Great Class. One of my favorite classes by far. Great instructor. She made it really fun. Great personality. Helps you out on your papers. Just an amazing class. Highly recommend.

Took Professor Jones' College Success Skills class online. She is extremely helpful. Class with her is point-based. Ended up with a 100. Since she's an English teacher, I highly recommend paying close attention to grammar, headings, and overall writing.

Mrs. Jones is an AMAZING teacher. I despised English before taking her class. She will go out of her way to make sure her students understand the material. She wants every student to want to be there-- although sometimes it is not the case. The curriculum is jam-packed with a diverse realm of literature. I loved this class- never wanted to miss it.

Ms. Jones helps so much. She talked to me on the phone often because the class was online. I got help with my paper whenever I needed it, even for simple questions. I would take her again.

Professor Jones is a wonderful teacher. I took her online last semester and I am taking her again this semester. It's an online class so expect some work. After an assignment she will give you feedback and you need to make sure you don't make the same mistakes twice. As long as you do your work ON TIME, you learn a lot.

Professor Jones is on fire she is always there for you, but you must communicate that is key in receiving help. I have taken 3 of her courses and passed every one. STUDY, LISTEN AND READ THE DIRECTIONS.

You have given me a better perspective on writing and I am much more confident with writing. I am so thrilled I took this course and had you as an instructor! If I had to do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat. Thank you for all your encouragement and being so helpful through everything. :)

Professor Jones was absolutely amazing! She made sure that everyone in our class understood MLA format and grammar basics. Do NOT be late for class: she gives quizzes the first 5-10 minutes and if you are late, you receive a 0. Highly recommend this professor.

Good professor! passionate about the subject and material she teaches! Wants to see all students pass. Wants to make sure all students are prepared for the next level of college. Gives good feedback and will work with you. As long as you show up, do the work and ask questions you will pass. Funny, and brings everything to light. 2 test open book

World Cinema was a blast. Don't skip class as she gives quizzes on the movies you watch. A couple papers were involved but nothing too strenuous, she really helps you out if you need it also.

I had Professor Jones for ENC1101, and was beyond excited to have her again. I loved this class and love her! Can't wait to take her World Cinema class. She gives short quizzes based on the reading the first 5-10 minutes of class, so if you're late, you'll get a 0.

Mrs/Ms Jones was such a doll! She offers help and called me once to help me get better, and her class is very easy! You'll need the Lit textbook for the course of course, and she takes her time to grade and gives really helpful feedback!

I am taking ENG 1 in class. I love this professor, she cares about her students. It is a lot of work, but she teachers you the proper way to write for college. If you show up, participate in class, and do the work on time, the class is easy and she gives a chance for extra credit to help with your grade. The only way to fail is laziness only.

It was really the first class that I had to work hard at. But once I developed a rhythm I can see that the workload wasn't as much as I thought. Her teaching style shows passion in her work. I would recommend her to future students, as you will learn to write and research properly. It will be a great help in future classes.

Ms. Jones was AMAZING. I took her for English Comp II and she made the class so fun. She is extremely passionate about what she teaches and truly cares for her students. I would recommend her to anyone. You obviously have to do your OWN work and study to succeed. She is the best!

I really enjoyed this class, Usually English is a struggle for me, however this class was amazing!

I had Jones for Eng 2 online. Keep up with the homework and dues dates and you'll do fine. You have 2 assignments a week. About 3 papers. Time management is key! Spell check. Reach her by email. Super helpful! She is lenient with you if you prove that you're trying and working hard. Book is needed or just have friends send you pics/library!

Great teacher. Easy to talk to if you have any problems. It is Eng 2 so it is a writing class, so be prepared. Very organized and follows the syllabus. You can work ahead.

Jones is very understanding and nice. LOTS of discussions that help the essay process. Assignments are very easy and all go towards the essay in the end. Discussion boards and quizzes are the majority of assignments. She made a huge impact on my skills in essay writing and is very helpful and available most times. Not many assignments.

Mrs. Lisa is amazing and will work with you. She is understanding and will help you out if in need. She is clear and precise on exactly what she expects.

Professor Lisa Jones was great! She is readily available to answer any questions and offers useful feedback to improve your writing ability. She is fair and willing to help, if youre willing to try. The class is challenging and like any other English class, writing intensive. I would recommend this professor to any student,shes really caring!

She loves to talk about the material and readings that are done for the class, and it becomes infectious. She encourages participation and loves to hear how each student interprets a literary reading. Gives wonderful feedback and help if needed. Answers any questions and gets back to you quickly with answers.

Ms. Jones is the best instructor! She will bend over backwards to help you with your research papers, discussions, and whatever else she assigns. She is extremely passionate about english and literature, gives great lectures. Took her for english comp 1, 2, and her intro to Lit class. All three are very easy to pass as long as you do the homework.

She is by far my favorite college professor to date! She was understanding and nice to everyone in the classroom and it was one of the easier classes I have taken in college. Both English comp 1 and 2 were a breeze with her. She is an actual angel.

Fun class. The only difficult portion was the papers. Lovely elective, and should be a pretty easy A as long as you pay attention.

Prof Jones was great. She taught me more about grammar and writing then I learned my years in high school. Yes, there is a hardish research paper at the end but throughout the entire semester, she works towards making YOUR research paper better so that you get a good grade. Not too much homework and overall a fun class.

She makes this class so easy to pass. She answers emails very fast. This class will be a breeze as long as you show up to class.

Lisa is a very compassionate teacher! I had Lisa for English 1 and English 2 and have nothing but amazing things to say about her. Do you have to work for your grade? Yes, but we are not in grade school anymore people, this is college, you should be putting forth a little more effort in the things that you are doing.

