks and laughed about "exploding hot dogs." Great teacher , flexible, but tough.

Professor Tyson can be little jarring at first, but once you get used to the class and what she expects from you it is very enjoyable. I learned A LOT and her lectures were truly engaging and interesting. She offers enough extra credit for you to get over 100% in the class so as long as you put enough effort in, you will get a good grade.

Tyson is a tough professor and she makes you work for your grade. You basically outline the entire textbook which can be tedious but the extra credit quizzes on your reading notes make up for it in the end. The only grades in the class are the 4 exams and she drops the lowest graded exam so make sure you know the material.

Honestly, I didn't like her at first. But she is actually a great teacher, you can tell that she genuinely wants you to learn from her. You'll have to read and really study the material, but you shouldn't expect anything less out of a college course. She inspired me to think about things in different ways, and she's quite funny in lectures.

Professor Tyson was very understanding and helpful in my academic situation. She allowed me to get an extension due to having the flu! Her class is very interesting and if you complete the reading notes, videos, and study, youll do great in this course!

The assignments are tough, but she have a lot of extra points that will you pass the class.

I had professor Tyson for a Global Change and Ecology Sustainability class in the spring. She expects a lot of you and assigns a lot of work but the books that she has you read are actually quite interesting and I learned a lot in her class. Though I did like her, she was a bit disorganized and doesn't use canvas or hand back papers regularly.

This lady has a method and if you want to pass DO AS SHE SAYS. Forget what youve been doing and just corporate with what she ask and youll do fine. I took her for a 6 week course for Enviornmental Science and she made us buy the book and their was HW every night. Best advice: it has to get done so just do it.

I took Dr. Tyson for BSC2826. Dr. Tyson is a phenomenal educator and knows how to make you learn. You will have a lot of reading to do, but reading is VERY important. As long as you read and take the notes you WILL get an A. Humans MUST change the ways we damage our Earth and it is IMPERATIVE to understand the science behind our ignorance .

I took Dr. Tyson's Conservation and Sustainability course. At first I didn't like her, but learned to love her class. You will be reading a lot and watching a lot of videos. Do the homework and take good notes and you'll pass. She is passionate about what she talks about, listen to what she says.

Best instructor ever! Class is challenging but fun. Grades based on your knowledge of plant ID pop-quizzes, lecture material, written textbook notes, animal/plant collections, & participation. BE SURE YOU STUDY/REVIEW EVERY NIGHT because you will def pass. NO CELLPHONES! Loved the environment of her class & field trips are incredible. RECOMMENDED!

LOVE her. She's so funny and sweet, but may come across as harsh at the beginning of class. There is a ton of homework, we reformatted the entire textbook pretty much, but do the work because it'll pay off on exams in the form of extra credit. If you work hard in this class and follow her rules, she will reward you and you will learn so much.

Honestly a great person and very clear about what you need to do to pass. It's a lot of reading so if you're lazy, you'll fall behind fast but the subject is interesting so you might as well learn it. The coloring & quizzes go toward extra credit and the tests aren't extremely hard. You definitely need to study and take it seriously but I loved it!

Mrs. Tyson is a very good professor. I took a B term class (A 16 week class crammed into 6 weeks). It was VERY fast paced but Mrs. Tyson gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit. She is very passionate about her job and she gives a new point of view on how to live a sustainable life. Prepare to read a lot, learn a lot, and enjoy a great class.

I took her Fall A course. Honestly, it's hard. She requires mandatory "reading notes" that are impossible to fake. She literally reads through them at the beginning of every class. Every week she has a "pop quiz" on the reading notes. There were test every other week. I literally had to pull all nighters to complete her assignments. Easy A though.

Intro to Env. Sci. -- I took this as a 6-week hybrid course. Prof. Tyson understands this can be tough but lays out the syllabi well, follows it and makes sure you are, too. Notebook checks & quizzes every class -- you will learn to take succinct notes & efficiently skim a textbook! It's a lot of work but she breaks it down in entertaining lectures

Pr ofessor Tyson has a lot of homework, but the homework is all meaningful and really helps with the overall class. I really enjoyed this class.

AMAZING teacher and content, but I've never done more work for a class in my life. You're either gonna love her or hate her. You don't have to be good at math or science to excel in the class. If you're not prepared to do 1-2 hrs a day of reading notes, or don't care about climate change, ethics, policy, agriculture, etc. don't take the class.

Professor Tyson makes sure that you earn your A. If you follow her directions you should be able to pass with an A. But you must be prepared to spend hours of reading for her class. I enjoyed her lectures very much, she has many cool life stories that relate to the criteria. You need to have work ethic to succeed in her class.

