Shes so helpful! She actually helps the students and responds to emails. There's a lot of homework but, she helps you through it with notes or one on one time during class.
she is very organized. She explains each section clearly and uses many examples to make sure you understand the solutions. I am going to take her for my next math class as well. Just took her. You wont regard...
She is one of the best math professors at GCC! Very organized and neat. Gives you a ton of examples so that you understand the solutions. Definitely would take again.
She's the best math professor at GCC. I definitely recommend you taking her. I used to hate math because I have trouble understanding it, but she makes it so easy to understand. I took her for two different math classes already because I just love how she teaches and how helpful and caring she it. She's really young too! Best math teacher ever!
Best Professor at GCC! She was fantastic, answered any questions I had and made me feel like I could learn the subject given my lack of mathematical aptitude. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a decent Professor at GCC.
By far, the best professor I've ever had. She is truly ideal. She gives the best notes and makes sure everyone is on the same page before moving on. She does a huge review before each test. Hard topic, but she makes it so understanding. She will always make time for her students to meet up even if it is not her office hours. TAKE HER!!! AMAZING.
She is the best professor I've ever had in my two years at GCC. Shes simply amazing. She takes time to make sure that her students understand the content and she gives amazing lectures that really get you to understand the material fully. Shes incredibly nice and is always there to help you and answer any question. Take her if you get the chance!!!
She is one of the best math professors at GCC. Her tests are so straight forward and she gives you the entire time of the class to work on it. she also gives extra credit opportunity at the end of each test which she chooses from the questions that students had been dropped. In short, take her and pay attention to her clear lecturing.
She's simply not a very good teacher. You ask her question and she gets annoyed and bother easily. Not recommended
Ms. G is amazing. She is very organized, and her lectures are easy to understand. She gives a lot of homework, but it helps you understand the material. She gives a lot of extra credit, and she provides reviews before the test. As long as you study for the class, you will pass. I took her for math 146, 131, & I'm going to take her next semester.
professor Gharibi is one of my favorite teachers at GCC. She is REALLY organized and has extremely clear lectures . she is always to answer your questions and give you extra credit opportunities. Professor Gharibi is super on time both for classes and for giving back your quizzes and exams. Best of the Best....
She is a nice person. However, she lacks the teaching skills to be an effective professor. Even in a small room I had trouble hearing her and I sat in the third row. You will pass if you sit in the first row, if you don't then good luck. We have an interpreter for a deaf person, that sits right in front of class and she has trouble hearing.
Ms. G is an amazing statistics professor at GCC! Her lectures are clear & always answers any questions that we had during class. She's caring & wants her students to do well in her class. Although there was a lot of homework due at every test day, the hw & class notes helps you prepare for the test! As long as you study, anyone can do it!
Mrs. G is a good teacher and her lectures were pretty straightforward. This class wasn't interactive though so I would get bored in class and start zoning off. You have to be very focused in class or else you'll fall behind. Her tests were a little tricky so you have to really understand the material. She did a great job at teaching the material.
Ms. G is the Best Mathematics Professor at GCC hands down. Takes the time to answer your questions and cares about her students. Would definitely take again !
Ms.G is a super nice professor at GCC! She takes the time to clearly go through every lecture and always answers any questions that students had during class. People usually dropped the class because they were not studious and failed her tests. I guarantee that if people actually went to get help and studied, they would've gotten an A in her class!
Her lectures were great, detailed and clear. She explains the problems very clearly and thoroughly that I understood them completely without question. I hate math and it's my weakest subject, but in her class I excelled in math for the first time.
Amazing lectures! Goes over all examples that are needed to know to complete her homework assignments and will be on the test. Drops lowest quiz grade and replaces your lowest test grade with your score on the final (if it is higher). Not the easiest tests, but if you do all the homework you'll be in a good standing for it!
You'll be glad you got her! Ask questions. Don't be late to class. Listen. You're golden!
she does her best to give the clearest explanations + make everything easier for her students to understand. does assign lots of weekly hw BUT its amazing prep for tests, just ask questions if you get confused. her lecture notes are super helpful + she prepares you for everything that will be on the test! she uses StatCrunch (BIG HELP!!)
easily one of the best math professors I've had. I consider myself a diligent student and I can assure you won't be dissapointed if you take her. She always answers every question with the intention to make the student understand. Grades fairly, gives back assignmets on time, goes over the HW problems, and u always know what grade you have.
