I liked her. Don't understand the negative ratings. You certainly have to work in her class, though. LOTS of notetaking. She's very clear in her lectures though, will always repeat herself when someone asks, and makes the material interesting. Has a good wit.

Nice lady and clear in her lectures. She even makes it slightly interesting. It's really just a ton of material and lots of work. If you aren't good at history I wouldn't recommend her just because she's very difficult. Try someone easier. 2 tests and a final. All 50 Q multiple choice.

This was a very interesting course. It was actually challenging and I felt like I earned my "A".

Prof. Denmark will make you work to earn the grade, but it's not as hard as most people say. She gives two different grading options (HW and no HW) and two different test options (essay or multiple choice) and she's really helpful if you're struggling

Although she does talk fast, Prof. Denmark is still a great professor. You have the choice to either be graded on HW or just on exams. You can either do a multiple choice or an essay for your tests. If she's talking to fast, say something and she'll slow down. Powerpoints are entertaining, study guide for all readings is online.

Her class was hard. She expected a lot out of her students, but the effort put in was rewarded. My roomate and I studied for 3 days before each test and made A's on all of them. Make sure to find someone to study with. Her class was interesting and sometimes fun. Overall, I would say she has been on of my favorites!

i thought it was one of the hardest classes i have ever takes. there is a lot of reading and you have to pay attention. you also have to study a lot if you want to do remotely well on the tests. i really didnt like the class, it was interesting though

Denmark is a good teacher. Knows what she's talking about. Doesn't put notes on powerpoints so you must listen. Attendance is kind of mandatory. You get 4 absences per quarter. Tests are different formats. Reading required. Take for a B, if you read.

Great teacher. If you come to class, you receive bonus points. Furthermore, participation is a large part of your grade and participation is easy in this class. Tests come straight from the notes. I would definately take this teacher again.

Dr. Denmarks class is not hard if you do the work. Which isn't much. Take really good notes and study. She doesn't make it hard. If I had worked harder I bet I would have gotten an A.

It is not the easiest class, but she gives a lot of opportunities to make an A. She gives extra credit opportunities to increase your grade in the tests, including the final. She is very funny and entertaining. She is a GSU graduate, and knows how the students are. Keep up with the work and an A shouldn't be hard. Strongly recommend it.

She is amazing!!! I have never listened in history or found it interesting until I took her class. She makes you comfortable and want to listen, almost as if she is telling a story. Take good notes during class and listen and you will never have to read the book. Thought she was great! I would even take her again

Very helpful but very specific about what she wants. I worked my butt off and got a B but I learned A LOT. glad I took her and would take her again! She loves what she does and makes you more interested and stays involved in what you're writing about in the research paper!

Dr.Denmark is extremely knowledgeable in her area. The class was not necessarily hard but she gives A LOT of reading...A LOT! She also give a lot of work. If you can actually keep up with the workload you will get an easy A. I really enjoyed the class i just struggled to complete all of my work on time.

Great Teacher that loves what she does.

I really enjoyed the class. Her lectures are pretty interesting. Never even bought the book. All of her tests are pretty straight forward and come from the lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory but it's worth extra credit on the tests. Participation points are given and help on your final grade.

She was a fantastic teacher, great lectures, however the tests were extremely difficult. I had to drop her but if your a good test taker he will be a great teacher for you!

Denmark is awesome. I have absolutely loved her lectures. At the beginning of most classes she will do a quick review of the last lecture and a lot of the questions asked are the ones that are on the test. Go to class! It is so much more enjoyable than reading that awful book!!

Skip class-you might pass, but probably not and you will spend ten times as much time reading. If you go to class-don't bother to buy the book. She is thorough and tells you what you need to know. Her lectures are interesting and full of information.

She's a great professor. Go to class every day. She gives extra credit for attendance. I'm a terrible note taker so I recorded her lectures, wrote them down, and put them on flash cards. I got 100 and over on every test so far. She gives a lot of extra credit but I stopped doing it because I have over a 100 in the class.

Best professor so far. Very knowledgable in her field. Class is always interesting and tends to go by pretty fast (and she usually lets you out 15 minutes early). GO TO CLASS. She gives up to 4 points on test just for showing up, not to mention the endless CQ's and Cultural Activities. Test are fair and easy as long as you study. Would take again.

