This is the easiest class I've ever taken. Theres no need to go to class because you can get the notes online. The notes are short, justlike the tests. She lets you drop one score. The tests are either matching or multiple choice. Easy A

Effective and a wonderful instructor. Probably the best in the philosophy department. She's clear, concise, very helpful, reasonable, and has an awesome personality. Lisa is also funny at times. Not as easy as some state. Don't talk during lectures though

this teacher is cool. she's pretty easy and laid back. This is a class that you can take over the summer, chill, and get an A. She gives you detailed notes and just memorize everything on the notes because it's on the test. Tests are matching.

Easiest teacher EVER!! Her test are straight out of her lecture notes which you can get off her webpage. Each chapter note is about a page only (no need to buy the book). 3/4 of her class got A's, rest got b's, grades posted on her webpage

NICE TEACHER! Tries to add as many students as possible, almost everyone gets an A, the rest get Bs. NEVER CHEAT. That is the only way not to get an A or B in this class. Semester Material can be mlearned in a week; very laid back.

This woman has completely lost her mind. At the end of class she decided that she was giving out too many A's, so she decided to give out MORE A's. That's fine by me, except she made us show up to the final just to tell us we didn't have to take it.

Best teacher in the world. Like a 1 unit class, everything is posted online for exams, no need the book except for doing ch questions. If you get 95% going to the final, no need to take it. Take this class if your trying to max out your units.

the class is sooooo big that a lot of people tend not to attend class cuz there's no room. She's a really good teacher and is very lenient with the grading. She has a good heart and is willing to explains things in class. This class is also a GPA booster.

I took in summer, didn't buy the textbook, and ONLY read HW problemswhen there is HW due. Take notes because all the exams are from notes. She doesn't grade hard, just do all the works and you'll get A or B. EASY GPA BOOSTER!

This class was soooo easy. for the final, if you had an A you didnt even have to take it , but if you did, it was the same as the previous tests we had taken before, so there was nothing new to learn. but i couldnt tell you how many times i fell asleep in her class

Her class was the biggest joke ever. Take her if you want to be reminded of how easy middle school was. She goes over HW in class and assigns questions from the textbook that was written for kids. The final was doing over one of the two previous tests.

This class is an easy A or B for students. More than half of the whole class got an A in their midterms. Only one essay to turn in at the end of the semester. One midterm and a final.

Fair and nice teacher, easy materials. She makes the class easier than it seems to be. Highly recommended if want to boost up GPA.

This class is such a joke. You are guaranteed an A or B in this class. Theres a community service project for this class, but she just changed her mind and let us turn in a can of food for crying out loud. Just show up for midterms and you'll be fine since she posts everything you need to know for them on her website.

This teacher is one of the best teacher I ever had. She not only cares about the subject but also about the students. She teaches with clarity and specific examples.You will love having her as ur teacher. And for some ungrateful students if you cant say anything nice about someone or something dont say anything bad. She is too easy and I want my money back. j/k She's a really nice professor and everything on the exams is from her powerpoints so you don't even need the book... B/c exams are from her powerpoint, you must know EXACT terms so study the PP well.

This is by far the easiest class in sjsu. First midterm is in class, and the other two are take home. One two-page paper, and one three-page paper. They are all super easy. If you have an A, u dont have to take the final, but the final is take-home anyway. I never showed up to class except for midterms and I still got an A. She's a really nice prof

THE easiest class I have taken at SJSU. DEFINITE GPA booster. The class involved 1 inclass test, 1 takehome, and 1 takehome final (that you didnt have to take if you had a high enough grade). There are a couple easy papers and then you're done. Class basically involved listening to a couple boasting students argue their minds about computer ethics.

A great teacher. I recommend going to class everday to grasp what she is trying to rely to students. The class material is quite interesting and she elaborates the topics in class well. Tests are not bad if you read and go to class. Papers just take time to do. If you need an Bus186 or a PHIL 186 teacher then take Bernasconi.

This is a big class because every student in Business needs to take it. Each lecture is nearly over 100 students. She posts her lectures and all assignments on her website, which you barely have to go to class. However, she shows film that will be on the midterms and final. She grades fairly easy on the paper if you know how to write a PHIL paper.

