Amazing class! You will not be dissapointed. The teacher is very friendly and knowledgable... Standard (2) multiple choice exams but she does give those who want to improve their grade an option to write and a term paper. All in all, good teacher.

AMAZING professor!! she guest lectured in my Human Sexual Behaviour class and I thought she was a little dry...but then I had her for this class and I was blown away! She really conveys the subject matter well. She is really funny, is able to laugh at herself, is warm and friendly and has a great rapport with the class.

AMAZING. Such a fun class and such an amazing teacher. Loved it. Lots of readings, but do-able and interesting!

This prof was really great..she really knows her stuff and is really always ready to help. Her lectures are fun and if you're not satisfied with your midterm grade, she'll let you do a project so that you get another chance to bring up your average.

She is an interesting prof who conveys the material effectively. You must attend each class since there are both in-class participation marks and short answer questions on exams that pertain only to lecture material. She also assigns an optional essay if you want to make up for bombing the midterm. Overall, an awesome course and prof!

SUCH an interesting class! The professor is lively, enthusiastic and really knows her material. She creates a great learning atmosphere and really encourages questions and participation. I wish she taught other psychology classes! The best professor I have had so far.

Brilliant prof teaching an awesome course. It was a pleasure to attend her lectures... I really looked forward to her class each week! In my opinion, the exams were very lecture-based... so go to class! Pay attention to class discussions, because they show up on exams. Take a course with her if you can... I would take another in a heartbeat.

Lisa is super amazing. Love her! She always cracks jokes and just makes the class a really fun atmosphere. Definitely will be taking classes with her again!

She's a great person and prof. Very prepared, understanding, and respectful. Her multiple choice questions are hard - you have to read very carefully. I took both 3102 and 3122 with her and I appreciate the challenge of her teaching style -- I actually felt like I was learning, not just memorizing! :)

She's AWESOME! Her classes are VERY enjoyable! I have three hour classes twice a week and I look forward to each lesson!

You would have to work hard to fail her class. She is funny, interesting & engaging. If you do miss a class the text has enough in it that you can read that. BUT go to class & get free marks for participation. Maybe if you stayed home drank beer & only looked at the pictures in the text you would fail. I'm taking her other class next year.

Really great prof who loves what she's doing. Dont be afraid to ask questions or to suggest discussions. Exams are pretty fair and reflect the contents of the class. Read the textbook, it's important, but also listen when she talks about socially related problems in class. These will be on exams. Overall, really good prof :)

I went out of my way to take this class with her. I've taken other classes with her & if you show up for class & do a quick glance over the readings you can get Bs with out devoting many hours so it's great to take her class if you know you have a time consuming one to compensate for. This does not mean it is easy, just that lectures do their job.

She really cares about the students and is organized. She tells us clearly what's going to be on the exams and what's not. I'm going to miss her!

I LOVED Lisa Henry's class. If you skip class you're not going to do well because it's super important to get lecture notes. The textbook alone won't get you through. That being said, it's refreshing to get a prof who knows her stuff and cares so much about the subject matter. A really lovely lady. Highly recommended and would take her class again.

She's extremely passionate about human sexuality and you can clearly tell. Her teaching is fun and lectures are really interesting. She even had a custom textbook made so we would pay less and only worry about the content she's teaching specifically! Honestly, this class is great and she's great.

Lisa Henry is one of those profs you'll remember for a long time after you graduate. She delivers the course in such a great way that encourages discussion and actually makes you listen and be interested. To succeed, honestly just show up to class, pay attention and take good notes, that alone can guarantee you an 80 !!

She really cares about her students and makes sure they succeed. The things you are graded on are pretty easy to do well on. She really encourages discussion, we watched videos and also had 2 guest lecturers. There are no written tests so no need to memorize anything. Would highly recommend this prof !

Her lectures were great. She only used one powerpoint (about 1 to 3 slides per 3 hour lecture) throughout the whole semester so showing up is really important to take notes. Everything she says can be found in the exams, but she points you in the right direction by giving some of the questions before. Overall great prof.

Have to go to class to take notes because the discussions in class will be on the exam. She makes the class so interesting! Definitely recommend the prof and the class to everyone!

Simply put, everybody should take this class :) It's so rich in learning!!!! Lisa is great and very passionate! Only things to beware: TAKE NOTES!! the conversations in class are crucial if you are seeking a good grade and YES she is very specific and sometimes her questions are tricked a bit or you must use the exact wording to get full points.

Lisa is such a good teacher i would not hesitate to take another class with her as the teacher. Shes very available for her students. She gives pointers on what will be on the exams. She also does a revision. Shes really dedicated

By far the best prof I have in psychology. Lisa is enthusiastic, witty, knowledgeable, and relatable. She makes a point of making the classroom a comfortable place for everyone. Gives big hints on exam content. Textbook use is not really necessary to do well if you go to the lectures every week.

