She is by far the best teacher I have this semester. She must be the nicest teacher I've ever had. I wish I had her for all my math classes.

Lisa was a great teacher. White, american, english speaking, and easy to under stand. She would go over points untill you understood them. I only had her for a short time until she left with complications w/ her pregnancy, but a great prof!!!

Very helpful on explainging problems. Homework is collected every week and there are 4 tests. xtra credit for doing a prob. on the board. its calc2 so it'll be hard but she tries her best to help everyone. Tests are over hw and suggested prob. she gives

She is the best math teacher CMU has to offer. I understood everything she taught and she was an extremely easy grader. You would have about 5 homework problems to do every week that were easy. Very nice and highly recommended.

Great Teacher! Explains everything very clearly and is always willing to offer help if you need it. Gives only about 5-6 homework problems per week. And also suggests other problems from the book to focus on.

Really helped clarify a lot of concepts in Calculus than when I first took it in highschool. Very good at presenting ideas and answering questions. Amazing atmosphere in the classroom. I always recommend her to anyone who is dreading taking Calculus but who has to for their degree.

As a non-math major I find math (especially calculus) evil! But Dr. Demeyer is the type of professor that ALL professors should model after. She is helpful, and cares for her student's success. If you have to take calculus, TAKE HER!!! I think she's kinda cute too...not gonna lie!

Probaly the only good math teacher at CMU. Take her for any class possible. Extermely helpful and always Willing to talk to you. Calc 2 isn't the easiest so just do hw to help understand. Usually uses in class problems on tests and weekly quizzes. (or at least similar problems) Study quizzes and tests for final and you'll do fine.

Math is not my strong subject, but I studied really hard and got an A. Other people who are better at math found things to be easy. She is definitely the best math teacher I have ever had though. She gives you practice problems b4 quizzes that help when studying. Nice understanding woman who respects her students. I highly HIGHLY recommend her. :D

This is what a math class should be. I am not just trying to boost her rating to be nice. She actually earned this score because she teaches the material correctly, is experienced in this subject, and tests you on whether you know all the material at the easiest level.

Take this professor. Business majors: Take regular calc instead of business calc if you can take it with this professor. Go to class so you know the material. Weekly quizzes, homework, and 4 exams including final. Best math teacher I've ever had.

Dr. DeMeyer is the best math teacher I have ever had. I am not good with math but she made everything very easy to understand and was extremely helpful. All of her exams tested everything that we learned in class with no trick questions. I recommend that you do all of the practice problems and I also recommend her as a professor.

Demeyer is an amazing teacher. She's basically there for the students, whatever they need. Need to push the quiz back a day? No problem. Need to spend fifteen more minutes explaining a problem? Sure thing. She's incredible. Great Calculus teacher, but if you haven't taken calculus before, you still need to do all the work.

As someone who dislikes math, I worried about taking Calculus for my math competency; however, Dr. DeMeyer is amazing! There is online homework (with unlimited attempts), weekly quizzes, about 4 exams, and optional homework every day. She is always open to questions and clears anything up that people may be confused on!

Cannot recommend Dr. Demeyer enough, especially if you are a science/math major. Her lectures are incredibly helpful, and I barely have to go to the Math Assistance Center on campus. While it is a math course (thus will be semi-difficult at the very least), Demeyer makes it look incredibly easy. Have the chance to take her?? DO IT!!!!

Dr. DeMeyer is an incredible professor. She makes the concepts easy to understand and is always willing to help with any questions. I had Dr. Demeyer for MTH 644. I could never detail how awesome of a teacher she is ( especially compared with others in the dept). Amazing, fun lectures, and she plans the course well. The material was the hardest ive learned but i enjoyed it because of how well she teaches. & She always has her doors open to help. Lisa is wonderful!!

Dr. Demeyer is a very caring professor and one of the best in the math department. Her door is always open, and she does her best to help students understand the material. She presents everything in a manner that is very understandable. Her tests are not difficult, and as long as you try, you will pass.

Hands down the best math professor I've had. The class is not easy, being an upper division grad class, but she is very explicit in her explanations. The class is not at all test heavy and high importance is placed on understanding rather than scoring a bunch of points. The subject is her expertise and you should certainly take her class.

Dr. Demeyer has been my favorite Math professor I have had yet, she makes math easy as long as you're willing to work with her. She makes coming to class worth it. Make sure to really study for the exams, and use SI if there is one in your class. Her exams are difficult but fair. Wish I could have her teach the rest of my math classes.

LISA!!!!she is by far the best professor here at CMU. I had her for both MTH 232 and 233 she makes learning so fun. The fact that she can take a subject like Calc 3 and make it an easy and learnable subject speaks wonders. Math is can be such a hard subject to teach by she makes sure you have a full grasp of the subject through many examples.

What I was expecting to be a difficult subject, turned out to be my favorite math class I have taken. When looking for a professor for Calc 3 or any math class, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Demeyer.

Extremely lenient & understanding, responds quickly to emails with helpful material, notes often times available outside of class. Over 1 week given for online homework, extensions also available. Great personality and sense of humor, one of my favorite professors this semester, 100% recommend!

I had her for MTH 107. TAKE THIS TEACHER. Her tests are so easy and if you do not finish your homework on time she will give you an extension. You take a quiz at the end of every week. They are like 3 questions and she tells you how to do the problem right before the quiz. My biggest advice is to take Lisa!!!!!!

If you're going to take Math 107, take it with Lisa! She is caring and understanding towards her students, as she will always extend the homework if needed. She always prepares her students for the quizzes and tests by telling us exactly what to expect. If you're taking this class, your best bet is to take it with her!

I loved calc 3 with this professor! very good lectures and cares about students

This was the best professor I have ever had. She is kind, caring, and really wants to help her students understand. She always gives really good test outlines before any exam that help a lot. I loved coming to her class everyday, she really was the best teacher. She made me want to take more math classes!

I wish every mathematics professor was exactly like professor DeMeyer. Her lectures are not boring and the way she explains calculus is like no other. Her homework is on WebWork and extensions are always granted which makes the class much less stressful. 100/10 rating. Do take her class if you can.

Only 3 weeks into the semester and this teacher is amazing. So good at explaining math, caring, responds to emails and messages quickly, grades quickly. If you have the chance, take her. It's either her 9am class or someone else's 10am class, trust me waking up 1hr earlier is def worth it. Already predicted my A grade. Online textbook used.

I strongly dislike math but had to take calculus for my major. She made it tolerable, and I passed with a B which I was very happy with. You definitely have to put in the work, but she will guide you through it. She is very lenient and is always there to help. Weekly homework but she will always give extensions! Take her if she is an option!

I actually have her for MTH 499, but she is a model professor. She loves mathematics and teaching. She will care about your success and improving the class after you're gone. She does not have an easy class, however, but you don't learn from the easy ones.

Very nice, very forgiving partial credit, and a timely grader. Beware her lectures are really just her talking at you. She explains the concepts very well, but if you need to do problems yourself to learn you wont find that in her lectures. Textbook only needed if you do the practice problems, I was able to get an A with only the online homework.
