She is very nice and pretty easy. Good teaching
not necessarily an easy class, but extremely helpful
She only covers about 3/5 of the material and talks to students like they were in Grade School, not in university. Wastes a lot of time with her favorite ice-cream flavors, etc. Frequently puts questions on tests that were not discussed in class.

i'd do her for a B. Tests were hard but thats the price you pay.
great person - be sure to watch your grade
Very good prof. Class isn't cake, but if you go everyday you'll do alright. Tests based on notes, not a bunch of random ideas from the book which is nice. Very nice lady aside from her teaching skills.
she is really a nice person, and she always explain clearly in class, just attend the class and you'll be ok. the tests questions a little bit tricky
not an easy class, but she's a great prof - if go to class, do the readings, etc. you'll be fine
I hated her. Her test were extremly tricky. She writes questions that sometimes don't make sense.
Explained things very well. If you go to class and pay attention, you'll do fine. She gave us extra credit on about 5 different days for just being there. Very nice.
Professor Jepsen is a great professor. She is not the easiest teacher, but who wants to not learn anything. I think its ridiculous to think that all of your classes should be easy. If you want that become a leisure services major, not a business major.
She's a really good teacher, tests are pretty easy, all over notes ( i haven't opened my book) if you go to class you'll be fine.
Very good prof.- go to class to learn, don't buy the book. read the test questions and don't confuse yourself
Very fun and is very helpful for such a dull subject.
Test book optional. Take good notes and you will never open your book, ever. Tells jokes, some are funny. She explains material well.
Enthusiastic professor. If you go to class and take good notes, you don't need the book at all. Somewhat challenging but not bad at all.
Go to class and take notes! She makes it interesting. Straightforward.
Enthusiastic teacher. 3 exams and 5 quizzes plus final. Class is good, and if you study a good grade is attainable. Helpful outside of class, and she helps prepare you for tests/quizzes.
For the most part she did a good job. She did a good job of explaining things. If you took good notes and paid attention the class wasn't too challenging
i attended everyday for the first half of the semester and was not doing so hot. only attended on test days of the second semester and did the same maybe a point of 2 better. make of it what you will.

she is kinda ****y if you talk in class. lectures are boring and very hot in the JD auditorium. Quizes are ok, Tests a little harder. Just skim the book and study your notes and you could easy pull a C.
GREATEST ECON PROF (BESIDES MCCORMICK) BE SURE TO TKAE GOOD NOTES AND DO NOT TALK IN CLASS AND U SHOULD B FINE
She is a great professor. Lectures are not the least bit boring. Know your notes inside and out and you will be fine. Probably won't need the book at all. She is very helpful if you go in and talk to her. Take advantage of reviewing all old tests prior to the final-helps a lot.
She is very good at explaining things and preparing you for tests/quizzes. I had got a C in macro and ended up with a B+ in here. She makes it easy to understand. Make sure you study your notes VERY well. I would definately recommend taking this class with her.
She is very straight forward about what she expects from you. Tests get tricky, but are ok, just study notes. I would definately recommend her, even makes class interesting at times!
Tests are extremely hard and tricky. You could study for hours and hours and think you know the matieral but she purposely words the questions on the tests sooo stupid so that you mix everything up and end up with a bad grade. She was nice and funny in class but her tests and quizzes are hard.
At first she seems like she will be a good, easy and straight forward, but after the first test you really begin to dislike her style of teaching. Says that she doesnt do trick questions on the test, but that's a lie. Out of 210 students there was only no more than 10 A's.
She tries very hard to make the class interesting which is difficult. You will be told exactly what to study and if you screw up bad you will probably still get a lot of partial credit.
Excellent class. Everyday she tries to make class exciting and most days she succeeds. The class is not difficult if you pay attention, don't even bother buying the book because you won't need it! If taking Microeconomics at UNI definitely take Jepsen! Much easier to understand than Amin!