Best professor Ive ever had!!! She is very clear and explains the material very well. This is a very difficult class and there is no way I wouldve passed it without her help. She is supportive, kind and believed in me more than I believed in myself. Be prepared to work though, its a tough class.
Honestly, Ms. G is the best math professor at GCC. She makes math so easy to understand. I wish she would come over to UCR. The only regret I have from her class is that I never got her number down after I finished her class because shes extremely beautiful and gorgeous. She would make my eyes pop out of my face.
I took Ms. G for 3 different classes, and for all 3 classes she was amazing. Her class isn't an easy A let me tell you that. She will go back if someone still has questions on previous examples. Just remind her to slow down, she won't mind. Her math jokes are cute haha, thanks for everything Ms. G. You are honestly the best teacher I've had at GCC.
She's a good professor but the common final is worth 30 percent of your grade, and our class average on the test was a F and she gave a very small curve. My grade dropped from a 85 percent to a 75 percent because of it.
If you tired hard and have an honest talk with her about your grades you will do fi
Her tests are extremely difficult and not similar to the study guide AT ALL. She explains clearly but whatever is on the test she did not go over. Instead she decides to put all the harder questions on the test instead of going over it. I dropped her class and now taking it with another professor and I am passing with a high B.
Tough but fair grader. Pay attention, take good notes and don't be afraid to ask for help. She's always willing to help either during class or her office hours. The amount of homework she assigns is about what you'd expect for a math class, and is usually due weekly not every class session, and her in class activities are both educational AND fun!
I highly recommend you not taking her, she was very tough grader and very fast. some sections she teached from power points. If you can keep up with her paste then you can take her class. Her study guides were nothing compare to her test. I did put in my effort in, but her tests were way to complicated.
Her lectures are pretty chill and easy to understand. However, when it comes to homework, POWs and tests, what's asked to do is completely different and harder. I am fine with challenging your students but it's unfair when your lectures cover the basic level of what's to be taught while giving tasks that are more advanced.
She is a really sweet person but honestly, her tests are nothing like the study guides she gives in class. As for the homeworks, they really don't help you grade wise and helping you practice for the test.
Amazing lecturer, very clear and precise and easy to understand. However the problems she gives on the homework/test/POWS(weekly one problem quizzes) are insanely hard, and nothing like the lectures. Wouldn't recommend to take unless you fully understand the material.
Ms.G has been the best math teacher i have ever had hands down all these reviews dont do justice of how amazing she is. Ive learned so much in her class&will definitely be taking her for more math classes. She gave us very good notes& took her time to help everyone. You need to put in the work&effort in order to pass she does her part!
Class was alright..... it is good
She is an amazing person, the best professor that you can find in entire college! She is so intelligent and smart! Her class helped me to improve my analytic thinking. I enjoyed her lectures very much. I'll miss her and her class! She is very patient and pleasant with everyone. Such a responsible and organized professor. She is too much for GCC!!!
terrible lecturing!!! gives tests that are not covered material, she likes to flirt with people in class and has her favorites!!! SHE IS THE WORST, she gives half an hour classes when she should be teaching!! this lady needs help!
Rushed lectures, the tests are 10% of what we learn and are the class after we finished the chapter, hardly any time to review. If you do not have a good idea of what to do, she won't really make it clear to you. Oh and you have 15 point in class assignments each day, with no way to make up those points, don't get sick :/// Such a waste of time.
take Ms.G if you can. she is one of the best professors for math 30. she has very clear lectures. she assigns homework on my math lab which has the book on it so you dont need to get the book. make sure you do all the homework because itll help your grade a lot. attend class ever y day because you will fall behind.
She is a great professor, it is easy to understand the lesson with her explanation. Always happy to help. I took this 5 unit class as pass/no pass and could really get an easy A. A lot of homework but it is worthy to be done for practice. Tests are easy, she wont get mad if you are late. I would for sure take her again.
Statistics is no joke. STUDY, STUDY, and STUDY. She does NOT go over any material more than once in class. So take very thorough notes. She is a wonderful teacher and take advantage of her office hours! When it comes to the final she allowed 1 full front/back page of notes! I recommend her if you are determined to take notes and study hard.
Shes very good at looking pretty but inept when it comes to anything math related. Let me just start of by saying her tests dont reflect the homework. Whats more, there are many group assignments that can hurt you if you dont do well on them.
