Very good teacher. She helps with your papers a lot. Make sure you show up for the rough draft days because she does deduct points off of your paper if you don't. She's easy to work with and as an incoming Freshman, she goes through what to do for each paper before you turn them in. I HIGHLY recommend her.

Mrs. Moody is a very sweet lady, she is very helpful, this class is easy, her grading for essays are legit, if you followed all the right directions you should receive a good grade, her essay topics aren't interesting though but very sweet lady but boring, not that interesting but if you attend class that will help you out a lot. TAKE HER !

Dr. Moody is great. I am taking her for English 101 currently and plan on taking her for 202. She is extremely helpful and willing to work with her students. If you have the chance to take her, then do it!

I took Mrs. Moody for English 101 & now English 102. I made A's on all my essays & I didn't even put full effort. She's very easy to please & extremely helpful! She will give her opinions and help you out as much as possible. She doesn't trick you on quizes and shes very straight forward. TAKE HER, you won't regret it!!!!!!!!

If you are looking for an easy A take her. She grades essays easily. But if you need to pass proficiency do not take her because I had a B in the class and B's on the papers i wrote and even after revising the papers that she told me to revise I did not pass proficiency.

She is so easy! Made all A's on paper. Go to her for each paper and go to the Writing Center. You'll get at least a B in the class without trying.. TAKE HER!!

Such an easy teacher! If you show up to class and actually do your work you should be fine. She grades her papers so easily! I made A's on all of them! and if you go to her or the writing center she's more likely to give you an even better grade!

She is the best on earth could offer. SO well-organized, easy going, easy grading. Read the readings, do homework, do good work, make a big fat A.I love her. She makes Ame. Lit easy n interesting. Altho I hate lit, but I make a fat A on her class. A+++++++ professor.

She is an awesome lady! Laughs at herself a lot but its funny. 4 essays that she walks you through. Takes attendance but it doesn't matter too much. Just do the quizzes and participation for easy A's! Definitely will take her again!

She is probably the nicest lady to ever teach English. All you have to do is go to her office and you are pretty much guaranteed an A on all of the papers. You only have to write 4 papers and she grades them very easily.

She's such a nice lady, and a very helpful teacher. However, some of her assignments are tedious and are just overwhelming when taking 6 other classes. Other then that, she was very understanding and an overall great teacher. I would recommend her to my friends.

I would recommend Ms. Moody to everyone! She's sweet and can be a bit quirky at times. There are a four essays throughout the semester, and while writing them is obviously not a blast, the directions are clear on what is expected of you and she grades VERY fairly. Quizzes and participation grades are easy A's as long as you do them!

She is very nice and is always willing to help you on papers or anything else. She goes over quizzes before you turn them in, so its an easy 100%. her papers are really not bad and she gives bonus opportunities.

Dr. Moody is a great Eng teacher. Probably the BEST on campus. If you go to her for help writing papers she will help you tremendously and will grade your paper easier since she knows you are trying and going to her for help. Gives some bonus. Got A's on ALL my papers and a 100% on my research paper. Wish I would have gotten her for Eng 102.

Dr. Moody is by far my favorite teacher! I had her for English 101 and am taking her again for English 102. She is so sweet and is willing to help any of her students. Many of the days she will let you leave early if you have no questions and completed and in class assignments we had that day. She will help and take time for anyone who needs it.

I took Dr. Moody for English 102. She was a very nice lady, but she graded papers extremely tough. I took English 101, and my professor for that class barely marked off on my papers, while Dr. Moody marked off for everything. I eventually had to start going to her office after I had an 88 in her class to make sure I'd get an A, and it worked.(91.8)

She was great! very easy class for any major. Had 4 test and quizzes between them but gave study guides for each test and they were the exact questions that were on the test! lets you have notes written down for each test so the test are open booK! defnitely taKe her!

I love this class and I am going to try and get her for Eng102. The only things she actually grades are the papers. You will have participation assignments and take home quizzes but she gives the answers to all of them before you turn them in. Except for the 2 quizzes on the short stories you have to read. Super easy and I would recommend 100%.

love her so much, i took 101, 102, and 232 with her and never regret about it. She is so caring, i am an international student and struggle with writing but I still got out of those 3 English class with all A. Be serious in doing all the assignments and follow exactly what she wants and easy A is right there.

Dr. Moody has been my favorite English teacher so far! She loves what she teaches and is so enthusiastic about it! She gives you the tests before hand and they are all open book. This is a very easy class as long as you attend, do the readings, and pay attention.

Dr. Moody is a great teacher. You have to do the quizzes and participation assignments because they actually do help your grade. There are 4 class essays, plus a midterm, the final and portfolio. She breaks the essays down how she wants them exactly and is willing to go out of her way to help if a student asks. I would recommend her to anyone!

She is very nice and willing to help if you need it. She is very clear in what she is looking for in your papers. There are a few quizzes, but they are easy if you pay attention in class. You get participation points if you attend peer review. I would definitely take her again. I took her for 101 and 102 so yes this post is very accurate.

Dr. Moody is awesome!! Would take again in a heartbeat. She gives you a ton of supplementary materials (like sample essays, ex. of perfect paragraph, etc.) which makes the essays so much easier. Really easy grader, i've pretty much written my essays last minute and gotten A's on all of them. Class is like high school, lots of group work, but easy.

Lisa Moody is very inspirational. Her class is too easy. You will have to do a lot of reading and the quizzes are closed book but the tests are opened. She will break every information down. The best part is that you will do one project and three small papers not too long. Take her and you will get your grade!!

Lisa Moody is very inspirational. I love her class! It was easy and fun. All you're doing is reading the short stories and have three questions on the quizzes (simple stuff). She is willing to help you outside of the classroom if you have any questions about the short stories. I would recommend her! What a blessing professor!

