pretty boring lectures because of quantity of material....but other than that, good class

I have had her for 3 classes and plan on taking other with her. She is very understanding and very easy. Her lectures are facinating and she reviews for the tests very well. She is very generous and helpful. Plush she is canadian!!

This teacher was fantastic. She is extremely helpful and easy going. Made a hard class much easier. Friendly. Provides easy to follow notes and tries to help you to succeed in class. I do not like math and was dreading the class, but with Prof. Mikitch the class was great and so is her teaching!

She reviews all the questions before an exam and is very laid back, great to learn with, she has tons of field experience which makes her classes much more interesting. I would recomend her to everyone. She is a fantastic person and a wonderful professor.

When it comes to psychology, Mikitch is the professor to take, she gives great notes, great examples, great stories, oversall an excellent experience. If you take notes, follow her revievv guide, and you will get an easy A in her course. Also she gives a lot of extra credit, yopu cant go wrong with her class, a very, very easy A.

Great professor. All exams are directly from the lecture. does not expect you to know the book from cover to cover. Very fair and easy grade.

My first year of college I had taken Psych..but the teacher I had was a total idiot..soo i had to repeat Psych and I ended up with Ms. M and she is by far the best teacher I have had in my 3 years of college... Awesome job Ms. M..I would so recommend her to any student in need of a psych class!

She is one of my favorite college professors. She teaches almost exclusively through lecture. I didn't use the book at all, her tests were multiple choice, and there weren't any surprise questions that she didn't go over on the test. She's very knowledgeable, interesting, and gives great examples to keep the class interesting. Highly recommended

Ms is such an awesome teacher. your notes are your test, and she gives the notes to you word for word she is an exciting teacher and keeps the class motivated. if you have to take psych take her class she is awesome

This is one of my favorite teachers at MCC. She is so nice and always has great stories that tie in with what we are learning in the class. You won't need your book and you are tested on everything from the notes so take good notes! Her tests are fairly easy and are straight from the notes. Take her!!!

I thought psych would be a lot of memorization and I wouldn't understand how to use it in life. I learned alot about what psychology really is. She had a way of making the class interesting and I learned alot about myself and the brain, even Freud. Tks - I'll always be able to use this.

Miss is a wonderful teacher. I was terrified to take psychological statistics but she has made the class not only interesting but do-able. She is Canadian so her slight accent is awesome! EH She really takes her time in making sure everyone gets the notes written correctly because the class is taught by her, its not self taught!

I loved her class she gave great stories and gave good notes, matter of fact your notes are your test everything that you went over in your notes are on your test word from word.she gives open book quizes some times and even extra credit her class is easy and fun and you will enjoy going everyday

Pay attention, take notes, do homework, get an A. It is that easy. One of the finest professors I've had at Macomb. Even for a class I didn't really want to take I only missed one class because she made the information clear enough where I didn't dread class. If you see that 'Miss' is teaching a class you need, TAKE IT!

I was so nervous to take a statistics class. However, from day one Miss made me feel very comfortable . She made every lesson very clear, and i never missed any class because I actually started loving the material. She's also very funny and cracks jokes, and makes sure that everyone if comfortable with the material. A+ teacher. Love you Miss!

I'm taking her for psych statistics and she is the best teacher. I wish I could have her for all my classes. I personally didn't need the book because she explains everything so nicely but she gives assignments from the book (doesn't collect those). I had her also for intro to psych and I'm glad to of had her a second time. Amazing :D

Miz is the best teacher I have had so far at Macomb. She makes the class very fun and interesting. Has great stories to relate to all the topics and makes learning easy. She tells you everything that is on the test and quizzes. Hardly use the book, but if you do need to know something she gives you the exact pages. Overall AMAZING professor.

very nice and very very helpful. she did not review for most of the tests until the final, which was not a whole review of the course so it was very easy. not a big work load, she is very funny, and puts the subject in everyday situations. i HIGHLY recommend her.

If you are not a medical student the class is much harder. She is a nice professor, but very boring.

LifeSpan was an interesting & fun class. Ms. is an excellent professor who explains things with stories. Gives reading list to follow with 4 exams. Do the required reading, take notes and study. I heard many great things about this professor, although I never had her before my friend has and based on what he said she is THE BEST. I've been waiting for semesters to take her but it seems that there is always a waitlist and before you know it is already too late. It saddens me to know MCC isn't willing to give this professor a bigger class.

She really is awesome. Went out of my way to schedule other classes around her. Quizzes/tests almost entirely off lecture notes, drops 2 quizzes and 2 are take home. Gives you a question by question breakdown of what's on the test-literally. It would be difficult NOT to get an A in the class!!

Ms. deserves the highest possible rating; never before have I had a teacher that cared so much about her students.Her developmental class was so interesting I barely noticed that it was 3 hours long, and at 8am. I loved going to her class and am trying to take her again next semester.