Seriously talks too fast like the goal is going through the motions. Unavailable on weekends to respond to questions. Not a great personality. She either likes you or she doesn't. Is helpful if you reach out to her during weekdays you have class or her office hours. Oral exams she offers some guidance. Not the worst math prof. I've had at GCC.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, SHE IS REALLY TOUGH GRADER AND HER EXAMS ARE LITERALLY HELL! SHE IS GOOD AT TEACHING BUT WHEN IT COMES TO HER EXAMS, SHE GIVES YOU THE HARDEST THING THAT A QUESTION COULD BE
Good: With everything going online, I would definitely recommend Prof Gharibi. She provides class notes to print out in advance, she records all lectures, and draws on a ipad so its easy to read her work. Bad: She is a strict grader and will remove points for the smallest mistake, her quizzes are harder than you expect. Limited Office Hours.
Professor is good at teaching. She, however, is a really tough grader and her exam questions arent always the same as what she thought in class. Not to forget that the exam time is extremely tight and she does not allow for makeups whatsoever. If you are trying to keep your GPA in a good shape, DO NOT TAKE HER!
She explains lessons okay, but is very fast paced. Her tests do not reflect her homework or lessons given. Be prepared for oral exams. The study guide that she gives does not even help. You will have homework for every lesson and a group project at the end. If you want to pass do not take her. She is by far the worst teacher I have ever had!
Tests are not even close to what she teaches. Her notes system is amazing but notes are useless when unrelated to test questions. Exams are extremely hard and they carry a lot of weight on grade.
I love professor Gharibi. She is caring and amazing. For people who do not like her, they just did not homework that is required to any math class .If you dont do homework, you wont pass it. She will explain you every topic if you dont understand something. Her explanation is very well described and detailed. I love her!
One of the best teachers EVER. Lecture is heavy (it's stats duh) & she goes through it pretty fast, therefore pay attention! However, all the quizzes and exams are straight from lectures and homework. 4 exams & 1 final, plus 1 project. Homework is plenty but doable. Weekly quiz. If you pay attention to the class and do homework (study!) it's easy A
Best math professor I've had in my life. Do your work, pay attention, ask questions, and you will succeed. Quizzes & exams are not hard. They're open note too. The study guide review problems help a lot! She'll happily explain concepts more than once. Take her! She's so nice and sweet. I love her and would take her again for any other math class.
Wonderful professor. Doesn't give too much HW. Group work here & there. Quizzes & exams are easy as long as you study and know what you're doing. She uses StatCrunch which is a big help! It's basically a math calculator that does all the work for you. There's also a final exam and a project. Personally, I hate math but she made me love it!
The absolute best. Take her! I love her so much. I hope she teaches other math classes too so I can take her again. Explains lectures so well and is extremely organized. Fast-paced but if you pay attention you're golden.
Out of the 4 exams, you will have 3 opportunities to make up 1 question per exam. I'd suggest make up the question for your lowest exam score. Replaces lowest test score w/ final exam grade if final exam grade is higher than lowest test score. The best professor known to mankind! She's too much for GCC!
Professor Gharibi's lectures were pretty straightforward and she gives you plenty of practice. The homework and tests were not difficult because they are open-book so as long as you know the basics you can get an A. Also being attentive in class is a must since she requires a lecture submission after every lesson.
THE BEST!!!
Best Math professor I've ever had. Don't think twice, pick her
Greatest math experience. Amazing clear lectures and notes. Organized and simple to keep up with. Her explanations and examples make math look simple. The exams are fair. I attended every office hour and made sure to clear up any questions I had. Shes genuinely a good teacher and makes math seem like fun. Greatest math class I've taken.
She's so sweet and positive. Very smart!!! I LOVE HER!!!!
GCC is so lucky to have such a wonderful professor like Ms. Gharibi. She's an amazing human-being & an awesome professor. Explains everything so well. Lectures are clear & simple. Exams and quizzes are similar to practice problems from lectures & study guides. TAKE HER!!!
She's amazing & goes over a topic as many times as you want. Gives very organized notes & practice problems which are similar to quizzes/exams. She sometimes gives group work assignments, but if you understood the lesson, they should be easy. The HW load is not too much either, it's just the right amount. Take her for any math class! THE BESTTTTTT!
TAKE HER. TAKE HER. TAKE HER. TAKE HER. TAKE HER.
She was a very kind & helpful professor. You will learn a lot in this class. She's honestly better compared to other professors. Trust me you won't regret taking her.
Excellent professor. The best math experience I've ever had. She make your life so simply and easy.