Tests get tricky. This woman pacing non-stop and talking so fast. Her voice drives me nut
General concepts are easy, but her tests are REALLY tricky. She is really nice though, and will do anything to help you do better in the class.
First the good things, Dr. Jepsen is energetic, talks alot, moves alot and communicates effectively (clear and loud). Now the bad things...Tests are tricky and no extra credit of any kind...so no second chances and when combined with a steep grading curve...only serves to discourage anyone considering economics even as a minor.
jepsen is very clear but the tests are very hard.no homework,no extra credit, just a curve to pull up your grades.
Her test are very tricky. She is helpful but at the same time, she took off some of the easy stuff on the final just to put some of the harder stuff.
I had Dr. Jepsen for micro, intermediate micro, and law and econ - she is definitely one of the best professors I've had. Those that don't like her just don't understand economics very well, she explains it as clearly as possible. She is also extremely helpful for those willing to take the time to figure out things they don't understand.
LKJ is cream of the crop in econ. Her voice is like music. She is not easy. Always has test questions that separate the A's from the B's. Very willing to go over test and help you understand concepts. She went to Vanderbilt!! Lisa is soooo smart.Helpful website with practice questions.Loves to eat at tx roadhouse!Take her there and get brownie pts.
She knows her stuff. Enjoy having micro class with her so much. You should do well if you attend classes. Care about her students
One of the best professors around. Actually enjoy going to her class. Attendance not mandatory but if you don't show up don't expect anything better than a C. Very tough class but if you pay attention and study outside of class you will do fine. Even convinced me to change my major to Econ!
She's a very good teacher, and doesn't waste your time with stuff you don't need to know
She loves what she does and shows it. Everything you need to know she talks about and hardly ever talks about something useless. Awesome teacher!
Nice lady I wouldn't have bought the textbook and just bought the study guide if I had to do over. She gave a 1% curve at the end of the year which helped. Not an easy class if you don't care for economics.
One of my favorites at UNI! She is completely approachable, helpful, and friendly. Her lectures are clear and well organized. Test questions can be a little tricky if you don't 100% understand. I preferred Micro over Macro and found the concepts easier to understand. Jepsen is very helpful if you go to her office hours.
She is a great teacher who really makes the topics easy to relate to. Her tests are pretty much straight from the notes and she lets you know whats on them. I wouldn't say the class is easy, but you can easily get an A if you put in the effort.
Very good and helpful prof. Very energetic and gets you involved and interested in the material. Extremely willing to meet with you in her office and her office hours do help. Willing to schedule a time to meet even out of her office hours! Says that we have the harder schedules, so she works hard to find a time that suits both her and you.
Great prof! Spends a lot of time advising students, is honest about what she thinks, and is great at teaching her subject matter- one of my all time favorites! I thought Int was harder than I expected in comparison to Principles, but I still liked it better overall. I would take a class just because she teaches it, which says something about her.
Lover her! she's super helpful, nice, and really wants everyone to do well. the material is pretty tough, if you don't understand it completely. make sure to do the study guide questions and go into her office hours, which she tries to make available to everyone. she's approachable in a way that you feel like you've known her for years.
I don't enjoy any econ class but Jepsen makes the material easy to understand and she is very helpful. You can miss one test and make it up at the end of the school year. She provides study guides and rewards you for coming to class. I WOULD RECOMMEND HER IN A HEARTBEAT!
Excelent teacher. She really cares about students and explains concepts very well. She's also super nice!
She has really weird guidelines for grading. In her upper level courses she grades everything (tests, papers, etc.) against the other students by who has the "better" work. At least that's how she justifies giving her favorite students good grades.
Very easy to follow. Recommended for Micro. Buy old edition of textbook. No need for the new edition.
She's a great professor. I had her for intro to micro as well. Liked her teaching style, she relies heavily on the notes for tests. Has the ability to make fun of herself. Willing to help when you need her to.
AWESOME professor. The most caring and helpful professor I have ever had. TAKE HER!
