She is a really nice and good teacher, she is new but will explain everything very clearly. If you don't understand something, you can go into her office. I attended class everyday, but she gives you her whole syllabus at the beginning of the year. Tests aren't long, quizzes and hw is easy. She is really nice I would take her class again.

I took her math class and she was a great teacher. Explains everything really well, willing to go over everything when you don't understand. If you go to class, it won't be hard. She teaches exactly what is on her test. Take notes, pay attention and its a easy A.

Prof. Orlando is the definition of a passionate math teacher. She definitely interacts well with students in her class and strives for them to understand and apply comprehension to quiz, homeworks, and exams. She is also down to earth. Able to strike a very civilized conversation --- not the weird and awkward student to instructor comprehension.

She is a fantastic math teacher. She makes sure you understand and always makes time for students outside of class. She has 1 hmwk problem a wk and a quiz each class. She drops the lowest 6 quiz grades. Tests are done at testing center. I would highly recommend her. If you put forth an effort, you will have no problems passing her class.

She is very straight forward, goes really fast. I liked the class keep me involved. Take lots of notes. She does not allow any side talking in class, love that, kept you focused on the solution to the problem. Homework a must. Quiz every class.

By far the best calculus teacher there is! Lectures are crystal clear and she makes sure you understand everything before she moves on. Calc isn't easy, and this class isn't easy but if you keep up with the hw you'll be okay. 4 tests, 1 midterm and a quiz every class. She drops 3 quizzes at the end of the semester. Office hrs are important too!

She is an amazing teacher that helps students get through the material. She explains everything very well and will repeat it until you understand it. She does go pretty fast through the material but if you pay attention, the classes will be a breeze. I would recommend her for any math class!!

Had her for Pre-cal and Calc 2. Shes a great math teacher, she jokes occasionally to lighten the mood. Tests are fairly straightforward, she assigns homework for the unit, which are due around the same time as the tests. There are daily quizzes, but are simple. She loves questions, and will always help if you come to her office or even after class.

I took her this Fall for College Algebra. The class goes very quickly and you will want to ask questions if you dont understand. If you show work she will give credit even if you are wrong. I didnt find her to be a hard grader. She responds to emails very quickly. Quizzes daily, and attendance is a must. Easy to make an A if you put the work in.

Prof. Orlando is a very good instructor. Precal is the course where you master algebra and trig, and she walks you through it with clear expectations, practical tests, and lots of chances to get an easy A. You won't regret taking her class.

Prof Orlando is great, will definitely be taking her Calculus 2 course, only downfalls I experienced was that she is quick with teaching, (I had to go to the learning lab most of the time), plenty of opportunities to earn extra points. Tough grader.

I'm okay at math and was always nervous about it but after taking this class I am much more confident and it's hard to believe that I ACTUALLY enjoyed and LOVED this class. Orlando is the best. She makes difficult material more comprehensible and easier to digest. I'll admit I was nervous about the amt of homework, but was quickly relieved when I learned 100% of the test questions come directly from it. There is extra credit on every test and she drops your 5 lowest hw grades. 11-wk course was tough, but because of her this was manageable

Lindsay is a fabulous professor! I took her for precalculus, and plan on taking her again for calculus. She does assign a lot of homework problems from the textbook (textbook is online and free), however, the quizzes and tests are taken word for word from the homework. Her class is fun, she has great energy, good availability in office hours. 10/10

Picks up hw, but as long as you attempt it, you're solid. Almost all of my hw quizzes were group quizzes, which helped! All of the tests had bonuses, which was nice. Attend the SI sessions, they're life savers. This was a zero cost course. Go to her office hours! She's always welcoming and not intimidating. I truly enjoyed this professor + funny

Prof. Orlando is a gem among math professors! This was my second class with her (PreCalc and Calc II) and of all the math professors at ACC, Orlando is definitely my favorite. Make no mistake, her classes are very challenging, but it does not feel that she is out to punish students as many other professors do. Highly recommend for any math course!

I feel fortunate to have had Professor Orlando in the Spring. I haven't taken a math course in two decades. I barely passed the assessment to enter her class. My first score was a 78 in her class. I ended with a 95. She's an invested instructor. She makes the work applicable to our everyday lives. She hires supplemental instructors. This helps!

I may be the worst guy ever in math, I have dropped College algebra at ACC four times before taking this professor this fall semester which still in progress, and guess what? I got a 100 in my first test and got full marks in all of the quizzes so far. I hate something called math, but this lovely and funny prof made me love math. She is the best.

Math is a very difficult topic to learn if you have a bad teacher but this teacher is so sweet and caring!! She finds a free textbook for her students as well as calculators online. She allows you to use your hw and notes on tests. Since the first week of this class I have recommended her to everyone I know!!! Take this teacher!!!!!!!

TAKE HER CLASS! it's a lot of homework but trust me... it will help with tests and quizzes (comes from the hw). Her enthusiasm and positivity are infectious, and she maintains it when you need help. That goes a long way when you need to learn challenging material. Her grading system for pre-cal was via weekly, open-note quizzes and open-note exams. That doesn't mean the course isn't difficult! But she doesn't make it more difficult for you than necessary.

She is the perfect professor to take if you struggle in math. She is very thorough and helpful to students who need any help. ALWAYS had a positive attitude! 4 exams and quizzes every week (based on homework). If you show up to class, do your HW, and participate you'll be good! Great professor

This is one of the best professors I have ever had, her voice is amazing and her laugh is contagious. It is quite easy to get her to laugh as well so you will hear it often! Positive vibes flow from her, she is caring to those who participate and give a solid effort. This is the first time I have enjoyed a math class & I am a known trouble maker.

I am currently taking MATH 2413 with Dr. Orlando and she has been amazing! Math is usually my worst subject because I don't have a solid foundation but with Dr. Orlando's lectures, I have been able to understand the content and do well on the exams. Her grading policy is clear and while she doesn't drop the final exam, she does drop a few quizzes.

Mrs. Orlando is a great prof. As long as you pay attention in class and do weekly(very easy) hw, you'll be fine. She is a nice grader, gives partial points on tests and quizzes. Super friendly, accessible, gave earplugs in class for tests which was nice because I have sensory issues. Highly recommend! She's great!

Calculus is a notoriously difficult course for many students. However, Prof Orlando works tirelessly with her students in class and during office hours to help wrap their heads around the presented concepts. She is warm, approachable, inspiring, and never condescending, even when asked to review concepts as far back as Algebra. She's just great.

Professor Orlando is awesome I hate math and I still do but she explains the concepts so well. I took her class during the pandemic so the tests were take home and open note. I never expected to get an A in a college math class but I did . I was thrilled to find out she teaches elementary statistics I will definitely be taking her again for math.

I really love the way Professor Orlando teaches, sure she does give like 3 homework each day and they need to be turned in the next day, but she makes it really easy to understand math problems. lectures don't take long so you will have plenty of time to finish the homework during class.