I took her for introductory psychology and got an A easily. She's one of the greatest teachers I've ever had in my life. She's nice, sweet, always happy, she cares for her students, enthusiastic about teaching, and she is fair. Take her if you want an A. It's not a blow off course by any means. She somehow makes you get that A and you'll be proud.

Lisa is by far the BEST psych teacher at Macomb. I had her for intro and loved her so much I took her fo Lifespan Development. She gives 6 quizzes, but drops the 2 lowest. There's 4 exams, and as long as you're there for lectures you'll do fine. She basically spells out what will be on each exam. Very funny, very relatable, and VERY a nice.

Miss M is a amazing professor. You don't need to like math or stats to take this class. She is super helpful and it's almost impossible to fail her class. The whole semester the work is long but it's easy. You can have a note card for tests too which is a must. Taking her again for sure.

This is my second class with Prof Mikitch. She is amazing. As long as you show up to class, it is impossible to fail. She does require you to read out of the book, but I never even bought the book and I received an A. Her quizzesexams are easy, and she helps you get a good grade every way she can. You just have to actually do the work.

Mrs. Mikitch is the biggest sweetheart at mcc. She cares for her students and I've never seen her in a bad mood. The class is straightforward and I really walked away from the class knowing a lot more about psychology. Notes and exams correspond directly and she's super clear about exams, tells us how many questions there are for each topic, etc.

Out of all of my professors that I have had so far in college, she is probably my favorite and nicest one! She has such passion for what she does and you can definitely see it. Lisa Mikitch is a wonderful teacher, and an even better person. Her lectures were interesting, and often came with a touching anecdote about a personal life event or someone that she has cared for in her career. I would recommend anyone that needs to take any class Prof. Mikitch teaches to take that class with her. She's simply wonderful.

She is wonderful! I had her for psyc stats. Do not be fooled by the name, this is a math class. She is not a math professor, made that clear the first day of class. But did the best with what we had. The first half of class seemed like 5th grade math review, but then it got tough. She gives handouts, so you don't really need a book, but it helps.

Shes amazing! i had her for intro to psych and she really was engaging with her stories and incorporating them into what we're learning. She's very understanding and it never bothers her to ask about something if you get a little confused, shes absolutely lovely. I legit almost cried leaving her class.

Ms. M is great professor. She also works at a hospital as a trauma physical therapist and is always sharing personal stories that relate to what we are learning each class. She was always upbeat, friendly, understanding, and passionate about her job. Made her 3 hour lectures feel like a half hour!

Mikitch is one of the best professors at MCC, would highly recommend taking her class. You won't use the book aside from a few assigned readings, and she doesn't give out much homework. She lectures the majority of the class, and gives handouts on the material as well. If you take good notes, stay off your phone, and study you will pass her class.

Misses is a sweetheart. You will enjoy her down to earth personality. She is straight forward. She will not confuse you with extra information. All test are scantron, multi choice. Attendance is not required,but lectures should be a must, if you want to pass. She also allows you a VoiceRecorder for note taking. If you need a psyc class pick her.

Mikitch is a sweet woman and my only issue was she got off topic A LOT and kept us a lot longer than we needed to be there because of her story telling. Her tests weren't too hard and she gave 3-5 extra credit questions on easy exam. No projects or essays. Quizzes were 20 questions and exams 70-100 questions. I just didn't like her lectures.

I wish all my professors were like her! Her lectures were very entertaining and helpful. Most of the questions on quizzes and tests are from her lectures, however there are always a couple of questions from the readings. Questions are straight forward, and studying is a must!!!

I really love Miss M. Her class was so enjoyable to be in! I would never get bored listening to her lectures and she taught so well, it felt like i didn't have to study too hard. I really did love all of her stories. They were very inspiring. She was going through a hard time during the semester I took her, but still did an amazing job teaching

I absolutey LOVE Mrs. Mikitch. She really does care about her students and is very approachable and flexible. She gives real life examples for almost anything she teaches and her stories are hilarious. Everything from quizzes and tests are straightforward. We only used our text book for a couple questions on the test so I wouldn't buy it.

The semester is almost over and I could honestly say, I'm so glad I decided to take this class!! She makes 4 hour lectures go by so fast with her amazing story telling that ties in with what we're learning that class period. She is so sweet and truly cares about her students. HIGHLY recommend her!

Hands down the most wonderful professor out there! She has a great, down to earth personality and her class was very straight forward. She told us many stories during lectures. Mrs. (as she likes to be called) is a great professor. She's very kind and easy to understand. She walks the whole class through the notes and makes sure to explain them thoroughly. The tests are not cumulative, so there's no midterm or final. Overall you just need to study the notes and pay attention in class and you'll be fine.