Prof Tyson is very specific in what she expects from you, and sometimes it can seem like too much. This class is extremely relevant and helpful, but theres a lot of reading notes homework involved. Her lectures are funny and inspirational. Overall, I cant wait to have her as my professor in my next biology class :)

Second course with Professor Tyson; she teaches you about many things! Only regret I had was taking this course during Spring B. Work piled on FAST. Be prepared to take notes on EVERYTHING. Exams are the only thing you're graded on, make sure to know the material. It is very hard to guess on her exams. Don't forget the full-size scantrons!

The amount of effort she puts into teaching is the most i have ever seen. She will not waste your time her whole goal is for you to understand environmental science. If your thinking of taking this class theres alot of reading and alot of note taking buts it worth doing the amount of extra credit you can earn in this class is insane. She was great.

4 tests in entire semester and thats what your grade comes out to. If you don't do the abundance of reading notes the way that she likes them, you wont pass. She is probably my favorite teacher I've ever had even though it was the most difficult class I've ever taken and you will definitely learn a lot and get your money's worth.

Professor Tyson is one of my favorite professors ive ever had. Let me continue by saying shes also the hardest professor ive ever had. The class is divided into four tests and thats your grade. However, you can improve your test grade before you take it by over 30 points just by doing the reading notes. Its arduous but incredibly rewarding.

if you want to actaully learn from someone this is your teacher. prof. Tyson taught everything about ENV to us and made sure we understood it. She makes the class super easy with a lot of bonus points, videos and is able to make up tests for full credit. She also understands that "Shift Happens". There' a lot of work and stuff to do but it' doable.

Very good teacher, I did quite well in her class but she really made me work for it. the reading notes are long and quite tedious, so there will be late nights, but it's all worth it. She is a caring teacher who only wants the best out of the students, and as long as you are able to sacrifice some fun and put a little work in, this class is easy.

Professor Tyson is a very genuinely interesting person and an excellent instructor. The class is very hard due to it being condensed to six weeks but it is doable if you study frequently and do all the reading from the textbook. Hard but fun and interesting class overall.

I really enjoyed this professor as her lectures made sense and the work load was not too difficult. It is very manageable for a college course and she is very clear on the course load. All notes done in the textbook were extra credit on the exams, however besides notes this course is strictly exams and no outside assignments, overall great class!

Prof. Tyson is without a doubt a phenomenal teacher. I'm grateful I was able to learn from her. Not only did she inspire me to care more about the environment and making a difference, she made me want to reevaluate my goals and plans for the future. She is genuinely a caring person, and down to earth!

Professor Tyson actually taught, and was a great teacher. There will be a good amount of notes and writing, and you will have to fully apply yourself, but, you will learn a great deal in the process. The most I've learned from a single class was with her, put full trust in her methods and give full effort and your grade will reflect it.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! I love Professor Tyson! It is a hybrid class (6 weeks) so most work is done at home. Bring your textbook and reading notes to class EVERY DAY. Quizzes are on reading notes, there are 3 exams and a GELO for the final. No technology, all paper. Best stories, sang us "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas, funny, great style.

Amazing teacher! You need to read a LOT in this class and take notes on the readings, but all the reading notes go towards extra credit on the tests. Phenomenal Pocahontas singer!

I am shocked by these reviews! I took professor Tyson for both intro to botany and diversity of plants and I learned so so so much from her. Yes, she makes you read the textbook, GROW UP!! YOU'RE IN COLLEGE FOR CHRISTS SAKE!! She lets you use your notes on the flippin exams for crying out loud. I took away so much from her, highly recommended!

Professor Tyson is awesome! I took her six week class and it was a ton of reading and note taking, that take hours to do, so manage your time wisely. She has very specific ways of how she wants things done but it's NOT HARD and she gives a ton of extra credit. It was A LOT of work but I learned so much from her and I highly recommend!

Professor Tyson is a great and interesting professor. Even though the class was condensed into 6 weeks, I've learned more in her class than any other class I've taken so far. Expect to spend hours reading the textbook and taking notes, but its worth it due to the credit you'll get on the tests. I work and have a full load but still got an A!

The lectures/labs/field trips were all engaging and I really feel like I learned things about plants that will stick with me my whole life. Class schedule was spontaneous, due dates and etc. weren't very clear. LOTS OF HOMEWORK!! I was very, very stressed!!! But after the class, I'm grateful I stuck through with it. She's knowledgeable & inspiring!
