It is just the beginning of the semester, but this professor realy rock. He is so thorough (even though he is super-strict). He is also so young--and muscular--and hot!!!!! I am happy to be in this class!

He is really strict, but he is good. He doesn't play any games with you. I had Wynter and Irvin for 101 and 102. They are very different teachers, but good combination. (And they are super sexy)

I had him his 1st and 2nd semester he came to Rutgers for english 101 amd 102...He is very strict and does not like lazy students however he willing to help those who want to help themselves.He will give you points for going to the writing center.Just go to class and make an efforst, PARTICIPATE and you will get a good grade.

Great professor. Just make sure you do your readings BEFORE class and participate. Had him for eng 101 and 102. Got an A and a B+. also gives credit for improvement. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This is the only teacher that has succeeded in teaching me how to write. His methods may be tough, but in the end, you learn. If you want an easy A, dont take him. If you want to learn how to write, don't take anybody else!

This professor helped me with my time management skills and helped me become a more responsible student. He doesn't accept late papers, and he does not like students being late. However, he is always there to help, even on his own time. You'd have to be really dumb or really lazy not to learn in his class.

Let me first start by saying I was never happy with my writing and that I HATE English. The class is tough but you learn so much and because of his teaching method I am now confident in my writing abilities. If you are going to slack off or not come to class don't take him, but if you want to learn look no further.

If you want to learn how to write and are ready to work for it then this the teacher for you. If you slack off you will fail. He is strict but he knows what he is doing and can teach

He is very helpful, but he's a really tough grader. There is also one time when he gave one big writing assignment and a small one at the same time, and expected us to hand in both of them on the same day. Try to run.

Most teachers dont care about their students, but Prof Wynters is different. you can feel his passion by the extensive comments that he puts on your papers, and by the efforts he makes to get you to edit the papers over and over again. he truly cares about his students, and that makes me want to be like him. thank your proffessor Wynters.

Professor Wynter is a great teacher who motivates his students to put an enormous amount of effort in their writing. He is a tough grader, but he is reasonable..do the work and participate in class, and you will be sure to get a good grade!

Professor Wynter is a great person and teacher! I am NOT a great writer which is why I received the grade I received but he will put all his effort into making you pass. Not a class where you can get an easy A and sure as heck not the teacher you want to have if you don't do your work. Great Prof. :)

You cannot play around and you have to take his class seriously otherwise he will fail you ! but dont worry if you are not doing great in his class you can ask for help and he will make sure you push yourself forward and become a better writer. if you are a lazy person DO NOT take him

One of the best teachers I have had in my life so far. He tells you how it is and how it will be if you don't do your work. He tells you straight up the first day if you don't work you wont pass. Do your work and try your best and you should hopefully make it out with at least a B and if you excel maybe even an A.

GREAT PROFESSOR! Took him for both English 101 and 102. He is a hard grader, but his criticism is helpful and can make you a much better writer. Do not wait 'til last minute to type an essay, he does not take any BS. Is understanding if you need more time on an essay for personal reasons. DON'T GO ABSENT THE DAY AN ESSAY IS DUE!

Professor Wynter is very intimidating at first. But once you get to know him, he is a sweetheart. He is very strict but HE WILL DEFINITELY IMPROVE YOUR WRITING SKILLS! You will definitely benefit from taking his class. He absolutely does not tolerate excuses. Just do the work and engage in class and you will do fine! Wynter is the prof to take!

I've never had a teacher as strict as this before. But I must say that my writing is way better than before. he hates lazy students so anyone who says they're not a fan or that his quality is poor is definitely the one with poor quality. even dumb kids can become good writers in his class. Ok, maybe not every dumb kid. great teacher!

I heard horror stories about this professor but once you get to know him hes great, intimidating, but great. He just really cares about his students becoming great writers and and being prepared for the rest of their lives. You really have to work your behind off, no excuses with the amount of resources you have available to you.

Professor Wynter was by far the best English professor I've had. He does his best to help you. The key to success in his class is to ask questions and keep up with every single assignment. Professor Wynter was by far the best English professor I ever had throughout my entire life of taking English. Yes its a hard class and he is a hard grader but, he does it to push oneself to a high standing point. He is a professor that wants to bring the best out of you and make you successful. He also doesn't stand for laziness so be prepared.

Prof Wynters honestly made my first semester hell, but if he didn't i'd never truly be prepared for college. He is a great teacher and you should deff consider taking him if you are a hard worker. The amount of effort you put in is how much you will get back.