Very nice teacher, tests were hard at least for me but she is always willing to help and answer questions
Prof Jepsen teaches very well. She covers a lot in class and almost everything is straight from the book. Tests can be challenging. Grade is only based on 4 exams and the comprehensive final. Wish there were more opportunities for points than just exams :/
Professor Jepsen is a very good professor. I would highly recommend her. She gives a lot of examples in class. Economics is just kind of a subject you either know or don't know though.
She is extremely hard to keep up with take good notes, loves to give trick questions/hard and act like they weren't. Admitted this is a weed out class and could care less about any ones GPA, strictly looking to make money for the university.
Very good teacher. Interesting and quirky. Tests are difficult and require quite a bit of review/studying. Don't need the book at all, but the study guide is essential. Do the questions at the end of the chapters, it's exactly what the tests are over. She isn't trying to trick you, just do your work!
Best prof. I've taken at college.Even though Abraham is funny,Jepsen is better at teaching.Tests are lecture based but reading the book really helps enforce topics.Creates office hrs on weekends to help before tests and is always willing to help.Fair grading.Took two courses with her and got A's in both. They are hard classes but take them with her.
Professor Jepsen is an excellent instructor. She is very clear with her lecture notes and takes time to make sure class understands material along the way. I've taken principles and intermediate micro with her and got an A in both. The class material isn't exactly easy, but go to class and you'll do well!
She is a great professor and always willing to help. You have four exams and a final, all of which are very easy. Don't buy the book, only buy the study guide!
Fantastic teacher, always willing to answer questions and help you understand. If you go to class, the class is easy. Don't use the textbook, but I use the study guide often.
I absolutely love professor jepsen, she is funny, has good clarity and explains things well in class. When on her schedule if it says "saturday" they are make up times because she will give you time off during the semester while on business trips! HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!
Jepsen is awesome. She definitely cares about her students and wants them to do well, always encourages students to stop by with questions. Does a great job explaining things. Practices quizzes before tests are reallt helpful
Lecture: writes everything on board, tries to be funny (which is funny at times) Tests: DO THE SG (questions are verbatim) and she gives quizzes (not graded) that help you study also there is a review before the test. It is a very hard class, but that has nothing to do with her teaching.
One of my favorite classes I've taken at UNI. Dr. Jepsen is a great professor. Super helpful in and out of class. Four tests, all essay. But not hard! If you do the mock essays (like test questions that she will comment on for you before the test, no grade) you will have NO problem with the tests!
Good at explaining and very helpful. She likes to ramble in class so class can seem pointless when she spends half of class talking about things that won't be on the test. Don't bother buying the book.
Go in for help! The tests are really hard but go really slow and read the questions carefully. Read the study guide summaries.
Very nice! Kind of undersells the class, says certain aspects will be easy, but turn out to be hard. Overall nice professor that is very helpful. Recommended.
Very good teacher. Rambles on alot about things that dont have any relevance, however overall she is a good teacher. The online resources she gives are life savers in this class. Great on communicating with you as well.
She is an asset to UNI! Micro is hard but if you are willing to work she is willing to help. Would take a class with her every semester if possible!!
Lisa is a great professor! She is always willing to help and she makes sure that you know exactly what is going to be on the exams. The exams are tough, but if you study you'll do well in the class. There are 4 exams plus a cumulative final. At the end of the semester, she takes the people with high D's and gives them C's. Would recommend her!
She's great! Cracks jokes during lectures and tells stories. She's always willing to help and tests aren't too hard.
Jepsen is an amazing professor. Her lectures are easy to follow and she is very clear on what will be on the test, so definitely go to class. She uses excellent examples. The practice problems and quizzes she posts online are really good study tools and very similar to tests.I would definitely buy the study guide, but the textbook isn't necessary.
Very awesome professor, always willing to help. She is also funny during lecture. There is a lot of work for studying for the class, but other than that overall good!
