I took this class as a night class, and the material is quite interesting, unfortunately Professor Broda was feeling ill for a couple weeks and had to cancel a few classes, so I had to rely on the text book alot. The class is fairly easy though, and she was a fair prof considering she cancelled a few classes.

Lisa is a great instructor!!! Really enjoyed her class. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of taking her class to do so. Yes, there are papers in her class, but they are reaction papers. This means you read an article, and then give a reaction based on class material and your own thoughts. Again...REALLY GREAT PROF!!!

I loved Lisa, she is a great prof. It is never easy to teach a night class but I rarely found myself getting bored. I would suggest that people not buy both texts for this class as one is outrageously outdated (doesn't have YCJA in it) and $140 is a lot to spend for one class. The class and Lisa are great though!!

Marks very hard. Highest MT mark was 81%. Her MTs are choices of essays, as are her finals. She assigns readings with which you must write papers on and appear at the in-class discussions to receive full marks. The papers are not marked on content (to a degree) but they must be completed with quality in mind and in the APA style.

Dr. Broda's lecturing style is great. She is full of spunk and keeps the class interesting. She also shows videos throughout the semester that are tested on later. Unfortunately, her midterm was entirely multiple choice, so there is little room to prove yourself. The group work was an easy 10%, but I wish there was a paper in the class.