Miss is a fantastic professor! Attendance is mandatory but if you miss a class talk to her and she will help you out. A lot of her exam questions are from the reading so the book is a must. She doesn't give out homework. Take good notes and study hard for the exams and you'll be fine!

Prof. Mikitch reviewed for each quiz and test the class period prior to the quiz or exam, it was helpful. She also gives you a reading list so you know areas to focus on in the readings for the test. Gives real life scenarios during lecture to help visualize the lecture. She pulls most of test information from the lectures, don't recommend skipping

Professor Mikitch is a great person and even better professor, she's an extremely intelligent woman who has a wide knowledge of nearly everything! Ranging from pop culture to the most peculiar psychology factoid to experiences in nursing, you will not be bored in this class. My only advice: study! She wants you to pass but you need to work for it!

I absolutely adored this professor. Her stories were amazing. The class felt like a big family and we all looked out for each other. I recommend everyone to take her for PSYCH anything she is amazing and doesn't try to trick you at all.

Awesome professor! 4 tests make up 80% of your grade and the other 20% is 2 take home assignments that are word for word out of the book. She reviews for the test and is very clear with whats on it. She also has 5 bonus questions at the end of each test that can go toward your grade. You can pass easily if you pay attention.

Professor Mikitch is very passionate about what she teaches. She used to be a physical therapist, so she always has real-life stories to connect her lectures to. The last 5 questions on the exams are extra credit. I really enjoyed coming to class. She taught using a variety of teaching styles such as lecture, videos, and outlines

Truly the sweetest lady ever! Very genuine person with lots of knowledge of the subject matter. Her lectures are very educational and entertaining. Connects her life experiences to the subject matters and uses great examples. This is NOT a blow off class by any means, but if you apply yourself and pay attention its hard to fail.

I was in one of her 4 hour lecture classes once a week and was dreading it. However, she is an amazing professor. She is great at giving lectures and helps you understand all of the material. You will need to take lots of notes and study hard because the tests and quizzes are mostly based on lectures. As long as you pay attention its an easy A.

Ms is a wonderful teacher who very clearly explains the material, gives great examples, and prepares you for the exams. I wish she taught every subject.

Ms is truly amazing. I took this class in the summer for six weeks and I enjoyed every minute of it. She gives great examples for every topic and will tell you exactly whats on exams.

Ms was by FAR one of the best professors I've had. I took her in the spring/summer 2019 semester (lifespan development). Her lectures were amazing as she related everything to real life with her stories. You're graded on 3 exams and 4 homework assignments. I wish I could take her for every subject, she's the best.

I love professor M. Her exams come from the notes. Her assignments are easy and extra credit is given randomly so come to class! I took for intro to psych and lifespan. Both times she was amazing. She tells great stories that tie in with the material. She can be long winded LOL but that's ok she gets to the point eventually;-)

There isn't enough room here to say all of the positive things possible about Dr Mikitch. She is kind and compassionate, full of knowledge and experience. She does use the entire class period but her stories are relevant and she adds a lot of insight. I wish there were more professors like her! She is passionate about the material and the students.

Professor M. Was amazing I had the pleasure of having her class in person and online and it was amazing both times you do need to take lots of notes but the notes are exactly like the tests and quizzes.

SHE IS THE BEST! I took her online class and I had an amazing time with her as a student. Her lectures and notes are accessible for you. There are discussion boards and assignments that you have to do, but they're overall easy! Tests and quizzes are timed, but she gives you hints on what to study! Please, take her. She truly is an absolute gem!

Prof. Mikitch is the best Psychology professor I have ever had. She provides her own lecture notes for her classes and gives weekly quizzes that have questions word-for-word from the notes. The tests are the same way. The assignments she gives make you read through the book to find the answers and it can be hard to find them, but it isn't too bad.

One of the BEST teachers I have ever at at Macomb. I have taken Psych 2450 and Pscyh 2800 with her and she's the best. Her in-person lectures are so amazing, she has awesome stories to tell that go along with her lectures. She makes the class easy and I have enjoyed both of her classes VERY much. HIGHLY recommend taking her classes! Love her!

The class overall was fine. I enjoyed the way the class was organized by learning about birth and infants first and moving through teens and adolescents to adults and ending with the elderly and death. Each week has a module including lecture notes and some have videos. There is a textbook that you need to read to study and pass all the tests.

Miss is the best professor I've ever had! I was worried about 4 hour long classes but her lectures went by quickly. Her experience working as a trauma physical therapist/psychologist provides her with so many clinical and personal experiences to talk about. I changed majors because of her. Be ready to study.

Professor Mikitch is a really good one. She cares for her students and really wants them to learn the material. The class has a lot of lectures and 14 T/F quizzes, but they're not too bad. However, you can't go back to a previous question once you've selected the next button. Pretty solid class and not one you should pass on.

