She is a really easy teacher. She expects you to attend class. One 8-10 page paper and 3 tests. Tests were easy and she gives out a study guide. Assignments are simple.

I took this class on-line, she made it very simple and enjoyable. Weekly short discussion boards, one short paper, and 3 test based off of the text book and provided websites and articles. I would highly recomend taking this class with her

I've taken 101 & 381 with her. She assigns only 1 paper and 3 multiple choice exams, and weekly discussion boards. Lectures are very interesting, you can't get bored. An easy A class.

Easy A, great for filling in a GE, although there is much more reading than you will presume by how relaxed classroom discussions are. Keep up with the reading and it's an easy A.

Took her class online... She's really nice and very helpful. Weekly discussion board posts and assignments. Easy midterm and final. One paper that's not hard at all. I'd recommend this class for anyone who's looking for an easy online class.

This was an easy class but this chick is nuts! she kept telling stories about how she beat up her ex-boyfriends, and she always put down the guys in class. You wont' learn anything, but if you want to fill a GE, take this class. Just leave your brain at the door, you won't need it.

Loved her! I thought the class would be boring, but she made everything interesting and relative to now. Randomly takes attendance, so you should show up. Sometimes you have to turn in homework to be counted as attended. If you go to class and take good notes/listen you can get an A without reading the book much.

Great teacher! she tries to make the class fun by having tons of discussion. if you missed class its all on the power point which she posts on blackboard. And she follows the book so its easy to catch up. She answers emails quickly. i recommend

Ethnic relation. She is the best example of what I expect a teacher should be. Straightforward and honest. Only class I feel I learned something from without memorization. Lecture is a breeze but there exist a group project for 5 ppl. @ least 10 pages APA style on assigned ethnic bckground. 10 homework assignments and 2 exams. I highlyrecommend.

Great professor! Extremely clear and fair. Willing to help any and all students. There's a group project with a 15 minute presentaiton and a min 8 page research paper pertaining to your chosen ethnic group. Show up to class, take notes and you'll get an A!

Interesting material, fair exams based on mostly lectures, easy syllabi to follow. Major part of grade on group project-10 page paper. Small presentation, mandatory (random) attendance. She first comes off as strict, but she's very nice. Wouldn't recommend if you prefer to work alone and have no interest in Sociology what so ever .

Professor Guerrero was amazing!! Such a sweet lady and her lectures are always interesting! We did have a group project, but if you keep on task with your group and are organized you will do fine! Exams were decent and she does take attendance! I would take her again!

Two exams. Provides a study guide for each exam. Assigns other assignments. Group presentation and group work.She is there for her students. Lecture are never boring. Soc major, minors, or not; take as many classes with her as you can.

If you're content with working your butt off to get a B, take her course. Her class is great, but the coursework not so much. If you don't work well in groups, don't take this class! Best Professor I've ever had! Her lectures ruined me for other teacher. She is clear, concise, and super fascinating. Class requires a semester long group paper so if you don't like to work with others you'll hate this. I would take any class this professor offers, she's GREAT! Have to work hard but its so worth it!

Professor Guerrero is a great individual she has amazing stories that go along with the lecture. Material is clear and easy to understand. Textbook is required to pass exams. Must do the readings. A semester long group project is the only thing I had an issue with. If you don't like working in groups steer clear from this professor.

There was a total of 3 exams and all of them were straight out of her powerpoints. The information was to the point and she made class very funny! Tends to talk about her personal experiences alot but for the most part its all related to the lecture. Overall, a great professor!!

The only downfall of this class is the group project. It works if you choose your group beforehand. If you make friends the 1st day, be a group. Doesn't matter the topic. Meet weekly or after class for a min or too. Use the google doc. If you have issues, tell Lisa. I always looked forward to class. This is my 2nd time and my group was great! :)

Lisa is an incredible professor! She's hilarious and so down to earth, the class itself is pretty easy, but she can be a tough grader. There were only two tests (midterm and final) and they were pretty straightforward especially since her study guides go over most of what's on the tests. Definitely take this class with her!

I am a junior and this is the first time in college that I was able to say I had a favorite professor. Guerrero takes attendance every day but you do not want to miss her class. She is funny, nice, helpful, gives good feedback, interesting, and shares anecdotes! Love Love Love This Professor!!!

Lisa is a tough but fair grader. If she says do 10 pages, do 13. Her exams are pretty easy, you'll find everything on the power points. She's very helpful and is great to give you feedback. I laughed out loud every single class - she's hilarious!!

Lisa is great professor! She grades you according to the effort that you put into your homework. There's 1 midterm, which she gives you a review sheet, but if you want an A, you have to review your notes, articles that she posts, and the chapter readings. There is a HUGE group project throughout the semester, and 1 final. Must attend class to pass!

Professor Guerrero is a great professor. She gives the best lectures ever. They are very clear and informative. She has weekly assignments that consist of discussion board post, short writing assignment, or short 10 question quizzes. There is a midterm, final, and ten page writing assignment. Tough grader, especially with citations and references.

This is my first year in college and Professor Guerrero is one of the best instructors I've had in my life. Lectures are EXTREMELY interesting and she's super down to earth. She takes everyone's questions seriously and makes the lectures relatable. There are two main exams, Midterm and the Final. There is no group project, but an individual project.

Lisa is an amazing professor! She is very thorough with her lectures and always tells life stories that relate to topics in class, which are very funny or interesting. We had 1 research paper, a few writing assignments (nothing too intense), and few pop quizzes, but she always hints when they will happen. I would recommend her to anyone!