Excellent teacher! Great upbeat attitute and personality. The class consists of 2 papers which you can easily get an A if you just follow the directions. In addition, there are 3 midterms where the questions come straight from her PP slides and on the videos shown in class. This class might be boring at times, but overall, it is an easy A.

pretty simple class, the book sucked so we ended up ditching it. assignments straight forward, tests aren't hard to study for, would take again.

Wow. Where to begin? Easiest class in the history of school. She cut out one essay, made two midterms (and final)take home, always let us out early or canceled class, no text book, you could re-do your one essay. She was very scattered, could not work the VCR or powerpoint (this was a technology class!) Sweet person. Meant well. Loved her dog!

This is a pretty straightfoward class. She doesn't try to make things difficult: 2 written assignments, 2 mid terms, and a *final* ;). You'll get some interesting ethical concepts out of the class. No need for textbook, the lecture notes are outlined on her website. Overall, with little effort, this was an easy A class and she's a very nice person.

Easy? Yeah. But if you go to class and read and all that stuff, you'll end up thinking and learning about religion and technology and ethics without much pressure. Mattie, her dog, was also awesome, but I don't think the deans are allowing the prof. to bring Mattie any more.

Very easy class and very nice professor. Class can be boring but she tries to make it interesting. 2 midterms and 1 group project. If you have an A in her class you don't have to take the final.

Didn't take the final and got an A. Just take her. The only hard part about this class is trying to get in it(screwed if you got a later date for registration).

THIS IS THE EASIEST CLASS EVER!!! You don't need to buy the book. exams are copy/paste from the slides and all you have to do is matching. There is one group project and since the class is so big it takes up about 5-6 class days...and you don't have to be there! 10% of your grade is bringing in a canned food.

This class is really easy. We do a lot of discussion so its pretty interesting. She always brings her dog, Maddie, which is cool. Nice teacher and really understanding..she accepts late work.

I never thought I'd complain about this, but this class was just TOO easy. The subject matter is interesting and I love the discussions, videos, and reading. There's no real motivation to put in effort because we're not even tested on most of what we read. Take this for a relaxing class to boost your GPA, but you need to be self-motivated to learn.

Professor Bernasconi- a professor who really works to engage the students! Very polite and fair. Show up to her lectures and do all her assignments and you'll do very well! A+ instructor!

I hate philosophy but i actually liked her class! it was too easy. i couldn't believe i got an A in that class. she's so easy.

Easiest class ever. Hard to get anything lower than an A. Three Midterms, 2 papers, group presentation, and a final. Midterms are straight out of her lecture notes. Just matching terms with definitions. Can finish each midterm in 10-20 minutes. Dont even bother with the book. You wont need to open it. She's really friendly and helpful.

It's almost sad how incredibly easy this class is. No need for a book, all the notes you need are given to you. All tests are matching... only take 5-10 minutes. 1 easy group project, paper or presentation. She left for surgery near the end of the semester, so she may be gone. Take her if you can, easy A.

You'll find her humurous. She speaks extremely slow, nice, and make funny jokes sometimes. Take her, respect her teaching methods, and don't be rude. Overall, her class wasn't that easy like other people said. You'll need to study, do the group project, and write the papers. The written papers were easy.

You MUST memorize definitions from the book to get an A. 2 Essays are cake as long as you follow her directions. HW rarely graded for correctness, usually just turn in HW for cr/nc. 5% of grade is turning in a can of food. (Good cause while fulfilling community service requirement IMO) Class is an easy A folks. Just be respectful of the teacher.

Extremely easy class it's almost impossible to get an A. You do have to study a bit (and I actually learned), but if you do it'll really pay off. She really tries to help the students as much as possible and she's willing to negociate. Definitely take her if you can.

Good professor! But people have taken advantage of her kindness so she says she plans to make it more difficult. You know.. despite it being an easy course, you could ACTUALLY learn something if you cared about more than just getting an easy grade. People are ridiculous - Dont be afraid of having to work and study and just go get an education.

she's kinda nutty, she really likes to bring dogs to class. Her stories/lessons are boring and lame. Overall the class is very easy, she gives you a study guide before every test. Just study it one night ahead and you should be able to get an A.

