Great Professor! The class is sort of difficult but overall she is good at breaking things down for you.

I'm honestly confused about the rating for Ms Barlow. She is an amazing teacher. She will help you with every little thing to make sure you do your best in this class. This class is very easy if you do what is required. Yes, there is a lot of work, but it's worth it to get the A. I love, love, love Ms Barlow!

She is an amazing professor. I took her for ENGL 1302, and helped me in writing better papers. She is also extremely helpful as she replies to e-mails frequently and gives good feedback. There is a handful of weekly homework assignments to complete, but the experience will exceed your expectations. I highly recommend taking her.

even though my worst subject is English, Professor Barlow was very encouraging and helpful when it came to my struggle of the subject. she is a very wonderful teacher and her teaching skills are admirable. she would allow us to interact within the class so we could understand the material better and was always engaging with her students. Best English professor Ive had since I was in English 1301. Professor Barlow cares about you succeeding in her class. Just know she will help you when help is NEEDED. Overall, her class isnt hard just simply go to class, do the work, get a grade. I received an A. The work load is heavy but its possible to get it done.

I took Professor Barlow Spring of 2020 and received a 4.0 even in the midst of a pandemic. She was very concerned with all of her students, she made it extremely easy to transition to 100% online class due to an electronic agenda for in-class and at home assignments, and she also gave countless opportunities for extra credit. PLEASE TAKE HER CLASS!

SO glad I took this class. I feel like I actually learned and wasn't overwhelmed by homework. Nothing really bad to say at all. I will say I didn't get as much feedback on rough drafts as I would've liked, but other than that this class was awesome.

Barlow delves into the logistics of writing and devices that can be used to make writing more enticing. She lifts the veil from your eyes and reveals simple techniques that are used in writing to convey points and ideas. Her class is informative without being overwhelming. btw she has a really cool book: Pivot (trilogy?)

Prof. Barlow is an absolute sweetheart. the lectures were engaging and interesting, and after COVID hit, she was very understanding of students situations. the assignments were simple enough, and the final exam was actually kinda fun. its an easy class if you put forth a little effort.

I had Professor Barlow for the Spring semester of 2021, and I lucked out on having her as my instructor. She is very professional, frequently available for feedback and clarification, and she teaches extremely useful writing lessons that I will definitely carry with my into my future classes. One only needs to stay on top of their work.

I really enjoyed how this class was laid out. It made writing papers easier and less stressful. You get to write out about what you want. If you need to take an english class, you will not regret having Professor Barlow as your teacher.

Professor Barlow is definitely one of the best professors ive ever had. Shes SO very understanding and honestly a kind hearted individual. It says she does not accept late work but she knows that people have struggles mentally and will completely understand. This does not mean take advantage of her kindness. Her work is pretty reasonable as well.

Prof. Barlow is amazing. There were weekly assignments which were related to the essays so you're not overloaded with unnecessary work (it all ties together) and I learned many important writing tips that I'll continue to use. Towards the end I fell behind and I reached out to her, and she worked with me to make sure I got the best grade possible:)

Professor Barlow was so great! All you had to do was complete the assignments and you would pass the class. She lectured over each essay, MLA formatting, and MLA citations. When you email her, she responds quickly and helpfully. I would take from her again. 10/10.

Professor Barlow was great! The class consisted of 4 essays, peer-reviews, some assignments on InQuizitive, and an extra assignment. The professor also gave us a lot of options for extra credit so there is really no reason to fail the class.

Having Professor Barlow was great this year as it was my first year back in college after dropping out. The clearness of the assignments really helped, Professor Barlow made most assignments essentially Dummy Proof, there were steps and many videos with each assignment and each week.

overall, I enjoyed my professor. one thing in particular would be some of the conversations that you could get into about some of the topics. it was refreshing to talk to someone who was very knowledgeable about many things will still keeping an unbiased opinion. the professor is very open minded and presents herself in a professional manner.

Her coursework outline is incredibly easy to follow. You will never NOT know what is due that week. She teaches really well and gives great examples to help guide you in essays and become a better writer. The only way you can really fail is if you lose motivation or purposefully don't do the work and don't show up.

The course was phenomenal. In addition to learning how to write in English (commas, semicolons, and fix sentences), I also learned how to respect others and their work and be more social in class (presentations and class participation).

I appreciated the fact that when going over essays she would go over every step of the essay from how to begin the essay depending on what we want to achieve with the essay to closing it off, she also provided examples of how she would write an introduction or body paragraph.

Professor Barlow's course was one of the most entertaining and engaging classes I took so far. Instead of just lecturing on and on, she engages the class in discussions and always asks for input. This was the first class that really let us have class discussions and in made us feel more connected as a class.

Most of the coursework is easy but there's a lot of it and it takes up a lot of your time. The inquisitives are quite repetitive and the essays every week can be draining. One thing that makes the essays significantly easier is that you can pick your own topic.

Lindsey Barlow's course was the best class I've ever taken. The structure of the course gives you time to build your essay, and you have to submit some of it in the DBs so you get feedback while you work. Professor Barlow was AMAZING!! I took the 8 week term and although there was a lot of work to be done, the majority of it was pretty easy work. I will say though, those quizzes are a little annoying but in the end they do help you learn the concepts better. She's a pretty easy grader, as long as you actually try to do the assignments.