Prof Jones is the best professor you could ask for. She is extremely generous and genuinely wants her students to succeed. Very encouraging & accommodating when you need her help. The coursework is about as difficult as you'd expect from an English Comp class, but if you are willing to ask for help then you shouldn't have any trouble. She's 10/10.

I have taken 3 classes w/ Prof Jones and would do it again. So generous with her time & feedback & genuinely wants you to succeed. If you care about passing her class she will work w/ you to make sure it happens. Passionate about her subject & endlessly encouraging, she is one of the reasons I've made it this far in college.(gothics class is 10/10)

I had Eng Comp 2 with Prof Jones during the rise of the Covid pandemic. Times were stressful but she was the most patient, helpful, and kind person towards me. Her feedback and assistance was always wonderful. I would take her again and again. Don't be afraid to open up to her, she is respectful and understanding. I loved taking her class!

Love Professor Jones! Taken for Comp 1 and 2 and would take her over and over again. There were a few quizzes on grammar which were pretty difficult because I am not good at grammar. One research paper, but she is there to help you through it all!

I took this class online with professor Jones and she was amazing. I only had to reach out to her once during the class, and she responded within the same hour with a clear answer to my question. Her grading criteria is very clear, and she gives very good feedback if you don't do something correctly. I would definitely take her class again.

My biggest advice would be to make sure MLA is done properly! MLA is practically key to passing this class. One essay but was simple if you payed attention to the previous course assignments!

Really awesome professor. She gave clear expectations and would help you out with anything you needed. Really easy to get a good grade as long as you try. Lots of reading and discussion posts but only 3 short papers and 2 tests that were all relatively easy if you tried.

We had weekly discussion posts, a few quizzes/tests, and a paper. You work on it through the term and involves peer review. Learn MLA early! We read interesting stories; usually, there are themes about feminism she wants you to include in posts. She offered extra credit to class if you wrote a poem for an event. Overall, great teacher and class.

Mrs. Jones is one of the best English teachers I've ever had. Her lectures are very informative and easy to understand. She was super flexible during this pandemic, with easy assignments. I have passed both English I and II with an A. Would recommend her! Do not take Mrs. Mcleod, take Mrs. Jones and you won't regret it.

The most amazing English teacher I have ever had. She will email you back within minutes trying to help, even outside of her office hours. Gives amazing feedback on assignments and it helps you improve so much throughout the course. If you have the option, I would not take this class from any other professor. She made my semester so much easier.

Lisa Jones was an amazing teacher she provided amazing feedback and had accessible office hours. She has a three day grace period and all online assigments are due on sundays which technially gives you up unitl wednesday of the next week.

Professor Jones provided exceptional service in regard to feedback and engaging course material. She was constantly available and had an effective teaching style that accommodated all students.

Prof. Jones was an amazing prof!! Essay weekly from a wide selection of material with synopsis so you can make a decision of what you want to read. Gives feedback on all essays and a very lax grader. I made a few citation mistakes and instead of heavy deduction she gave positive feedback. Earned a 99%, would take again

She is so sweet and caring. You can reach out to her for help at anytime. She makes writing seem easy. The assignments are not boring, most of them you get to write with your opinions. She even gives a 3 day grace period on assignments with full credit still.

One of my favorite teachers I met at Pasco Hernando State College. Such a joy from beginning to end, no clarification was needed for most assignments, and very helpful with giving feedback for assignments. I highly recommend taking this class if you either need it for credit hours or have trouble with English Composition.

Honestly, I was terrified of a college English class but Professor Lisa Jones made the transition really easy. She isn't hard on grading as long as you try and offers help if you get something wrong. I plan to take her class next semester as well, I highly recommend her.

This professor was wonderful! I didn't interact with her much due to this class being an online course but she gives you till the assignment closes to turn in the assignment with no penalty. One time I had an assignment that was late and had to email it to her and she was incredibly understanding and I even got a 100 on it.

She is so nice, patient, give amazing feedback that is so encouraging and She is funny and her lessons and grading are very clear. You can work ahead of schedule and that helps quite a bit for those who have plans outside of class. Mrs. Jones is very kind and is available outside of class via zoom or email. Miss Lisa Jones the best English professor I have ever meet, deciding to take ENC 2 with her. all assignments are super easy, ILM are easy, I took them all in the same day. Her quizzes have 2 attempts which is so helpful. Only 2 long assignments, one is synthesized sources which will take a lot of time to finish, but will help with final project.

Professor Jones was an amazing professor, she worked with us during the tuff times of the storms. She always made sure her students were comfortable if they had any questions. I also loved how she explained the assignments and made it easy for students to understand.

Professor Jones is the teacher you had in third grade that you would accidentally call mom. She works with every student and truly cares! I went to her about my thesis statement maybe twice for a research paper and she responded with constructive criticism and directed me clearly on how to fix my thesis. I loved this class.

She's absolutely a great Prof. I've ever had throughout my 2 years at PHSC. She's caring, detailed and very responsible. Her class didn't require too much work (quizzes, discussion, memoirs) and you'll learn how to do a research paper. Online course doesnt require a presentation.

She is great only 1 assignment per week. Also very understanding if you get sick or anything. Her feedback is AMAZING.

Took Lisa in fall 2024 (sorry for the late rating lol). Would do discussion posts and assignments but they weren't that bad. I think we did a total of 2 essays (which one of it was the research paper) in this class but when I took her over the fall we also had 2 hurricanes (caused delays and assignments cancelled) so it was an easy semester for me.

Prof. Jones is extremely fair with her grading and always reliable with communication, which was a godsend. She did grow late with grading, and this lack of direction became stressful given the already heavy workload (*tons* of analysis and writing). Still very rewarding, if not overwhelming... She does have a grace period, so make use of it!

Good teacher, some reading involved, responds quickly to you. I would take this again with her.
