Never met a prof. that is so caring about her students. She really goes out of her way to make sure you are a success in her class. Unique is how I would describe her. Makes learning worth going to school. I would recommend her to anyone.

Mrs. Herman respects biology to the uttermost importance. She has cancelled appointments regarding her health for study sessions. She teaches using PP and it is very easy to comprehend. Read very carefully on her tests. If you read too fast and miss one word in the question, you will prob put the wrong answer down. She also stresses you to "Think"

Mrs. H. was very clear in her lectures. She designed excellent power points and study guides. She was available all the time for private or group study sessions. If you readstudy the material, participate, and ask questions you will have an awesome experience and learn so much.

Best professor I've ever had. Took the class during summer A, so we only had 6 weeks. She came in all the time for study sessions and helped the class out whenever we needed it. She loves biology and cares about her students. Take her husband, Doctor H, for lab. It's not an easy class but she teaches until you understand the material.

Best science professor I have ever had, she makes biology so interesting! To get a high grade on the tests you just need to study. The study guides are very helpful and outline 96.7% of the test. She has made a great impact on my life and my interest in biology :)

Prof. Hermann has been the hardest working professor I have taken. If you're dedicated to this class and you meet with her outside of class she will help you understand the material even if it kills her. Getting an A in this class is doable with dedication to it. Wonderful, wonderful woman! She loves what she teaches, and cares about her students. There is a lot of material to cover and LEARN, along with a 5-8min power point project! If you have her for lab, even better, you will see live specimens under the microscope including your own cheek cells! Her classes are fun, she has a great sense of humor!

Mrs. H was an amazing professor! She's funny, understanding, and will do anything to help her students. Your only grades for her class are 4 exams (with study guides) and a presentation (counts as an exam grade). There are also quizzes throughout, and if your quiz average is higher than a test grade, she'll replace it! Take Mrs. H for biology!!

Prof Hermann is an amazing teacher. She really wants you to pass and succeed. Her lectures are fun and helpful + she puts slides up so you can easily take notes. COMING TO CLASS IS VERY HELPFUL. A lot of what she lectures isn't always on slides but WILL BE ON TESTS. Always provides study guides for tests and gives lots of extra credit on tests.

I took Mrs. H for a mini term & although her quizzes and tests are a little tricky per the verbiage, she is AMAZING!! She LOVES biology!!! Professor Hermann loves her students. "She doesn't care, study guides are bad." These are lies! Buy the book, it makes for good review/contains some answers. 4 exams and a common final. She averages up quizzes, 10, and will drop lowest test grade and replace it if average is higher. Review and study a lot, but you CAN pass. +She has study sessions.

Professor H is awesome, funny, and caring! She doesn't give pop quizzes- just make sure to ask her at the end of class if there's a quiz next class. Professor H's quizzes are important because they can help your grade in the class. She has study guides and study sessions for her exams. She goes out of her way to help students pass! She rocks!

AMAZING! Really cares about students doing well. She holds study groups before every test, makes study guides, and posts all lectures on Canvas. Participation is huge, make sure you participate every class. Don't skip out on reading tb because there are pop quizzes but not the end of the world if your test grades are good. She's great for labs too.

She does teach from memory, but it isn't that bad. There are about eight quizzes and four exams. Personally, I wish she could have stuck to an agenda (like by following the book) than how she did it. Study guides do help, but they only touch the surface. MAKE SURE TO KEEP ALL YOUR QUIZZES AND TESTS BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T SUBMIT GRADES ONTO CANVAS.

Mrs. Hermann is the sweetest professor Ive ever had. Shes so beyond determined to make her students pass and understand the content. Her biggest fear is her students failing. Shes always available to help you, she does help sessions before tests, and theres extras credit questions on every test. She even relates everything to real life events.

Professor H really cares for her students. She will always encourage her students to come to office hours if you needs help on anything. Every week there is quizzes and you take four exams. The quizzes replaces lowest exam & extra credit questions are on exam. Her exams are worded weird. Provides study guides. Professor Hermann is amazing teacher!

