Great instructor! She is hard and demands a lot of thinking. I learned a lot and it will help me with the rest of my classes. She is very helpful and always available. I wish she taught more classes.

She is a difficult professor but she helps anyway she can. She is very nice but she does not hand out A's very often. She does not give F's on essays if you meet al of the requirements. This class is easy to get a B but impossible to get an A.

There are no surprises with her. She tells you exactly what she wants. Every test you have is open book and you are allowed to use your notes. She does not give many A's, but you are guaranteed not to fail. If you meet all the requirements, she will give you a C.

Mrs. Diehl is a wonderful teacher. She is difficult, but she outlines everything she wants in her papers ahead of time and very clearly in a rubric. She goes over each paper afterward. I highly recommend her! She makes all of her projects very interesting and for poetry, you analyze your favorite song! It's the best English class I've ever taken.

Mrs. Diehl is a good and clear professor, and she tells you exactly what she wants. However, unless you are somehow perfect at writing, you will not receive an A. I made an 89 and she refused to budge on it. Tests are super easy, but she grades papers harshly.

I love her! You write four essays in the class and they are worth 75% of your grade. Tests are only 10% and they are all open note. Overall she is a good teacher, there if you need help, and tells you exactly what she wants. The class was always fun to intend, we had a lot of class discussions. She takes attendance so don't not go to class!

Wonderful teacher. Take her class if you want to learn to be a better writer. She isn't easy by any means but if you give her a rough draft 3x she will correct it enough for you to get at least a B on it. Also you can go to her with another class' paper and she will edit it. SHE WILL DROP YOU if you miss too much class. Be there and edit a lot.

Mrs. Diehl is a good teacher, she explains everything really well and all the testsprojects are easy because they're open note. I have gotten an A on everything except for her papers. We write a moderate amount of papers, but she grades REALLY tough. If you come to class and pay attention you'll do well. Ask for help with papers though.

Lots of group work but nothing for a huge grade. Papers are 75% of the class but if you go into office hours and ask for her to review it, edit it, then take it back to her, you'll get A's. You can use notes on the tests and she gives long but helpful powerpoints. Take notes.

LOVES group projects, VERY strict on grading papers so use the writing lab, take good notes & you'll make a 100 on tests (open note) no studying needed, goes over all reading material so no need to worry about that, very few assignments, nice lady & loves what she does so I'd definitely recommend her, pretty much an easy A

She is a sweet and understanding, however follow the rubricsyllabus always. She will not be messed with. She gives a fair amount of time to work on assignments and she has easy open-note test. Be able to work in groups and be prepared for her tough grading. Her grading gets harder as class go on. She requires books but you don't use them much.

If you have a chance to take Mrs. Diehl please do! She was wonderful and understanding. She's a tough grader on papers but it really helps you become a better writer. Mrs. Diehl's class is super laid back, easy, and fun. She says that participation is a big deal, but I honestly didn't talk much in my morning class and it never affected my grade. As long as you have a clear structure in your papers and know basic grammar, you will pass the class with an AB. 2 open note tests, and 4 papers.

She doesn't give out many essays, but don't take that as a positive thing because she doesn't even offer feedback on the few she does have us write. She informs you of vague criticisms without ever pointing out what you actually did "wrong". You also have to pull teeth just to get time with her without her whining about having to meet with you.

I took Mrs. Diehl for the summer English 1102 class. I thought it would be boring. She made it interesting and realistic. I like her down to earth style and the extra help she gives students. I learned to be a better writer. She is a tough grade but her feedback makes all the difference. If you want to learn, take her!

She will rarely give an A on a paper, expect a B. Your only grades are 3 essays and then the final essay and a few easy group projects. There is no homework and no tests or quizzes. You do not have to pay attention in class to do anything, but attendance is mandatory and she will drop you from the course if you miss more than three days of class.