Lisa Henry is one of the most entertaining profs that I have had. Each lecture was a new fascinating topic related to sex. The topics we discuss are actually beneficial for for relationships, love, sex, etc. She cares about her students, and it really shows. I highly recommend her class if you have the opportunity.

She is one of the best profs I've ever had! im not even a psychology student and i take her classes because she is amazing! i took interpersonal relationships and her sexuality class. You have to go to class and take really good notes, but her lectures are SUPER interesting and will actually help you out in life! HIGHLY recommend :)

Lisa is a great prof! We were given 15 points of our final mark for participation, we had two exams and a paper to write. The exams were fair but relied on notes from both the textbook and class discussions, so class notes are important. The discussions were always interesting and she gave clues for exam questions. Take the class!!!

I have taken two classes with Mrs Henry so far and I absolutely love her. She is really engaging and funny. Be aware that this class material can be quite boring, however, Lisa has a gift to make dull material very interesting. She truly cares about everyone's success. Be aware that the multiple choice questions on her exams can be very tricky.

She is the best professor at uOttawa I have had. Classes are really engaging and 7-10s go by very quickly. You need to study but she is fair.

You need to read the book, esp if you don't come from a science background. I didn't and found the midterm to be quite difficult but used my knowledge to answer questions and still got a 95. She is truly an amazing person and makes talking about your sexuality feel completely normal. She is inspiring and will make jokes, yet keeps it professional!

Amazing lecturer. Super fun class that I would recommend to anyone! The exams are actually tough though, but read the textbooks and listen in class and it is very fair.

This class and Professor Henry literally changed my life. Take this class with her if you can!! She loves when you participate, and you can tell she cares about her students. Attendance is not mandatory but she will carry out the entire 3 hour lecture off 3 slides sometimes. But all extremely interesting material!! I looked forward to it every week

AMAZING PROF! The class was so interesting and she made it really engaging. Really cares about her students and answer some anonymous questions. Her lectures last till the very end and there's a lot of notes to take down, so be prepared to go turbo on typing. 50/50 midterm and final, fairly fair if you study her discussions and the textbook.

Lisa is a one of a kind professor. She really wants her students to do well both in the course and in their lives. She's very accepting and so free spirited, it feels less like a university class and more of a liberating experience taking her class. You will look forward to sitting in her class every week.

If you show up to every single class and take great notes, you are guaranteed an A (You don't even have to read the text book). The game changer really is how well you take notes!

Dr. Henry is one of the best professors i've ever had! Not only is she a great lecturer but she cares about her students! She provides a detailed document of what to focus on for chapter readings to ensure you maximize your study time. Its a midterm and final 50% each but she gives you the option to write a paper! Would recommend her class 100%

Really loved this class! Henry is very knowledgeable and explains things clearly. She's very open and easy to approach, cares about her students. She gives a chart before exams with the important information to know which really helped! Only 1 midterm and 1 final and you really have to know your stuff but overall loved this class.

Super interesting course in general, the professor just makes it that much better. Fun course, but it was 50/50 so a little intimidating... Other than that, super fun overall!

This class was amazing. Your views on sexuality will be changed forever. She is an incredible speaker and it is the first course for me where I was never bored in any lecture. Must go to class and catch almost all of what she says. You will get the multiple choice questions WRONG if you skip class because you will miss important details.

She gives great lectures, always very interesting and she is very funny. Course is 50% midterm 50% final which is a little risky but if you go to class and take good notes you will do well. Course is interesting and she changes it up between guest lecturers and videos, tends to go by very quickly.

LISA IS AMAZING!!!!!! First time I've been in a 7-10 and actually actively engaged the entire time without falling asleep. Her tests are so fair and she basically tells you what the short answers will be for human sexual behaviour. Great class discussions... had some pretty good laughs (guy that gets aroused by turning into a blueberry lol)

Professor Henry is a great professor. She makes her classes incredibly engaging with a variety of presentations, documentaries, discussions, and guest speakers. She asks questions that encourage open dialogue and conversation, and she is considerate to respond to students questions promptly and thoughtfully. Definitely recommend taking this class.

One of the best profs I've had at uOttawa. Her classes are so engaging, half the class is usually a class discussion (which finds its way to the tests) and the other half is powerpoints. I loved this class, the content was interesting and was presented in an effective way. Definitely have to put in some work but thats pretty standard.

Such a great prof, first prof that ever made a 7-10 feel short. The subject matter is very interesting and she presents in a fun and interactive way that makes it easy to remember. Attendance is mandatory if you want a good grade as group discussions are often relevant to exams. One midterm one final with MC and short answers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

She makes a 3-hour lecture feel shorter than an hour and a half one. She teaches with such passion and is extremely open-minded! She's helped me a lot and it's very appreciated!

LOVE her! The course work was very manigable & she clearly care's about her students. Class material is very interesting; Its like the SexEd I never got in HS. She only makes you read the texbook sections you need which I appreaciated. If you watch the videos, take notes, and skim the readings, its an easy A! Also no final. 10/10 would recommend!

