Rather than just memorizing the material, she really pushes you to understand and make the connections on what is covered. You will need the textbook for this class as the exams are based off the content. She has a great personality, sense of humor and very informative.

awesome prof! its a lot of work for a 3 credit class but in the end of the day it pays off. i didn't do well on my tests at all and still got an A, since the class includes a lot of different components adding up to ur final grade including extra credit! take her and u defiantly wont regret it.

90% final grade is based on the test. There's four test, she will drop one the lowest. However, all her tests are so difficult and confusing. It's so hard to have a good grade. Her lecture is so interesting. If you want a A, don't take her. If you don't want a boring lecture, take her.

I did most of the reading and did more than fine. She hands out sick notes for her tests (I still recommend taking your own as well), drops your lowest grade (including your final), and gives you a chance at extra credit. Really enjoyed having her, she really made psych exciting for me. Just show up and listen, with her it won't be hard!

Loved her as a teacher. I had her my first semester for Psy 11 and took her again for Psy 32. She's very helpful and understanding. Also really funny. She makes Psy interesting and inspired me to take up psy as a minor. Would recommend her class for any one taking Psy.

She likes early classes so be prepared to be there at 8. AM. Her class is worth it though. She makes you want to go to class and makes her class interring. Very easy to understand. Awesome teacher!

assigns 4 essays for the semester. you only have to do 2 and the other 2 is extra credit if you do it. her tests need to be studied for but they're not accumaltive ( like 3 chapters per test)

If you already took psychology in high school and didnt like it definitely take her class and she will change your perception of psychology. Dr Paler is an excellent teacher, her exams often have questions that were not really stressed in lecture but was apart of the required reading. Honestly if you read the ch the weekend before the exam you'll do fine.

excellent professor one of the best psychology professor's at KBCC.. helps you with any thing you need, explains in great detail about the work. Her test are challenging, and hard but if you read the text and the power point slides you'll do just fine.. she is definitely the professor you want to have for psychology.

I would absolutely recommend this professor if you are taking Psychology! Her energy in the class really makes you interested, she's also very fun to work with! As for the material, it is not too complicated. If you go over the slides after class at home, you will do just fine!

Overall she is a great professor, she has a great sense of humor and a nice personality but is a harsh grader. I did everything I can but the highest I got was a C+.

Dr. Paler is such an awesome professor, probably one of the best at Kingsborough. She clearly outlines everything you'll need to study at at the beginning of the semester and gives alot of extra credit. She's also very funny and energetic which makes you wanna learn and attend class. Just do all the work and follow the course outline. Easy A!

She's a caring individual who answers questions and gives great parables for understanding. If you do the few assignments she gives, and study lightly for the test, you should easily attain a B at the lowest.

She is very kind. Builds a bridge every class, I find that very helpful to remember the key points. If you miss a class, you will miss info that will be on the test. Lectures are fantastic, energetic, great use of examples. If you review your notes, and read the textbook, you should do well.

One of the most inspirational Professors by far. Her lessons, lecture and teaching methods are outstanding. I truly enjoyed going to class and doing the work required to do so in PSY32. Yes, there is reading and writing, as well as pop quizzes, however, the assignments are something that can broaden ones horizons! One Amazing professor by far 10/10

Professor Paler is funny and clear. Her classes are to the point and she loves open discussion bringing in examples and anecdotes to help remember everything. It is exam heavy because she spreads her exams throughout instead of 2 big ones which totally helps your grade and makes it easier. Wish I could take this class again.

Prof. Paler was awesome & down to earth. This was a writing intensive course so be prepared. Her expectations are clear and she posts everything on BlkBrd. Class was always engaging & she taught the material in a relatable way. **She does give pop quizzes, but she usually reviews the material right before she tells you to clear your desk.

She is a very nice and entertaining teacher. The work in class seems easy and interesting but the tests are 10000 times harder. Your whole grade depends on 5 tests. There is no graded class work or homework. If you are not a good test taker then goooooood luck...

Class was hybrid but mostly online. She gives you a lot of different ways to learn the material- videos, slideshow, textbook and in-person teaching. Personally, I used the textbook and wrote my own notes.