I have never enjoyed history class or was interested in history at all. However, Professor Demark made history extremely interesting and it ended up being my favorite class all semester. Go to class, listen, and do the extra credit! There's only four tests that account for your grade.

I absolutely LOVED Professor Denmark. Very knowledgeable and excited about history which in turn makes class enjoyable. Her style of teaching is very conversational which for me at least made her easy to pay attention to. Every day she gave a few of the test questions If you come to class and LISTEN, there's no way you shouldn't make an A.

Seriously recommend professor Denmark to EVERYONE!!! Probably my favorite class I've taken at Ga southern yet. Her lectures are interesting, she gives a crazy amount of extra credit and her tests are straight from notes Taken in class. Take this class!! You won't regret it

Prof. Denmark was a great professor. The class is test-based however, she does give you chances to accumulate extra credit points. She provides the lectures online but you have to come to class to fill in the info. attendance isn't mandatory,however you wont pass the tests if you don't show up. DONT BUY THE BOOK! Study your notes and you'll be fine

Fav class this semester, she makes history interesting and gives you everything you need to know for the tests. Only three exams and a final, but SO much EASY extra credit just given out by answering questions during class and going to lectures. If u don't plan on attending class I would get the book, but otherwise you won't need it.

Professor Denmark will be one of your favorite Professors. I don't like history and she made each lecture interesting. Attendance is not mandatory but its where you get the notes that will help with tests. there are only 3 tests and a final. Its all multiple choice and she gives LOTS of extra credit. Dr Denmark would ask questions at the beginning of each class about the previous lecture and you got extra credit points that were added to test grades for answering correctly. Her lectures were AWESOME, very descriptive and very easy to follow. The test were also very short & very straight forward & with extra credit, it was easy to make a 100+

Lectures are engaging and actually interesting. History has never been my subject, but the lectures and lecture guide containing exam like questions helped me succeed on tests. The extra credit points helped too. She allows you to argue any answers you may have chosen on tests as well, so it's possible to do great in this class.

GREAT PROFESSOR! TAKE HER YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!! Just by not missing class you get 3 points extra credit, usually bonus questions on the exam, and gives multiple other chances for bonus points. Super funny. Listen, take notes and study those notes and YOU WILL PASS and most likely get an A or B

To the family of Professor Denmark, she's not a bad person but a great professor. To the students, I took her on a recommendation. Had her for my Historical Methods class and she made the course feel like a 5000+ course. She is a tough grader but she'll give excellent feedback. Don't procrastinate. I look forward to taking her again.

Lots and lots of extra credit. Her lectures are very engaging and interesting. Tests are tough, she had questions like "pick three choices that are correct and if you. don't get all three no half credit". If you come to class and you look over your notes, it won't be a hard class.

I never loved history class but she made it interesting and easy to understand. She talks fast and doesn't have a PowerPoint so I recommend going to every class to take notes and possibly recording the lecture so you can go back and listen. Only 4 tests and gives good study guides. Extra credit is offered. I bought the textbook but never opened it

As long as you show up AND TAKE GREAT NOTES, Dr. Denmark is fantastic. Her interest in history is evident with her great lectures. She gives extra credit just for being in class. It can be really easy to get an A. I HIGHLY recommend her. Other teachers at the school I've heard are not as superior to her.

You do need to go to class and take notes to get an A but its such an easy A. She gives extra credit for going to class and for each test. Her lectures go by fast bc she is so interesting. Dont buy the book I never used it. Use sample questions in the course packet to find quizlets to study for her tests and you will get an A.

Dr. Denmark is hands down my favorite professor at GSU. I have had her three times and I don't plan to stop any time soon. She is hard and the toughest grader I have ever experienced, but she cares about students and gives the best feedback possible. Passing her class takes work, but it is rewarding and she is such a great and fun professor.

Dr. Denmark was by far one of my favorite professors so far. She is very passionate about what she teaches and provides a lot of resources for studying. The powerpoints don't include all information on exams, so good notes are a must. Attendance is mandatory and participation is a big part of your grade, but she makes it engaging to be in class.

