I love this teacher. She is interesting and funny and really cares about her students. She prefers to give essay tests (short answer) but gives study guides and lets you make up credit and earn extra credit. Advertising is not as easy as you probably think and this class was hard. But I learned more about marketing in this class than in any other.

One of my favorite teachers of all time. It really bums me out that I won't be able to take any more classes with her.

No finer teacher in the dept., school, or any of the other 2 schools I have attended. Caring, thorough, complete, understanding, and passionate. She is my "exibit A" why all colleges should employ nothing but adjuncts. A professor currently working in the industry- Imagine That!!! Oh, and did I mention she's beautiful?

I go back and forth with this professor. I appreciate her energy and knowledge for the subject. My learning was enhanced from her teaching. The class was easy, but the tests were challenging. She is one smart cookie! She should be teaching more classes at UNO. I think that she would have a greater impact on the students then she allows herself!

I've only had 3 classes so far this semester but I already know that I LOVE this professor. I come to class tired and leave energized. 3 hours fly by. She makes the matrial come alive. I might have to comment again if the tests turn out to be horroble but at this point, this is my best class of the semester and my favorite teacher.

Alright, now here is an interesting teacher. You have an absolute liberal. Know that.. ALSO know that she thinks of Apple, not the fruit, as GOD. I mean it when I say, DO NOT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT APPLE INC. After you can get passed her "cult-like" opinions, she is very effective. Read the Ch's + Notes & you'll be ok. Kinda hot, but old.

Teacher loves her Apple computers and she is VERY liberal. She is a good teacher and she gets her point across well. Overall she did an awesome job. You will have some good and crazy discussions in her class.

She was great!! Really cares about us learning and told and showed us lots of interesting new things that were not in the book. I really learned a lot and I like this teacher and would take her again.

Wasn't thrilled about the AA meeting style group introduction, or the 15 minutes spent taking role every class. Prone to asking loaded questions. So far she is concise and able to relate the subject to real world examples. Self proclaimed liberal which should make class interesting considering my moderate stance and argumnetative nature. cute

She is one of the best teachers i have had at uno. She knows the material and make it easy to understand. Her class is not really hard. If you attend to all the classes, take good notes and read the text book you will be able to make an A. I recommend this professor to everybody.

Great teacher whose voice carries through auditorium. She applies the material to many things in our daily lives in a fun way. Great teacher.

Tests are fair - she puts questions with close answers together so you can figure out the difference. Read the book and WRITE DOWN the examples she gives in class - you'll see them again! No tricks here, just real live concern. She's not what I would call sexy - but she's certaintly not hard on the eyes!

A little bit flaky but nice. Tests are easy and use study guide if she gives one. No homework and give extra credit. She cancels class a decent amount as well but if you aren't there when she tells the class, you're out of luck. And she takes FOREVER to post test grades even if scantron. Sometimes took 2 weeks to post grade

She made the class fun and exciting. She was very fair and the test were easy as long as you took notes and also study the online study guides from the book.

The class is conducted in a manner where she doesn't give exact notes but more of examples. MOst of the time I find myself not knowing what notes I should be writing...ur better off reading the book

Lol at comment below. You are right: she talks about bands at every lecture. Palumbo is effective, although she can be a scattered mess sometimes. Go to class, take good notes (especially the examples), and use the book as a supplement to her lectures. Tests are, 75% of the time, from what she talks about in class.

Personally, I found her a bit annoying. She lectures straight from the book and her tests are sometimes all over the place. However, there are some unexpected perks to her class that make her constant rambling about her family tolerable. I'd take her class again if I had to becuase it's not that hard to get a good grade.

I love Palumbo! Great teacher. One of the best I've had at UNO. Kept class interesting and entertaining and it made me want to start paying attention to all kinds of marketing stuff. Her tests aren't necessarily easy, but the assignments were fun and helpful. I'm taking her again this semester and would definitely recommend her.

Professor Palumbo is crystal clear. Participate, listen and do the study guides. I almost never took notes, but sat in the front of the class, and got an "A". She loves the subject and makes it really interesting. Take her. She is the best teacher ever.

Very clear about requirements. Tests are very hard if you do not study. Do not underestimate test difficulty! She gives huge bonus points if you take on a fairly involved project. But, the project is helpful for your own career planning. I enjoyed the class. Learned quite a bit since I knew next to nothing about marketing. Good teacher.

If you really study and can learn the in-depth meaning of marketing and its' strategies, you're good. Test's will not be terms and are made by her so can be rather difficult. Palumbo is really nice and teaches common sense

I took Palumbo a few semesters ago for 3501 & liked her. took her again for consumer behavior last semester and LOVED her. I don't get the person who said she's judgmental. I've never met a less judgmental person ever and she always took the time out to answer questions and help. Lectures were interesting and sometimes really funny. I learned a lot

I love Lisa Palumbo! A cool lady that makes marketing a fun subject. The key to getting an A in her class is to take notes on the examples she gives on certain topics. 9 times outta 10, she will use the same example that she gives in class. She does not test you on definitions but gives examples of them and expects you to know what is by example

Professor Palumbo has shown a great passion for marketing and people in general. She effectively provided examples that went along with the topics. She consistently allocated the proper amount of time to cover all material in the time available while making the class go by in a reasonably quick paced manner. NO NEED FOR TEXTBOOK! ALL LECTURE NOTES!

Good teacher & person. Her lectures get long. Test are mainly examples. Most of the time they are examples used in class. I would take her again. Also, she looks a lot like Lisa Cuddy from House.

Engaging Lectures

Lisa Palumbo is an amazing teacher. Her lectures are long and you should never skip class, she gives a lot of examples and keeps the class interesting. Take notes AND read the book. Also, yes, she brought her kitty to class because she could not leave it at home, but she asked if anyone was bothered by it, not a distraction whatsoever.

I had to take this class for my major and was prepared for what I saw in bad reviews but never experienced any of what people complained about. This is a really good teacher who cares and will help you as much as you need it. Her tests make you really think hard and you have to REALLY understand the material to do well but i loved this subject.

She can be a little disorganized, but her lectures are great. If you pay attention in class you should be fine. Make sure you take good notes, and you won't need the book. She makes study guides for the tests that tell you exactly what you need to know. The test are mostly examples, so you really have to understand the material. Would take again!

She's nice, funny, and gives pretty good lectures. She is a little bit unorganized. In our class, there were 5 exams, extra credit opportunities, NO homework . There are study guides for the exams but the exams are knowing how to apply the concepts to examples. They are pretty hard. Going to class is a BIG DEAL. You will lose points if you skip.

Ms. Palumbo is the best professors I've ever had. Everything that is on the study guide and lecture are fair game for the tests. She does not spoon feed the material to you so listening to her lectures and the examples that she uses are very important.

Lisa is pretty chill, but you have to put in the work. She won't just give out a passing grade, but as long as you don't wait until the last second for everything you'll do fine. She's also a cool person outside of school, so if you're having issues just reach out to her. She expects you to act like an adult.

I'm here to ease your nerves, it was not that bad. If I'm being totally honest, people on here who were complaining probably didn't put in that much work. This course requires a lot of time to be set aside. But my best suggestion for this course (MKT3501) DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! and READ THE TEXT!! The textbook is where her lectures derive from!!