Prof. Henry is so sweet, kind, and caring! She modified her grading scheme to reduce workload for students during the stress of the pandemic, and only gave us one assignment or test per week as evaluations (no midterms or final!) which was SO nice. I learned so much in her class, and she made it so fun! She is an amazing prof and 10/10 recommend :)

10/10 So nice and funny. Her assignments were short & sweet, around 250 words per 15% paper. It was interesting and I learnt a lot!

Very knowledgeable and easy to listen to! Short weekly assignments were a huge grade booster, posts her lectures if you aren't able to attend and modifies the textbooks so they aren't so expensive for her students which is so helpful. Really nice all around and great if you're looking to take any psych elective. Overall couldn't ask for more!

Loved this class! It was offered partially asynchronously (about 1/3 of lectures were synchronous meetings because of guest speakers, etc.). Assignments were clear and reflected the content well. The textbook was important for readings and the like, but the pdf is free online. Professor Henry was a great lecturer. Would take another of her courses

Lisa Henry is such a great prof. The course is so interesting and she has a very laid back teaching method. You can tell she genuinely cares. We had no final exam and you could've been done the course end of November - there's 3 options for the final project on different dates. Take 3122 for sure and also take 3121 with Erin if you can!!

Professor Henry is amazing . She provides interesting lectures. She is just awesome. She clearly outlines what is expected of students. I thought PSY3122 was a great class, the content was very interesting. She delivers the material so well. The evaluations are usually a bunch of small assignments and quizzes, no final exam which was very nice!

I absolutely loved having her as a prof. Super interesting content and prof. There was no final but regular small assignments or quizzes instead, this was fantastic. 100% would recommend.

Overall entertaining professor who cares about content she is teaching. Grading on written assignments lacks a clear marking system, and are strictly marked. You'll get docked for things not made specific on the assignment. Overall dirt easy course, with interesting content.

OMG I love Lisa. She is such a passionate prof and really has great lectures. My classes were 7-10pm on Mondays and I genuinely was always engaged and entertained. I feel like I was able to have a lot of good reflections. Her exams and assignments are so reasonable and straightforward. I hope I get to take another class with her in the future :D

Lisa is amazing! If you have an opportunity to take a class with her, do it! Her exams were very very fair, no surprises. One super short paper and the final was a take home. One thing - going to her lectures are essential, most of her information is verbally presented (not on the slides).

One of the most fair professors I've had the pleasure of having. Going to class is a MUST since she will test you on the lecture's verbal content, but she makes the lectures fun and enjoyable to attend. I studied the lectures thoroughly and hardly read the text to prepare for exams. I highly recommend her!:)

Interesting, fun lectures and very fair exams (as long as you study!). She gives you hints as to what will be on the exams throughout the semester which are sooo helpful so pay attention! Prof Henry is also just a gem, she is so passionate about sex ed and is just an overall extremely interesting woman with very valuable information to share

Take this class if you want to learn a very interesting subject from a very passionate prof. However, her TA is way too harsh. She takes marks off for the dumbest things and it's worse because small assignments are worth a lot of marks (ex. 400 word assignment worth 15%). BUTIf your GPA is very important to you I wouldn't recommend this class.

Dr Henry is a gem. Her lectures are very interesting and engaging. She prepares you very well for the exams (just watch her exams breakdowns and you have all the hints you need to prepare well for the exam). Exams are fair and the assignments are not difficult. Lisa is a very caring professor and she is passionate about sexuality! She conveys her passion through her engaging lectures and in-class discussions. The only issue I have is her exams and paper are graded on very few points so it's easy to lose lots of marks! The paper had a 400-word max so make sure you make everything very concise!

Midterm and final were awesome, she gives you hints about what to study. Don't only rely on the PowerPoints, take notes on what she's saying as well, and you'll do great.

Prof.Lisa is so fun. She truly has a passion for teaching and she is hilarious. If you revise your notes for the midterms, you will do very good. She is also accessible outside class and understanding, which is great. Midterms were not hard, you just have to look at your notes and understand the concepts. Would 100% take her again!

You HAVE to go to class. There's not really any information on the slides, so if you don't go, you'll have no idea what you're supposed to know. Her lectures are engaging and fun! As long as you go to class, you'll do amazing. If you're like me and are more of an independent learner, then her teaching style may not be for you.

She's very entertaining! However, you have to attend class or find a friend who will share their notes because her slides don't contain any information for the midterm. If you miss a class or don't like taking notes, you'll basically fail

Loved Lisa Henry in Human Sexuality in 3rd year, so I took her advanced class in 4th year. She's so entertaining, kind, and truly cares about her students. No textbook in 4th year. Grading is clear and assignments are fair. Attendance is only mandatory for 3 dates with group discussions. Great topics and loved learning them.
