She is a great teacher. She is very into what she teaches and shows it through her enthusiasm for the course. I would love to take more classes if she taught them. I highly reccomend her! Great Teacher!! Learned so much from her!

I had Professor Gelman for HG&D and she made 2.5 hours go by very fast. She is upbeat and enthusiastic about the subject and shares lots of interesting stories to help get the points across. Her power-point lectures are from where the test material comes, and it bullet points the most important parts of the book. Power Points = Test Material!

Human Growth & Dev.class I thought it was going to be really hard because the tests were composed of 6 chapters & 2 essay questions,but she does PP and goes over everything at the end you can print a review guide I didn't even read that much of the book & still got an A just study the powerpoints and you'll pass no problem. I really enjoyed Professor Gelman's class. She was extremely supportive and organized in her presentations. The class time went by so fast, and that is hard to do for a 3-hour class. Take her class and study from the power points. You should go to class because the material is very interesting and you want to show her how much you like her :~)

Very easy class, keeps it interesting even though tends to get off topic. Something to be expected in a psychology course. Do the extra credit, attend class, and go over the powerpoints... you don't reeeeaaalllyy need the book...

She knows the material VERY well, and is excited to teach it. She uses examples from her family, and makes the material easy to understand. Pay attention to the Power Point, and you'll ace every quiz / Test!

Professor Gelman was great! I have always been interested in Psychology and after this course, I have become more interested in the course. She uses her family and personal experiences as examples and is very engaging in her teaching, though she reads off of a Powerpoint. I defiantly recommend taking her class!

Awesome Professor! Her powerpoints are very informative, don't buy the text book (you don't need it at ALL). Take notes! She uses personal experiences and funny jokes to help you understand a term/topic. She's great! Would definetly recommend her!

She explains things well and relates it to your life.The class is easy,just attend and take notes.The only bad part is that your grade is based on 4 tests and a final paper.But the test are easy, based only on info from her lectures.I never got below a 78 on them.There is no homework or class work.Only used the book for studying before a test.

Professor Gelman is an awesome professor and an even better person. Her lessons were informative and fun. She has great "style". I would suggest taking her lessons to heart as she clearly explains how to live a happy life and to raise happy, healthy, and intelligent children.

She is kind, interesting, inteligent and her exams are easy if you study she gives you a study guide before every test and posts her power points on the portal. you have one big paper to right at the end and you also get some extra credit. I totally recomend her

Here are some tips for her class: be on time, GO TO CLASS, even if you just sit there and listen it helps! :), buy the text book because she often refers to it, be ready for long lectures, 4 exams. She is a very reasonable grader. I ended with an 89 and she gave me an A. Nice Lady!!

One of the most caring individuals i've ever had the pleasure to learn from. This class is an easy A if you show up and take notes. The exams are multiple choice and don't require you to memorize any of the theories word for word. If you listened in class and understood the material the exams should be a breeze. Best professor ever!

PowerPoint are way more helpful the then text book, I think I opened it once. She is really easy to talk to if you have questions. If you do the study guides and take notes on the PowerPoint's you're bound to get an "A".

I was unsure of taking Human Growth & Development, but now I think I'll miss it. Throughout the semester, Prof. Gelman made herself 100% approachable and genuine. She would tie her own experience into what we were learning. Also, the study guides are super handy. I read more of the textbook than I needed. Thought-provoking & enjoyable!!

She made the class interesting, and answered all questions students had. You learn a lot of interesting material and her delivery is outstanding. If you participate, study notes, and listen to lectures you can pass this course. She is a great professor and I am definitely going to take a course with her again.

Professor Gleman was nice, smart and funny. She gives you all the materials you need to pass all you have to do is study. Her tests were easy compared to some of the professors I've had. One paper to do and she will overlook your rough draft and tell you what to you need to work on. Loved her! :)

Probably one of my favorite professors. Definitely understands what she is teaching and talking about. Few tests, fairly easy if you study somewhat. Reading helps but it not necessary. I plan on taking her for Human Growth and Development.