Lisa is the friggin best. Lectures are actually interesting and she is funny. You really need to study for the tests, but you just have to power through. The only reason you need the book is to study, but I still recommend buying it.
The best professor at this university. If you ever have the chance to take a class with her do it! She is very caring and has a great grasp on all of the content. Her class is very well organized and she is very open with communicating her expectations and what it takes to succeed in her classes.
Professor Jepsen is easily the most caring and approachable professor I've ever had. Due to the difficulty of the course, she really takes her time explaining the various concepts and is extremely helpful in answering questions. The exams will be quite challenging and if you don't plan of coming to class and studying hard, good luck.
Lisa is THE BEST! She really cares about her students and wants to know what you do and dont understand. If you ever have any questions shes very accessible outside of class and really works through things to make sure you understand the material! If you have the chance, take her!
DO NOT take her for an online class. She doesnt even teach half of the panopto videos. what she teaches doesnt always match the quizzes/tests. The only grades you get are from 5 point quizzes and 10-15 point tests You have zero room for improvement and if you miss one question, you wont be able to get an A. Plan on acing every quiz or B- AT BEST
I really struggled in her class but she was super willing to spend time out of class and help me with what I wasn't able to understand. She was an amazing teacher and if you think you might struggle I suggest her because she will be more than willing to help and spend all the time that you need and all the time that you will want. she is amazing.
Took as hybrid class. It's reallllllyyy worth going to lectures bcos she does a lot of practice problems and gives you hints on the weekly quizzes. No comprehensive final for the class (yeet) and just a super nice and understanding person in general. Committed to student success.
5 pt quizzes 1 or 2 times a week, 5 exams. I wish she would take the advice to give more time during quizzes and exams, especially when we have to interpret graphs and calculate long formulas. She causes severe anxiety for students who want to do well. Overall, the course needs revision. Super hard to get above a C in the class.
Professor Jepsen is a fantastic professor. Quizzes and exams are tough & we only have two minutes per question to answer, but we get to use our notes. Make a one-page cheat sheet and practice the Mindtap preparing for the test and you'll do well. It's also important to go to the Zoom sessions because she gives quiz and exam hints.
I really enjoyed this class. Professor Jepsen does a good job of explaining how economists view legal issues, always providing plenty of examples that lead to good discussion amongst the class. The tests are somewhat difficult. She crams a lot of questions into a 50 minute period, and grades writing more harshly than other professors I've had.
If you are debating whether to take a class with her, do it! She is so understanding and friendly to everyone. Every issue I had with needing an extension or a technology, she had to problem with working with me. At the end of the semester, she gave everyone an extra 7.5 points because she took a while to grade our discussion boards.
Professor Jepson is such an amazing person. You can tell she really cares about students. I struggled a little throughout the class, but I still loved coming to class because of her personality and that says a lot. Her lectures are not a waste of your time. I genuinely wish she taught all of my classes!!
Dr. Jepsen is a great teacher, but her lectures get very hard to follow along with sometimes, and if you miss one or two classes it is EXTREMELY difficult to get back on track. Weekly online quizzes have short time limits and the exams have barely enough time when math gets involved. Assignments don't feel relevant and textbook is hard to access.
For the online course, all lectures are recorded but don't really have any teaching, just a slide show. Lectures didn't correlate to the online quizzes/exams. The book was the only thing that helped. There is really easy homework. There isn't any feedback on the quizzes/exams either which made it harder to see what was missed.
We had a quiz every week, but they were only 5 questions (timed) & all multiple choice from class. Exams were the same, just double the time & questions. We were supposed to meet 3 times a week, but would only have class Mon and Wed. Fri was the quiz/exam and you had all day to take it. She was helpful with questions and she gave out lots of EC.
Favorite professor I've ever had. She is so sweet and so caring. She's very willing to work with students and wants to see them succeed. A couple of homework assignments, an online quiz every Friday, and 5 exams, no final, no midterm. I highly recommend this class!