Ms. Mikitch is an amazing professor. She made everything super understandable, and explained everything in a fun way through her story telling. Note taking was simple and never a hassle. She would do a small quiz for each chapter before an exam for each unit, which is the best way to learn. Exam grade averages were always high. Definitely recommend

I have not had a better professor! All of her lectures were clear and precise (stories added). I throughly enjoyed myself in the class. The tests contained a lot of material; just pay attention in class and study a bit at home, and you're good! There are a few quizzes and you BARELY have homework, only two assignments throughout the whole semester.

I've been at MCC for 3 years, Ms. Mikitch is by far my favorite professor I've had. I never felt bored in any of her lectures. She makes them really interesting. If you have a hard time paying attention during lecture, I would choose her because she knows how to keep your attention. Barley any assignments, and 4 tests throughout the whole semester.

The best professor at MCC. Only 2 textbook assignments through the whole semester. Mostly notes and quizzes. Her lectures come with real life stories, actually makes it so much easier and interesting. She literally tells you what exactly to study on the quizzes and tests, some bonus quizzes. No tricks at all. She's so understanding and caring.

Professor M has 0 confusion in her class. She is extremely straightforward about what you need to know and what you will be tested on. Her grading criteria is straightforward with little subjectivity which I appreciated. She is caring, kind and has experience in diverse settings; leading to interesting examples in lecture. Would highly recommend.

Amazing professor. Had an infinite number of stories pertaining to almost everything involving psychology. Had 5 quizzes, 4 tests, and 2 assignments. Went over what to expect on all of them.

Abnormal Psych: Detailed filled notes that were full of things directly used for tests. The notes were also short and to the point and not filled with lots of unnecessary information that wasn't absolutely needed to know. Such a great class. Very good class to take if you are introverted and don't like working in groups.

Prof M is a great professor. Always giving great examples to help us remember the topic. She makes sure we don't leave the classroom without knowing what is going to be on the quiz and test. There were 5 quizzes, 4 tests, and 2 assignments each 40 questions. There was NO short answer questions. A

This professor is excellent. She can explain the lectures in a way that students can understand. She is also very helpful. 2 homework assignments are easy and can be done in 20 minuets max. There are 5 quizzes and she makes sure we know everything that will be on the quiz. The tests are multiple choice and she prepares us well for it.

Miss is fantastic. The most knowledgeable professor I have ever had. If this wasn't just a Gen Ed for me I would take her classes multiple times over again. It's a lot of memorization, but she is very clear on what you must study. If you plan on missing class make sure you make a friend, as all her notes and lectures are written on the whiteboard.

Professor M is a delight - her lectures are crystal clear, and she genuinely wants her students to succeed. With the help of tools like unstuck study ai, quizzes and exams are very manageable.

Fair grader, pleasant, quick to respond. Quizzes aren't bad but tests can be a bit much. Lectures embedded in Power Point presentations are a pain (export them to MP4 if you can). You will learn a lot but be prepared to get a lot of extra documents each week. Slightly confusing organization on Canvas. Overall, good prof who wants you to learn!

If you try, you will get an A, I took Lifespan online and there were 2 quizzes every week an exam every 2 weeks, and one discussion board/ week. Seems like a lot of work but if you pay attention to notes and keep them with you when taking quizzes and exams you will pass with no problem. A lot of the information is basic info too. best prof ever

On the first day of class she said “even if math is not easy for you, I hope I can make this class easy and that you enjoy it.” She made it a breeze and I got my first A in a math class ever. As full time OU student I would recommend everyone take this BEFORE Research Design as it overlaps!

Professor Mikitch was the best. Macomb's professors have not disappointed me. Her lectures + stories made me excited to come to class and learn about Psychology. I took Professor M for Abnormal, LifeSpan, and Adolescence Psychology. Her expectations are made clear from the beginning, offers EC, even sends reminders before due dates, and if you put in the work which is manageable, you'll have no issues getting an A in this class. I recommend her 10/10.

Professor M was amazing. The class is graded by 5 quizes (20pts)(all T/F and matching), 4 tests (80pts) (all multiple choice) and 2 "assignments" (For our class they were a take-home 40 question mutiple choice test-style document.) She also provided opportunities to improve your grade and bonus points on tests. Would take again! Loved this class!

One of the BEST professor I've ever had!!!! She is so supportive and so kind! I have never understood math and have always been a C student in it but with her and the way she teaches I understand everything and loved every second of it! I came from Oakland just to take her for my math credit and I have no regrets!!!

No essays, all exams were multiple choice, weekly easy quizzes based on what was taught the week before. Professors Mikitch is so kind and helpful, she had a lot of fun stories which linked to the content, all her exams and quizzes were ridiculously easy, no insane questions I would take her 10x. Super easy A.