One of my favorite professors. She knows her material well and her lectures are interesting. I will say I wish she would give quizzes so we would know where we stand on the material. I can say for certain the exams are a little tough for someone who hasn't been in school recently and doesn't have their learning style figured out.

Gelman makes her lectures fun and interesting. She also likes to do discussion questions so that you have a chance to interact with other students who may help you understand a topic when you are not quite sure. Not many tests, but the ones she does give are super clear and easy. I recommend her!

Prof Gelman I can say made me really interested in psych. I've always been fascinated in how the mind works but never really knew how much hasn't even been explored. She makes me proud to be a psych major! PRINT OUT SLIDES, some of the notes are lengthy but are useful for test. Would recommend to anyone!

The study guides for the exams are very helpful. I would recommend her to anyone, and would enjoy taking another course with her in the future.

Prof. g is still to this day the best prof. I have ever had. I would even go to her office after class and just sit and talk with her picking her brain. She has a few homework assignments and a paper. She even wrote a letter of recommendation for my new job. I wish she taught everyone of my courses that I need to graduate!

I LOVE HER. She is seriously amazing. Clear study guides and she makes the lectures so interesting. I would take her a million times if I could. She is understanding, sweet, and funny. Three exams that are pretty easy and one required quiz that she makes sure we will get a good grade on. I do not have one complaint for her.

I took Human growth with Prof Gelman and when I saw that she was going to teach Psychology I never doubt about taking this class with her. She gives examples of real life related with the lecture and you better pay attention to them because the test are based on the power points and what she talks about in class. Most is lecturing which she makes very interesting with humor and real life comparisons which make it very easy to memorize. Notes are taken through out every class. Very little home work given as well. One of my favorite classes.

Gives points for attendance. Takes points away for leaving early or no-showing. Has study guides for every quiz/test. She makes class interesting and somewhat entertaining.

One of my favorite professors! Super caring and will joke/laugh with students. Interesting lectures and an enjoyable class. Could probably pass with missing a handful of classes because she posts the powerpoints on Canvas, but it's better to show up and get the extra information. I first took professor Gelman for Intro to Psych. After one semester I enjoyed her class so much I took her again for DEV. She is a good professor and makes the material fairly easy to understand. She cares about her students and is very accommodating of any scheduling conflicts as long as they are reasonable. Read thepowerpoints and tests are easy

Loved her lectures. She is kind of quirky but she truly cares about her students. Show up to class on a regular basis for class discussions and sit in for her lectures to earn the A. She is very helpful and understanding if you give her a heads up about missing a class or test. I recommend her, especially if majoring in psychology.

Professor Gelman was an outstanding professor. Her tests are online/not in class, 25 questions, 30 minutes, but you can access all her PowerPoints. Her discussions are easy. The only writing assignment is the Reflective Journal on all the chapters. Follow her advice and do each chapter after Professor Gelman finishes a chapter.

Professor Gelman was very helpful in many things, hurricane Ian hit and even then she truly cares about her students. I had missed a test and although I did not have a good reason for missing it she still let me take the test and it helped boost my grade. As long as you take notes and communicate she is a great professor.

This was easily one of my favorite classes of the semester. The work load is light and she grades fairly. She is very understanding if you have something going on outside of class affecting your school work. Mostly just lectures, but they're interesting and make sense. As long as you listen in class and do the homework you will pass this class.

Professor Gelman is a wonderful professor who is very clearly extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her subject. Taking notes is an ABSOLUTE MUST. And you should study with the online textbook though as the quizzes don't have many questions and a few errors can really affect you. Also do the extra credit please it is unbelievably easy.

Professor Gelman was a great professor. She was my first ever Intro to Psych professor and I wish I was able to pick her again for Lifespan Development. The only thing I would say, is that she does lecture the whole class. There were no in-class activities, which might make it harder to stay engaged the whole time. Great class overall!

This class was pretty simple with barely any assignments. She gave great lectures. Prof. Gelman made sure you understood things, and if you didn't she would explain it to you again and give you a ton of examples. She took a pretty long time to email me back whenever I emailed her, so I recommend talking to her before or after class.
