Real nice, but don't let her fool you on the first day. I think she acts ****y just to get the class size down, but after that shes normal. She makes the clas interesting and very clear with her teachings. Plus shes hot, so if your a guy its an extra bonus to take her class.

Ansara is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She makes class sooo fun to go to. She assigns a lot of papers but they're really easy. She also allows for a good amount of class discussion and group work. I def recommend her.

She is amazing & the reason why I switched to a Psych major. Class is very interesting! Makes you want to go. Lots of tiny experiments/papers (1pg-ers), but they're fun to do. Fair grader. Lots of group work. Tests are thorough but just take notes during class & study & you'll do fine. Highly Recommended! A shame she doesn't teach more classes.

Makes the class fun... for the most part. Grades tougher on papers but tests are pretty easy. Just go to class. Doesn't like it when people disagree with her or if the say anything even remotely against women.

She was pretty nice, made the class pretty fun, and made sure everyone knew the material. The tests weren't dfficult at all.

she teaches this class like its high school. multiple overheads for every example, so the material is very clear but it is quite redundant. she likes to have you get into small groups "get into groups of five, move your desks together" it felt like 5th grade. many many personal papers to write. recommended for first semester freshmen ONLY.

She's clear, interesting, engaging and she knows her material. However, she presents some things which are theoretical as undisputed fact. For Psych 101, make sure you complete the research credit required by the Psych Department and make sure you get credit for the ones you go to.

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED: awesome prof, easy test,easy projects, lots of extra credit, crystal clear to understand, moderate homework most of which counted as quiz grades, sexy to gaze at...!

I had no interest at all in psych until this class. Wonderful professor, keeps the class engaged and motivated. She likes a lot of class participation so don't be shy. There are a bunch of papers but they're all short (1-2 pages) and they are really fun. Study your notes and you'll be fine. Wish she taught more psych classes.

She was awesome and really cared about her students. The classes were always interesting and she engaged everyone in group work or in class discussions. She does make you work though, there are papers to write and quizzes, but nothing hard. I would take more classes with her.

She was a great teacher!! Just about everyone loved her!! I recommend her to everyone...she shows a lot of visuals and her test are not to bad but you do have to study for them...I learned a lot from her, she is very inteligent and extreamly nice.

Really nice teacher. Learned a lot in the class. thought it was so interesting that i switched my major to psych. she is really intelligent and funny. her tests are tricky and you need to study for them. did a lot of group/partner work.

Easy and fun class. Has you write some interesting papers that are graded pretty well, (better than tests).

Her lectures are very interesting compared to all of the other classes I have taken this semester. Attendance counts when she feels like sending the sheet around. Her assignments are fun for the most part. You don't really need to pay attention to the syllabus either because all of her dates are 'tentative' and she usually reminds you anyways.

SHE WAS AWESOME! Her class was really fun and she always made lectures interesting by adding little anecdotes in them. Her activities are also really fun. You do have to study for her tests but her notes are enough to study from. Her essays are easy and fun to do too. Wish the class lasted longer. Take her if you can. She's brilliant.

loved this class. She makes every topic fun and interesting. Gives tests and quizzes on the material that was gone over fully in class. assignments are easy as long as ou pay attention. would reccomend this teacher to anyone

Very nice and very easy. She applies her material to real life by telling stories and asking for examples from her students' life. Very open and the tests are pretty easy, you have to study but not very hard. She does a lot of in class activities too so the time goes fast

I LOVE this Professor! I was never bored in class. She makes sure you know the information and can relate to it before you take an exam. You do very well and don't really need the book if you take good notes in class.

She was excellent. funny and engaging. used real life examples so you always understood what she was saying. the class is easy, pay attention and show up and you could get an A. Its impossible to fail her class. She was very helpful and friendly. I would take another class with her.

awesome teacher, very funny and knows a lot about what shes teaching. applies material to funny stories about her life which makes it easy to remember. very easy course with minimal work/study time. go to class everyday and get 5 points added to your grade. highly recommend you take her i would take her again. and dont buy the textbook

She is one of my favorite professors ever. She's hilarious and loves what she is teaching and gets the class really interested. She's a fair grader and usually her assignments are very easy to complete. Definitely recommend her to anyone

Best teacher. Explains clearly and makes classes ENJOYABLE. All you need to do is pay attention and you will learn a lot and be successful in class. Few short essays throughout semester making a very small workload.

GREAT PROFESSOR. Clear, concise, and really nice. Come to class, listen, and participate in class and you will do fine. Tests can be challenging but if you take good notes you will be fine - and spend the occasional 20mins on the book. A++ professor.

Honestly one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is super nice and is always trying to make her class fun. The class was very easy but still made you think. She does take attendance but I never wanted to skip so that was not an issue

Her class was very interesting. I never missed a day and I always looked forward to it. Work wasn't too much and all very manageable. Tests weren't that hard and the assignments were easy and interesting. Take her class.