He was in the military previously and that is where his strict attitude comes from. He is extremely intimidating at first, but he eventually warms up. He absolutely HATES people who don't try their hardest or come to class. Believe me, he knows what you truly are capable of, and he'll give you no choice but to become a better writer. Work hard!

wynter was the 4TH 101 professor i took. . he will tell you EXACTLY WHAT AND HOW to do well in a paper. He is not an easy grader at all. Show up and work hard in his class. he is strict because he sees great potential in everyone so he is not only a great professor but also a GREAT man . i really wish i had this guy earlier in my life

I love Professor Wynter. At first I thought he was too extreme, and he really annoyed me by the way he would grade my papers but at the end of the course I really learned a lot. He teaches you that things don't come easy unless you work for it. His attitude shapes you up for life! I passed the class with a B, he truly believed in me! Hes great!

He taught me more in a semester than I had learned about writing structure and grammar than I had learned in all four years in high school. He told you exactly what you needed to do and gave great feedback.

DEFINITELY TAKE HIM! He is very helpful and is accessible outside the classroom. If you go during office hours, he will help you out a lot. He gives feedback regarding what what you should work on so you can improve your writing skills. Very caring and joyful. Would recommend him. 3-4 formal papers, 2-3 in-class essays and reading assignments.

I just saw a comment that Professor Wynter only gives A's to good writers. This is absurd! Professor W gives A's to people who earn it! He does not grade you based on your efforts, but he does take it into consideration. I got a B from him, and I know I worked hard for it, i don't think I deserve an A! Thanks for improving my writing, Prof Wynter.

If you are ready to learn how to write, take his class. You don't have to be a great writer, you just have to be willing to apply yourself and not be lazy. He gives solid structure to your writing and you can even apply it to other classes. Hes probably stricter than your parents, but this is good, believe me. I am grateful to Professor Whynter.

I took Lionel Wynter for English 101. He is certainly a tough grader but truly a really awesome guy. If you see him in office hours, he explains his prompts and any other questions you may have. He even looks over your essay and gives feedback as to what you should change/add to pass. You must work hard in the class. It is not an easy A or B.

had him for 101 and it was nightmarish. 4 papers but you must put a TON of effort into them as he can sense how hard you try (he HATES lazy people). Publically shames lazy people so don't be one of them. Does not teach much but forces you to make yourself a better write/analyzer. This professor is very inspirational and really cares for all of his students but if you are lazy you will not do good at all. He will give all of the help to people who really try but lazy people he has zero tolerance. He does not have a filter so be prepared for inappropriate comments. Overall he has made my whole class great improved writers.

Wynter is a wonderful professor. First day of class he may come off as a tough teacher, but stick with it because this is his strentgh. Because he is so blunt and specific as to what he wants, you will be able to do well on your papers in his class. DO NOT try to slack off or procrastinate or you wont do well or enjoy the class.

Professor Wynter is a tough professor although, it pays off in the future. He prepares you and shapes you into a great writer and you will use his tools going forward for practically every class. If you work hard and show up to class, you will get an A. Attendance is mandatory. Just follow instructions and you will be fine in the class.

A really strict professor(military past) but he also has a very humorous and caring side. He does not like excuses and grades fairly, just make sure to not be absent, be on time, and do all the homework for an A. Professor wynter is the most caring teacher Ive ever had. As a freshmen Ive never had a teacher who truly cares about my process by constantly reassuring me and making me comfortable enough to ask him for help. Most students are afraid of Wynter and think hes strict, but in reality he just cares about his students and wants everyone to pass.

I had Professor Wynter over the summer and he was tough and made me cry a lot but after the class was over I realized I learned so much from him. As long as you do all the work he provides and ask for feedback, he is very sweet and will do whatever he can to help you. Definitely not the right class to skip or slack off in.

If you take his class, make sure to attend, you can not skip class or come late to class and expect it to fly with the professor. He will be likely to assist you within the same day, if you need help. If you want an easy class it's not his. Do your work well and do it on time in order to pass his class with a good grade. Tough on all students.

Honestly he is a hard a$$ during his lectures and expects a lot from his students. But his instructions are clear and he gives really good feedback during the writing process. I had him in 101 and then decided to take him again for 102 because he was that good with writing. Just do your readings, go to class, and just listen to his feedback.