Whoever posted the negative comments below is out of their mind. Bernasconi is a very nice, very fair teacher. The class is enjoyable and is not too time consuming. Straightforward group project, fair midterms, several light papers. It sounds like the person below needs to work on personal hygiene, instead of blaming the well-behaved, harmless dog.

A very kind and helpful professor. She never punishes for being late nor for late papers. Extremely helpful. Easy going. Very understanding. Interesting class: discussions, videos, and feedback. Take this class. You are more likely than not to get an A!

nice professor. the class is not hard. come to class and prepare for the test, you will get a good grade. the test is base on the study guid.

Attendance isn't really necessary. Get into a good group, since a chunk of your grade is based on the project. Study(and memorize) what she tells you to study for the exams. Also included a conclusion for your writing, otherwise she'll deduct points. If you have an A(95% I think), not an A-, you'll be excuse from the final!!!

Exams are easy. She provides Study Guides and tells you exactly what to study. She also gives you clear guidelines for projects. The more classes you attend, the better off you will be.

Simple class. Hard to fail this class as long as you make sense. She brings her dogs to class, but whatever. Papers here and there, but they're like two pages long. Tests are simple. I think you watch The Matrix sometime mid-semester.

You can skip the final if you get an A on all three midterms, which is already easy if you study the questions from the textbook. If anyone gets below a B in this class they need to re-evaluate why they're attending a university. She's nice and provides everything needed to get an A in her class. Simple papers and simple exams (matching terms). If anybody needs a stress free class to take this is the one.

I took this as a summer class. The textbook is NOT required because all material comes from her notes. Before each of the 2 exams, she went over EXACTLY what would be on them (exams matching terms with definitions). Grades are made up of 2 simple one-page essays, 2 exams, a VERY casual presentation, and bringing in canned food item. Super easy!

She brings her dogs to class, awesome. Take this class its a breeze and i took it in the summer. I don't normally write comments but as a senior now its a must I do for you guys. Pure memorization for tests... so yeah you know how it goes.

Professor Bernasconi is very straight forward in her grading and if you follow instructions then you will do well. The only insight I have is make sure to study the notes given well and understand concepts for the tests and you will do well.

I would definitely recommend her, one of the better professors I have had while at SJSU. She is also available for help if needed. Tests are average, you do need to study the material to pass but not unreasonable.

Looking for an easy A? Take her. No textbook required, lecture notes are all online, quick replies by email. Expect 2 short papers, 3 exams and she tells you everything you need to study for so go to the class before the exam! 1 group project but she doesn't require a presentation anymore, just email it to her. Extra credit question in every exam, usually based on a movies watched it class. Did I mention she brings her dog sometimes?!

Professor Bernasconi is EXTREMELY nice. She understands that the students in the class are not philosophy majors, so the class is not too difficult. She tells you EXACTLY what's going to be on the exam. It would be amazing if anyone were to fail this course.

She is kind and generous in grading as long as you put efforts in writing with legitimate statements and avoid making too many grammatical mistakes. Very meaningful activity for extra credit is to donate food cans and vermicelli to local charities. It is all about ethical dilemmas in professional careers so I highly suggest you to take her.

This class is super easy in winter session. She have 1 critical response, 1 film journal, and 1 Final Exam. If you attend class everyday, you will be able to do well and learn more. Make sure you are well prepare for the final exam. Take her.

This class is super easy and super boring. All you do is watch videos (that she posts online) and read a book and do a group presentation. There is a midterm and final that are both take home. I honestly was hoping to actually learn something from this class but I did not. If you are looking for a easy A this is the class for you

She only gives a few B+s each semester and the rest are As. She is understanding and the course material is easy. She gives full points for just completing the assignment. I would take her again immediately.

Easiest class ever. You have like 4 assignments for the semester. No homework. One PowerPoint group project, all tests are definition matching, 2 papers which are about 2 pages long. Roll is not taken. Easiest A of all time.