4 exams, quizzes, easy HW assignments, a few discussion forums, group work here & there, & a cumulative final. Notes system is so organized & she provides plenty of practice problems per section which are similar to exam Q's. Gives study guides per exam w/ plenty of practice Q's & a bullet pointed list of what to focus on per section.
The best. Seriously the best. If you don't like her, then there's something wrong with you. She does her part, so just do yours and you'll be fine I promise.
Great professor. Very patient and organized. Wonderful experience.
I just took Business calculus with her. She was very understanding and caring. She just wants you to focus and take her class seriously. She is a very good teacher. I used her office hours a lot. Her office hours were seriously golden. Make sure to use them as she will help you with whatever problems you have. she rocks!
the best...
This class literally makes me wanna kms!
Simply a no...
Absolute nightmare.......
This class makes me wanna crash my car into a telephone pole, standing on the gas, with no seatbelt on!
This class made me start going to therapy! Absolute PTSD... legit starting my mornings with depressing music and a good cry sesh
Does not teach at all. The entire class is spent copying notes, and her exams are absolutely nothing like the notes. She assigns so much homework that you have to pick between studying or doing the homework. Please do yourself the favor and take math with another professor.
I'd rather go back into a relationship with my ex than spend another minute in this class. A total nightmare. Jesus Christ would probably fail her exams, that's how excruciatingly difficult they are!!
This is honestly the worst class I have ever taken in my life. She teaches absolutely nothing and tests us on harder material that she "teaches" us and notes she gives. Her tests are impossible to pass and very difficult. She gives massive amounts of homework that takes you hours and more than a day to do.
She does not care about any of her students well being. If you're gonna listen to one comment at all, listen to this, Do not take her she's the absolute worst. Save yourself the pain and misery that comes along with this class.
She really does not care about you at all. Assigns outrageous amounts of homework due the same day of exams and gives a quiz EVERY in-person class day you are not already taking an exam on. She has the worst attitude. Only 3 of 30 people got the answer correct on one of her quizzes and she still counted the quiz grade, making everyone's grade drop.
The definition of "scam". Definitely faked previous reviews as I took her for having 4.5! Yeah, no.
I took her for the precalculus 110 course. She is a great person and sometimes gave me more points than I received. However, her exams and quizzes are very hard, and almost impossible to get good grades on them. I will advise taking 110A and 110B because 110 is a fast-paced class - 2 topics per day.
Since I'm not allowed to use derogatory/profanity terms here, I'll just censor it: F*** THIS CLASS & F*** THAT B****
I took Math 110 with her this fall semester. Not only was the homework incredibly long, but it was also graded on correctness. The class was taught way too fast pace which caused her to skim over topics making it very difficult to understand. I would heavily advise not taking on calculus with this professor or any at GCC. Take them at another cc.
She's a great professor & is a great lecturer, but gives excruciating amounts of HW. Goes over surface level problems in the lectures, but what's asked to do in the HW & exams is much more difficult. It's very frustrating to sit down & try to figure out how to do problems that weren't even taught, so idk why she it like a guessing game.
bro doesnt even respond to emails about questions
Pros: Great professor, very kind, & explains well. Cons: Exams are very difficult, Quizzes are tricky at times, office hours are extremely limited, & she gives WAY TOO MUCH HOMEWORK!!! Overall, a terrible experience!
I took her for Math 102 (Trigonometry) and dropped it. She's a great professor but her quizzes and exams were extremely challenging!
she is okay but she is not the worst person in the whole world. her weekly reviews are very hard a lot of work a lot of homework ,labs and reviews she made us take a quiz everyday because people showed up to class late. she will take a half point off on every little thing. her notes are not the best goes over very surface level material then in hw
NEVER TAKE HER CLASS! but if you have to take it, then try the class but drop before the deadline. One homework usually contains 60-70 questions and it never stops. The weekly review is hard and when your class is kinda free there will be labs. The test is very hard and she is a tough grader. she really likes complicated questions. notes are ok.
This woman literally thinks we're a bunch of Albert Einsteins. This class is the figurative definition of human trafficking. Way too much HW given which takes 5+ hrs everyday to do. Difficult exams. Limited office hour sessions. Notes system is amazing, however, there's no point if it's not gonna help with the HW and exams. Avoid!
Calculus is not an easy class. This class made me question my abilities at times. It really depends on you to study and do well. Ms. Gharibi's lectures are great, but too simple. The bulk of your studying and hard questions come from homework. Exams were difficult, but manageable. Her office hours were super helpful. Overall, had a good experience.
