For a 100 level class this class is very difficult and confusing. Consistently makes mistakes while going through lecture and example problems. Does not give enough practice for the exams and rushes through concepts that are important. The exams are difficult and are not well explained. Expected to know material that is talked about only once.

I've had her for two classes now, truly one of my favorite professors i've had and probably will have. Would highly recommend her for any course she may teach. Always willing to help, talk, and has a true passion for her class. Take her if you have the chance.

Professor Giddings is one of my favorite professors I've had. You can tell she's really passionate about teaching, and she will be honest with you about whether or not you'll like the topic. Lectures could get a little boring and repetitive, but she does a great job explaining everything. If you can take her, I totally recommend!!

Would not recommend taking this professor. Quickly goes over lecture material, doesnt check for understanding and blames students for all of us failing the exam. Messed up a lot on practice problems and doesnt provide more correct examples.

Shes nice, but her teaching style didn't work at all. She jumped around all the time and it wasnt clear what was going to be on exams. I truly have no idea how I managed to get the grade I did. If youre very interested in/passionate about microeconomics, take her. If not, you might want to find a different professor.

Giddings was my favorite professor this semester. She really makes you think in class about problems in our economy. It goes way below surface level learning, and I found that to be really interesting. I suggest contributing to discussion in class, because she will be ESPECIALLY willing to help you with whatever you need. Strongly recommend!!

Dr. Giddings was a great professor. She got the class involved; we did many hands-on activities. Very knowledgeable about economics, we often applied what we were learning in class to real life. Had a weekly worksheet, a few other assignments in between. If you want to take the class to learn and not play on your phone, should be your top choice

I hate economics, but Lisa was super accommodating and genuinely cared about each of her students. She loves when you participate and go to her office hours. Our first exam was in person and most people did really bad on it, so she posted the exact same exam online and let us redo it for points back.

Lisa is a great professor and is very passionate about economics. There's homework every week which you grade yourself, and 3 exams in class along with the final. She also allowed exam corrections twice, and is quick to answer any questions or help in anyway. The class is difficult but if you go to class, do the homework, and study you'll be fine.

Professor Giddings was very helpful and understanding, if you put in average effort, you would pass the class. She offered corrections on exams to earn points back. There was one assignment that was about 10 questions due each week, it was graded by peer grading so do what you will with that information.

Overall, very good, Lisa was very helpful and respecting of us as students, was personable, allowed exam corrections, & had self-graded homework. Was very easy to access outside of class, and made it clear she wanted to get to know us. She allowed notecards on exams. Lectures could get long but tried to keep us engaged with relatable material.

I took ECO 320 with Lisa online. This class had no structure and was was all over the place. I think she wanted to be in the class less than I did. We only had Zooms once a week and were fifteen-ish mins. We havent had class the last 2-ish months. She always has an excuse not to hold class. I am not complaining bc easy to get an A, just busy work

Lisa is an awesome professor! Her classes are mostly lectures, but she includes fun experiments occasionally. Politics came up but she stayed unbiased, which was great. Weekly or bi-weekly readings are followed by group discussions. She genuinely enjoys getting to know her students and building connections.

I enjoyed having Lisa Giddings as a professor. I struggled in Economics, but she always made herself accessible no matter what day it was and worked around my schedule if her office hours didn't work for my schedule. She would also give a lot of insight on the tests and final exams and prepare us for what to study for.