Easiest class I've ever taken! Group project was a powerpoint presentation. Group members are randomly assigned. One downside though, she won't grade essays (there's only 1 essay assignment) for months so you're in the dark on what grade you got on it for a long while. Plus side: NO BOOK! You study the notes off a custom website.

I would recommend taking her class, again. No doubt. She responds to e-mails. Her assignments are straightforward: 2-3 assignments per week. (reading assignment, movie summaries, 1 interview) She ended up taking one week of class out. Real simple!

Bernasconi is a good Professor. You still need to try to review the material. Philosophy is based on few main concepts and you need concrete knowledge on the subject for you to be successful in the writing assignments, theres a few.

The easiest 3 units I've ever earned in my life. Highly recommend taking her during winter session if you can! Two quizzes, super easy research paper, and two other incredibly easy assignments, that's it.

This class was really easy and a class you do not have to spend much time on. It was the least stressful class which was really nice and helpful especially when you have other difficult courses you need to focus on. The assignments are all easy, based on your opinion, and short! Definitely would take this professor again.

Bus 186 with Professor Bernasconi is a great class! The class is asynchronous and there are 5 modules, one for each month. There's one quiz every month and professor provides notes to prepare. There's one group project which is super easy and you make slides. There's an interview final and there's 1 essay and that's it! Feel free to take her!

THE BEST CLASS AND PROFESSOR EVER! Quizzes are untimed based on the slides. Wish I can thank her in person for not being those professors who give out unnecessary work because they enjoy torturing students.

For PHIL-186, Professor Bernasconi's course structure is clear and very manageable, materials are all listed on Canvas. Sets up assignments that get students thinking for themselves and grading is not at all unreasonably difficult. Would recommend.

3 Midterms (MC), 1 Group Project, and 1 Final (MC). Most questions are matching ones and some are from reading lecture notes, lockdown browser but no cam. Group project difficulty depends on the people, just follow instructions and you'll do fine. Simple and easy.

Fun class, an amazing teacher and a very light grader. Class is graded on 10 homework assignments, 3 exams, and a final group project. All work is very easy and can be completed within a few minutes. Exams were super easy, with unlimited time and matching words to definitions. I would definitely take Professor Bernasconi again if I had the chance.

Needed this class to fulfill my Area V and decided to take it over the summer. Probably the easiest summer course I've taken. Only graded by 4 things: 2 quizzes,1 short report, and 1 short essay. Prof Bernasconi didn't interact with us much aside from Canvas announcements and answering our emails. Take this class if you need an easy A!

Great class to fill a GE. Consisted of 3 essay exams, 1 EC, and 1 paper on Frankenstein. Don't be intimidated, the essays are 5 mini short answer questions, and she gives you a word requirement to help. Everything is due within a month of each other so plenty of time. Also usually extends the deadlines up to a week, so she's awesome. Def take her!!

Take this class if you want an easy A. She doesn't give us a heavy workload and provides plenty of time to complete the assignments.

One of the easiest classes I have ever taken, I think we had one or two assignments each month lol, barely any work. One group project that she lets you work on until finals week, it is a very chill class; it is so easy to the point that I forgot I even had this class.

Professor Bernasconi's BUS186 class is a great option - mostly easy assignments and exams, with helpful resources like Unstuck study to supplement studying. The workload is manageable, and the class is worth taking for the credit.

Awesome class. 1 group project at the beginning and you get to choose your topic. For the discussion questions, it's basically your opinion on the other 9 group presentations. Essay was 250 words and final is 500 words. Prof is super understanding and caring and will extend deadlines if necessary. Responds to emails in timely manner.

Easiest class ever. Took Phil110 for an upper division GE, I think area V. Winter session asynchronous course. It was 4 small writing assignments (like 250-300 words). If u follow the instructions she gives u 100%. Like genuinely the easiest credits ever.

Easiest class I've taken at sjsu. She has 3-4 essay due, and one final, not that hard to do minimum of words is usually 500 words, and her grading is easy and organized, so you wont stress about your grades at the end, she supports you to do good and understand you have other classes.