Professor Denmark was one of the best professors I have ever had. There is a good bit of reading and preparation you have to do before each class. She does Tophat during class to quiz you on the assigned readings. As long as you take good notes during class, the tests will be easy. It is impossible to not learn something in this class. 10/10

not hard at all especially if you do the readings and come to class everyday. attendance is extra credit on tests and she offers a lot of other extra credit if you pay attention to emails she sends. she doesn’t leave out historical details that a lot of professors omit. she’s kinda funny too. i would definitely take another class of hers.

Dr. Denmark was phenomenal! I loved her lectures bc she tried to keep them interactive. Textbook was $12 (GA Hist). We often did discussion days on book (those were my fav). Allowed 4 pages of 12 pt. notes on ALL exams: which consisted on multiple choice, fill in blank, short-answer, and 2-3 essay questions. Would take again!

All I can say is DO THE EXTRA CREDIT and PAY ATTENTION TO THE LECTURES. Those two things are literally all I did and I got a 100 in the class.

Fantastic lecturer who knows what she's talking about. Beware, most of the grade comes from tests by a significant margin! Keep up with the study question she posts and review the in-class quizzes and you'll do great.

This professor was my favorite at GSU! Most of your grade is based on exams, a little is attendance. Tophat is used for attendance and you get extra credit for 80% or higher. The exams are easy just look over the tophat and reviews each week. SO MUCH extra credit is offered. Her lectures were great, as long as you try you will do good in this class

Overall good professor. attend lectures and you will pass. she explains the topics really well and makes the lectures interesting. test are strictly lecture based. complete the study guides she posts and be present for tophat questions at the beginning of class. ended with a B due to my grade on the final but got As on every other test.

Professor Denmark was great! I had her for a comp survey, and she's an excellent lecturer. She kept me interested the entire time. If you do not attend class, you will not pass her class. She does provide extra credit, which she applies to each exam. Overall, you will pass if you attend class and take notes.

One of my favorite professors I've had so far! She is really passionate about history and wants you to do well in the class. Your final grade is exam-heavy, so make sure you attend lectures and come to class so you can do the TopHat, which has lots of exam questions on it. Take advantage of the extra credit and there's no reason you wont get an A.

Dr. Denmark made history class engaging for someone who can't stand history classes. We had a few grading discrepancies as a class, but she resovled any issues we had. Lots of extra credit opportunities too. Nice lady, nice teacher, just not a fan of history so not my favorite class.

Dr. Denmark's approach to teaching history always had me interested in the topics of discussion. She has a great sense of humor, and ties it into her lessons. She gives a TON of extra credit opportunities as well. It is important to take very good notes or else tests may be challenging. Overall, you're in good hands if you decide to take her.

Attendance is not required, but it is necessary for using Top Hat, which constitutes 13% of your overall grade. The class is highly engaging and informative, offering ample opportunities for learning. There are only three tests, each with 25 questions, but the instructor also provides extra credit that contributes to your exam grade.

I really enjoyed how Dr. Denmark did lectures. Take very detailed notes and you should be okay. However, your grade is dependent on 4 exams and attendance (TopHat) questions. If you are not a great test taker, I do not recommend her course. She is accessible outside of class and wants you to succeed, and will talk about your tests with you.

Dr. Denmark is truly amazing! Her passion for what she teaches radiates throughout her lectures and keeps you captivated. She helped me to fall back in love with history. As long as you listen to each lecture and take good notes you will do well on the quizzes. The newspaper assignments are also a lot of fun & tie in with the lectures

I LOVE this professor. I actually don't dread being in this class and her lectures are very interesting. She gives you lecture outlines and you use that to take notes on which I 100% recommend. also definitely sit in the front because that helps me a lot. I am doing better in this class than any other due to her being able to keep my attention.

She is one of the most hilarious people I have ever met in my life. If I saw her out in public I would not hesitate to talk to her. Need to share a beverage with her one day. Amazing lectures, so good that I would not even have to study. I can remember mostly what she says in class. Hope her soccer teams win.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Denmark's US History class! She's got a great personality, very caring and understanding of peoples circumstances as long as you are vocal about them. Her class is lecture heavily and you should look at the outlines for the week before going in to be caught up. However, assignments are light and it's a enjoyable class.