DO NOT TAKE THIS F*****G CLASS! The absolute worst teacher at this school. You'll be doing homework literally all day. All she does is give useless lectures that don't reflect the test at all! The hardest possible exams! In conclusion, she is a psychopath. Take a different teacher.
Socially awkward and unenthusiastic, the professor's low voice and mask use hinder communication during online learning. Her strict grading system demands perfection despite minor errors. Exams feature excessively difficult math questions, placing an undue burden on students who are then unfairly blamed for their grades.
Heavy on lectures and tests. Massive amounts of homework. When lecturing her words come out quickly and quietly making it difficult to understand/hear what is being said. Passive aggressive attitude at times. Difficult to access outside of the class. Extremely discouraging to those falling behind w little regard to assist when reaching out.
Professor makes me feel uncomfortable coming to her for help. You cannot take any other classes with her demanding class requirements. You won't have time to do well in any other classes if you want to pass this class. Would not recommend. You should take the class at PCC or another CC if you need the class to transfer.
She seems like a nice person outside of class, genuinely. But unfortunately she has absolutely no idea how to teach the subject. She is not good at explaining. She assigns a criminal level amount of homework that absolutely helps us in no way possible. The homework is genuinely pushing 70-80 questions a night, and the questions have multiple parts.
Would recommend this class if you're a detail-oriented learner, uses an "outcomes" system where if you master a concept once, you wont have to retake for future exams. Exam problems are tough (No partial credit), but near identical to homework. Be prepped to grind through textbook HW, but if you focus each section deeply, you'll have less exam work
Took her over the summer but the homework load wasn't too bad. Most of the practice you get is from the hw which is really nice. You do need to put effort into the class and review but it was manageable. She really cares for the students and explains the concepts well.
Definitely a challenging class, but with the right approach it's manageable. Attend lectures, use the textbook, and try Unstuck ai for helpful study prep. Expect a heavy workload, but the course is rewarding if you put in the effort.
She is a very nice person. Her lectures are ok but the problem is her exams. I dropped this class 2 weeks ago from today and it was a horrible experience. Her exams are VERY VERY HARD!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!
she provide all the materials needed, HOWEVER, she thinks her student is genius or something but her TEST IS HARD, it is like taking advance calc not calc 1. SO DONT TAKE HER CLASS AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
mean and rude professor! i would try to avoid at all costs! tests dont reflect anything give on study guide
this is my only class thats left to transfer out and she is making it so hard . like come on your mastery tests are super hard. girl you teach a lesson and expects us to MASTER it the next day and if you dont she makes it harder. I go to her office hours but still her mastery tests are too hard.
Her class is centered around assessments which she makes incredibly difficult and only gives 1-2 questions which u must get correct to pass. She's the first math to ever give group work(which was ineffective). And she cares way too much ab attendance. Don't waste ur time or money and don't take a math class at GCC.
She's a terrible teacher. The way she structures her course is even worse. She lies by saying she doesn't give tests then gives u assessments which r 10x harder. At least on tests you get partial credit for her assessment u either pass or u don't. She also threw a temper tantrum because one person came late and another person was on their phone.
Her class is very organized and she is a very nice professor. Her assessments are hard but if you put the work in you can for sure master it. I recommend to take her before calc 1 as she will get you well prepared for it.
Professor Gharibi is exceptional. The course is challenging, but her lectures are well structured. The assessments reflect the HW, so stay on top of it. It's clear that she loves math, and above all, she loves teaching. Thank you, Professor!
Great professor. Cares for students, explains everything until you fully understand.
She really take cares of her students, makes sure that everyone passes. if you just put a little effort into it you guaranteed to pass. an advice from me start to put effort into the beginning especially.
She's a very nice and an overall pretty good professor. She explains the material well and I was able to do pretty good in her class. She answers questions and can be accessed outside class through her email or office hours. If you put effort, you can pass the class. Overall, I enjoyed her class and she cares for her students.
Worst math class I have EVER TAKEN. Math has literally been so easy for me until this class. It's graded on mastery so you either get the point or not, and she gives NO LEEWAY whatsoever. She doesnt even give half credit if one decimal point is off in your answer. If you hate yourself and like to feel depression and pain take this class youll love
if she's the only teacher for the class u need, don't take it, leave it for the semester after w a diff teacher. honestly never wore a seatbelt on the way to class. would rather crash into a wall than retake this class. 100000/10 do not recommend. save urself.