I truly enjoyed Professor Guerrero's class. She was very inspirational and passionate about the subject. I learned a lot from this class. You watch interesting videos, lecture based, two big projects, two big tests. Highly recommend.

Lisa was a beauty to have as a GE teacher! Easy assignments, some readings which you take a quiz on then things like group discussion. Midterm and a final. 1 paper. & go to class! She uses iFullerton to take attendance. You get 2 free days to miss but after that, she'll take away 5 points from either your midterm or final exam grade. Easy A/B class

Lisa was very kind and an enjoyable prof. Her lectures were straightforward. Homework is due every sunday night at 11:59 pm and it's pretty reasonable so there shouldnt be a reason why skip homework. The course is easy if you read all the materials she provides, prepare for quizzes, and review over exams. There was a midterm and final.

Professor Guerrero is one of THE BEST professors I have had in my college life. She makes the topics so interesting and her lectures are very informational. Her grading is perfectly fair and she is always clear in what she expects. As long as you participate, do the readings, and put effort into this class, youll do great. Best class ever!

Professor Guerrero is SO good. She is highly engaging with her class and very understanding with deadlines. She keeps her class updated if she is unable to attend for whatever reason. Her lectures are spectacular and I have never once felt like falling asleep during them. Definitely would recommend!!

Its a fun class! She definitely cares about her students a lot. Professor Guerreros lectures are easy to understand and engaging. However, her lectures arent able to cover all the material you needed to know to take the midterm and the final. You must read the textbook. Theres one big project, a small project, a midterm, and a final.

Extremely knowledgeable on the course content and I really appreciate that. You can tell shes passionate about the subject and she goes into depth about the material. She makes you work for your grade but like I said she gives you everything you need to succeed. She was very understanding and very helpful! Her extra credit opportunities are a plus

Professor Guerrero is amazing! Easy enough course, two exams (both fairly simple) Proctorio is used but you can use notes and the textbook! Textbook is highly recommended (has plenty of exam content). The required paper does take time so start as early as possible, simple though. Some weekly discussions that are easy. Overall great course!

Overall, an easy class. A's go down to 90%. No +/- grading. There is a media project worth a big part of your grade, you won't get that grade back until AFTER finals week. Other than that, there are two big exams, and weekly assignments such as discussion boards, mini-essays, and quizzes. Lots of reading, supplemental reading, and videos.

VERY easy intro class. She has a few quizzes which are open note that are super easy. Once in a while she will assign prompts to respond to but nothing super hard. She has lectures and readings but honestly they aren't necessary in order to pass the class. 1000/10 recommend.

Love this class! Very organized & fully async. Reading the textbook is mandatory to understand content, but it's very interesting. All quizzes & exams are open book. One large media project requires you to analyze a song that helped you through a loss. Know APA format, read the rubrics, and read the supplemental articles she posts, they're so cool!

10/10 would take it again! There are weekly short responses that are at least 300 words and discussions have a 150-word response to at least one other person. Very clear rubric for the responses, follow it and you'll get at least an 8/10. All open-note quizzes and tests. book is free at library genesis.

Professor Guerrero is such a good lecturer. She's extremely nice, loves talking to all her students. She does have this class as Hybrid, so we would have Tuesdays as asynchronous and Thursdays are in person. She would have us do group work on the in person days, she's very understanding and caring, if you have any issues just email her.

Asynchronous class' weekly modules each have a lecture ppt, ~10 additional articles/videos for extra reading, and a quiz, assignment, or discussion post. There's also a midterm, project, and final. Weekly stuff and tests are fine. The project is overwhelming and very personable. Still a good, manageable class if you can get through the topics.

Great teacher! Very well structured class with clear grading criteria. 2 assign/DB/or quiz per week, 1 midterm, 1 final, 1 powerpoint/video project w/ simple write-up. Open book tests. Offers an ExCred paper last minute to boost grade. Def worth taking this class. Emails back fast, provides detailed feedback, genuinely interested in her students.

Highly recommend teacher/class. 3 chapters per week. Each chapter has either a quiz, DB, or write-up that goes to it. Midterm, final, video project w/ write-up also. If you're reading the book, you don't have to read/listen to the PPT lectures. 90-100% grade is an A. Would not recommend taking with another 5 wk at same time. Very hard together.

If you put in the effort and take notes, you'll do fine in this class.The professor is chill and passionate about Sociology, the work isn't hard and the midterm & final is open notes, the class consists of a group project, a couple short essay like papers, and a 6-page research paper & little assignments like meeting w/ advisor. 10/10 class

Teaches well & is pretty friendly. Always expects participation from class though, so expect a pop quiz if everyone is silent. Other than that she's enthusiastic & gives plenty of examples.

My favorite professor, was very nice and made lectures easy to understand.

She's absolutely hilarious and should have her own comedy show. Her lectures are very engaging, and there are barely any tests (I've had one test so far, but it's open-book). Her class is really easy, and there was also a funny moment where she brought a puppy to class! She also lets you engage with people in class, which is where I made friends!

Prof Guerrero is so, so kind and caring towards her students. I took her asynchronous SOCI 201 course, and she was always quick to give feedback, and the workload is super manageable. She assigns a few short papers and one tough project, all of which are doable. I would 100% retake this course, great professor!

Professor Guerrero was generally decent, except for the unclear grading rubrics. Sometimes she'd write the instructions in the assignment post, but then deduct points because the rubric stated something else. She's very inconsistent.
