Accounting will consume your life for the first few months. Be prepared to WORK. If you aren't, stay away. That said, Professor Gillespie is extremely helpful and takes more of an interest in her students' welfare than most. Her tangents about life show how much she cares. Put in the work and you'll thank yourself later. Taking again for 303.

Teaching method is awful: it is all about her ego; doesn't demostrate any genuine interest on student learning process; a lot of homework is ok but her availability to explain is very limited; you go through the class don't having a clue if you are in the right direction, in the meantime, what you get is no time to get a life and a lot of stress.

I can see where she comes from when she wants us to be the best and to know the material. Her teaching style consists of us doing the homework and reading the book before class and then her walking through problems (often in a different way than taught in the book). Though, her random tangents aforementioned are hilarious and far from being P.C.