Best teacher at UML. Easy and fair grader. Does take attendance most of the time but you don't need to show up to pass. Only used the textbook for a take home test but you can find all the answers online.

easy and fun class, not much material, for better or for worse if you are trying to get something out of it. students express opinions on social issues in class, again, for better or for worse. but you can't fall asleep in this class bc discussions are entertaining, ansara is energetic about subject. a couple of quizzes and essays, + journal req.

she's so caring. can be seen as kind of mean at times, but everyone normally likes her. extra credit is the city of lowell related such as school talks about rape victims and drug abuse, etc.

I throughly enjoyed Social Psychology - it was my favorite class to take and I always looked forward to going. She seems a little intimidating but she's not. If you pay attention in class and do what is assigned, you'll do well. She also gives extra points if you attend every class which can be helpful to some.

Doesn't really teach from the book and then tests you on what is in the book. Plenty of opportunities to bring your grade up. She is funny and cares about her students

Amazing professor. Took her for Intro To Psych and Social Psych and learned a lot and actually enjoyed the classes. Quizzes and exams are primarily from the book so they were a little challenging but you can make up in it with other assignments she gives.

Prof. Ansara is my favorite professor so far at UML. Her classes are interactive and she uses real life examples to make everything easy to understand. This is a class youll actually WANT to go to!

Great teacher ! I am a below average student (With challenges) and I got a B !. There are MANY opportunities to improve your grade if you are not a great test taker - Two projects, Journal, Attendance and Extra Credit assignments. The tests are mostly multiple choice and a couple of short answers. Easy A for average student

Professor Ansara is a great professor! Her class is very interactive and she doesn't make it difficult for students to succeed. There is a few group projects, but overall the class is an easy A. She gives students many opportunities to raise their grade in her class, I would take her again if I could.

By far the best teacher I've had at UML so far. Class was filled with interesting lectures, clear instructions & grading criteria, and overall just a great environment. She's not afraid to speak up & tell people when they're wrong & does it in a passive informative way rather than condescending. Attendance is mandatory but you'll want 2 be there!

Very personal, and actually cares about her student. her monthly check-ins are extremely nice and just shows that she actually cares about what's going on in her students lives outside the classroom rather than what's going on just inside.

Professor Ansara is a gem at this University. I am a relatively conservative person politically and religiously. Classes like these are always hard because I am in the minority there, but she made sure everyone knew their opinions and perspectives were valid. She encouraged us to learn more about others' experiences. The material is phenomenal!

Best professor I have ever had. In class projects and lectures are of extreme importance and show significance in academic knowledge of professor. Great person and great course. Learned a lot ina short period of time.

Engaging lectures, straightforward class outlines and uses really good real-world examples! I loved this class!

Took her for social psych. Her quizzes are from the book so read and take notes before the quiz!! She is so nice and relates class to real life which I liked. She does share some political opinions which is annoying. But overall 10/10

A passionate professor and the topics are genuinely interesting. They are lecture-heavy, if you are online, they will NOT be recorded so go to class. Not going to lie, a little confused on how she grades but it never a bad grade.

She really is a good professor. She makes lectures enjoyable and the material engaging and easy to retain. As long as you participate and go to class, you should be fine.

Professor Ansara is a great social psychology professor! No PowerPoints, favors students to take notes from the board, but has a variety of activities (many are group-based) to supplement course material. Grading is clear in the syllabus, your grade is made up of different assignments to appeal to different strengths/interests of students.

Her social psych class was great. No essays, but instead multiple journal entries throughout the semester to make up for it. I learned a lot in her class and I found the topics to be very interesting every time. Not too strict but not too too laid back either. If you have the chance to take her class, DO IT!

Extremely kind and empathetic. Many manageable journal entries throughout the semester. You need to study for the quizzes a bit but they're pretty easy. Put in a decent effort and you're set.

Great professer! Only con , for quizzez and tests , the anwser to a question will be A or a. They are both the letter Aa! l but slightly varies so she'll take a point off! Me and a couple people have talked about it. Atleast she should give partial credit if most of the class put the same anwser. Besides that she cares and wants u to suceed!

One of the most charismatic and genuine professors I've ever had. Very clear communication, with her intentions, and enjoys participation. She did not allow her class to be awkward or boring, so be prepared to have discussions! But even if you're a quiet person, she allows for participation points through online boards.

She is very kind and you can tell she really cares for her students. Very easy to talk to and exams are easy just pay attention in class and youll know the exam materials. you should take her

If you think her teaching is biased, you are probably just racist, homophobic, and/or insecure. Every other review has been spot-on. She is an entertaining prof and an outstanding person. My only complaint is that exam questions can be very misleading at times. I'm genuinely gonna miss this class.

One of the best prof. If you want to take social psych or need an easy class, take her!! She doesn't do slides when she lectures so the class is more engaging. She creates a sort of community in the classroom. There's a group project and journaling as homework. Participation matters, you're going to want to! I looked forward to this class! 3 exams
