I took her 4 adol psyc...she goes off on her little tangents from time to time but there all interesting...i reccommend her to anyone interested in taking this course...only downside is she really dosent get into the text but she expects you to know it. but just read it over once and youll get it.

Shes such a nice teacher. Pay attention, take notes and you'll be fine. She makes class interesting. We never used the text book, but she expected you to know things from it. Through the semester you take a couple of quizzes, a mid-term, take a final and write a final paper. It's an easy grade, i highly recommend her.

When i think of her i think of a really good Soccer-mom. Lol shes very sweet and very cute and cares a lot for children and it shows.just take class notes and ull pass the tests with flying colors . theres not really any need for buying the textbook.

i took her for adolescent psych and got an A with a good amount of studying. she has questions on info from the textbook in the quizzes and exams but does not use any text book info in class. shes really nice and helpful. easy to talk to and is very flexible. she truely cares about her students

She's a good professor, yes there's a lot of "fluff" during her class, meaning we know her whole life's story..but I got an easy A, just read the text b/c her questions are directly from it. She does give quizzes. Virtual child was a group project of ours but it was pretty easy too. She's a nice lady with a good heart, not an evil prof. at all!

This was one of the most enjoyable classes I have ever taken, with one of the best professors. Dr. Korman is one of the nicest people and she really cares about each of her students!!!!IF YOU CAN TAKE AS MANY CLASSES WITH HER!!!

Very nice professor and ethusiastic about the course. The quizzes are tricky at times because there is extra information and no study guide sheets given beforehand. The midterm and the final were fair not too hard. She gives extra credit by dropping your lowest grade and using grades from your portofolio.Would definately recommend.

Overall,She is a great lady, she will help you any way she can. The class into bad, she tell alot of storys, but your on your own for Quizs. MUST READ too do well. Its not covered in class. This woman is incredible. She has such a great spirit and is always excited about what she is teaching. If you are having a bad day, you are sure to feel better after her class. She brings a lot of positive--unplifting energy to the classroom and really cares about her students and their success. She also has a ton of interesting stories to tell! L

She is SO SWEET! She was so great and funny! A bit disoriented xD...but that's fine! Read the textbook because she gives quizzes, but she's so nice and tolerant. All she really has is the portfolio, and she basically gives the questions and pages where to find them for the midterm and final! She was so fun and bubbly, I really enjoyed her class!

SUPER nice!! Love her! She will have many stories but they actually relate to the topics. Many portfolio assignments (MUST do them to pass). Tests are fair as long as you study the chapter. Overall a great class. Amazing professor.

GREAT Professor! Took during summer session. Uses the book only for testing, but it's vital to pass. Dr. Korman used very different assignments to get us thinking. Learned a lot!!!

Seriously the best psych teacher at ncc. I took her twice and she made sure that I got the grade I was capable of receiving. She does anything she can to help her students. She's so funny and would just talk and talk about her family- so warm-hearted and kind. Take her!!!

I love her! She's warm and kind hearted. She has experience in her field. She gets emotional sometimes & tells lots of stories. A bunch of easy, short assignments. She gives quizzes with 11/12 questions but grades out of 10 so it's easy to get 100's. Gave out a detailed review for the midterm, I got a 115. Great professor. Can't praise her enough!!

Second time taking Professor Korman. She's one of the most sweetest and caring professors in NCC. She really loves Psychology and knows how to teach. She gives out portfolios based on the lessons (fun ones) and gives out five short multiple choice quizzes based on the lecture and textbook. Shes an amazing teacher!

Great teacher, wonderful personality. I loved going to her class each day and listening to her stories. She can be a little scattered but she's very thorough and will give you plenty of opportunities for extra credit. She truly wants everyone to do well! Wonderful woman!

This professor knows her stuff and appies it, through her own life experiences. I would recommend her class to all who genuinely want to understand the foundations of psychology.

Very nice lady. Participation helps. She tries to make it interesting, depends on the student if it is or isn't. Takes fairly poor notes on the board w unclear handwriting. Short quizzes. Take notes from the textbook to study. Ultimately not a hard class.

She is the nicest lady you will ever meet. her lectures are not really for the quizzes, but she lets every participate, and is very understanding. REad the chapters for the quizzes because they are no that easy, but i would recommend her class. wonderful personality and a drive to help students. has an innate motherly type of personality.

While professor K is a really easy A there are students who really want to learn about psychology. If you're one of those people DO NOT take this class because you will learn more about her life than the course. Wish her mother gets better.

Prof. Korman is such a sweatheart. Be prepared to read the textbook though. After I got the textbook, the class was so much easier. For quizes, she grades it out of 10 so you are allowed to get a few wrong. For tests, it's the same thing, just graded differently. She is always there to help and answer your questions. No HW, except to read. 10/10

Dr. Korman is one of the best psychology profs here at Nassau. The first day of class she made it clear on what to expect in the course regarding lectures, assignments, important dates, presentations, etc. She definitely looks out for her students and treats you like one of her own. She'll give you quizzes (read text) & Exam outlines to study.

Excellent professor. Her lectures really bring the course material to life. Understanding the meaning of terminology alone is a fine way to learn but applying it to experiences in life make it more personal and memorable. Grading is very reasonable. I would take her class again. Very kind, warm and cares that you do well.

She is incredible TAKE HER. She brings her lectures to life in an amazing way that very few ppl know how to do, connecting you to the material not only in an intellectual way, but with an emotional take-away too. She tells personal stories, and you can participate and tell your own. Do the reading, 1 quiz is dropped, tests are straight forward.

Dr. Korman is a very good teacher, her classes are interesting and she makes sure the main concepts are understood. Her examples are great. You will have to read the book, as her classes complement the topics,so that you really understand and learn. If you are interested in learning and don't want to waste time in a boring class, take her class.

Shes a great professor. She gives you a lot of opportunities to do well like quizzes, tests, and extra credit but she makes you work for it. You have to STUDY for her quizzes and tests cause her questions are very specific to her lectures and textbook chapter. Show up and do your work and she will reward you for your effort.

She may seem tough, but she's a great professor. Gives quizzes after every chapter. drops the lowest one. There's a final and midterm. She sends a review sheet via email, use that it's an exact copy of exam!! She likes participation. Gives one research paper that is 25% of your grade. she teaches till the last minute and doesn't use power points.

She's very passionate about what she teaches, that's for certain. The homework for this class is all online. It takes a while to do, but it's rather simple when it comes down to it. Her lectures are also really entertaining. The only real negative thing I have to say is that she can be a bit clumsy sometimes. Other than that, an overall great time.

Professor Korman was super sweet. She's really flexible and gives you access to all the work that is assigned through the whole semester on blackboard so you can basically do it self-paced if you like to get ahead. Instead of a textbook we use a program where the chapters are on in and we read and answer questions. Only as Midterm & Final as tests

Free textbook which was awesome. Homework's every week and you can't do it late so stay on top of it. Easy midterm and final. Really great lectures and used her personal experiences to explain complex topics. It really helped me understand. She's great. No extra credit or late work

Professor Korman is a very sweet and caring lady. A lot of the work is on brightspace and if you keep up with it this class is an easy A. I highly recommend taking her.