Easy A if you complete hw assignments! NOT hard at all, grades them by if you did them or not. Quizzes are 2-3 questions all you have to do is read to get an A. Gives extra credit at random (i.e. if most of the class doesn't show up, someone leaves after taking a quiz...). Very passionate about her classes!

I took her class a few years ago but She's by far the best teacher like ever. Is down to help you at all times. Makes what she wants very clear. Can make you feel dumb in class if you say something stupid but that's it.

Very passionate about what she does! Make sure you do the readings! Always do participation work! Tests are all open ended questions/essay based. (Blue Book Needed). Quizzes 3 basic questions; if you happened to fall behind on readings and there's a quiz, writing your name gets you an automatic 40pts. Office hours? highly recommend!

Dr. Moody took over my section of 210H and made it into a British Literature course. She was very passionate about the subject, and really helped students with everything she could.

Dr. Moody is very clear with what she expects from you and basically lays it all out for you if you. She's really organized, and couldn't make the class any easier. If you want to learn a lot and take a class where an A is actually feasible, she's your best bet.

Dr. Moody is the best teacher I had in SELU. She makes sure everyone understands the reading material and she makes it interesting and fun as well! Her demands are very clear and written in detail on Moodle. If you attend her classes, follow her instructions and do all the homework you will get an A. She is also very caring towards her students.

The class is the Victorian Era, keep up w/ reading. She's super passionate about the subject matter. You are graded mainly on your writing skills through quizzes but they are not bad!

I had her the semster of the pandemic, but she made my life so much easier by not loading us down with work to do. Very simple assignments. Very sweet. I recommend her.

She has been one of the most accessible professors I've had yet and I have taken her for another course too. Put effort into your paper, ask for help, and you'll be set. She loves her profession so engage and talk with her!!

Dr. Moody was by far one of the best professors I have ever had. I've taken her three times in a row for all of my English courses, she grades pretty easy and there's one essay and three tests. Overall, she's a really sweet lady and really cares about her students! Try not to skip lectures, it kind of hurts her feelings.

This class was fairly easy. Ms. Moody can be a tough grader on essays, but she just wants your writing to get better. She can be a bit of a talker, but bare with her lol. She's very sweet. She sends emails to remind you to do an assignment if you didn't. There are 3 essays and several quizzes. Helps alot in class so make sure you show up.

Professor Lisa Moody is an amazing instructor. She gives wonderful insight into everything we read. Major of the class time is class discussion or group work and this is very helpful in getting different perspectives on the reading.

I took her for honors and I absolutely loved her. The subject didn't interest me that much, so I just read summaries and passed all my quizzes/tests. She does not grade very hard on essays. It's very easy to contact her through email, and she will help you pass the class.

Dr. Moody is a great professor! You can tell she really enjoyed what she does. The coursework wasn't too bad. Participations due every Monday, 3 tests, some quizzes, 1 essay, and a creative project at the end of the semester that you present to the class. The class is lots of group work and group discussions. She also does some movie bonus days!

Dr. Moody was neat! All of her assignments were online, so make sure to jot deadlines down. Read 3 books and her lectures are useful for writings (3 essays, a test per book, 2 quizs per book, 10 participation grades). She is very nice and gives feedback every major assignment. Her lecture pertains to curriculum strongly - which is set in stone.

Dr. Moody is a great professor. The syllabus is straight forward and there aren't hidden surprises or quizzes. You have quizzes, a test, and an essay on each paper you read. She provides feedback on papers so you can do better on the next and you get extra points if you go to the learning center for peer review. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Moody is one of the best professors for American Literature. She makes this class very easy and assures you that it shouldnt be hard for students to pass. There is lots of readings, 3 tests, 1 essay, 1 PowerPoint project (easy), and a final exam. There is also participations and quizzes. She also offers bonus movie rescues days. Easy A or B!

Dr. Moody was super nice. All of her tests were essays that you had to write online with direct quotes from the works we read. She gave us plenty of quotes in class for each reading to go off of though, so you really just had to put it all together for the test. Make sure you read the assigned readings and go to class if you want a good grade.

One of the BEST professors I've had. She sets up useful in class so work so by the time an essay is due, almost everything is already written for it. Gives good feedback, a clear schedule, and is always willing to help. There are normally 1, maybe 2 assignments due a week with 3 essays plus midterm and the final. Will be taking her again.

She was a tough grader but if you go to her office before the essay was due she would tell you what you needed to fix. Their was at least 1 assignment due at the end of the week that helped build up to making your essay which forces you not to procrastinate and really helps when the actual essay is due. Great professor!

Tbh her class was not hard. You just have to put in the work and all. Please make sure to come to class as much as you can. She gives writing center bonus points which has saved my essay a few times. Just bear in mind that there's a lot of work to do and participation matters too.

Dr. Moody is the easiest grader I've ever had as an english teacher. She walks you through every essay, making them super easy to write. She doesn't give feedback over email which is sometimes frustrating if you don't have time to go to her office hours. Going to her class sometimes feels pointless though, as most things could just be done at home.

Dr. Moody is an average professor. She claims attendance isn't mandatory but deducts participation points for absences. The class involves group essay work, with essays assigned back-to-back. She offers extra credit for writing center visits. Grades rely on McGraw Hill assignments and essays. She gives good feedback for every essay.

Dr Moody is very kind and a VERY easy grader. There are 5 essays and the class is pretty constant with writing, you finish one, you start another. Attendance is not technically mandatory but you need to go to class for participation and to get a better understanding of assignments given. Would recommend!

Two 1200-word literary analyses, one history PowerPoint, intermittent quizzes and brief presentations on reading material (always simple), short literary analyses for midterm and final. Nitpicky feedback on essays - yet perfect scores for both of them and the midterm.
