teaches specifically what is needed for a good speech and a good structure. helpful, real-world skills. v hard speech grader with lots of criticism, but easy tests and very nice person. i am learning a lot and its a fun class. if you want an 'a', you will have to work for it!

She's a good professor; Very thorough. She definitely knows her stuff and has a ton of material to go along with it. Tests are a bit tricky if you don't know her question/answer style very well. She talks a lot... so hopefully you can handle that. Very repetitive, but she pounds the material into your head. Very entertaining!!

I absolutely love professor Glueck. She really cares about her students and is hilarious. Honestly I would definately take her for any of her classes, she always adds funny little add ins that have nothing to do with the class but just for life in general. She's just an overall happy person and makes me really want to go to class each week.

LOVED the class. I took this as a summer class so it was a long class every day, but it really wasn't bad because it was very interesting and Dr. Glueck did a very good job of presenting the information. Highly recommend the class and the professor.

Lisa Glueck is by far the best professor at Winona State University. She truly cares about her students, and that is hard to come by at college. Tests can be hard but she gives you a study guide, so make sure to do the whole thing! The study guides really help with what will be on the test. The worst exam grade is graded the lowest. She lays out everything you need for exams (there are 2) and for speeches (there are 2 individual speeches and 1 group speech) in multiple formats, so there really is no excuse for not knowing what is expected. Doesn't respond to emails, it is best to talk with her directly after class or to phone her home phone.

She gives 5 speeches (intro speech, 2 big speeches, lowstake speech, and a group speech). Also gives 2 exams and a few quizzes. Study the material and you will do fine.

She is very caring of his students and wants you to succeed. The majority of your grade will come from 2 main speeches, and 2 exams. The rest will be made up of minor speeches, quizzes, and outlines. Grades take a while to be given back, and are not posted online or elsewhere. Know your scores from main grades, and you will know your overall grade

Glueck is the best. Don't try to be unique in her class. She wants you to follow exactly the outline she wants. Do what she tells you to do and you'll do fine. Don't underestimate the exams. Study for them, they're a big part of the grade. 2 tests, 6 quizzes, 2 big speeches, 3 small speeches, 1 group speech. Great class and Glueck really cares.

Prof. Glueck is one of the sweetest and most genuine professors I've ever had. Her class was completely online for me. She's terrible when it comes to technology but she tries. A handbook is required, but it's only like $15. She also writes the handbook and changes it slightly every year, so I would not buy from a previous student.

I really enjoyed professor Glueck. She had quizzes on material somewhat regularly but always did her best to make sure you understood the concepts. Her grading criteria was very clear once you understood what each term in the rubric meant (which she taught you). Use the study guides for exams and you should do great. She is a very very kind person. The nicest professor I've had so far. But as far as class goes, it is fairly difficult. Just follow the rubrics closely and try your best. If she sees you putting in the effort, she's more likely to go easy on you. She's very passionate and wants you to succeed, you just need to be a little independent.

At first I was unsure on how I felt about Dr. Glueck, but I really came to appreciate how clever she is and how much she appreciates hard work. I am someone who gets incredibly nervous for any kind of public speaking, but she was very understanding and didn't dock me any points for my obviously anxious delivery.
