Very helpful and fair.

I took this online and it was my first online class through this school. At first, it was difficult to get the expectations and schedule down, but she was really lenient and graded fairly. It might have something to do with having a kid in the middle of the quarter, but she seemed a little preoccupied and I didn't get much feedback from her.

She was a great teacher, really down to earth and very open to discussion. She seems to really care about her students.

On line prof. and was very helpful! She gave great feedback on projects and would recommend anyone take her classes! She showed interest in the students and subject!

Awesome Professor!! Took class online and loved it!! Lisa is very compassionate and caring, and she doesn't pick at all of your work. She grades very fair and if you complete all work you'll get an A. There are more assignments if you take online, but you don't have to give a presentation like campus students do!! Highly reccommend this instructor

Great teacher. Very helpful and cares about students. Class was actually easy due to a few classes being cancelled which meant we had to do one less paper. The class wouldnt have been bad even with the extra paper. I have this class at the end of my day at school which is about 10 hours long and I dont mind going to this class.

Honestly, the nicest teacher I've ever had. She is so sweet and caring. She's also pretty easy and just wants you to care about writing and really get into it. You can tell she really loves her job and she makes everyone feel important. She is probably Sinclair's best teacher.

i had the combined ENG111 & ACA 297 and i loved her! LOVE LOVE LOVE. always willing to help and for our papers we could write whatever we wanted too! which makes in sooo much easier for us. Even though i always had a lot of errors on my paper i still got no lower than a 94% on a paper! :) pleasee take her class. you will love it!

Lisa is one of the most helpfull instructors here at Sinclair. Some English instructors don't explain a thing but Lisa makes sure you understand everything and she is always available.

Lisa is probably one of the best teachers I've had. I love the way she teaches. She kinda lets you figure things out, for the most part, but she is there anytime for anything. Mrs Cook was awesome i had her for ENG 111 and ACA 296 i believe it was and i actually decided to take her for English 112 as well. she was so laid back and helped us a lot my whole class really liked her. she was funny and she will help you out with anything. If i can take her in any of my other classes i defiantly will.

Took this class online. Grading expectations and deadlines for papers are crystal clear. She provides samples of each essay assigned, so you know what you are doing. I took Mrs. Cook's online ENG 1201 course over the summer semester and I don't regret it one bit. I was a little nervous at first about taking an english class online, but the workload was pretty light and Mrs. Cook is easy to get in touch with and responds to emails quickly. I would recommend any online course she teaches!

The weekly assignments in this class were geared toward preparing for the final project, a research paperePortfolio. I consider myself a fairly competent writer, and I still learned a lot here. Lots of peer review. Lisa is prompt with answering e-mails, sends periodic updates, and just seems like an overall nice person. Great classprofessor!

I love Lisa's class! she is very informative and always willing to help. She makes you learn how to establish a strong opinion and translate it on paper. Take her service learning credit if you can! it's really easy and a lot of fun. Don't be afraid to write! If you try hard she will help you and you'll get the grade you deserve.

She is by far the number one professor/teacher I have ever had. She is here to help you learn and grow as a writer, and she provides multiple opportunities for revision. Please take her for English if you can.

She is a very good teacher. She responds to email in a timely manner and is very caring. She offers examples for the assignments and as long as you follow the format and directions, she will pass you. Showing up for class is helpful but if you needed to miss, you wouldn't be lost.

I felt I did bad on more assignments than I should have and still got an A. I felt she truly cared about her students and actually felt bad that we were meeting online. You could tell she enjoyed face to face learning and getting to know her students. Some of the quizzes were difficult but hardly end up impacting your grade.

A lot of essays but to be expected for an English course. Subjects/topics are pretty easy. If you even half-way try you should do fine. Just due the assignments on time and you will pass. Very helpful when assistance is needed.

Being a composition course, I expected the papers to be a lot more labor intensive, but Professor Cook provides ample time and opportunity to go over everything with the students along the way. She is a very kind woman who understands that life happens and is willing to work around whatever may come up. She's great!

The discussion posts are pretty much graded for completion which is nice, but obviously the more serious assignments she actually grades. However, she provides good feedback and doesn't just tear you apart! I enjoyed the class, it was pretty easy and chill as long as you keep up with everything.

I took English 1101 online with Prof. Cook through CCP as a junior in high school. There were 2 due dates a week and essays were done over 2 week periods. Discussion posts are essentially for completion as long as you follow the guidelines that are posted. Prof. Cook gives good feedback and grades fairly easily if you follow the rubric.

Very reasonable course load for an English comp 1 class. We wrote about 5 papers all together. The first 4 were mostly 3-5 pages long and we had plenty of time to write them. The last paper was a researched argument paper that we had the rest of the semester to work on. We also get help from the librarians on the final paper. She is also very nice!

By so far the best professor I've met at Sinclair!!

There were five papers, a narrative essay ne vs Samsung), a rhetorical analysis essay in which you analyze a speech, and finally a research paper. Every essay only needs to be about 1,000 words to get an A, and she gives you detailed feedback for each rough draft, and plenty of time to write each essay. Wonderful teacher Im taking her again now.