I enjoyed this Professor, I was failing at first but I began going to her office hours and making flash cards to study and it saved my grade! You will have to work for the grade. The only thing I didnt like was that she never posted grades, and sometimes had trick questions. Great Professor though, she really cares about her students!

I took Professor Hermann in the spring semester and she's amazing. She's funny and can keep the class following along with her lectures. To pass her class it's important to read her powerpoints and the textbook outside of class. Always bring your textbook to class. She doesn't give a lot of homework, and if you skip a quiz you can't make it up.

Mrs. H is one of the best professors on campus. She cares for her students and only wants the best for them by offering so many things to help boost their grade. She's very detailed in her teaching by covering every important detail that will be on the test. Never be afraid to ask her a question she loves to help. Easy A if you apply yourself.

She is definitely a great professor but she will make you work for your grade, in order to pass you have to pay attention at all times and she uses her lectures on tests a lot. Her tests are difficult along with quizzes due to the mix-up in wording, but she teaches you what you need to know. If you put in the effort and focus great class.

Study every powerpoint given, read the textbook pages she assigns (all you need are a couple of pages, don't buy the textbook), participate in class and you'll be okay! Lab report and worksheets due after every lab. She doesn't input the grades in CANVAS and your grade will be mostly calculated using your exam scores. Understanding and amicable!

Professor Hermann lives and breathes biology. She breaks the subject down and lets you record the lecture if needed. The subject itself can be very hard and the textbook can be hard to understand so the lecture is a big help. She doesn't assign a lot of assignments so the test are very important. She holds study groups a couple days before the test

I took Mrs.H for 2 semesters in a row and wish I could take her with me throughout my entire college career. Professor Hermann is probably the best biology professor I've ever had. Pay attention to the lectures and take tons of notes and you'll have no problem with the study guide which is basically the test. There is a textbook but I never touched it. Perfect attendance gets you five extra points on final course grade. Loves to teach and help learn

Mrs.H is the best professor I have had so far, she cares about her students so much and will go above and beyond for them. You have to put real effort into her class and she also goes into DEPTH about the subjects, but this prepares you if you plan to take higher level biology classes.

Great professor! Graded by unit tests, but if you do poorly on a test she will use your quiz average as a replacement. The quizzes are used for that sole purpose and cannot harm your grade. Lectures are information packed so attendance is important, she uses stories in her lectures to help you connect the information, to real-life scenarios.

Mrs. H is great! She is caring and she wants you to be successful. However, this is not an easy class. It is by far one of the toughest classes I've ever taken. The questions are tricky so you really need to understand them. But one thing I recommend is to attend her study sessions or her office hours. It would help you a lot with the exam.

My class was affected by Hurricane Ian and was forced to a live online format, something Prof. Hermann has expressed her dislike for. Struggles with canvas, but wonderful professor and really cares about her students. If you do as she says you will get an A. If you are not a good quiz and test taker, AVOID her class. Bad online amazing in person!

I loved this professor, really made me love science. Her class is graded on only tests and quizzes but she does give extra credit opportunities. Test questions were not difficult or complex, everything is always multiple choice. She is a very acring person and understandable, oveall one of my favorite calsses, really felt like I learned so much.

Professor Hermann's classes helped me learn about biology and life itself. While her quizzes and exams were the only graded assignments, I enjoyed her classes. I'm not good at science but she broke things down to life examples and made it easy for me to understand. She is funny and caring, endlessly telling us to go to her for help.

Professor Hermann can be tough sometimes, her quizzes and exams are made to where you read it wrong and get it wrong. She does tricky wording to confuse people. Professor Hermann's classes can be tricky, but she cares and wants us to succeed. Her PowerPoints are a bit scattered, but engaging with the material and using resources like unstuck study made all the difference. The exams have some quirks, but putting in the work pays off.

She explained things super simply! Some things I struggled with in chem and my lab classes she explained better than those professors. She also highly encourages us to visit office hours if we need any help. Just take good notes during lectures and review the slides if you need to and you should do fine.

Professor H can be a bit all over the place in lecture, but can automatically clear anything up during office hours. She cares about her students, and urges them to come to her office hours. She taught me great study habits, ones that helped me consistently get A's on exams. I'll be taking her again next semester, she is so knowledgeable!
